[atrb=background,http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a190/lilDiablo_/alvaromid2.jpg] [scrolly:h(196),w(410),sy]A laugh of sorts escaped from Alvaro at the question that was posed to him not because of the slight knife to his general pride in cooking but due to the simple fact that he had no idea when they would reach another town. Looking out towards the direction they had been headed previously, Alvaro was silent a moment as his purple eyes scanned the area's general consistency. However, despite the height of the tree that they were sitting in, it didn't seem that there was anything else there for a good ten miles at least if not more so. In the end, it looked more like a sea of trees and foliage rather than anything else. Finally resolving to move up into the higher if somewhat more questionable branches, Alvaro stared out a bit higher. "I don't see anything for a good few miles or so..... so I'm not quite sure when we'll find another city,"

[/b] he answered back slowly moving back down the tree not to thrilled by the idea of having it snap and him going crashing to the ground. Irony certainly would have ripped the branch if she had had a chance to if anything, and it was then that Alvaro realized he did believe in something just far from most other beliefs and general systems: irony would always reign in the end of it. Chuckling to himself as he finally moved back down to a more stable branch, the green haired man put that thought aside for the moment and looked back at the dark haired man with a light smile on his face.

"I know the east only has a few cities for some reason or another... the north tends to have more given that they ship things, and the west as well given the same reasoning of bordering a large mass of water and split down the middle by a lake.... so if we circle around that way, we'll probably see more places as we go along......"[/b] Alvaro stopped a moment as a particular thought hit him, and his face fell a little uncharacteristically. "There's a ninja village place somewhere that Zen and I went to before appearing at the amphitheater...though I caught a Riolu there that had been at the butt end of his village so to speak. I ended up taking him with me and naming him Luin after a city of a far away place that I read about when I was younger... it's said to be the city blessed by water in that particular land... and apparently anything blessed by anything else is a good thing, heh," he chuckled a little to himself truly wondering if there was such a place out there. He'd... love to travel to it if he ever finished his trip through Era, heh.....

"But.... ya... I took a different path this time heading north, so I'm not sure where the ninja village is in correlation, but Evergreen City should be somewhere around or something,[/color] he stated. Somehow his particular wording had managed to catch Alvaro into wondering how exactly Zen was doing... He... he wasn't worried now was he? Well.... well... Alvaro was caught between trying to figure out whether or not he would rather lie to himself or accept the faults in his own 'don't worry about the past' philosophy. In the end, he was unable to choose either of them and simply fell silent after that. Damn this inconsistency was going to drive him up a wall... and somehow or another he blamed Kero for it, heh..... though he'd never admit that one out loud... or at least not yet.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] “I guess it will be another day or two then.” Kero announced as he made his way back around the trunk of tree to follow Alvaro back down. “At least there is a lots of shade. Not much room to set up a tent or anything though. If we don’t find a clearing can we sleep outside tonight?” He was starting to like the idea of sleeping outside. At times it was bit frightening but thrilling as well. Sometimes it was even more interesting than the daytime. Other times it was just too dark to see anything. Kero had a good feeling that this forest would prove to be really pretty at night. Though he also had feeling it would probably be dangerous. Kero began brushing off his hands on his clothes when he finally made it back down. That was, until he realized his clothes were dirty and began brushing them off with hands. Once he was somewhat satisfied he looked back up at Alvaro and grinned. “Maybe we can find a spring or lack or something in here.” He suggested, showing Alvaro his dirty hands, “I bet we smell too.” He chuckled a little. "I wouldn't mind sleeping under the stars," he laughed a little looking up at the sky for a moment. It wasn't even near dusk yet, heh. Continuing to climb down, Alvaro founs his footing again on the ground and sighed a little to himself. At Kero's words, Alvaro simply chuckled to himself. "Maybe," he answered back bringing his hands back and popping a few of his vertebrae back into place before slowly starting to walk again. "But knowing some luck.. now that you've mentioned it, we won't find it," he laughed a little looking back towards Kero. [/scrolly]

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] “Then under the stairs it is.” Kero announced, hitting a fist into an open hand in determination. It was more of an attempt to tell himself it wasn’t too scary to sleep without a tent especially if Alvaro was ok with it. “Although, do you think we’ll actually see stars?” His eyes looked up, looking at the blue that seeped through the branches of the trees. Maybe if they found a small opening in the trees they could. The stars would probably be really bright being so far away from any city or town. “Yah you’re probably right.” Kero laughed as he followed beside Alvaro, “At least if we smell it’ll keep any wild pokemon from wanting to eat us. I sure wouldn’t want to eat us.” He laughed a little at this before a sudden image of Alvaro and him being tied up on a stick beside a great big boiling caldron of water appeared in his head. The image just made him laugh harder before he asked, “Do you think there are any tribes or anything living out here?” He hadn’t read about any being spotted out here but one never knew for sure. If they were people eaters and they ate everyone who found them then… well, who be left to tell anyone about them? [/scrolly] [bg=brown]

"Maybe, but we haven't seen anything yet, heh," he answered back looking forwards again. "I wouldn't mind meeting a few people, heh." The idea that they could be eaten didn't seem to faze Alvaro at all for one reason or another. As if to answer some sort of question that had been asked, a tree branch snapped not far off and echoed out a cry for a good second or two causing Alvaro's eyes to dart over. However, when he turned his head, the green haired man saw nothing there. Hu? [/scrolly]

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] “I don’t think we would notice someone else out here even if they were walking a few feet away.” Kero laughed, jokingly, “The trees and brush here is so thick I’m surprised we can even move.” It seemed to only be getting thicker the deeper into the forest they walked as well. Not that Kero minded too much. It was so different from what he was use to in the desert and honestly he was loving it! It made him excited to see what else could be out there. [/scrolly] [bg=brown]

[Maid Melody]

Up ahead soft crying could be heard coming from an oddly colored Bonsly, unlike the usual brown and green coloring, this Bonsly was completely white with red eyes. Around the Bonsly was a small group of Pokemon, apparently trying to comfort the young Pokemon who looked rather battered, as if she had been in a fight recently and lost.

A Natu stood next to the Bonsly, appearing rather worried about his friend while a Ledian stood guard over the young Pokemon.

Nearby, a Leafeon sat in the trees, almost blending in to her surroundings as she watched the approaching men with a wary eye. She would alert the others soon enough but for now the humans didn't seem to have noticed them.

A Butterfree flew next to the Natu and Bonsly, apparently trying to cheer up the Bonsly by doing doing some tricks but wasn't having much luck.

As they continued to get closer, Alvaro stopped suddenly at the sound fo crying. Ugh... he really.... really disliked crying... and it wasn't just for the reason that it was a sad sound so much as the fact that....meh.... After a few seconds, Alvaro frowned and slowly stepped around another tree to see what it was. Upon seeing the Bonsly, Alvaro stopped and tuned his head to one side. Well... that coloring was certainly not something one would expect to see.... And it was at that moment that Alvaro found himself mentally wanting it for that reason only. However, it proved to be the one that was crying. "Kero... do you see that?" Alvaro practically whispered as he made a motion to the pokemon. [/scrolly]

[Lady Leaf]

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Kero heard the sound of crying too but he figured it was just an odd sound of one of the pokemon in the area. It wasn‘t until Alvaro asked if saw ‘that‘ that he walked up behind the other man to peek at what he saw. That’s when his face went rather pale. I see two bug pokemon” Kero replied, hiding behind Alvaro a little. He hated bug pokemon no matter how cute or harmless they looked. He knew they all had the same sort of attacks. Deadly creatures. “Oh, Hey! That looks like my Flareon.” He pointed towards the Leafeon before he realized how loudly he had spokemon the word ‘Hey’ and quickly covered his mouth with his hands. He really hadn’t meant to be so loud, it just, kind of slipped out. [/scrolly] [bg=brown]

[Maid Melody]

The Bonsly seemed to have quieted down a little, though she was still whimpering quietly. Looking at the Natu, she scooted as close to him as she could get...at least she had one friend...

The Natu put a comforting wing over the Bonsly and started to whistle a soft lullaby, knowing that it would calm her down.

The Ledian saw the men approaching and immediately stood in front of the men and the young pokemon, appearing defensive.
"HALT! Be you friend or foe?" the Ledian called out in english, eyes narrow as she studied the men.

The Butterfree saw that the Bonsly was calming down and relaxed, pleased that he had managed to help the young Bonsly (at least that's what he wanted to think). He was about to fly away to try and find more people to grace with his presence when he spotted the two men, more precisely, spotted Alvaro. For a moment the Butterfree just stared at the man, amazed that a human could be almost as beautiful as he. Flying over to the man, the Butterfree waved a greeting before all but staring at the gems on Alvaro's face...where had he gotten them and why didn't he, the amazing, great, and beautiful Butterfree have any? D8

The Leafeon leered at Kero, looking rather insulted that she should be compared to a Flareon of all things and jumped down from the tree, landing gracefully in front of the offender. Glaring at the man, she hissed,<"I am NO Flareon,">, the Leafeon said in a rather angry voice.

Shoot... shouldn't have pointed them out then... He was about to lead Kero off when the sudden order to halt hit him, and Alvaro froze. Looking at the Ledian, Alvaro slowly smiled. "Friend, I believe," he answered back rather easily turning his head to one side. Right after that, Alvaro noticed that the Buterfree had come over. Waving to the bug pokemon, Alvaro smiled a little not really noticing that the flying bug was staring at his face. [/scrolly]

[Lady Leaf]

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Kero’s face went even whiter as the Butterfree approached Alvaro. The sound of it’s fluttering wings was making him feel rather dizzy. It was enough that he finally set his head down on Alvaro’s back, trying his best to remind himself that not all bug pokemon were evil. Some could be nice. He just needed to calm himself down is all. That’s when he heard the sound of the Leafeon jumping down from the tree causing his eyes to shift over to it. It spat something out at him in anger but he wasn’t sure what she had said. So he slowly leaned down, letting go of the back of Alvaro’s shirt to get a better look at the grass type. “You are really pretty.” He commented giving a weak smile. Just knowing the bugs were still there was giving him shivers. [/scrolly] [bg=brown]

[Maid Melody]

The Bonsly fell asleep next to the Natu thanks to the soothing melody and eventually ceased sniffling, much to the Natu's relief.

The Ledian studied Alvaro for a moment, still appearing rather defensive of the two young ones before lowering her arms slightly.
"How do I know ye speak the truth. Ye could be the very same mongrels as before...seeking to harm the young ones again."she said in a suspicious voice before glancing at Kero,"Though I don't think they had quite as pale of a face as your companion. Truly he is as white as a sheet! Not that I have one to compare to...I do believe that is how the saying goes in human...am I correct? Though why ye would compare faces to sheets is beyond my understanding..."

The Leafeon raised herself to her full height at the compliment, proud that someone had actually noticed, nevermind if the human had mistaken her for a Flareon. Heh...as if she could even compare to one of them.

The Butterfree continued to gape at the jewels and the finally gave in and touched one of the gems on Alvaro's face. It was so pretty and well it would look better on him after all, this human certainly looked handsome with it but...oh who was he kidding, this man was the most beautiful human he'd seen but that didn't mean anything! Of course he, the amazing and beautiful Butterfree was still the most handsomest creature ever to grace these miserable humans with his presence but...he would be even more so with these gems. Gesturing to the gems, the Butterfree more or less ordered Alvaro....no....demanded where he got them so that he could look as handsome as Alvaro.

[/b] he answered back rather easily nodding his head as he stated it. "I see no reason to harm others, anyways, especially pokemon... no more likely is that I work on others," he answered back rather mater-of-fact-like. At the Butterfree's touch, Alvaro blinked and looked at the bug pokemon before reaching up and touching the gem on the side of his face. "Oh you want one?" he asked with a smile before suddenly setting down his bag and then starting to fish into it. Finally pulling out a small box, the green haired man flipped it open and held it out showing a variety of different sparkling gems. They weren't as nice as the one's on the side of the green haired man's face, but they were still rather nice at the end of it.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Kero’s smile grew a bit as the Leafeon propped herself up proudly. He wasn’t sure how but he had a tendency to find himself a large handful of rather proud pokemon. Goodness knew his Charizard was the worst of them all for his pride but he had a good feeling he shouldn’t mention that his Charizard around the Leafeon. She hadn’t reacted very well to the comment on the Flareon. “Wow, I was mistaken,” Kero commented getting ready to boost her ego a bit higher, “you’re not pretty, your beautiful.” comments like that seemed to work on his Swablu so it couldn’t hurt to try it on the Leafeon too. After his comment Kero turned his head to look check what the others were doing. The bugs were still around which was giving him a rather sickening feeling due to the fear swelling up inside but he didn’t run. They didn’t look like they were going to attack… at least… he hoped they weren’t going to. Alvaro seemed pretty calm so hopefully that meant everything was ok. He just wished Alvaro would make them go away. He didn’t have to be mean or… “Oh a Natu!” Kero commented suddenly seeing the beautiful flying type. It was only a small creature but he loved it all the same. Bird pokemon were just so lucky. So perfect. So free. Natu’s were normally extremely intelligent too. Ohh, he wanted to take it home with him. But… the bugs… ugh… They were in the way. [/scrolly] [bg=brown]

[Maid Melody]

The Ledian seemed to consider Alvaro's words before sighing and finally nodding,"It is true that ye do not appear to be the same miscreants that injured the young Bonsly....very well...I believe ye. Pray tell, ye said ye work on others? Wouldst thou perhaps be able to help the young Bonsly and Natu? She is rather shaken but Natu seems to have calmed her down enough that she is sleeping at the moment. The poor lass was playing with Natu when the fiends attacked for no reason, if my companions and myself hadn't come upon the young ones when we did the little ones might have been lost to us. It seems the Natu did his best to protect the lass but he is only a young lad himself and seems to have gotten the worst of the injuries."she said in a concerned voice, lowering her arms as she turned to look back at the young Pokemon once again, though still keeping a wary eye out for any danger should the 'fiends' return once more.

The Butterfree's eyes danced at the sight of the jewels and it seemed that he had trouble deciding exactly which one to choose. After a little while of all but gaping at the shiny jewels, the Butterfree finally picked up a few blue and purple ones and placed them on his forehead, alternating blue and purple. With the jewels in place the Butterfree now more or less appeared to have a crown on his head, which was only right considering he was good enough to be king now wasn't he. Not that he wanted to be king but, he wouldn't complain if anyone actually asked him to because he was just that great.

The Leafeon wasn't expecting Kero to compliment her and looked away from the man when he said that she was beautiful, blushing almost scarlet. Well...it didn't seem that he was that bad...even if Kero had compared her to a Flareon...it was just...a comparison of the different Eevee evolutions...that had to be it.

The Natu looked up at the Ledian from his spot next to the sleeping Bonsly and nearly jumped when he heard one of the men mention him. Not that he could have done anything about it at the moment anyway as weak as he was, it was all he could do to stay awake really...but the Natu wasn't about to leave the Bonsly for one moment, no matter how tired he might be.

Well, he was far from a Nurse Joy, but he did know quite a bit. "Well I could easily take a look-see," he answered back nodding his head a little before walking over towards the small pokemon and bending down. For a brief moment, purple eyes shifted back towards Kero and looked at the man before shifting forwards again and then at the Bonsly. "Mmmmm," he hummed to himself looking over the bruising and things. Moving back to his bag for a moment, Alvaro pulled out two potions and sprayed one on the small rock type before then looking over towards the Natu. "Your going to kind of want this," he stated making a motion to it and instead of directly applying, waiting to see the reaction. He didn't want to force anything and would be patient on such matters for now. [/scrolly]

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Kero frowned as he noticed that the Natu was hurt. He would have made his way over there to help the bird pokemon if weren’t for the bug types in the path. As it were, he was frozen in his spot. Just having Alvaro leave his side to get a closer look at the Natu and Bonsly made his fear grow that much more. What if one of them got closer? What if one of them decided to attack? He wasn’t sure if he could handle it. But perhaps he could take his mind off it a bit by helping in his spot. After all, he had many bird type pokemon of his own. He was pretty well versed with helping them. “See if he can lift her wings!” Kero called out Alvaro as the green haired man spoke to the Natu, “If he can’t you have to spray under them. And check the feet to make sure they are still warm. ” He let out a sigh after that and sat down in the grassy forest ground before looking back over at the Leafeon. “Are… you guys all friends?” He asked. [/scrolly] [bg=brown]

[Maid Melody]

The Ledian moved over to watch Alvaro as he helped the Bonsly and spoke to the Natu, watching closely in case there should be anything that the man needed help with.

The Butterfree let out a happy cry and flew around the area, showing off his new 'crown' to any and all who would pay attention, momentarily distracted from the injured Pokemon until he heard Kero ask if they were all friends and was once again reminded of the young Pokemon. Looking over at the two injured Pokemon, he was both surprised and interested to see the pretty man helping out the two young ones. Fluttering over to where Alvaro was he watched intently as the man applied the potions and helped out the Natu.

The Leafeon looked up at Kero when she was asked if they were all friends and nodded. She had known the Bonsly and Natu at least from when she was younger, the others...well they had really only just met but she would tolerate them as long as they were there to help out her friends. It seemed that the man was concerned for the Natu at least and...she really did feel bad that they had gotten separated and then this had happened but such was life. Some people...Pokemon even picked on the Bonsly because of her strange coloring, it seemed that had been exactly what had happened here but there wasn't much she could do right now to help them. Something which irritated her greatly as the Leafeon hated feeling helpless.

The Bonsly seemed to shudder in her sleep as the potion was applied but this only lasted a moment before the small Pokemon relaxed again.

The Natu looked up at Alvaro weakly and chirped quietly, more or less giving his assent to help...not that he could do much to protest anyway.

Carefully looking over the Natu before applying the needed medicine where he saw fit, the green haired man looked back at Kero and smiled. "I think everything will be fine now,"

[/b] he mused before looking back and finally noticing the Buterfree seemed rather pleased at the moment. "You can keep the gems if you want," he chuckled a little then reminding himself that he'd probably have to either go gem shopping or gem hunting soon enough if he kept giving his away-.... Which oddly brought up the thought about Zen. Alvaro found himself chewing at his lip debating why he was actually feeling such a feeling about a past event. It was like it just wouldn't leave him alone. After that, Alvaro fell silent and simply sighed a bit to himself.
