It was just two words wasn't it? And wait... how did this kid know Kero was a noble? Alvaro had thought... that in a different area.... well.... Purple eyes shifted between Kero and Luca, yet Alvaro said nothing at that moment in time and was actually thinking over some internal questions that had come up in his mind. [/scrolly]

Luca let out a hmph sound again. "Listen to yourself. A Nobleman wouldn't care about a thank you for helping the dying. They'd just be glad to do it. And for that, you deserve no thanks from me.." Luca says rather quickly with anger in his voice. He was really feeling bad about being mean now DX He wanted to be strong.. but.. this was so hard DX He was about ready to just give up now.... He should just say it DX

He almost felt like breaking down into tears for one reason or another but he kept it held in. Lately it seemed every kid he ran into hated him. Where nobles really that badly disliked by the people of Era? Maybe just being a noble was keeping him from being able to successfully help the people he so wanted to aid. No, he couldn’t think like that. He had to keep trying for the future of Era. For the future of these kids who had lost hope. Yes, that was it. That was what was wrong. The kids had just lost hope in the nobles. He didn’t blame them after all. But that didn’t change things right now. This boy was being completely unfair. “So just because I’m a noble and Alvaro isn’t, I don’t deserve a thank you? I’m human just as much as he is! I have feelings!” [/scrolly] [bg=brown]

"Shut your mouth." he hissed before pulling his hand back and cracking his knuckles ever so slightly. "How dare you talk like just because someone is different they don't deserve a thank you or general respect. That's racism and I won't tolerate it." With that, Alvaro crossed his arms in front of himself and looked away refusing to allow more of this sudden irritation get to him. [/scrolly]

Luca listened to him and really started to feel bad about not saying it to him. He.. could just let it slide, right? He suddenly felt a pain cross his face and literally fell on the ground with wide eyes staring at Alvaro. He slowly felt the red spot as tears began to fall down and meet his face. "I...I'm sorry T_T My mother died and my father never met me and I was forced into rebels and.. and... I'm sorry I... didn't know a thank you meant that much.... They said not to be nice to nobles, and they're the only reason I'm not dead yet! I had to, you see. I would have starved..." Luca suddenly shouts rather quickly as the tears kept going. He... hadn't been hit by somebody for not minding manners before.

Kero had never seen Alvaro actually get angry like that before. He had heard the tone of voice before but usually just to get peoples attention before explaining why they had the ‘stern’’ voice used on them. It mildly made Kero wonder if Alvaro would make a good a father. Well, clearly not something he should be worrying about at the current moment. Though at the moment Kero was speechless. He had heard the apology and break down of the kid but he couldn’t quite form words himself yet. His eyes were still glued on Alvaro to see what he would say next. [/scrolly] [bg=brown]

"I honestly don't care what happened to you in your past," he stated setting his elbow on his knee and his head in his hand again. "Did you learn something just now or no?" he asked rather flatly. Luca stared at them as he sat there, shaking quite a bit. "Y-...y-yes..... I..... T-thank you. . . for the food." Luca says rather slowly, looking at Alvaro at the start, then at Kero when he said thank you. He then backed up and found himself hiding behind a tree. Alvaro was scary DX

It was then that kero turned to the boy, his expression blank for a moment until he thanked him. With the ‘for the food’ added, a smile raised to Kero’s face. It had been a bit of a rough road to get to such a simple thing but the progress had been made. “You’re welcome.” Kero added in reply with a small nod before looking back at Alvaro. Alvaro had to be one of the only people he could think of who actually stood up for him. It was new for Kero but it meant the world to him. Though this boy… he had been forced into being a rebel? To fight against the nobles? But by who? Did this mean that they were actually formed under someone or just by a certain group? He really wanted to know more about this but he didn’t want to pound the kid with questions just yet. [/scrolly] [bg=brown]

"Ah, I feel so much better now~" he chuckled to himself rather easily. However, he didn't seem to pick up on the rebels thing that Kero had and was instead too pleased with himself at the moment for whatever reason. [/scrolly]

Luca seemed to smile a bit himself at the Your Welcome... but he didn't say anything else and just stayed behind the tree. He found himself sitting back down and just hoping they would leave. They... already made him look like an idiot.. and he could feel a bruise coming to his cheek already. He always did bruise easily.... T_T

Something about that comment and the look on his face made Kero want kiss Alvaro at the very moment. But then… the boy was still there and well, it just didn’t seem like an appropriate time. Alvaro blinked as Kero asked a question and then looked towards Luca and then back towards Kero. Who would force anyone to do anything? Alvaro wasn't sure and continued to look between the two of them still not really understanding what was fully going on. Meh, he'd just stay quiet and wait to see how it went. [/scrolly]

Luca slowly looked at Kero. He looked pretty terrified of him now. Kero knew he was a rebel now.. T_T Now he would get in trouble..... "My... dad.... He never met me... and my mom was dying. She knew people there... and sent me so I wouldn't die!" Luca says rather slowly. He seemed to have been scared enough to just blurt it out and hope they were satisfied and would leave him be.

Being associated with Rebel’s wasn’t a crime but did make the boy useful for his own research. Maybe a deal could be made with the boy. After all, Kero didn’t think it was far to just use the boy for nothing. “I’ll tell you what,” He began as he stood himself up and smiled at Luca, “You give me as much information on these people you were sent to. Names, faces, where they might be found and things they have been doing and I’ll make sure you never go hungry again. Sound like a good deal?” Hopefully Alvaro wouldn’t mind hanging around while he interrogated the boy. [/scrolly] [bg=brown]

Luca's mouth dropped at the deal. He... just had to tell him a few of the people... and he could get a lot of food? He started to drool already as he thought about it and came out from behind the tree. "O-okay! I only know a few people there... B-but... how am I supposed to get the food?" Luca asks quietly. He didn't want to be tricked!

Hey, at least the boy wasn’t treating him like jerk anymore. Alvaro slap seemed to have smartened him up pretty well. Heck, he knew if Alvaro ever slapped him like that it would knock some sense into him. Or at least he hoped. “I can have Alfred send you some food weekly.” Kero replied with a nod, “You’ll just have to make sure you don’t eat it all in one sitting.” Which Kero was certain wasn’t possible anyway. If anything now, he was simply a third party acting as a mediator which... wasn't that hard at all though a tad boring, really. After a moment, his eyes flickered from Kero to Luca and then back to Kero again. [/scrolly]

Luca seemed to like this deal even more now. A BUTLER would send him food every week? Really? He looked so happy already from just talking about the deal. He then nodded rather quickly. "O-okay! I can tell you about Kayvan! He's the one I know the best!" Luca says rather quickly. He felt bad about ratting him out... but he needed food, and Kayvan didn't have anywhere as much as Kero did. "I even think I have a picture of him somewhere." Luca says with a smile.
