It brushed up against trees, grass, foliage, pokemon, and just about anything that was in the area. However, the temperatures were mild, and Alvaro Gean was at peace because of it. On his back was his simple backpack, and pretty much everything about him was as it normally was.
Today was going to be another day to see what there was and to go about finding something interesting to poke the day with. Looking back a moment, Alvaro chuckled to himself. "You coming?" he called off towards Kero not so much impatiently so much as with his normal carefree voice.
They'd headed east as the first part of their adventure had taken root, and Alvaro, having been around the area a bit, had decided on a different path from his others ending Kero and himself in the Runic Glade area. [/scrolly]

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] “I’m…” Kero started his reply, his voice slightly louder than normal as he pulled at his leg, “I’m stuck!” He had some how gotten his foot stuck between roots sticking out of the ground. Only a few seconds after he had called out that he was stuck, he gave one last, big tug causing his foot to finally break free. The force of his foot making it’s way out of the hole had caused him to stumble back a bit before he finally caught his balance and stood himself up right again. Now free, he quickly turned around with a huge, goofy and slightly embarrassed grin. Since they had left Kero’s home the young man had found out that traveling wasn’t nearly as easy as it sounded. He was pretty sure he would have given up or died somewhere if it weren’t for Alvaro being around to help out. Aside form his many mistakes, he was actually enjoying the trip immensely. He wasn’t sure if that was also because of Alvaro or not but it didn’t matter.
“There aren’t any really big bugs in here are there?” He asked once he caught up with Alvaro again, raising his shoulders slightly in an attempt to get the straps on his bag to sit properly on them. “I have a bit of… phobia around them. All there sharp fangs, and claws and things…” He let out a small chuckle realizing how silly that sounded. But he knew if he actually did see a bug he wouldn’t find it funny anymore. “I bet there are some really cool flying types in here though!” Now that did excite him. As most knew, he really, really loved flying types of all kind… unless it was a bug. Flygons were alright though. They kind of looked like giant bugs but they were in fact a dragon.

He had been about to reach forwards and seize the man when Kero had caught himself and managed to keep himself upright. Alvaro half laughed when he saw the look on Kero's face and shook his head a little. At the question on the bugs, Alvaro turned his head around and began to look around rather seriously. "I.... don't think so..." the green haired man answered back not really sure. There were plenty of trees in the area, so there could, in fact, be a bug or two, maybe. At Kero's words, Alvaro blinked a moment trying to remember if he had heard that already. He thought he had, but oh well....not like it really mattered. "We're in... part of the Runic Glade system... I think...." Alvaro grinned a little before making a motion to a tree farther off. The tree itself seemed to have writing all over it but wasn't nessisarily carved into. "Even without its name, it's a beautiful place!" the green haired man grinned to himself before suddenly taking off running and waving his way through the trees. [/scrolly]

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Well, the bug pokemon response was… not really comforting but… well good enough. It worked at least. The Runic Glade? “Oh! I’ve read about this place!” Kero suddenly remembered. He hadn’t realized until the name actually clicked in his head. “Don’t people claim this place is magical or something?” He had to agree though, it was really pretty here. The trees were so tall he couldn’t see the tops and there were flower and different plants everywhere. “I don’t know if it’s actually magical or not but I can defiantly tell why people would think so.” He rushed over to one of the larger flowers growing at the base of one of the large trees, “Just look how big it is.” He would have bent down to smell it but he knew better. It be his luck it would poisonous or something. Last he wanted was to end up getting sick on Alvaro. [/scrolly] [bg=brown] |

It was rather nice... rather beautiful to be so untouched by the rest of the world... However, in the back of Alvaro's mind, he sighed wondering just how long it would take before it was corrupted somehow by humans and their problems..... Shaking his head and deciding to enjoy it for the moment, Alvaro grinned a little more as Kero pointed out the flower. Wandering over rather slowly, Alvaro looked down at it for a second before then looking up at a tree not far from it. Raising a hand and bringing it up to the tree's bark, Alvaro slowly ran his fingers down the bark gently. It was... really smooth..... [/scrolly]

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Kero looked up at Alvaro as the man touched a tree not too far from the flower. For some unknown reason, most likely due to his love for heights and flying, a thought suddenly came to his mind. “I wonder how tall this tree is.” He blurted out, turning his face upwards as far as he could before looking back down at Alvaro. “I be you could see for miles if you got to the top. Want to climb it?” The idea of climbing it was both trilling and exciting to him. Plus if something went wrong he could always call upon one of his pokemon to catch them.
“We just need to…” He hadn’t even waited for Alvaro to agree to it as he began to move around the tree trying to find a spot he could start climbing at. There were lots of vines covering it but he wasn’t sure if they would be strong enough or if he would be talented enough to us them to climb up.

Looking sideways and watching Kero start to try and climb the tree, Alvaro laughed a little and slowly began to circle the tree as well. Finally finding a notch in the tree, Alvaro reached upwards and slowly wrapped his legs around the tree before slowly starting to inch his way up the tree. "I feel like a caterpillar," he laughed a little as he continued to try and inch himself up the divide in the tree. [/scrolly]

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] “Your hair could probably be mistaken as a Caterpie.” Kero joked in reply before reaching out to grab hold of the same knot Alvaro had used to start climbing. “Just don’t fall. I’m not good at catching people when my hands are holding onto something already.” Ok, so he didn’t know that for sure but he was pretty sure he’d be flattened if Alvaro fell on him. That he wasn’t sure how well he would do grabbing a pokeball if he had caught Alvaro with his body. “Maybe if we are lucky,” He paused for a moment, trying to find a good spot to set his hand told hold onto the tree, “we’ll find a really big bird up there.” What could say, he had the winged creatures on his mind all the time. "And what if we find a really big bird and he kicks us out of the tree?" the green haired man asked turning his head down a moment to watch where Kero was before continuing to climb upwards rather carefully. The branches seemed to be sturdy enough if a little wobbly here and there. Coming to the thinner parts, Alvaro frowned a little but decided to keep going just for the heck of it. However, for a moment, he stopped and looked out a moment. "Wow... the Glade really is pretty...." Alvaro stated to himself as he looked out at it. There was something in the air that made it almost... vibrate..... it was really beautiful, heh... [/scrolly]

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] If it… Well he would like to claim his precious bird pokemon wouldn’t do such a thing but then he knew that was a lie. His own pokemon would most likely push someone out of a tree. He could see all of them but Swablu doing it. Gastly by pure mistake. “Then we hope to Arceus that I’m a quick draw or Charizard sees us.” Kero laughed. It was a really good thing he wasn’t afraid of heights other wise Alvaro’s joke like question would have terrified him just about now.
When Alvaro stopped climbing for a moment and mumbled something about the Glade, Kero found himself turning his head and looking out at it too. Though the shades were dark, everything was so green, and parts of the junglish forest almost looked like it was glowing. It was hard to say if it was just the sun hitting the leaves or if it were some kind if flower or something but Kero really liked it. It was so different from anything he had seen in the desert. “Do you think there is some kind of an ancient pokemon who protects this forest?” Kero asked suddenly, his pale brown eyes still looking out at the Glade. He had read up about really strong legendary pokemon before though none of the ones listed seemed to have ever been spotted in Era before. However, it didn’t mean some couldn’t actually live in Era.

"It would be interesting if we could see if there was" he answered back neither denying it or confirming it. That was the habit, after all.He wouldn't say anything was for real until he saw it with his own eyes and gauged it for what it really was far as he was concerned. "Maybe a Celebi," Alvaro stated after a few seconds thinking about that. He'd been to Agate Village down in the Orre and heard the stories of the shrine that was there.... It's power had been even proven when a few people had used the Time Flute..... [/scrolly]

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] “It be more than interesting. It be awesome!” Kero replied sounding rather excited, “I read about a few of the legendary pokemon before. There is one that’s a giant red bird, it’s feathers are completely made of flames! Could you imagine such a creature? The power it would have? It would be so exciting just to get the chance to see it!” He remembered having dreams about the pokemon when he was younger. It was by far one of his favourite known legendary pokemon. That and Ho-oh. It made sense after all. He loved fire pokemon and he adored flying type. “If I ever venture out of Era the first thing I’m going to do is check out the shrines to three legendary bird pokemon.” He really didn’t think he would actually see one ever but it would be cool to at least see places where they had been spotted. It would make for an interesting story too. [/scrolly] [bg=brown] |

"I've seen a few... at least in a lab," he stated as he finally continued to climb the tree. "It was while I was down in the Orre, heh...." he sighed a bit at that particular thought. Cipher had collected legendary pokemon and shadowed them. However, a single boy took every one of them down. It was both amazing and mildly saddening. Were they really as amazing as the stories and book claim they are? Oh, what I’d give to see a Moltres.” He had known Alvaro was in Orre but he hadn’t expected to hear the young man had actually seen and perhaps worked with legendary pokemon. It kind of made him wonder exactly what kind of work Alvaro use to do when in the lab but then, that could be a question for another day. Today they were going to enjoy the fun of exploring this glade… Kero just couldn’t help but ask about the legendary pokemon though. For someone who wasn’t accustom to them it made they sound really interesting and fun. [/scrolly] [bg=brown] |

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] “Oh wow, you saw the legendary flying types! Now I’m truly envious of you. You have to tell me more about them. What were they doing?” Kero’s voice was more excited than a Seviper who beat a Zangoose. “It’s too bad you didn’t get to see the Moltres too. That would have been really something.” He seemed to go into an almost dreamy stat as he thought about it, stopping his climbing for a moment before finally shaking his head and returning back to reality.
He didn’t end up climbing much further when he finally caught up to Alvaro and slowly lifted himself up onto one of the tree’s branches. Using one hand to hold the trunk of the tree and the other to hold the branch, he sat there, legs dangling as he looked out over the glade. “I’ve heard people have tried cutting down these trees before.” Kero spoke his toughts aloud. It was off the pervious topic but it seemed his mind wasn’t really concentrating on just one thing. “Somehow they all gave up on cutting it down.”

If you knew what had happened... went through his mind, yet Alvaro shoved that thought away completely. The past was the past, and he didn't live in the past or the future as far as he saw it, heh. "It was.... a clash down in the Orre, really... people were doing things," he finally answered back shrugging his shoulders a little. It wasn't... that he was ashamed of himelf for having worked in a lab that had shadowed legendaries... nah... in the end it had crashed anyways with that kid, heh...
At Kero's words about the trees, Alvaro seemed to look out again and was quiet for a moment. "They're probably too thick," he answered back knowing that was not the case at all but still saying it seeing as it was the first thing that had officially come to mind. Well... whatever the reason, it was nice to see that people hadn't been able to touch it. "Or they were too busy making money off of easier trees at that logging camp I saw a while back," Alvaro frowned a little but then shook his head and smiled again slowly. [/scrolly]

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] People were doing… things? Well that didn’t explain much at all but Kero had a feeling Alvaro wasn’t really up to talk about it at that moment. Perhaps he could ask him more about his experiences some other time. After all, they would be seeing a lot of each other for the next many days. Hopefully. One should never forget that things could go wrong at any moment. Hopefully that moment just wouldn’t happen any day soon, if ever.
“Yah I could see that.” Kero replied as he continued to look out over the glade. It hadn’t been what the people had claimed in the books he had read on it but it defiantly made more sense than what they said. Besides, people had a habit of blowing things way out of peroration. For example, his Butler Alfread, the man had claimed there was a huge spill in the front lobby that in truth, was nothing more than a small puddle. He had made it sound like it had been the entire jug of water spilled rather than a half filled glass. “Probably don’t have the right equipment to clear out such a vast forest. With the little amount of trade between Era and the other regions I’m shocked they can make money at all. But I guess everyone needs wood.” Almost everything in his house was made of wood. The interior walls of his house, the tables, chairs, bed frame, floors and more. Those were all just the obvious things people used wood for.

Then again.... everything was subject to loss... Alvaro sighed a little keeping a calm smile on his face. "I mean... I know the forest itself is bound to change, but.... I hope that humans don't make it an urban dump," he sighed to himself. There was that word again, hope. Why was he hoping for anything Alvaro'd never know.... [scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Kero looked over at Alvaro as he stated that he wished people wouldn’t touch it. He hadn’t realized that Alvaro cared so much about a forest. It made sense though. A science guy who liked the world as it was. Then again, many scientist liked to destroy the world too. It really factored in what kind of studies they did not that Kero was ever much into science. Perhaps if he hadn’t of been born into the title of Count, he would have taken more interest in science.
“Yah, I guess if humans got to it, it’d look more like my home land.” Kero stated with a slight frown before looking back out at the forest, “Completely empty and dead. Not to mention the pollution some of the areas in the south has.” Someday he would have those cities cleaned up. Though that seemed like a distant dream. If people here in the east started taking down the forests, well, there wouldn’t be much Kero could do about it. Even his power didn’t reach that far. Though if he ever became king than perhaps he could protect the place. Heh, like that would ever happen. He was more likely to see a Moltres, but one could always dream. Honestly, Kero was surprised a new King or Queen hadn’t risen yet. Usually the next to take the throne would have been the oldest Duke and their family. That or who ever won the war against themselves. Yet no war had broken out between the nobles yet and the oldest of them all hadn’t stepped up to take the throne. But then, who was Kero to question such things? He was under them all.
“When do you think we’ll see another city or town?” Kero asked suddenly, looking over at Alvaro again, “I’m tired of my sandwiches and ahh… well no complaints about your food or anything but…” Kero started giggling to himself, unable to finish what he was going to say.
