Surprises (Elayne/Caden/Open)

Elayne blushed when Felis hugged her and simply looked at him when he released her, speechless,"Thank you..."she whispered, looking down slightly out of embarrassment,"I didn't....even remember...it's been just another day for years..."

Elayne would've stayed there for a while longer had she not been given a....Pichu balloon. Well...that was unexpected...smiling good-naturedly at Tai, Elayne laughed slightly and thanked him with a nod. Shortly after that, Rosa proclaimed that they should have cake now, swinging the arms of Miguel and Tai back and forth impatiently. Looking up, Elayne laughed softly at the young girl and moved over towards the table with the cake on it. "Of course Rosa,"Elayne said in an amused voice, before picking up the knife with the intention of cutting the cake. No sooner had she done this though that the sight of blond hair in the bushes stopped her cold, causing her to drop the knife where it landed with a CLANG on the table. Eyes wide with shock and surprise, Elayne all but gaped at the sight of the young women until she finally found her voice.

"CORA?!"Elayne all but exclaimed, her voice sounding more like a high pitched squeak before returning to normal,"How....what are you doing here?!" she asked in an unbelieving voice...of all the things to have happen on her birthday, the last thing Elayne had ever expected was to see Cora here of all places, so close to the nobles that Elayne knew she didn't care for.

Miguel smiled at Elayne's surprise and would have walked over to her to assure her that there was no need to be embarrassed when Rosa grabbed a hold of his hand and proceeded to swing it back and forth before announcing to the entire party that they should have cake. Laughing softly at this, Miguel ruffled the young girl's hair with his free hand and smiled,"Of course Rosa~."he replied in a kind voice, eyes sparkling with amusement. No sooner had he said this that the sound of the knife clattering to the table brought his attention to Elayne only to see her staring at a young woman who seemed to be trying to leave unseen. Well now...this was certainly an unexpected turn of events...

When she said that it had been just a day for years, he smiled and shook his head a bit. "That's no fun especially when it's supposed to be a celebration day~" he answered back gently before watching Tai produce a balloon. Well... Tai certainly had good timing with such things, it seemed. Rosa was bouncing and grinning as she looked up at Tai and then Miguel before looking forward again as she watched Elayne move to cut the cake. Mmmmm cake. In another moment, the sound of Elayne suddenly the cake cutting caused Rosa to look confused. Felis had caught sight of Cora the moment that Elayne had shouted out, and for a brief moment, he blinked slowly. Was this... yes, he'd met her that one time before... and now itw as confirmed. This was who Elayne had called her sister wasn't it? Yes it was. "Oh welcome!" he called with a large smile. Though he hadn't been expecting it, it wasn't like Felis was one to turn others away. Cora was thinking she could get out of here with out being seen till she heard Elayne call out her name in shock and asked what was she doing here. Cora froze in place but did not turn around. Why did she have to be spotted!!! But know everyone knew she was here.. ._.; Thanks Elayne thanks.. Cora was now thinking of something to say, just to get out of here. Cora turned around with a fake smile and waved a little. When Felis said welcome, Cora gave a nervous laugh. " Umm, never mind me! I was just leaving. I hope you all have a wonderful day! Seems like you are so just ignore me and have a wonderful party!" Cora said trying not to sound nervous but was failing epically. If a sweat drop could be seen on the side of Cora's head there would be one.


After a minute of standing there feeling very awkward Cora then waved goodbye to everyone, still with that cheesy fake smile on her face. " Well goodbye, I hope you all have fun!" Cora said and started to walk away again. Man she hoped they would just ignore her and go on with the party. Large partys like that are not her thing anyway.

Tai listened to everyone and just stared. Who was that girl? No matter ^_^ He took a knife and began to cut the cake again. "Rosa, do you want chocolateo or not?" Tai asks with a smile. Tim felt awkward because he didn't know the person who just interrupted the party. ._. Tim simply waved when she did as he continued to stare. o.o

Making her way around the table, Elayne looked like she was about to go after Cora but then stopped, unsure of whether or not to go after her....they had found out rather recently that they were really twins but...perhaps Cora didn't want to be reminded of that right now."Cora...you don't have to leave...."Elayne said in a kind voice, looking at Cora as she started to walk away,"...you're more than welcome to stay you know..." Miguel watched as Cora left and frowned slightly, unsure of why the girl thought that she had to leave. Both Elayne and Felis had invited her to stay but the girl seemed intent upon leaving. Miguel would have gone after Cora himself, or at least requested that she stay if Elayne hadn't done just that only to stop and simply watch Cora start to leave. Unable to do anything to stop Cora from leaving, Miguel simply watched as the blonde-haired girl left.[/scrolly]

"Yep," she answered back rather easily though for some reason unable to really let her thoughts go away from that girl. She'd... she'd sen her before, right? Right! That was... what was her name... When Elayne called out Cora, Rosa suddenly snapped to that. That was it! That was the girl that had played with her a long time ago with the dolls and and and..... Felis, however, seemed to blink a few moments before suddenly running forwards and catching Cora's wrist in one hand before pulling her into a hug. "You don't have to go," he smiled a little. "........It's your birthday too isn't it?" he asked. Given that Elayne had told him and he had made the connection previously, Feliw as waiting to see if it would actually come full circle. If it did, heh well then he was lucky that he'd gotten and extra present or two to celebrate another birthday. [/scrolly]

Cora stopped walking when Elayne spoke again once more. Now Cora felt torn, she wanted to stay with her sister but no one knew they where twins.. So what was the point? This was her birthday party not hers.. They set this up for Elayne not her... It would feel wrong just to walk on in. Cora then shook her head and started to walk again. No, it would be wrong to invade Elayne's party. Even though Elayne said she could stay Cora would not feel right about it.. Just then she felt someone grab her wrist then pulled her into a hug. Cora's eyes went bug eyed when she saw it was Felis who had pulled her into a hug. She also blushed as red as a tomato.

At first Cora was to shocked to think, she could not get over the fact that Felis had hugged her!!! Her mind raced but she snapped out of it when Feils spoke some more, Cora looked up at him still blushing madly until she heard those words. "It's your birthday too isn't it?" Cora then got out of Felis's hug and pushed him away but not to hard. Cora then took a few steps back and looked right at Elayne, there was only one way he could have ever guessed that.. " Elayne.... Did... Did you tell him?? Why??" Cora asked with a angry hurt expression and her voiced matched it. She never thought Elayne would tell anyone.. Cora did not want anyone to know.. It seemed the word was out now... What was going to happen next?

Once Tai figured out that it was her birthday too, he came rushing over. He suddenly took one of the balloons he was holding and held it out. It also says Happy Birthday on it. "Everyone deserves a balloon on their birthday~" Tai says rather happily. Sure.. some people didn't like them.. and others hated them... but a few people would appreciate a gift, even if it was useless. Tim found himself suddenly saying "Happy Birthday!" to her with a smile. It appeared that Tai had forgotten to cut the cake, and left the knife sitting halfway in it where he had began to cut it. "Yes ... but ..."Elayne began in a quiet voice, looking down at the ground, staring at the grass rather than looking at Cora, her voice dropping to a near whisper,"I saw no reason to keep it a secret ... and ... I trust Felis ... why wouldn't I tell him?" Miguel looked between Cora and Elayne, wondering why Cora was upset after Felis had mentioned it was her birthday. Looking thoughtful, Miguel simply waited to see what would happen next.[/scrolly]

More than anything, his face looked a tad hurt. Rosa watched as Tai rushed over and then found herself looking at the cake and then back at what was happening before looking back at the cake again. She bet she could cut it... It couldn't be that hard now could it? As Cora turned to Elayne and questioned, Felis half frowned only to hear Elayne's response. Sighing a moment, he looked back over towards Cora. "Oh come now," he finally smiled slowly pulling out a white rose, kneeling with his free hand at his chest while the other arm was extended, and looking up at the girl with still a very easy smile. "There's no need to be angry on such a day." Suddenly a scream hit the air, and something deep within Felis's heart ripped. In another second, his head jerked sideways, and his eyes caught sight of Rosa now sitting on the ground clasping her hand and fighting back the tears that were already starting to flow on her cheeks. "Rosa!" was the only thing out of Felis's mouth, and in another second, he had took off towards the girl. Rosa cringed hard looking at her now slightly bloody hand and still fighting back tears of pain. She'd tried to cut the cake... Tai had made it look so easy, and everyone else was busy and and and and..... Whimpering, the young girl just sat there not saying a word. [/scrolly]

Well Cora herself trusted Felis, put up to a point. He may be a nice noble, but he was still not very high on her trust list. Also this was Elayne's birthday party.. Cora did not want to ruin this day for her. Cora's face softened and she gave a smile, but then Felis took to one knee and once again held put a white rose to her. Cora did not blush but she did blink. Then Tai came over with a balloon and handed it to her. At that moment all Cora could do was thank him and take the balloon. A few minutes later Cora heard Rosa's cry and looked right at the little girl. Cora took off after Felis did, when she was next to Rosa she knelt down and got a better look. The cut was not to deep thankfully but it was still bleeding. Cora then took off her large backpack opened it and started to dig through it. A second later Cora took out a small hand towel, " Mudkip, come on out." Cora said taking out the water Pokemon's pokeball out. Mudkip came out with a white flash. " Mudkip!" The little water Pokemon said in greeting. " Mudkip, please use a small water gun on this please." Cora asked. Mudkip nodded and did as she was asked. With that done Cora then rug the towel so it would not be to wet. Cora then looked at Rosa with a gentle smile. " Rosa? May I see your hand? I just wish to stop the bleeding so I can put a bandage on it." Cora said in a gentle manner. [/scrolly]

Tai already pulled out a pokeball and a band-aid. An Audino flew out and saw the blood, and instantly launched a Heal Pulse at Rosa. D=< She would attack whoever did that to her later. Tai then came over and held out a Chansey band-aid, trying to get it on the cut. DX How could he not pay attention! He was so ashamed now. and Tim didn't know what to do. [/scrolly]

Miguel felt his blood go cold at the sight and mentally kicked himself for letting such a thing happen to her. Rushing over to her side only to be beaten by both Cora and the butlers, Miguel watched as they tried to help her, his face etched with concern. Elayne heard the scream and whirled around to see Rosa on the ground with a bloody hand and gasped, covering her mouth with her hand in shock as she watched the others immediately rush to the girl's aide. Standing there, Elayne watched helplessly, not sure what to do ... it certainly seemed as if the others had it under control, at least for now.[/scrolly]

As Cora put the wet towel on her hand, Rosa flinched a little but managed to fight herself into calm. The sudden heal pulse after that caused her to stop and blink a little, yet when a teal eye caught sight of the Audino, Rosa found herself even more soothed. That... that was good .x. After a moment, the towel was removed, and she found a bandaid set on her hand. Indeed, Cora had been right in that it was something more long than deep and simply extending from the bottom of her index finger and half way across her palm. Sucking in some air trying to keep herself calm if anything, Rosa managed a smile. Felis, who was somehow surprised at everyone else's fast reactions, had slowly stepped back when it seemed that the situation was clearing itself rather quickly. It... it was actually rather nice to see others... He'd lived in the castle alone with Rosa for nearly a year and had become subject to rushing to her every whim, yet this never bothered him and had become second nature almost. However, with the people around now... It... was just rather different but at the same time rather nice. Looking back at Miguel and Elayne, Felis found a half smile coming t his face before he looked back again. By this time, Rosa had found the pain lessening, and after a blink which only seemed to brush away the water that had been at bay in her tear ducts, she found herself smiling again. "T-thanks....and...s-sorry..." she murmured after a moment. [/scrolly]

And when Rosa said she was sorry. Cora pulled the little girl into a hug, after a few minutes she let go and looked at Rosa. " Its ok Rosa, everyone makes mistakes. Its all part of life, Though if you need help its best to ask for help. Would you like some cake now?" Cora asked trying to get little Rosa to cheer up and move on. Cora then stood up and walked over to the cake, she picked up a new knife. " How big of a piece do you want Rosa?" Cora asked in a carefree tone. Cora then looked over at Elayne and smiled. Trying to show her she was no longer upset. Also to show she had desided to stay. Mudkip stood there with a smile, happy that Rosa was ok now. " Mudkip mud!" the little water pokemon said cheerfully. Mudkip then noticed all of the flowers, she had been here before. Mudkip then walked over to some flowers and started to enjoy how pretty they where. Mudkip then looked back at Cora and desided to pick one for her as a gift. It was Cora's birthday after all. " What kind of flower does Cora like again? Mudkip thought as she looked around at the flowers. [/scrolly]

Tai knelt down and looked at Rosa. "You don't have to be sorry... ^_^ I should have been watching and getting you that cake." Tai says with a grin. He got up and looked over at the cake, but found that Cora was already cutting it. T_T He was slacking off on his job again, wasn't he. Tim had found that everything was appearing okay, and was slowly making his way over to the mudkip. "Uh... what are you doing?" Tim asks rather slowly. Why was this mudkip in the flowers? He better not pick one without asking Felis! [/scrolly]

Smiling gently at her, he ruffled her hair a little,"It's all right princess, the important thing is you're all right now,"Miguel said in a kind voice before standing up and holding out a hand to Rosa to help her as well. Elayne smiled and breathed out softly when she saw that Rosa was going to be all right and looked at Cora, glad that she had decided to stay after all. Looking over at Felis, Elayne smiled,"Well, what should we do now?"[/scrolly]

At the question, green eyes sparkled as Rosa made a large motion with her hands. "Really big!" she answered back. Mmmmm~~<3 Looking towards Tai and Miguel, Rosa nodded a little. "I'm ok!" she reassured them as quickly as she could. She'd be ok! Right? Right! Meanwhile, Felis grinned to himself a bit. As Elayne asked the question, he looked sideways to her and offered a rather big smile. "We'll have cake and open some presents of course~ And then after that we can play a few games and what not, heh," he smiled lightly nodding his head as he spoke. [/scrolly]

Cora cut a large piece and set on a plate and handed it to Rosa. " There you go Rosa~ Enjoy." Cora said with a smile, Cora looked at the butler and saw he seemed disappointed about something... Oops has she done something that was his job? Heheh... Cora was not use to the idea of people doing the most simple things for you. Oh well, she just made a note to let the butler's do there job. Mudkip looked and sniffed the flowers and looked back at Cora then at the flowers again. She was so concentrated on her task when Tim came over the poor little water Pokemon jumped. " Mudkip!!" DX Was the startled cry. After a few minutes she calmed down and looked at Tim with a pleading look, She looked at Cora then back the flowers then back at Tim again. Trying to tell him she was looking for a flower for Cora. She even pointed at Cora, " Mudkip mud." she asked in a pleading manner. [/scrolly]

Then he let out a little smile and looked around at everyone else. It seemed to be nice now. Nobody was freaking out now, which let Tai actually relax... Who was he kidding, Tai still had to be jumping around. He watched Cora cut the cake with so much excitement as he thought about trying to take the knife from her or not. "Uh.. Miss... I can cut the cake for everyone. It's part of my job." Tai attempts to say rather calmly. Tim watched the mudkip as he tried to follow it's eyes. So it was trying to take a flower! D:< Tim couldn't let ANYONE mess with his... er... Felis' Garden! He didn't know exactly what to say, but he wanted to get the mudkip out of the flowers. The easiest way to do that was.. well.. picking it up. Grabbing it by it's sides, Tim picked up the mudkip and set it down outside of the flowers with quite a bit of determination. ._. He then awkwardly stared at it, hoping it wasn't angry. [/scrolly]
