Good, she was cooperating then. "First thing's first~" she chimed. Spinning on her heels, she headed out to the hall before backing back to the door as if remembering, "Come on. Your room is just depressing." And if I have to stare at that damn Absol another minute you're going to lose it. She waited for Vengeance before heading off again. "We'll try some makeup and maybe do something with your hair in a minute. First, though, we're going to find you some decent clothes. Hearing Kali speak, Vengeance nodded, more or less going along with whatever Kali said and looked where they were going. It was dark in the lab which made it a little more difficult to see where they were going, still Vengeance noticed that they were heading somewhere in the lab and momentarily wondered where they were headed but pushed the thought aside. It would do no good to worry about something as trivial as where they were headed anyway... Edana was sleeping curled up in a little ball when she heard footsteps and jumped, startled out of the dream she had been having >3 whoever was up at this hour better have a good reason for startling her. Looking around, the little Torchic blinked sleepily before seeing Kali and Vengeance walking somewhere. 0_o wha.... what was going on and why were they even up this late. Curious, she got up and followed the two humans, she had just caught up with them when Edana heard Kali say something about makeup and clothes. o.o! Wait...was Kali helping Vicki? maybe this would help with that other guy to get the picture ~_~ last time she had to peck him until he got the message...but...maybe this way would help~. Whatever was here, apparently she wanted to ensure it stayed safe. "My room was starting to get cluttered," she explained, then opened the door and flipped on the light. "So I cleaned out a room and made it my closet~" The room... was very nearly the size of one of their bedrooms, and was filled with stacks upon stacks of folded clothes and several rows of things hung on racks and rods. In one corner sat six bins for dirty clothes, four of which seemed to be full. The clean ones looked to be sorted according to type, style, and color, with a few exceptions that stood out, hanging alone, such as a few shirts and an extremely ornate red ball gown. "Leon said I could move my stuff into his room soon~" she bragged. "So I figured I'd find a better place for it rather than making him dig through all this." She chuckled slightly. Or, you know, change his mind because I had too much to move. :'3 As she spoke, Kali began browsing over the clothes, trying to decide what might look good on Ven that she didn't mind lending out.[/scrolly]	[atrb=style,border:0 black none;]

Two was plenty for her...but apparently Kali didn't think so and looking at the mass of clothes around the room, Vengeance could see why if the girl was used to having this much clothing. "An entire room...for clothes..."Vengeance muttered, stepping into the room and surveying all the different styles and colors Kali had, completely ignoring the comment about moving in with Yue. Edana scurried into the room behind Vengeance and nearly fell over when she saw all the clothes. o3o wow this was...o3o ohhey look a pretty dress and it's RED. The Torchic was about to examine it further when she spotted Kali going through a pile of clothes and went up to her, pecking her lightly on the leg to get her attention. "Torchicep?" >3< no that wasn't right....."Hepchic?" >3<;;;;;"Help?" YES! She'd said it! Looking up at Kali, she looked over at Vengeance and then back at the pile of clothes again, hoping that Kali would understand that she wanted to help Vengeance and didn't actually need help. Where else would I put them? Split up into more smaller rooms?" Clearly, she had missed the actual point. About that time, a small poke was felt, and Kali only just refrained from jumping as she looked down, only to breathe out a sigh of relief. Oh hey, it talks.. Kinda. Kali blinked a bit. "Wha'd'you need?" She assumed wrong. After following the Torchic's glances a few rotations, though, she did get it. "Oh! You wanna help Ven?" She shrugged. "Eh, why not I guess. Just don't mess anything up." If she tore a hole in something with those claws or ended up burning something, Kali would.... She shook off the thought, deciding to prepare for that only if it happened. Kali grabbed a tank top then and held it up toward Vengeance, squinting her eyes before tossing it down by the pile. Spotting a darkish colored shirt?blouse?something on the ground the Torchic flew over to it and gently pulled it out, managing not to tear it thank goodness. For a minute, there, she thought her bragging was going to go ignored. "Because," she started in a rather prideful tone before dipping to something more sly. "Our boss happens to be my boyfriend~ And I don't like sleeping alone." She gave a soft yet somewhat deep laugh then. So perhaps she was implying a little more than was actually happening, and technically she was lying a bit but he was her boyfriend in everything except name, so why not? If she was lucky, Ven would realize who she was dealing with and start listening when Kali said something. As her attention was pulled away to the blouse, Kali looked it over. "Eh.. It's borderline, but that might work.. We'll start a maybe pile.." she decided, then tossed the shirt over to an empty spot. ...Actually, she just might give Ven that one. Maybe. She wasn't even sure why she'd gotten that.. Apparently she hadn't gotten the implication. Ah well. "Well, a little now.. Heh." She really shouldn't be saying this. Her little secrets were none of the other woman's business. But then, she did love an opportunity to rant about Leon in any situation, and this was the first she'd really had to brag about their change of status. Not to mention any little tidbit just might make Ven a little jealous, which would just be winning all around- it would inflate Kali's ego and make her more likely to want more attention from Hatter. "It's just so nice having someone to snuggle with.. After enough nights of that, being in an empty bed feels lonely." A slow smile came to her face even as she took the new shirt from Edana, shook her head, and gave it back. "And.. his bed smells like him," she squeaked a bit, remembering a few nights she'd slept there without asking and when he wasn't even there for that very reason. She had felt safe...hadn't she...yes...that made sense didn't it...but then...Lily had- "Stop it...there's no use thinking about the past any longer..."

Edana placed the shirt back in the pile she'd found it and found a different shirt o3o blue would be good right =3? Unfortunately the shirt was just a little bit too high for her to reach and well...she could only fly so high D8 hmmm what to do... well she could always ask for help =3 that'd be better than trying to get it and be buried in a clothes avalanche o3o yeah ask for help. Going over to Kali again, the Torchic flapped her wings and chirped, trying to get the girl's attention to show her the shirt.

Well-.. that could have gone better. Things were becoming awkward, and it was hard to continue after a silence; Kali's mind raced. Um... ...Of course, it didn't at all help that she'd only woken up recently after not nearly enough sleep. In trying to think, she didn't really notice Edana for all her attention-getting escapades. When she finally did, she didn't really look, muttering instead, "Mm, yeah, on the pile..." The torchic was about to do just that when she looked up at the rather large pile of clothes and thought better of it. .____. ummmm....if that fell....wellllll....she'd be one squished bird wouldn't she? Maybe if she just found another one...but that one was so pretty and o3o wait was that sparkles? "Just be careful not to mess anything up or get it too out of order, like I told- oh what is it, bird?" she asked, suddenly noticing the chirps. Turning around now, she saw her motions and realized she must not be able to reach something in the stack she was pointing at. "Ah.. You know, you need to either learn to talk completely or not at all. This whole few-words thing is really weird." Following her over, she watched to see what she was pointing to, then fell flatly silent for a few moments. "...Ah, nothatone'smine." she muttered, burying it within some others to get it out of sight and hopefully out of mind. Leering sharply, she suddenly realized she should say, "Remember anything I lend you here is only borrowed. If you really can't see time to go shopping I'll take some money from you one day and go for you." Every once in a while a shirt would grab her attention, mostly red or black shirts similar to the colors she already wore, and Vengeance would pull out the shirt and examine it before placing it back where she'd found it. Finding nothing she liked, Vengeance moved to a different pile and started looking through it. After rummaging through the pile much as she had the other one, she stopped when she came across a dark teal/grey shirt. Pulling it out of the pile, Vengeance unfolded it and looked at the blouse, examining it in the light; the blouse had embroidery on the shoulders and chest area along with a ribbon that was tied in a bow in the middle of the neckline. The sleeves weren't as long as Vengeance were used to, but compared to the other shirts in Kali's collection were rather long. After a moment of examining it, Vengeance turned to Kali with the shirt still in her hands,"How about this one..." Edana nearly face planted when Kali said she needed to learn to talk >_< well she had been trying but well...self-teaching was taking a long time and it wasn't like anyone was going to help her. The Torchic let out a sigh when Kali shoved the blouse aside and was about to look for more when Vengeance turned to Kali with a pretty blouse in her hands. =3 Yeah that would work right and then maybe the man would pay more attention this time and not be so oblivious ^_^ yeah that would be good~. Hm? Well, it wasn't exactly what she was thinking, but.. "I guess," she was saying when the Torchic piped up. Huh. Well, if they both agreed, she supposed it was acceptable. "Put it with the maybe pile. We'll go ahead and find two or three more and then some bottoms to go with them so you'll have enough to tie you over for a bit until we can buy your own." Mm.. This would be a lot easier if she knew what Hatter liked, wouldn't it.. Other than scaring the fuck out of her and breaking into people's houses and leaving footprints on her ceiling, of course. Arceus, if he'd never watched her in her sleep she'd be a bit surprised. Only 'a bit' because she wondered if he had the attention span for something like that. Really, Ven couldn't pick any other man? Of course.. If she had, Kali wouldn't really give a damn and wouldn't be doing this. Sighing, she found a grayish-green somwhat trailing halter top and tossed it toward the newest pile. Just under it, a brown shirt with teal damask and flared half-sleeves caught her eye as well, and was thrown after. Eh, she'd let Ven find one more if she wanted. This time, a darker shirt caught Vengeance's eye; a black shirt with blue and red beads stitched all over it and dark brown square beads just below the neckline made to look like a necklace of sorts. Studying the shirt in the light, Vengeance studied it a while longer before looking over at Kali,"How about this..." Vengeance asked, holding up the shirt for Kali to see. Edana chirped happily and went over to help Kali look for bottoms to go with the shirts when she caught sight of the shirt Vengeance was holding. o3o it had red...and sparkly and... now completely distracted from any thought of helping, the Torchic nodded, more or less jumping up and down in excitement. Um... Oh maybe it had been to go with-... Eh, whatever the case, she couldn't remember what she'd thought to put with it. "You can have that one," she answered dryly. Kali returned then to her rummaging though the pants, already having found several given much less variation among these. Certainly some had various designs stitched on sides or pockets, but rarely was it enough to make or break an outfit. Most of the more intricate things she was far to fond of to loan out. Of course, another minute into it and she spied a red, white, black, and blue patterned skirt that had in fact been what the shirt was for. ...Blah. Well, even she would feel petty suddenly taking it back now, and realistically Kali told herself that while it made a nice design in her head she wouldn't personally ever wear it or like how it looked on her. Heh. Maybe Ven then. Deciding 'what the hell' then, she grabbed this skirt and one other near it to pile onto the few pairs of pants and capris she'd already picked out. "This should do it," she announced. "Grab the shirt pile and let's go. With that, she picked up her own wad of clothing and began to head toward the door, stopping suddenly as a corner caught her eye. Right, shoes.. There were only five pairs there: flip flops, sandals, tennis shoes, some rather old sneakers, and a pair of heels she wouldn't wear again if someone paid her, with a sixth pair in her older flip-flops being in her room where she'd kicked them off. Kali was oddly never big on shoes, and had barely bought this many. The newer flip flops and tennis shoes were ridiculously gaudy/sparkly, and she just hadn't been able to resist. Only the sandals were somewhat practical, having been bought as a substitute for when she needed something formal-ish instead of those unholy death traps for feet. Well, she doubted Ven had any shoes of her own other than those.. boots or whatever they were that she always wore, so Kali grabbed the sandals as well and continued back off toward her room.[/scrolly]	[atrb=style,border:0 black none;]

This done, Vengeance waited until Kali seemed to have gotten everything and followed her out of the room without a word. Edana stared at the pretty shirt that Vengeance held up and chirped happily when Kali said that she could have the shirt. A few steps past the door to Vengeance's own, Kali suddenly stopped rather rigidly, then turned back. "One sec." Heading into Ven's room, she grabbed her hairbrush off the older woman's dresser again; apparently some time during their talking earlier, she had idly set it back down without even noticing. Well, at any rate.. Heading back out again, she went on ahead into her room, then grabbing a blanket off her bed and throwing it over the mirror of the rather large vanity she had at some point acquired. "No looking until we're done," she explained. Taking all the clothes, she selected an outfit out of the few things they'd picked out- a green shirt and black capris for tonight- and handed them to Vengeance. As she turned and began to go through the various make-up and such she had lying about, she went on, "Go ahead and change on that side of the room," nodding toward 'that' side behind her. Entering Kali's room, Vengeance continued to hold the shirts, not really sure what else to do with them and watched as Kali threw a blanket over the mirror. Heh...this was becoming rather interesting...not that she would've looked anyway...it didn't matter one way or the other really. Upon having the shirts taken from her and receiving a green shirt and black capris, Vengeance nodded and bent down to untie her shoes, setting them aside along with the pair of white socks she had been wearing; it'd be easier to change without them on anyway. Picking up the shirt and capris, Vengeance walked to the other side of the room behind Kali and proceeded to take off her shirt, revealing a black sports bra only just barely covering a rather ugly looking scar that stretched across her entire back from the right shoulder to her left hip. Slipping on the green shirt rather quietly, Vengeance finished changing rather quickly and turned around to face Kali,"I'm done..." Vengeance replied before more or less bunching up her other clothes and tossing them onto the bed. She would pick them up later when she left...or whenever she changed again, whichever came first. Edana followed Kali and Vengeance into the room and stayed by Kali's side, wondering what else she could do. Hmmm...well, it wasn't like she knew how to put on makeup...or do hair for that matter >>; not that she could do anything with these little wings...>3<; Looking up at Kali, the Torchic blinked and tilted her head to the side,"How...help?" she asked, hoping that she could at least help some...if only a little bit.
