[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance really had no idea what any of the pokemon below him were saying. He could tell a few of them were talking while the others attacked his tree but whether or not the talking was good or bad was unknown to him. What he did know was that he was Not letting go of the tree’s trunk even if his… the heck, his life Did depend on it! He was certain about that. Oh for the life of him, he loved how powerful his glorious grass types were yet at the same time he wished they were stupid so he could just… trick them in leaving or something. His brain felt like it was going to turn into much with the amount of banging around the tree was getting. Even Vipin had been forced to hold onto the branch with both hands now. Oh powers, how much he wished Vipin could use fire… he could call out his Houndoom… the pokemon was strong, heartless, and it wouldn’t react to fear or pain. It could get hurt pretty badly in a battle against five pokemon, possibly seven depending on who’s side the other two were on, but it could help long enough for him to escape. It was, after all, nothing more than a pokemon. But then… to get the pokemon he had to release a hand from the branch and with the damn Sawsnuck hitting it so much it…
Crack! That sound, it hadn’t been Lance, nor Vipin or any of the other pokemon. No, it had been the tree. Though it hadn’t fallen over, yet, Lance had a good feeling it wouldn’t be long before it did. He had no choice but to try for the pokeball, but as his hand went to reach for it, the tree shock violently again, causing Lance to yelp as he grabbed hold of the trunk. Just as he went to grab hold of the trunk again, Vipin finally stood up quickly, turning to grab/pry Lance off the tree before leaping into the air. He knew the tree wouldn’t stay standing for long if the deer continued to ramming it with their horn attacks, The best bet was to jump for it so they at least wouldn’t land in a spot where Lance would be surrounded. Of course it would require Lance to run for it… but hopefully that would be unneeded if the Nidoqueen successfully convinced the deer into ‘just talking’.
After leeping into the air, Lance in his arms, Vipin hit the ground a good three to five feet away. Though with Lance in his arms, the weight caused Vipin to fumble, and crash, dropping Lance along the way. Both human and pokemon ended up rolling a bit on the ground before stopping. Vipin, being use to being tossed around quickly jumped to his feet. Lance on the other hand let out a grumble before lifting up his upper body with his arms and glaring at Vipin, “You dolt!” He yelled at the Sceptile before remembering that the herd of Sawsbuck were right behind him. With his pupils narrowing in fear, Lance turned his head in fear that they might be charging right at him… [/scrolly] [bg=black] |

Though the youngest two still looked ready to fight even at the Nidoqueen's words, the leader at least seemed to hear them. <And who are you to talk, outsider> the third whose mate had been taken suddenly turned his head violently from the tree looking rather angrily back at the boy's pokeon. <Leader, how do we know he's not one with that thief! What if he's in cahoots with the man who stole my sister and my mate?!> he yelled. The leader remained quiet, yet the last continued to knock the tree.
However, just as it seemed that the leader was about to speak, the sound of forms hitting the ground caught the Sawbuck hrode's attention, and all at once, they were looking towards the Sceptile and the man again. <Bloody thief!> the third suddenly roared breaking past his brethren and charging straight at Lance. Forming a Horn Leech, he charged at Lance. However, the other four remained where they were for now at least. The leader finally looked back at the Nidoqueen. <Do not intervene, or we will be forced to act> he stated blankly.

The Nidoqueen slowly began to debate the odds of assisting the male in danger, and her chances at surviving an onslaught of tiny dear. The Beartic looked nervously at the Nidoqueen. Their options were becoming thin and few.
The two decided to wait it out. The Sceptile looked more than capable of defending his trainer. No, the two Pokemon would watch and wait, intervening when death could be a possibility.
Meanwhile, Wess inched closer and closer along the perimeter, wanting to watch everything going on.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance’s heart just about stopped as he watched the Deer race towards him. His only reaction was to duck and cower, which was exactly what he did. His arm’s instantly came up to cover his head, anticipating the unavoidable blow. Yet it never came. Instead, Lance felt a sharp pain in his right arm as something sliced through it but nothing more. His ears picked up the sound of Vipin’s voice just above him as the grass type let out a small, “Sceept.” Very slowly, Lance opened his eyes to find Vipin over top of him, using his body to block the Horn Leech attack from the Sawsbuck. Vipin’s back claws had mistakenly hit Lance’s arm when he raced over to block the attack.
At the very moment in his life, Lance Rossi felt… useless. Powerless even. It wasn’t his hands that his life was resting in anymore but Vipin’s. Something Lance knew none of his shadowed pokemon would do for him. Heck, he was shocked enough that Vipin was willing to take a beating to protect him. He had been certain that after all these years of fighting, Vipin only listened to him because he had no other choice. Though the Horn attack, plus the fall from the tree before had put a rather large strain on the Sceptile. Lance could see that clearly from where he cowered. He had never really noticed such a thing before and with a hint of determination in his voice, mixed with the fear Lance yelled out, “Vipin, X-Scissor!” With that, Vipin quickly swung his arms, the leafs attached to his body glowing in an attempt to hit the deer.

The leader's head turned from side to side, yet he ordered no sort of attack on the man. However, he did keep a rather careful eye on the Nidoqueen and Beartic assuming that he would have to protect himself and the younger Sawsbuck if either side chose to do something rash and a fight broke out. Meanwhile, the second in command so to speak was eying Wess now that he had actually caught sight of him, yet he did nothing but mentally question what a very young human child was doing here. The poor tree, meanwhile, finally cracked and fell backwards into another tree. However, instead of a domino effect ensuing, the tree that was being leaned on remained strong and caused a right triangle to be formed. Somewhere in the world, a calculus junkie just spazzed.
Meanwhile, the attacking Sawsbuck's eyes grew for a moment yet narrowed as he saw that his opponent would not be the man who had taken away his mate but the defending pokemon of the man. Fine, be it! As the X-Scissor was released, the Sawsbuck was hit and cringed. However, possibly due to a large amount of need for revenge, or as he saw it Justice, at the moment, he shook off the attack as if it were nothing. Forming a Jump Kick, the Sawsbuck attacked the Scepitle without much of a second thought. Any friend of the enemy was an enemy in his eyes!

Blair and Nicki looked at one another. This would never do. The two nodded towards one another, before Blair took to the assault.
First, a Hail began cascading down, thanks to the Beartic's efforts. After the hail ensued, the Nidoqueen encased herself in a Protect. And then, Blair unleashed with a blizzard, hoping to perhaps freeze a few in place to help the Sceptile being injured.
After all.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Well, Lance was no calculus junkie nor did he pay attention to the loud crackling sounds it made as it fell. However, the writer had to stop for a moment to laugh before continuing the story. The moment the X-Scissor attack hit the dear, Lance quickly shuffled to his feet and ran a few feet away from the battle before stopping. He had planned to just high tail it out of there but then… Vipin was the only reason he was able to stand in the first place. The other deer weren’t attacking… he could take on one Sawsbuck, right?
Vipin went tumbling back as the hooves of the deer hit him in the stomach, causing him to hit the ground. He almost didn’t look like he was going to stand up again until Lance spoke out once again in familiar words. “Vipin, get up!” Lance had yelled out his command, though… was there a hint of worry behind his words? “You are not week, now stand up and use DynamicPunch!” It was a powerful move but at the same time it could easily miss. But if it hit… It was a risk Lance was counting on, and so was Vipin. Quickly snapping to his feet, Vipin pulled his arm back and forwards again as a light ran through his arm, fist aiming for the Sawsbuck.

The two Sawsbuck that had been ready to challenge the Nidoqueen and the Beartic moved fast, and both of them quickly moved in front of the Blizzard blocking it from hitting their fighting comrade. Meanwhile, the second in command was outraged, and the leader was appalled. He was fighting one on one! This was his battle not someone else's to interfere with. <Boys are you alright?> the leader called to the two that had been struck by the Blizzard, yet both of them just nodded in turn. In another moment, the second had formed a Double Kick and made to hit at the Beartic. Meanwhile, the two younger Sawsbuck nodded their heads and mimicked the second using their own Double Kicks on the Beartic as well. The leader was now watching the fight between Vipin and the one seeking revenge.
Though it's powers would have been strong and devastating to the Sawsbuck, the accuracy of the move was simply too low, and the Sawbuck managed to avoid it. Forming a Mega Horn, he charged back at Vipin not willing to give up at all. Give them no quarter for taking his mate!

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] “Tile…?” The word of shock as the attack made nothing more but whooshing sound as it missed it’s target. That… was not a good sound which was proven by the attack the Sawsbuck made next. Vipin had been hit by the Mega Horn, taking a mass amount of damage as he fell to the ground once more. This time, however, he didn’t stay conscious long enough for Lance to demand him stand up again.
For a moment Lance just stood there is shock that Vipin had been defeated but soon forced himself to snap back. He had a good feeling the deer wasn’t going to take long to switch his target back to him. So, quickly Lance reached down to grab hold of Vipin’s… but it wasn’t there. The pokeball wasn’t in it’s… it must have been dropped when Lance fell from the tree. He couldn’t just run and leave Vipin there. The Pokemon, even though it was nothing more then a pokemon…. Lance still owed him. Right. He wasn’t going soft. Pffft. Hell no. He just didn’t like owing anyone anything be they man or beast. So then, he had no other choice but to fight back!
Without a moment’s more to think on it, (though one might claim he didn’t think at all), Lance rushed towards the Sawsbuck, aiming to body slam it. Hopefully… or grab it’s horns. Which ever came first. Lance was no pokemon and he hadn’t ever taken on a wild pokemon before but perhaps… no, he had a good feeling he was about to get his butt kicked, but there was still that slight chance a miracle could happen. Knowing his luck thus far… yah that miracle was slim to none.

The Beartic was only hit by one of the Sawsbuck. In turn, the Nidoqueen jumped protectively in front of her, taking the damage herself. Narrowed eyes looked at the grass types.
The rabbit thing then engaged the one she had taken damage from. Forming a Toxic, she launched it towards the Sawsbuck. If it hit, her plan would be set in motion.
Meanwhile, Beartic took a few deep breathes, trying to recover from the hooves impaling her thick hide. Charging an Ice Punch, she launched it towards the Sawsbuck who had attacked her.

The leader quickly shot up a Safeguard protecting both the second in command and the younger two. meanwhile, the Hail struck a few of them, and in another moment, the second used a Sunny Day causing the younger boys to suddenly seem to spur with energy. In another moment, they'd both formed Double Kicks and were once again at the Beartic. None of them were going to stand for being attacked when they had already expressed neutrality at that previous moment. Though Lance was neither a pokemon nor excessively heavy muscular wise, his version of a Body Slam shouldn't have done that much damage. However, the Sawsbuck had been caught off guard to say the least of it and was knocked backwards startled. Forced off his feet, the Sawsbuck quickly got up again shaking his head and looking violently at the man. Forming a Mega Horn, he charged at Lance.
However, before the Sawsbuck could make it, something rushed right in front of the man. Was that a... Gallade? Indeed, it was a Gallade who was now using his large weapon arms to take the damage from the attack. "Enough my brethren of the Glade! He is but human! You cannot attack him when he is by himself!" the Gallade spoke aloud in rather perfect (if somewhat British) English.
The Sawsbuck was caught off guard once again and found himself just staring at the Gallade. <He took my mate! He took her!> was all the Sawsbuck finally answered back with. However, the Gallade looked at him sharply and caused the Sawsbuck to fall silent again.
"It is one thing to battle a trainer's pokemon, but to attack a defenseless human is not something I will stand for," was all the Gallade answered back with causing the Sawsbuck to shake his head violently in distaste. He didn't understand! It was his mate! She was his! It wasn't fair that that man take her away from him! Forming another Mega Horn, the Sawsbuck charged, yet once again, the Gallade held up his blade arms and took the damage. "It is dishonorable to attack a defenseless being! the Gallade answered back.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance himself had been surprised by his own strength. Though for him, that was probably an ego boost he didn’t need. Either way, he was feeling rather proud of himself up until the Sawsbuck stood again and formed a Mega Horn. Only thought that ran through Lance’s mind at that moment was ‘this going to hurt” His arms had come up on hopes to block some of the blow but as a human he doubted he would fair very well. He found his eyes closing as he once again anticipated the blow but once again it did not come. Instead he heard a voice, but it wasn’t Vipin’s this time.
“A…. Gallade?” Lance spoke in pure shock as he listened to the pokemon words. It was… speaking English. No, it was speaking perfect English. He sort of reminded him of a knight of some sort with the way he spoke and moved. Yet he… he was a pokemon… No, it was best not to question these things at the moment. His safety had been placed into the hands of this pokemon now. A pokemon who was trying to reason with the other brainless fools. Heck, Lance wasn’t even sure why they were even attacking him. Well, he knew it was over beating up that other Sawsbuck, but damn, did they even remember why they were attacking him still? Pishh, probably not. It was probably just for the fun of attacking something now. But at the moment that wasn’t something he should be concerned about either. The pokemon was currently taking damage for him and it was hard to tell exactly how long that Sawsbuck would attack for. It needed to fight back as talking was clearly not working but… would it listen to him. It was so… so human like and… no it was still a pokemon. A noble one at that. It was worth a try at least.
“Try a Confusion.” Lance suggested, though sounding a bit unsure of himself. It wasn’t a powerful attack but it wasn’t power Lance was looking for in the attack. Like the last attack he had tried with Vipin, it was meant to confuse the deer. Hopefully enough to cause the pokemon to stop the battle, perhaps to even leave. But the chances of confusing the Sawsbuck with this attack was even less of a chance than before. At least it was harder to miss.

The Beartic was on her last legs. Four kicks had severely damaged her. This wasn't like hunting at all... Normally prey scattered and you chased down one.
A flash of red light cascaded over the little kid's Pokemon, calling them back into his balls. The young child ran straight past the Gallade, more interesting the the human's well-being.
"Mister, are you alright?" he asked, glaring the two Pokemon who had attacked his precious Beartic.
Little kid eyes bore into what seemed to be the deer's souls. He would have VENGEANCE!, but first, he had to make sure the bear was okay. A small flash of light, and the weakened polar bear was back out. He stepped defensively in front of her, patting the poor bear.
"Rest, Blair," he told her gently. The weakened bear obliged, and closed her eyes and replenished her health. She'd awaken a little bit later.

Meanwhile, as the pokemon were returned, the Sawsbuck horde seemed to relax. The leader of the group returned his attention to the battle between the newest being to come from the Glade and the Sawsbuck who wished for revenge if nothing else. The two younger Sawsbuck seemed to take a defensive posture, and both their eyes narrowed in unison.
<You two head home, Second, stay with them and make sure they get home> the leader stated. Both Sawsbuck looked confused, yet after a few grumbles, they both complied sadly and started off in a different direction. Meanwhile, the second in command simply bowed and followed after the younger two. They would allow the leader and the truly angry one to deal with this human now.
At the suggested attack, a single red eye slid back towards Lance before sliding forwards again. "I realize you mean well, sir, but allow me to speak this out, for if I faint him while he is blind with rage, he will not learn," was the answer given back. The Sawsbuck in question was pacing a little now extremely distraught.
<How can you protect that monster! He...he took her.... he took her from me!> the Sawsbuck shouted at the Gallade rather quickly before making to form an attack but stopping himself from doing so at least for now. Either by anticipation that it was not a real attack or by his general calm nature, the Gallade seemed unfazed.
"I understand he too your mate from you and sealed her in the sphere that bonds humans to pokemon, yet you must not let rage blind you from realizing that she is not dead," the Gallade stated causing the Sawsbuck to freeze. She... she wasn't dead... she... was just... in the sphere... He-he could still see her! The Sawsbuck seemed to slowly calm at this realization while the Gallade simply kept his calm visage.

Wess seemed to realize that the Gallade was talking, and his mouth gaped open for a few minutes. He'd seen others like it, but this one might be able to pass for a cosplayer or something.
"Yup! She's not dead~ She'll have lots of fun with this guy- You could probably go with him if yo-"
Wess' sleeping Beartic rolled over and grappled the little boy in her massive, furry arms. She gently brought him close to her, cuddling him like a teddy bear, much to the child's giggling.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance’s eyes shifted off the Gallade for a moment when the young boy spoke up. He had honestly not seen the boy up until that very moment and was rather shocked at first. Though it all made more sense to Lance at that moment. The pokemon who had been helping him before belonged to this boy. Did… the Gallade belong to him too? Though the Gallade had claimed he was a fellow glade pokemon… right? Humm.
“I could be better,” Lance finally replied before shifting his eyes back to the Gallade. As the pokemon turned down his suggestion to attack, Lance found himself a tad… annoyed. Enough so that he folded his arms across his chest and narrowed his eyes a bit as he watched and listened. Learn? Honestly, what could a deer learn from all this? Don’t attack humans? This was surely going to be a pointless talk.
Took his… mate? Not dead? Seriously? Lance could have just about face/palmed right their. Lance didn’t care what this was all about, he was not going to give the pokemon back after all the trouble he had just gone through. Ok… so the capture wasn’t the nicest way to treat a Pokemon… he raged on it, but it was nothing more than that, a Pokemon. It wasn’t like the thing would remember this place after a few days anyway. Nor did he believe this other Sawsbuck would remember her either. Though it was nice knowing it was female… kind of.
Lance was just about ready to announce that he wasn’t letting his new Sawsbuck go, (even though he didn’t actually know where the pokeball was at the moment anyway) when the boy spoke up again. He hadn’t finished speaking but it had caused an eyebrow to raise on Lance’s brow. “I battled her and bounded her a pokeball.” Lance claimed, using the Gallade’s word of ‘bounds’ rather than ‘capture’. “Nothing more.” Though he was trying to not sound it, he was irritated. His arm hurt, his back hurt, his head was beginning to pound… hell, his entire body was in pain, and worst of all he was surrounded by a bunch of crazed pokemon, actually attempting to communicate with them stupid creatures and there was a kid who looked younger than Rosa. Honestly, he wasn’t sure what else could go wrong in a night.

The Sawsbuck shook his head in a determined fashion for a few seconds before finally looking back at the Gallade again. <I...I know but....I.. I don't want her to go... I don't want to lose her or have her taken away and I just....> the large deer sighed and shook his head again before looking at the Gallade. <i....> The Sawsbuck sighed again.
Meanwhile, the Gallade remained calm as the Sawsbuck was calm. As the boy spoke up, a quiet 'heh' escaped from him. Human children... reminded him of his first human partner... However, there was no time to reflect on such things. "I understand you're afraid to lose her, yet if she really means that much to you why not follow her where she goes? Serve as her protector," the Gallade spoke.
<I.......> the Sawsbuck started but stopped after a moment and looked away. The leader, who was still standing not too far off, seemed to look at the Sawsbuck who looked back. Neither said anything. The Gallade simply sighed dryly. <I...> the Sawsbuck looked suddenly past the Gallade and looked straight at Lance. <I demand you let me come with you! I will protect her!> the Sawsbuck 'barked' at the man.
The Gallade softened a bit. "He wishes to come with you so as not to lose his mate," the Gallade interpreted.

Wess looked back and forth between the three people. Around this time, his Beartic woke up from her daze, and seemed to realize she was strangling her poor trainer. D:...
To Wess' dismay, she released him and began grooming his head with her freakishly long tongue, like a mother would do her cub. He simply sat there, watching, with a kind of look that stated, "Moooooooooom, you're embarrassing meeeeeeeeee,"

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance stood there, listening and watching as his arms remand across his chest still. Serve as a protector? Really… what was this… Had he stolen the thing’s mate or something? Could he just not find another one? It wasn’t like there weren’t other deer around. Though… having two Sawsbuck were better than one, right? Well he could suggest…
“Hu?” Lance dropped his arms in confusion. It seemed they have beaten him to the question. “Well, I see no harm in that, I suppose.” He replied finally. “But he best not try to run me down again!” Oh gawd, what if the deer was just destructive? It could end up trampling Felis’s gardens and then…. Though could Felis blame him for that…. Hummm…. He had a sudden feeling to laugh rather evilly, but that would be inappropriate at the current time, wouldn’t it? [/scrolly] [bg=black] |

The Gallade transferred this message but was rather sure that the Sawsbuck knew just from tone what was happening. Looking at the man rather than the Gallade now, the Sawsbuck sighed deeply and nodded his head. Fine, he would go with this man and follow his rules for now as long as he could stay by the side of the other Sawsbuck. Upon seeing the matter fully resolved by the Gallade, the leader of the Sawsbuck finally sighs and turned before starting to walk away. "Alright then, my work here is done," the Gallade spoke before starting to walk off slowly.
