Nicki lay back against the rocks, her Eevees playing and Blaze looking for someone to fight. Thankfully no other Pokemon dared to come out with strangers out and about.
The sky was a dark gray, a storm most likely on the way. At the first sign of rain, she'd put her Pokemon away so they didn't get hurt and she'd probably just enjoy the rain.
A small cave wasn't the ideal home, but for the night, it'd provide shelter when she grew tired.

Shinji Ventus Shinji was walking out and around, and then he noticed a cave. He walked towards it, then noticed Nicki. He stared at her dreamily from a place where she wouldn't notice, and then decided to show his face. He walked down and sat by her and asked, "What'cha doin?" and then he looked at her, and a small feeling of hope flushed through his body. |

Nicki was just laying back, relaxing in the stormy weather, waiting for the rain. When she heard a rock tumble, she turned her head slightly to see a scrawny kid roughly the same age as her walking toward her. She grinned, looking back. It was the kid from the bar.
Her arms crossed behind her head, she let out a relaxed sigh. He came up and she kept her eyes close, a smile on her face. "Having a tea party, you?"

Shinji looked down at Nicki, with her eyes closed and a smile on her face. He replied to her, "Tea party? I don't see no tea party." Then sat down next to her. He then asked her, "SO what are you doing here on a night like this?"

Nicki laughed, "Sarcasm ain't your thing, kid." She stretched her arms, letting out a yawn. She found herself moving over slightly with the touch of his skin on hers. Paranoia and unease seeped into her veins and she needed to get away from him. But she shoved down the feeling, keeping put. He wasn't much older than her if he even was older than her. He wouldn't last long in a fight with her if it came down to it. "Enjoying the scenery," she replied quick, pulling her baseball cap down, a little more over her blue eyes. She found it, well stole it, at a store in the city not far from here. The black fabric with silver outlining creating a unique design of lightning effects all over the cap seemed enticing and she seized her opportunity.

Shinji looked down at her again, and noticed her pull her hat down to cover her eyes. "Well, the scenery is nice here, don't ya think?" He replied, then looked at the hat more closely. "Nice hat." He told her, hoping for some real conversation, not just cheesy one-liners.

The girl looked over at the boy, smiling at his weak attempts. He was trying too hard, giving it too much thought. "Yeah, scenery." She grinned at him, fixing her hat so it was up a little more. She couldn't see anything beyond his chest with her cap down. She doubted he could see anything of her face.
Looking back at the sky, she waited for any sign of rain, only to be answer by wind. She stifled a sigh and kept listening, her veins thrilled when thunder boomed in the distance. "We're in for a storm. You sure you wanna be out here?"

He heard the wind, then replied to her, "I would gladly be anywhere you were, even if the world was ending." He replied, then leaned down against the rock. He decided he'd get comfortable, as he was probably gonna stay here for the night. No use walking home in a storm.

Nicki smiled, shaking her head. She laid her head back on the rock, arms folded behind her neck. The kid was cute, but naive. A drop of rain landed upon her nose, sliding down her cheek. She ached for some sort of drink to ease the pounding in her head, but she was out of water and alcohol alike. She was hungry too, but that wasn't anything new. Thirst was.
She sighed, more and more rain falling down, a light sprinkle coming down upon the rocky earth she lay on. "You don't know what you're gettin' yourself into."

Shinji felt the rain, then grabbed a samll tarp from his bag and hung it up so it wouldn't rain on them. He then layed back down, and looked at Nicki. "I probably don't know what I'm getting into, but I don't care." He replied, speaking truthfully.

Nicki opened her eyes, sitting up. She looked directly at Shinji, meeting his eyes. He had guts, if nothing else he definitely had courage. But she wouldn't give in that easily, even if he was cute. Yeah, he definitely had no idea what he was getting himself into.
Her hand slipped onto the tarp, pulling the section that was held above her down. She loved the rain, the cool feeling, the water running over her skin. It was down pouring now, and she couldn't be happier. She put all her Pokemon back, feeling her heart skip a beat when she realized she'd forgotten about them. She had Shinji to thank for that. "Yeah. I know you don't."

Nicodemus felt her eyebrows rise, and her face felt like an oven on full blast. She laughed out loud, and she actually had to hold her side to stop the pain from splitting through her ribs. "You're just too good. God, where'd you get that one? You're momma?"
Wiping her cheeks, she rubbed her neck casually, looking at gray clouds. This kid was funny. Hilarious, comical. He seemed far younger than he looked. Like a lost puppy dog. Had he followed her all the way here? Would he really go to that sort of extremes? She didn't even know his name! Of course, she couldn't remember anything that had happened at the bar after four or five rounds.

Nicki jumped up, tearing her hand away, "Dude! You don't know me like that!" She felt her heart in her throat. Why did things always have to end in a fight? Couldn't she have a simple friend? That Ari kid seemed nice, but she failed to remember why she'd left. Was she drunk then too? Could she have done something terrible without even knowing?

Shinji looked surprized that she said he didn't even know her name. "Do you not remember the bar, Nicki?" He told her. Obviously she had forgotten everythin. "I'm sorry. You must've forgotten. I am Shinji, and I know you quite well. We must start over though, for you have no idea who I am."

Nicki felt her eyes widen. What did she do? "Umm......" She wasn't sure how to respond, how to react. She knew him? And... wait a second! Did he just call her Nicki? When did she tell anyone to call her Nicki? Shit! "Hi." The rainstorm happening around her poured upon the earth endlessly, each drop seeming like a cannonball hitting pure rock. It would've been heaven to her if she wasn't face with the giant headache Shinji was giving her.

Shinji saw her reaction, then said, "Shit. I fucked up. I'm so sorry Nicki." He told her, then rummaged in his bag and pulled out a bottle of Vodka. "I thought this might come in handy, you wanna drink? But I'm not getting you drunk this time." He said and laughed, sad hshe couldn't remember him.

Nicki grinned sheepishly, her heart pounding too fast to possibly try and crack a joke. No, he didn't fuck up. He was doing what any guy would do. She was the one who fucked up. All she wanted was to have a little fun for her birthday, get away from life for a little while. Of course, nothing ever went her way and things got a little haywire. She felt like banging her face on a rock.
When Shinji pulled out the bottle, she knew instantly what it was. Vodka. Beautiful, delicious vodka. Her heart longed for a sip, just a sip. Her throat was too dry, to scratchy, her head hurting to much. She needed something to help her out. "Um..." What if she lost it again? What would happen next? If she already knew this kid, who know what lengths he might go to. What she might want to do. "I don't know if I should be doin' that." She practically laughed again. Why do I have to be such a drunk?
