Blazer took the Crunch attack, then out of instinct, retaliated with a Thunder Fang. Blazer had been sitting on go from the very beginning, and he was bent on taking his frustrations out on the Houndour.

Ty smirked as well; Blazer may have been a kid at heart, but the Arcanine always pulled through when the chips were down.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Letting out a cry of pain, the Houndour turned on the Arcanine and spit a Toxic liquid at it in an attempt to poison it. He then pulled away and began to plan a Nasty Plot, raising his Special Attack by two stages. Sen continued to watch unsure of how this was going to turn out. He knew his Houndour could be a nasty little creature but it looked like Ty’s Arcanine really wanted to win this. At lest Spit seemed to want to keep up with the Arcanine. Perhaps it was jealousy of the other fire types strength. [/scrolly] [bg=4f2a66]

[KARP KARP!]

Blazer threw up a Safeguard just in time to prevent the Toxic, then Snarled at the Houndour. It was nothing personal against the Dark type, Blazer just did what he had to do to protect Ty. And right now, Spit was a threat.

Ty stood by, eyes darting from Sen to the battle, Though the man had to admit, this was getting quite interesting. And Ty did love a good battle.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] After it finished plotting, the Houndour once again ran towards the Arcanine, disappearing for another Faint Attack. It was a bit upset that it’s toxic hadn’t worked but it wouldn’t give up just because of that. He would simply try again when the time was right. “Go Spit, go!” Sen decided to cheer in an attempt to keep the Houndour from going into one of its angry rages. Battling Ty was fine, but actually hurting Ty’s pokemon beyond the battle… no that was ok. He knew that already. If Spit stayed happy the battle stayed clean. [/scrolly] [bg=4f2a66]

Blazer again fell victim to the Faint Attack, and let out a cry that was a mix of pain and rage.

"Blazer, stay close. Don't give him any room to even breathe. Take the fight to him instead of waiting for him to come to you."

The large Arcanine gave a nod, then rushed in to close what little distance that was between them with an Extreme Speed.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] The hound our took the blow, letting out a yip as it feel to the ground and skidded across the mucky floor. It took him much longer to stand up this time than it had the last. When he finally stood again, he attempted to breath another toxic attack on the Arcanine. Sen’s smile still hadn’t wavered, nor did he seem upset, but from the looks of the way the battle was going so far he had a feeling Spit was running out of energy much faster than the Arcanine. Spit was giving it his all but it seemed the other pokemon was just too much for him as it was. [/scrolly] [bg=4f2a66]

The Arcanine was hit by the Toxic this time; and as a result became badly poisoned. Suddenly, Blazer took in energy, then released a massive Hyper Beam at the Houndour. No way some little[/i] pup[/i] was going to win. Blazer knew he had to be close.

Ty smirked; the man could tell his victory was at hand. And from the looks of it, the Arcanine still had a good bit left in the tank.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Spit grinned when the toxic attack hit. A grin that was soon whipped off his face when the pokemon was hit by the Hyper Beam attack, sending the Houndour flying across the ground, landing just in front of Sen. He didn’t move. Sen clicked the button on Spit’s pokeball, the ball growing in his hand as he prepared to recall his fallen pokemon. But before he could recall him Spit opened his eyes and slowly stood himself up. Then it happened. The dark, fire type pokemon was engulfed by a bright light, however, it wasn’t the light of Sen’s pokeball. It’s form then began to grow and change and finally the light began to fade away. In place of the Houndour now stood a somewhat injured but still able to battle, Houndoom. “Guess it’s not over.” Sen grinned, puttiing the pokeball away. The Houndoom grinned again, racing forward to attack the Arcanine with another, more power, Faint Attack. Meanwhile Sen was happily mumbling to himself that he had a Houndoom! <3 [/scrolly] [bg=4f2a66]

Spit had evolved; Blazer was unable to move and in the path of a more powerful Faint Attack.

Ty and Blazer spoke at exactly the same time, saying the exact same thing. If only it were in the same language...

"Ohshit...[/blur]"
<Ohshit...>

The Arcanine felt that one; and it knocked him to the ground. Standing to his feet, only more slowly this time; that one knocked the large fire-type through a loop. But the Arcanine was nowhere near down for the count.

In a flash, Blazer rushed at the Houndoom with another ExtremeSpeed.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] The Houndoom quickly put up a Protect as the Arcanine used the repeating move. He wasn’t going to be caught off guard by it this time. Once the attack was blocked, Spit decided to try a new tactic, Mimicking the Arcanine, he used an ExtreamSpeed, racing towards the other fire type. Sen, well, he was too busy admiring his new pokemon to even register what Ty may be thinking or how the battle could possibly turn out. [/scrolly] [bg=4f2a66]

Blazer lost a step or two when he hit the Protect. Seeing Spit tear a page from his playbook, however...that did not set well with the Arcanine.

Quickly, Blazer rushed at the fast-charging Houndoom with an Extreme-Speed of his own.

Ty didn't show it, but inside he may as well have been biting his nails. But nonetheless, this was in Ty's book, one hell of a battle.

Somehow he had managed to pass Blazer, stopping a few feet away and growling dangerously still. Sen blinked a couple times, wondering why the Houndoom wasn’t moving. He couldn’t see his fire types face but he had a feeling the pokemon wasn’t in good shape. Spit just stood there, froze for a good minute before finally collapsing to the ground. He couldn’t battle on. [/scrolly] [bg=4f2a66]

The Arcanine fell to the aftermath of the collision as well, only he didn't slide near as far. After Spit had fainted, Blazer stood to his feet, victorious.

Actually not quite. Blazer fell due to the effect of the poisoning. Ty returned his fallen ally.

"Well, that's it. Looks like I win."

Meanwhile, Adrian looked over from where she lay. <Oh, looks like they're done...>

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Sen returned Spit, and set the Pokeball back into his belt before looking up at Ty and letting out a small laugh, “It’s a tie.” He claimed, setting a hand on his hip, “Your pokemon fainted too. It looks like your stuck with me bothering you.” Not that… well… it wasn’t like he would deny Ty but he… had some new views now… on... someone else. Ray had been laying beside Adrian, cleaning just above her ear when she mentioned that the battle was done. Part of him was hoping that it would mean the two boys would kiss and make up so he could stay beside Adrian a bit longer. But the other part of him was sensing another fight arising. Ty sighed; he couldn't argue with that. His head dropped as his body tensed and quivered. "You just stay the fuck away from me, get it?" he hissed. "Just leave me the hell alone. At least Kel got that idea. Leave. Me. Alone. I'm tired of this; I'm tired of you..." When he looked up, it was the stare that could cut through one's soul, only...much more intense. Then, a smirk played across his lips, though his eyes stayed the same.

"Oh well, I can't say you completely ruined me. Like I said, I made things right with her."

He then started to leave. "Adrian, let's go." The Luxray didn't move, she just stayed next to Ray, enjoying the attention he was giving her.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] It just didn’t seem to matter how harsh Ty was towards Sen. The man didn’t feel the pain of the words like he should have. Perhaps if he could understand the feelings of pain and anger Ty was feeling he’d actually back down but as it was, Sen just chuckled at the words. “You’re cute when your mad” He cooed softly before Ty mentioned the girl from the bar. That made him chuckle as well. “My little Ty has gotten with girl.” He began to tease, still chuckling a bit, “He must feel so grown up now.” Sen should have felt jealous of this yet he didn’t. Really he thought it was kind of funny that Ty felt the need to gloat about it. The number of people Sen had been with, gloating was just not worth it anymore. Not unless he was in some sort of challenge with Kel. He never won those anyway. [/scrolly] [bg=4f2a66]

"You're an idiot. I said I made things right, not I slept with her. Frankly details are really none of your business, are they?" he asked. He wasn't trying to gloat. In face, Ty didn't know what the hell he was trying to do; he couldn't think straight for some reason.

"Just...Sen...answer me one question. We're split up, so why do you give me so much damn trouble? Everywhere I go I end up eventually running into you. I'm trying to feel better about myself but you always make it worse..." He paused, then continued, voice more sincere now.

"You know, the bet meant nothing to me. But the battle was...fun, honestly. See...I've been walking away from stealing since before we broke up. Of course I still have to while finding something to fall back on. Though I can't blame you for being this way, I guess. How can I understand you when I don't even understand myself?"

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] “When I make up with someone I sleep with.” Sen shrugged before looking back at Ty with a grin. Difference was, he was normally only making up with the person to sleep with them and it all happened in the span of one night. But those were just details. Sen honestly had no idea if he was suppose to actually be answering the question Ty had posed or not. Honestly, he wasn’t eve sure what the real question was. The babbling on that Ty was doing seemed to jumble up and sent Sen‘s mind onto thinking one thing. ‘I wonder if I really did like kissing Kel better…, By the time that thought ran through Sen’s mind the rest of Ty’s words went through one ear and out the other. When Ty’s talking finally came to an end Sen gave the younger man a huge smile and asked, “Can I kiss you?” Ray had gone back to cleaning behind Adrian’s ear, working his way to clean her face too. It was… well a cat like thing to do. Showed both affection and put his sent on her. He really didn’t understand why humans didn’t do it too. [/scrolly] [bg=4f2a66]

"...That's all you have to say? I pour my heart out to you, and that's all you have to say?!? You are worse than I thought you were. Don't you get it? I want to get past this...I'm sick of all the drama, all the fighting. I just want some peace and quiet. I wanna be able to sleep at night again. I wanna go somewhere without worrying how things will screw up for me, and all you want is a kiss?!?" Ty stopped, taking a deep breath, and rubbing his temples.

Adrian purred, leaning into Ray, loving this. Eyes closing, she forgot all about the trainers for that moment.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Hummm… was that a no to kiss? “You should try drinking tea” Sen suggested with a soft smile, “I heard it calms the nerves and helps you sleep at night.” Course he had never drank tea before or had nerves to calm to see if it were true or not but Ty had claimed he couldn’t sleep at night. “It could be more than a kiss if you want. I’m not picky. I promise you can’t screw up.” Yah Sen really didn’t get it. His mind was being one tracked right now and his sense of, ‘your suppose to be pretend to feel bad for the guy right now’ wasn’t working. That was the issue of not having the gilt feelings. Sen didn’t always realize when he was suppose to pretend to feel guilty. Perhaps if he was paying more attention to what Ty was saying… [/scrolly] [bg=4f2a66]
