One Fun Day... Or Two.. Or Three...(SG)

Oh! That was right! The teacups would be really fun! They could spin around and... Spin! Yeah! "Right!" she exclaimed back excitedly already starting to bounce lightly on her heels again. And then they could go on more rides and have more fun and everything would be great and and and and yeah! Looking down again, Rosa watched as the cart just before theirs was pulled in and opened causing people to get out and new people to get in. Blue eyes caught Ryan's expression, and Felis found himself confused. However, worry soon grew after that as Ryan spoke. It left him feeling... well bad for even talking about Miguel. As another thought came to Feliciano, it only made him feel worse. Ryan didn't have someone like that? But...but...but everyone needed someone like that. Felis hadn't even realized this fact two years earlier when it had simply been just Rosa and himself left. Rosa was someone, of course, but it wasn't the same as having an adult there to talk to about matters that didn't concern children. However, after these thoughts finished cyclically spilling worry and empathy into Felis's being, he came to a conclusion. He could be that kind of person! He could help Ryan with whatever he needed and be a friend! Why not, right? Plus that would keep Ryan around so Rosa could play with Kitty more. There didn't seem to be any downside to this! A wave of hope splashed Felis, and he was smiling rather cheerily after that. "It's nice," he hummed lightly. "You know... I bet you have someone like that and you don't even realize it," he said rather adamantly. [/scrolly]

Ryan blinked a bit as his enthusiasm, but grinned and let out a light laugh all the same. Felis was so... What was even the word? ... Bright, he guessed? Not.. in the smart way-- err-.. not that he thought Felis was dumb either of course just.. Like... light.. heh. It wasn't just optimism. Like.. he seemed to sort of give off a light. It was both wonderful and a bit harsh on his eyes. He'd been in the dark for so long. Still, that smile never faded, and he missed no more than one beat his laugh and his "Nah.."

He thought about it just to be sure, but drew the same conclusion. "I mean.. There's Jae. I guess she's really helped with Kitten lately, but.." He shook his head. "I could ne'er think of 'er like that. She's more 'r less a li'l sister, too, ya know?" Of course, in Ryan's mind, he was being absolutely perfectly clear and there was no way that he and Felis might be on completely different pages; that would have been silly.

Meanwhile, Kitty beamed at Rosa, then just watched the cart and the Ferris wheel in general in silence. She listened intently as it began to creeeaak, and then looked down to watch as the last distance between them and the ground closed., until finally their position was secured with a click! At that click, Kitty began to giggle like mad. She didn't know what it was, but she found something about it incredibly amusing, and that was much better than being sad that the ride was over, so she was going to stick to that~

He was sure there was someone! Jae? Who was -er- Felis didn't quite understand, but the short description was enough to make him nod a little. After a moment, he crossed his arms and set a hand on his chin. "Come on~ Keep thinking," he encouraged making a gesture with his index finger tapping at his temple. As Kitty began to giggle, Rosa took it up, and a quiet few giggles came out of her as well. By the time the door to the cart had been opened, the blonde was giggling rather hard still not sure exactly what she was laughing at. However, upon seeing that a few people were waiting for her to exit, Rosa looked back at Kitty before taking her hand and starting out. "That was so fun!" she announced managing to get in an actual sentence before she giggled again. Now... they just had to wait or... But she didn't want to wait! Looking around, Rosa tried to spot the teacups from where they were.... [/scrolly]

Ryan gave a small laugh at the enthusiasm before just shaking his head again, then looking away a bit and covering the far side of his face with a hand. "Really. I... don' really have any connection ta most people I use' ta know anymore." He only hoped that was vague enough. "There was.. sorta someone a while back." He lowered his hand then and shrugged. It was hard to say whether the look that came to his face was more grin or grimace, but his words were light and calm and accepting either way. "But I dun think 'e was inda guys.. Heh." Also he prolly wants me dead now. He mentally laughed. That tends ta put a damper on a relationship.

Kitty only beamed harder when Rosa took her hand, and she squeezed it a bit and quickly followed- as if she had any choice, but if she had she would have been quick anyway! She went over a few thoughts in her head a bit, and then nodded adamantly before declaring, "I made up my mind!" She turned to Rosa and looked up at her almost fiercely. "You are defi'itely, defi'itely!-" whether it was repeated for emphasis or in attempt to enunciate only Kitty would ever know- "Go'n ta be my new very! bestest! friend!" She nodded adamantly again before immediately faltering, placing her free hand to her mouth and becoming a bit uncertain. "Er... maybe other than Sage. She's sorta been there forever and stuff so... er... And Ryan?"

She glanced back to the Ferris wheel, where there cart had just been loaded up, and that creak was starting that would bring their big brothers all the way down. "Ryan doesn' count, right? .. Do big brothers count? ... Do Pokemon even count??" When did this get so confusing? ;3;

The last part, though... that last part was...."I see..." he frowned slightly before reaching forwards and patting Ryan on the shoulder before managing a smile, somehow. "Well then, that just means someone's coming that you haven't met yet... but he or she will! I'm sure!" he announced. After a moment, Felis realized that they had descended to the bottom and were about to be clicked into place and then forced to exit. Eh? Rosa's eyes looked back at Kitty's as she stated she had made up her mind. However, as Kitty explained, Rosa broke into a huge smile that nearly consumed all of her face. Even as Kitty gave the stipulations, Rosa didn't quite care. She'd just been told she was a very best friend... which meant Kitty was her very best friend! "I dunno," she answered Kitty back honestly but keeping her smile and light air of excitement as it continued to mount. "But I've decided... you'll be my very best friend too!" she insisted. Somewhere in the world, Ion felt a disturbance in the force. [/scrolly]

Kitty squeaked and jumped a bit for joy. "Oh! Kay~!<3<3 So iss decided! From now on we're gonna be each others very bestest not-Pokemon not-brother friends!" Huzzah!<3 She heard the click then, and spun around, moving around Rosa and pulling her a little seeing as they were still attached. "Oh speaking of brothers~" She stuck her tongue out mockingly. "Silly Slowpokes needa hurry up!"

Ryan stared in mild disbelief at Felis for a moment (and tried to pretend that hand on his shoulder wasn't bringing a slight blush at all), but then just burst into an honest laugh, which was maintained until even a bit after exiting the cart. As it faded off, he sighed. Such a day this was becoming.

"C'mon, c'mon!" Kitty called from a small distance. "We're goin' ta the teacups!"

Ryan grinned and tried not to let her see him roll his eyes. "Yer the princesses," he humored. "Lead the way!" Kitty squeaked in delight at this, starting to rush the direction she thought they were before becoming a bit unsure, then stopping and looking to Rosa for guidance instead. Ryan chuckled lightly to himself, shaking his head. Kids were so great.. Taking a deep breath, then, he turned back to Felis. "Hey.." His expression fell a bit, his smile uncertain but still sincere. "...Thank you," he almost murmured. They.. should probably get moving before losing sight of the girls... Mm.

"Ok! And we'll be best friends forever!" she chimed after that before Kitty noted that the boys had finally come down. Looking back to see them, she beamed. Before she realized it, Rosa found herself being dragged along at least until Kitty stopped and looked at her. Oh right! Tea Cups! Putting a hand on her forehead for a visor and looking around like a determined new scouter, she finally caught sight of them the ride the distance... or what she assumed was it considering it was spinning and twirling and :U OH IT JUST HAD TO BE IT OK? GOOD. "That way!" Rosa called out extending her free hand to point at the ride in the distance before suddenly charging along. Ryan's words, though short, were enough to bring a large smile to his face. "Any time~" he answered back before looking towards where he had seen the girls last......Only to watch Rosa take off like a rocket through the crowds. Sweat dropping a moment, he looked at Ryan before making a head gesture towards where he had last seen the girls and started to follow suit. "I hope we don't lose them...." he mumbled quietly after a moment. He doubted that Rosa would wander off the Castle grounds, but he didn't want to lose sight of her with this many people around. Kitty ran along with Rosa, giggling all the while and taking in everything she could as they passed ride after stand. "We should try that too," she'd note, as much to herself as Rosa. "Ooh an' we should c'me back for that game!" Interestingly enough, the Cherrim they'd initially fought over in a sense had been quite forgotten. "Oh there stuff looks nice.." And more giggling as she clung to her bestest best friend for all of ever at least if ever started five minutes ago.

"We won't," Ryan answered flatly, taking on a serious expression. Running to a bedroom in a well-guarded private area was one thing, but getting lost in a crowd was another. He gave them just a few moments to see if they'd slow, but when they kept their pace, Ryan quickly darted off to close about three fourths of the gap. He left them just a little space for themselves, then, but from here he could watch much more easily. Of course, he knew he'd kind of ditched Felis, and hoped the Duke understood.. heh.. With a slight sheepishness returning to his demeanor, he glanced back over his shoulder then to see if his new friend was coming. He was sure he'd catch up either way, and Ryan's tall form and blazing hair certainly made an easier beacon to track than two elementary-aged children, but he did hope he'd be right there.

"Ok! We'll ride them all!" she decided whipping her head sideways and looking at Kitty with a huge grin before looking forwards again and continuing to head forwards. That would be fun! They'd ride them all and then some! As Ryan had suddenly darted off, Feliciano blinked but slowly smiled. He did, in fact, understand. Speeding up his pace as much as possible, he continued walking faster trying to keep up with Ryan. Managing to catch up after nearly an extra twenty seconds, Felis found a laugh escaping from him. "You certainly move fast," he huffed slightly. He felt out of shape, which was probably a bit true considering actually working out wasn't something that he did on a regular basis if at all. After that, Felis's eyes looked off towards the girls, and a fuller smile came back to his face. "They're pretty fast as well," he hummed a little shaking his head slightly. As they finally came to the Tea Cups, Rosa skidded to a quick halt, nearly falling on her face but catching herself a the last moment. Throwing her head back and looking at the ride, Rosa giggled and looked back at Kitty a huge grin on her face. "Tea Cups!" she beamed as though the ride itself wasn't obvious enough. Looking back towards the boys, she flailed her free arm. "Over here slowpokes!" she called using Kitty's word now. [/scrolly]

Ryan gave a sheepish grin in response before looking back to the girls. "She keeps me on my toes." Poor Kitty had been through more than enough when Ryan had been off doing whatever. He was determined to be the best guardian he could now that he was her.

Kitty giggled at Rosa's claim. "Yeah!" She brought both fists to her mouth as her face flushed a bit and her eyes crinkled with her mirth. "Ryan's like a Slowbro!" she teased, building it up. The pun with him being her actual 'bro' didn't hit her. "And Felis is da sloooooooooowest." During this word, her arms extended and she spun in a circle slowly. It seemed for whatever reason as good a representation as any of being really slow. "He's a Slowking!" The pun with Felis actually being Duke, or equivalent of a king assuming she and Rosa were actually princesses for the day, was completely lost on her as well.

Ryan got it though, even if unintended, and laughed quite a bit at both puns, more the latter than the prior. Furthermore, he smirked a bit at Felis. " 'Ell, 't least yer the smart one, eh?" He chuckled a bit more at this self-deprecating humor just because.

The puns actually hit her in another second which only brought another stream of giggles from her, and she quite literally fell backwards and began to roll on the ground... upsetting and dirtying her dress as she did so. This realization hit her too fast, and Rosa froze before quickly getting up again and brushing off her clothes as quickly as she could. "But Kitty! What does that make us?" she asked with a sudden worried voice. Felis couldn't help but chuckle to himself at Kitty's words. She was too good. At Ryan's words, the blond grinned. "But I have a parasite biting at my cranium," he snorted. Though it was debatable whether Shelder was really a parasite considering it was more of a symbiotic relationship between the Slowpoke and the Shelder, the general thought of anything chomping down on someone's head gave the image of pain. Ryan, on the other hand, briefly considered the thought of biting Felis's head in response before realizing both that he would never be that bold in a trillion years and that that would imply he was parasitic and no that was yeah he'd pass.. x'3;; Annnnyway... Thinking a little more past that idea, then, he suddenly laughed as something else hit him. "And I've got one on my ass." Mentally he cringed slightly as soon as he said it; Kitty was pretty good about not picking up his vocabulary, but he didn't know how Felis felt about Rosa. Still, he tried not to react too heavily for now and just made the mental note.

Kitty, meanwhile, had found herself suddenly struggling with Rosa's question. "Uhhh..." She went through so many answers, most of which made no sense. "Um uh we're-.." Finally, after a fair bit more hesitation and stuttering, she finally stopped with a dawning look of realization, then beamed proudly. "We're their awesome princess trainers, silly!" She nodded a few times heavily.

"That's a bit worrying," he hummed half smiling before shaking his head. Suddenly realizing what a toothy hat would do to his hair, Felis sweat dropped even more. Yeaaaaaaaah :B no. As Kitty came to the most perfect of conclusions, Rosa wondered why she hadn't thought of that before. "Oh right!" she nearly shouted before covering her mouth surprised at her own vocal chords. A second later, she was giggling. Whipping around, she looked back at the Tea Cups. With that question out of the way, it was time for more fun! However... the line that was there was a bit more daunting than the line that had been at the Wheel, and this caused Rosa to frown and puff up just a little. "So many people!" she stated before throwing her arms outwards and frowning more. [/scrolly]

Ryan was just glad for the moment that Felis had taken it well, even if it had taken him a moment. Kitty, meanwhile, looked to the line with Rosa, more concerned than upset. She let out a little whimper. "I.. hope we have time to ride everything..."

... Ryan sweatdropped a bit at this, a somewhat bewildered 'seriously?' sort of look coming to his face, but after a beat he forced an awkward laugh. "I'm... sure we'll get t'do plen'y even with all th'lines.." he tried to reassure her, but Kitty wasn't so convinced, looking up to the boys with wide, wet eyes.

"But what if we don't...?"

How.. did Ryan even answer that? "... Well...." Why was being a big brother hard?

She nodded her cranium each time she spoke causing the curling locks of hair to bounce in the process. Felis watched this and couldn't help but grin slightly before chuckling to himself. "Indeed," he answered back looking back towards Ryan in hopes the man would agree with him. In another second, the line moved, and Rosa stepped forwards causing Felis to step forwards in turn. There now... the line was moving fast, right? That was good.... [/scrolly]

"YAAAAAY<3" He was drowned out completely, growing all the more uncomfortable. Turning- or more bouncing- around to face Ryan, Kitty exclaimed, "Can we really?? It.." She looked contemplative a moment, then even brighter as she gasped. "It'd be like the biggest most ultsi-..ul-... awesomeful slumber party EVAR!"

Ryan visibly fought with himself. "I....." He sighed and attempted to take a deep breath for courage, failing at it. "I dunno Kitten.... I mean.... It's... a really nice idear an' all but I....." Parenting y u keep being difficult.

We have plenty of space here... though I think Ryan may have something else planned," he answered back. With that, Rosa whipped around again and looked at Ryan with almost a demanding expression written on her features. "See?!" [/scrolly]

Still he looked borderline pained. "I..." Kitty clung to Rosa, giving him the biggest pleading eyes, and Ryan couldn't quite suppress a small whimper in response. "It's not so much... plans as..." He sighed. "I didn't plan fer us ta stay so long..?" How did one explain to a new friend, 'oh, by the way, I'm constantly moving because the fucking mafia of Era probably wants me dead'?

He rubbed the back of his head uncomfortably, eyes averting to the ground. "An' no offense er anythin', but I jus'..... There's only one person I trus' ta watch Kitty for me, an' that's only cuz I've known'r since she was in diapers and I was in first grade. Y'understand, right..?"

Dammit those pleading eyes weren't going away; in fact they were getting worse. The same hand moved to cover his face a minute as he groaned. "Kitten I..." Yeah he wasn't going to win this fight was he. Sighing in conceit, he finished, "I guess we could look for a hotel though... You don't really want to be here all alone, do ya?"

The girl let out a little meep at that, and moved back to Ryan. "..Guess not," she admitted. She hadn't really been thinking about that part...

So back to Felis, and with a little more relaxed look, "Got any suggestions?" He really hoped he didn't need to directly mention a price range for the Duke to get that something cheap would probably be preferred...

There was probably some sort of time schedule or something -- or at least that was the best Felis could relate it. As Ryan continued, Felis slowly nodded. "None taken," he answered back quietly. There were few that Felis would leave Rosa with and reflected that situation well enough into Ryan's case. However, as Ryan mentioned a hotel, Felis slowly smiled. Rosa won. Rosa was getting to keep playing with her new bestest best friend. Rosa was pleased, very pleased. Breaking into a huge grin, she clapped her hands together. "That means you'll come back tomorrow right?" she asked rapidly as though demanding a confirmation of this. Felis blinked and breathed inwards quietly before reaching forwards and patting Rosa on the head causing the girl to calm a little. "There's a inn not too far down the road," the blond said bringing a hand to his chin and trying to remember where exactly it was. The inn itself had actually been set u shortly after the declaration that the Spring Festival was going to start up mostly to allow people to have such a place to stay. The prices weren't too bad, really. [/scrolly]

Oh, no, Rosa, please don't ask him to make promises. "...We'll try," he told the older of the two girls.

Kitty gave a little cry of despair. "Wha'd'you mean try?"

Ryan visibly cringed, then took a moment and several deep breaths to calm the small surge of frustration. Composing himself fully, he explained, "I just don't want to let your friend down if something comes up.." Pleease don't ask what could come up.. As another thought hit, he frowned a bit and added, "And you know if we spend money on a hotel, we're going to have less for rides, right?" That.. really should have been a given, but she was seven years old. He liked to be sure to remind her money was a limited thing they had to be careful about.

Kitty sighed and looked away. "Yeah..." Still pouty, she thought aloud, "There should be a free hotel.." Heh! ...That wasn't too terrible an idea. Blinking, Ryan lowered his hand and gave Felis a questioning glance, curious what he'd think or if campers at the festival was a normal enough thing or what.
