Up For Some More Fun? (Fish/Open)

A rather quiet smirk came to Nami's face at Ty's answer, and she simply shook her head a little at his words. "Ya..." she finally stated taking to the second statements and looking around. After a few seconds, she caught sight of a House of Mirrors looking thing... though it seemed to be done up in flower designs and the like. After a few seconds, she laughed a little. "How about that?" she finally asked pointing over to said house.

[KARP KARP!]

Ty grinned yet again when she pointed out the house of mirrors. For some reason, Nami made him smile quite a bit; he wasn't used to that. Not that he didn't like it, there just usually wasn't much reason for him to smile when around another human.

"That looks like fun." He started walking to the house, rather eagerly.

[Jay]

Nami grinned again and nodded before heading over alongside Ty. When they did in fact get there, she once again paid and then started inwards. The very first mirror seemed to stretch one's head and shrink the rest of the body. A sudden giggle escaped the brown haired woman as she moved over towards it and started to do random poses in front of it trying to see what it would actually do. In the end, it simply seemed to elongate her neck somehow and retained the look of a big head. "Ya know it kind of reminds me of a doll..." she stated aloud still looking at the mirror.

[KARP KARP!]

Ty followed, feeling kind of bad that she had to pay for everything, today. But once inside, he saw Nami's reflection, and laughed.

Then, he turned, looking in another mirror. His reflection had a short, wide body, and a tiny head. "Heh...wow." Chuckling, he made his way back over to Nami, laughing at the numerous reflections he passed along the way.

[Jay]

Nami continued to walk noticing the different reflections of sorts and laughing lightly at them all. One of them seemed to twist her form a little, and for a few seconds, she stopped and stared slowly turning her head to one side before turning her head back and starting on again. Suddenly smirking a little, Nami looked towards Ty. "Ya know there was a legend that I heard a while back... if you don't break all the mirrors in a house after someone's died alone living there, a soul could get trapped in one." she smiled a little.

[KARP KARP!]

Ty continued on, walking next to Nami now. The thief could only laugh as the mirrors twisted, stretched, squashed, and distorted his figure in almost every way possible.

Nami's comment made him blink a moment, turning his head sideways. "Did not hear that one before...creepy." Ty sort of shuddered a little, just thinking about it. It was more than creepy to Ty; it was damn scary.

[Jay]

Though she would never admit it in words, Nami laughed a little rather pleased at the reaction she'd gotten. "I think it'd be fun to find a ghost in a mirror... just to set it free by breaking it," she answered back before looking into yet another mirror and seeing how it distorted her face much more than the rest of her. "The ghost of Picasso may be hiding in this one," she laughed making a motion to the picture. "hey have you ever drawn?"

[KARP KARP!]

"Free a ghost..." Ty said, face sort of dropping. "I vote nay." The man sort of shuddered again.

However, the mood was soon lightened again. "Heh...Actually, I haven't really. I'm lucky I know how to write," he admitted. Actually, Ty didn't even know who Picasso was, but he wasn't about to admit that...

[Jay]

Nami stopped a moment and turned her head to one side. The crash hadn't been that long ago... hadn't he had least gone to school? "Why?" was finally the question that came from Nami before her eye caught a mirror. She stared at it for a few seconds before looking back again and waiting for an answer before suddenly realizing that she should probably clarify. "Didn't you go to school?"

[KARP KARP!]

Ty shook his head. "Nope. My fa--Kel taught me," he replied, opting to no longer refer to Kel as his father. "If I didn't learn it by age thirteen, I just don't know it. And fun was out of the question back then..."

Ty's head sort of dropped, sad all of a sudden. So many painful memories.

[Jay]

Nami had stopped walking and was now biting her bottom lip rather hard. She didn't know whether to feel sorry for him, whether to tell him to go back to school, or whether to simply take it for what it was. At the end, her pride won out. "You should try and go to school sometime," she finally insisted. "An education is important and will get you a long way." Like she was one to talk having been through school and now just running around Era, but still... just knowing things was important...

[KARP KARP!]

Ty sort of blinked, just staring at her for a second. "I never really thought about it. I mean...I guess I know what I need to, but..." His voice trailed off; honestly, Ty didn't know if he'd last a day in school.

[Jay]

Nami bit her lip again unsure of what to say back to that. "Well..." her voice trailed off a bit for a few seconds before she came back stronger again. "Well we can get books and things, and you can read for yourself. It'd be kinda like going to school," she finally offered more or less hoping that would work.

[KARP KARP!]

Ty thought a moment, then gave a nod. "Makes sense. I do know how to read."

The man just sort of smiled; he had no clue why she was trying to help him. It seemed like they'd been friends for years even though they just met yesterday. Well, that's how it looked to Ty, anyway.

Nami brightened considerably at the answer and seemed to hod her head. "And plus, if you don't get anything, you can just ask me, and we'll figure it out," she answered back rather easily then and there. Slowly starting to walk again, Nami eyed the mirrors a bit more half laughing at a few and just looking confused at others. "So.... Kel is........ your dad," she finally stated thinking on what Ty had nearly said earlier.

[KARP KARP!]

"Thanks," he said with a smile as they continued to walk on. The distortions of himself in the mirrors were starting to make Ty feel better, when her next statement froze him in his tracks.

Letting out a sigh, he continued walking again. "Technically speaking...yeah...I haven't seen him since I was thirteen. And honestly....I don't want to."

[Jay]

Nami bit her lip again and wasn't sure if she wanted to open and pour salt into some wound that Ty was alluding to by the tone of his voice and by his word choice. After a few seconds, she breathed inwards and pushed a strand of hair out of her way. "I can understand.... not wanting to face someone," she finally sigehd as she found herself staring at a different mirror while walking past it. "I don't think I could face my mom at the moment," she half chuckled half sighed.

[KARP KARP!]

Ty looked over at her for a minute. "Oh...I'm sorry to hear that," was all he could think of to say.

Due to the man's lifestyle and 'upbringing,' he wasn't very good in helping people with a lot of things. Words sort of escaped him, so he put his hand on her shoulder comfortingly, and hoped it was the right thing to do.

[Jay]

Nami was a tad surprised by the gesture but rather calmed by it. "It's alright," she finally answered back. "She just got carried away with what she wanted for me... and what she thought was best, I guess..." Nami shook her head a little before looking over and noticing a mirror that was cracked. Eh? Had someone broken it? "Hey... do you see that mirror?" Nami finally asked looking sideways a moment. It wasn't as though she were directly trying to change the subject... ok maybe she was but still.....That was... odd... a broken mirror in the house of mirrors? One would think they'd keep an eye on something like that....

[KARP KARP!]

"At least she wanted something for you. That shows she cares, well, in my opinion. I mean, Kel couldn't care less where I am, what I'm doing, or anything. You have someone. Me, I don't have anyone."

Ty blinked, looking at the mirror. "That's...odd...I'm pretty sure that's not supposed to be broken."
