Instead, the blond haired man was simply excited that the appeals contest was up and going. Breathing in and then starting out onto the stage, the blond haired man grinned to himself and then began to speak into the microphone.
"Welcome to the Spring Festival's appeal contest!" he called out with a grin. "Thank you all for coming~! For each participant, you will receive one token just for showing us your pokemon so spectacularly.
"We'll have three honorable mentions who will receive their choice of a a Cherubi, a Wurmple, a Pichu, or a Nidoran of their choice in gender and ability along with three tokens!" stopping a moment to make a motion towards a booth set up far off to the side, Felis grinned a little before continuing again.
"Third place will receive ether a Cherrim, a Kricketune, a Pikachu, or a Gloom as well as five tokens~!
"Second place will receive either a Bayleef, a Beedrill, a Manetric, or a Toxicroak as well as ten tokens!
"First place will receive either a Meganium, a Pinsir, an Ampharos, or a Nidoking or Nidoqueen and fifteen tokens!"
Felis stopped and sucked in a bit of air before grinning and beginning again. "Now let's see some spectacular appeals!" the blonde haired man called out before finally starting off the stage and off towards his seat to watch. [/scrolly] |
[Guys keep it to about 5 moves please. We don't need any overly long drawn out sort of thing.]

In the crowd a man with black hair and icy blue eyes watched. He had entered this contest when it was first posted around the region. Though he may be ready, he surely wasn't going to be the one to go first. Instead he wanted to see what other pokemon people would enter in this contest. Besides he was debating on what pokemon to enter as well. He was leaning towards either his Persian or Layla his Luxio that had a graceful step to her prance. Heck even Rosebud might be a good choice. He had wanted to go with his all white pokemon, but she didn't count as a spring type pokemon, which didn't help his plan at all.

She had never even done an appeals contest and had only seen one or two on tv, but... but Felis was hosting it, and he said it was going to be fun right? Right? Right. Come on! She'd done the fashion show already! But @~@;; This was scarier than the pageant had been... She'd thought up a routine (with a bit of help from Felis here and there) and was about to see if Dash could pull it off in front of a huge crowd. Breathing inwards, she found herself clicking her heels for luck before finally running up the steps of the stage.
"Dash let's go!" Rosa's voice called out as she threw out the pokeball. The Treecko instantly formed from the pokeball. Ecstatic to see the crowd, Dash grinned, gave a cry of 'Treecooooo!', and then looked back towards Rosa with a rather confident smirk on his face. The young girl sucked in a breath of air trying to build up her confidence level as much as she possibly could at that point in time. "Start with Double Team!" Rosa called, the small green pokemon instantly formed a dozen or so clones all in a line. In another second, each one was jumping off in different directions finally forming a circle and facing inwards.
Rosa's eyes grew, and the young girl was growing more excited by the minute. This was so much fun! "Now use Bullet seed!" Rosa called. All at once, one Treecko jumped out from the group and upwards in an arch forming the Bullet Seed and shooting it at all his clones causing them to explode and vanish in an instant leaving nothing but a large amount of sparkles in the air. That worked! That had worked! Rosa was literally bouncing on her heels at that moment.
"Now use Leaf Storm!" Rosa called out. Dash grinned to himself before suddenly spinning in a circle and releasing the leaves. However, instead of staying in control, they rished about exploding every which way and nearly hitting the crowd. A few shouts rang in Rosa's ears, and before she realized it, Rosalba Rossi had been hit by several of the leaves as well. Falling straight on her but and cringing in pain, Rosa fidgeted and fought not to cry out in pain. "Dash!" Rosa called out. The Treecko, who had no longer been able to control the move was hit by his own attacks and cried out in pain slowly beating back the move and finally ending it. The suddenly very exhausted Treecko was struggling to stand, and a slightly awkward silence fell. Quickly shoving herself up as best she could, Rosa stepped forwards next to Dash and put a hand on his head. In another moment, both bowed and quickly made for the exit. >.< Oi... that had gone horribly ;-;.....Finally moving back stage, she breathed inwards and then out again shaking rather bad.... and not from her physical wounds either. Blinking as he watched the young girl step onto the stage and release her Treecko. The small grass pokemon seemed happy to be at the pokemon contest, and in no time the girl had ordered the move double team. The agility of the small pokemon was impressive, but he didn't see much in the bullet seed move. The next move leaf storm was a bit out of control, but for a first time at a show he didn't think the young girl did that bad. It was at this time that he noticed she wasn't the only young child here, he could see another with bright red hair and a tint of orange to it standing in the crowd. Smirking to himself he decided that he might as well go up. After Rosa left the stage he stepped up and let out his Luxio, Layla. The electric cat flicked her star shaped tail as she looked around. "Start us off with iron tail." He watched as her tail started to glow, and she quickly started to run circles around him. Her tail glowing a bright silver color as she waved it around to create after images of where it had been. "Combine it with swift!"
As ordered the Luxio shot out the star shaped attack high in the sky. A few of the stars came down first and when they were close enough she jumped into the sky and hit them with her iron tail. The combination of the two attacks cause the stars to burst, but as they did they let out a shining glitter of lights that fell now in a soft sparkling wall of mist. They were harmless to the crowd, and soon Layla did that to more of the stars, and then let out a second shot of her swift attack though she tried to put them higher into the sky this time. Thinking over what would be best he decided that it was time to show off her electric power. "Thunderbolt now." Electricity started to glow around the side of her face as she let out her powerful thunderbolt into the sky. It climbed higher and higher, struggling to reach an even greater height. Now the stars from the swift attack that were coming down were struck by the thunderbolt. That move was much different then the iron tail. Instead the stars exploded more like fireworks, and fell to the ground with a sizzling sound to them. After his three moves were done Benjamin stepped back as Layla jumped into his arms letting out a gleeful cry. Now wanting to stick around on the stage much he quickly made his way down, and walked back into the crowd.

Once Benjamin was off the stage, a woman stepped up. Taking a deep breath to focus herself, she threw forth a Pokeball. "Time for the show, Chiharu," she called out as the Illumise appeared on the stage. The firefly immediately turned to the audience, fluttering her wings and striking a pose. "Good, now set the scene with some Ominous Wind."
Spinning, Chiharu created a whirlwind, darkening the stage around herself and taking on a very serious, almost sad demeanor. Even after the attack was completed and the wind had died down a bit, the darkness persisted. "Make a Wish!" Quickly, the Illumise got into a praying pose, a small star-like orb appearing above her head and rising into the darkened air. Then she stood, raising both arms toward the sky and the star now hovering in the air above her.
"Work for what you believe in with some Acrobatics." Starting from her stretched-out position, the Illumise kicked off, throwing herself into a back flip. From that landing point, she fluttered into the air and cartwheeled, stopping in just the right position to reach toward the Wish-star wantingly. Falling, she flipped forward several times and landed on one knee with her arms stretched out to either side of her.
"Flash!" Chiharu's body did just that, rather suddenly. At the same time, the Wish finally came true, shattering and raining shining crystalline pieces down onto the now-bright area around the Illumise. She had her head raised now, smiling brightly as her wings fluttered excitedly. Ruka was proud with how it turned out, extremely glad nothing had gone wrong. She'd been worried and felt bad for the girl who had begun the contest.
The two bowed and the woman lifted her Pokemon. Hugging her as they walked off the stage, Ruka praised the firefly quietly. She was fairly confident that they'd done well but was just happy to know that the Illumise trusted her enough to do as she instructed. Even if they didn't win anything, she'd be happy.

Haii breathed inwards, closed both eyes, and then breathed outwards slowly again. He was more of a battler than a contestant and knew it too well for words. However, the prizes were a tad too good to miss out on. After a few seconds, he slowly walked up the stage.
.......damn it.
Of course he had stage fright. Lovely. The general calm demeanor of dark haired man was slowly cracking as he finally stood center stage. After a few seconds, he simply pulled out the pokeball and released Sanara, his Jolteon/Lucario hybrid and focused more on paying attention to her and giving commands in order to detour his mildly unnerved feelings. The large bipedal jackal/fox came from the pokeball and seemed to flip upwards before she landed. The yellow and off white fur and the general mix look over all shared both characteristics of Lucario and Jolteon.
Sanara's eyes darted around rather quickly looking for someone to battle. However, in another moment, she froze. People.... what.... but... but... all of them... and they were looking......Ah, like trainer like pokemon, it seemed. Haii caught this in an instant. "San pay attention," was the order, and in that moment, San nodded her head. "Start out with Calm Mind!" was the order. The Joltcaro closed her eyes and seemed to bring both of her paws together. Breathing inwards, San cooled.
"Now, Pin Missile followed directly by Psychic," Haii ordered quickly. The fur on San's body seemed to go on edge, and in another moment, she jumped upwards rather high before releasing the needles down below her. However, just before they hit the ground, the Joltcario's eyes glimmered with psychic energy freezing them in place.
"Raise," Haii stated aloud. Just as San started to descend from the jump, the needles, still controlled by the psychic energy, were raised up above her head. Landing on the stage again, San looked upwards.
"Thunder," Haii smirked. In another moment, the electricity seemed to spill out around San's form as she gathered it up and released it sending it exploding out towards the pins that were still in the air. The pins broke rather quickly, and the smaller of them seemed to explode into small lights. However, a few remained falling.
"Poison Jab the rest of them," Haii stated aloud trying to keep his voice monotone and calm. The Joltcario seemed to flip upwards and formed the Poison Jab and then quickly stabbed the remaining pieces with the fast stabbing attack causing them to break fully and release more small lights. With all of them broken, San landed again on her feet and stood fully. Haii breathed outwards before finally moving and bowing halfheartedly with San before exiting the stage.

Well...it was her turn now. Rosie took in a shaky breath. She'd spent a lot of time picking her participant and practicing the routine; there was no way Rosie was backing out now, win or lose. She was a stubborn Sol woman, through and through. Rosalyn was a spectre as she took the stage, dressed all in simple, black attire, her short hair framing her pale face and her sunken, grey eyes staring out at the crowd; she didn't really realize it, but a lot of the people in the audience were trying to figure out if she was a man or woman. Rosalyn would have been perfect for the pageant earlier, really, if not for the fact that she never would have considered entering. Even if she had realized it, it wouldn't change her mood in the slightest, or make it any harder to hold out her right hand in front of her in a soundless summon. Tendrils of darkness appeared above her palm, and her Spearow burst out of the Faint Attack with screech. Today, it was Tempest's day to shine. Rosie was only there because it was part of the rules. The small bird kept up the dark type attack, vanishing and reappearing in different places around her silent trainer, the smoke-like shadow clinging to her momentarily with each reappearance. Each time she appeared, she seemed a bit faster, adding a little more Agility with each movement in the physical realm. Rosie's right hand was still hovering where it had been, her eyes still looking right ahead, but her arm slowly returned her side as the other rose. She pointed straight up with her pointer finger, and that was where Tempest appeared next, her talons hovering barely an inch above Rosie's fingertip. The woman didn't even blink. Tempest started to fly in an upward spiral, teal-coloured draconic energy left in streaks in her wake, the eye of the forming Twister right above Rosie's hand. Rosie still didn't blink, though her dark hair was staring to flutter in the swirling winds. She dropped her left arm to her side the moment Tempest stopped. The Twister was only half-formed, fairly weak (and thus much more safe to all involved), but it was still a vibrant blue-green, and the Spearow dove straight into its center, her body whirling in a Drill Peck at the same speed as the energy. She remained inside the small tornado a moment before she dove out of its bottom and swooped, still spinning, down over Rosie's head before pulling up again. Tempest hovered in front of Rosie, facing the crowd, as her Twister dissipated. She seemed to sparkle in the lights, the product of a hastily-formed Protect, as she let out a victorious screech that was supposed to convey that the show was over. Rosie raised her right hand, exactly like before, and the small bird of prey swooped over to rest on her palm. Rosie turned, and left, walking calmly, until she was out of sight of audience. Then, she leaned against the wall and tried not to pass out in pure relief. Tempest chirped and fluttered her wings. That was fun. Rosalyn gave one of her awkward half-smiles in reply. Hopefully the crowd liked it, and weren't too creeped out; Rosalyn was hopeless at speaking loudly and faking a smile, so the stoic act had seemed like a good way of dealing with it.

Tai was in the back of the stage and had seen the other performances. He was there with Rosa, and even decided to enter himself. He saw that she hadn't done so well, so he decided to talk to her. "Rosa, don't worry about it that much... you did your best, and that's all that matters." Tai says to her with a grin. He then started to walk towards the stage, since he was up. He could do this...
He stepped onto the stage with a smile. He had his butler uniform on and grinned. He looked as though he didn't have a pokemon, as he just stood still, but then a slight click was heard. Suddenly his Audino came flying over his head with a call of "Audi!!!" She started to blow out some sweet kisses. The hearts were floating out towards the audience, when Tai called out another move. "Icebeam." Tai simply says with a smile.
An Icebeam came flying out from the Audino that hit the hearts. It froze them from the center out, and the ground below kept frozen to keep them up on a stand. Audino then began to hop over to the two hearts she had frozen. Tai stood there as Audino got ready. "Audino, if you would, please use Heal Pulse." Tai says calmly. Suddenly a ball of energy appeared in the Audino's hands. It was multiple colors, and started to expand. Suddenly it covered the stage in a light, and when it vanished, the hearts were still sparkling slightly.
Tai smiled. "Now, lets wrap this up! Psychic them to the stares, then use Thunderbolt!" Tai calls out extremely happily. Audino began to lift the frozen hearts up into the air, until they shimmered in the sky. He had to act fast before they melted. The lightning came flying up shortly after, and it exploded the hearts apart. They burst into sparkles and came showering down. Tai was standing in the middle of the sparkles and looked so happy. Audino hopped backwards while launching one last farewell kiss to them. Tai took a bow as the heart was launched off. "Thank you, very much." Tai says with a smile as he bowed. Audino did her own little bow, then they exited stage. The Audino was returned to her pokeball, and Tai sat next to Rosa happily. He hadn't messed up, even if it wasn't enough to actually win.

Elayne looked out at the audience from backstage, feeling as if a flock of Butterfree had decided to take up residence in her stomach. There was...a lot of people out there and...well...Elayne never had liked big crowds. Taking a deep breath, Elayne shook her head to clear the anxious thoughts from her mind and looked down at Lily. The Chikorita was staring at the crowd with excited eyes, not even the slightest hint of stage fright...of course Lily enjoyed attention, always had, it was what made her the perfect choice for the appeals contest. Seeing the look of excited determination on her Chikorita's face made Elayne realize she had to be brave for Lily, they had worked hard recently on move combinations...it would be a waste if Elayne backed out now just because she didn't like crowds.Bending down to Lily's level, Elayne smiled and held out the pokeball,"It's our turn next, do your best OK."she said in a quiet voice, smiling as Lily nodded before disappearing inside the pokeball.
Standing up, Elayne looked at the pokeball in her hand for a moment before taking another deep breath and walking out on stage...she could do this...all she had to do was believe in herself and her Pokemon. Smiling rather shyly at the crowd, Elayne threw Lily's pokeball up in the air and watched as the Chikorita appeared, doing a backflip in midair before landing on her feet in front of Elayne with an adorable Chii!, winking at the judges as she did so. Elayne smiled, almost laughing at Lily's appearance...typical Lily..."Spin and use Magical Leaf."
Lily didn't miss a beat and began to twirl, faster and faster while using Magical Leaf to create a whirlwind of dancing, glittering leaves that almost looked as if they were miniature ballerinas. Lily continued to create more of the glittering leaves while spinning before coming to a stop and hitting the base of the small whirlwind with one last Magical Leaf, making the entire column go into the air.
"Now Sweet Scent."Elayne stated quickly while the leaves were still spinning in the air by the force of the last Magical Leaf. Lily obeyed immediately with Sweet Scent, creating a gentle, sweet smelling breeze that blew the dancing leaves over the audience making the leaves sparkle all the more as they drifted.
"Razor Leaf then Grass Whistle."Elayne stated, pleased at how well they were doing so far. Lily complied, using Razor Leaf rather slowly, making each leaf spin individually, sending them over the crowd until they mixed with the Magical Leaf that was still floating along with the Sweet Scent. Now it seemed as if there were pairs of dancing leaves, sparkling above the crowd which was soon paired with a soothing melody as Lily began to use Grass Whistle.
"Now finish it up with one last Magical Leaf."Elayne said calmly. Lily stopped playing the melody and used Magical Leaf once more, aiming towards the dancing pairs of leaves which when struck created a dazzling display of sparkles that fell over the audience's heads. When the last of the leaves had disappeared in the sparkling display, Lily and Elayne bowed in unison before exiting the stage.
Once backstage, Elayne laughed and picked up Lily, spinning her around happily, much to the Chikorita's delight,"That was great Lily! We did it!" Elayne said in a cheerful voice, hugging the Chikorita, before noticing Rosa and Tai nearby and walking over to them,"Hi Rosa, Tai! You guys were great."Elayne said before looking back at the stage to watch the other participants.

Wess took an extremely deep breath, for his nervousness was about to make him explode. However, as he let out his Pokemon of choice, all worry seemed to vanish. Maggie the Magnezone seemed thrilled to have been chosen. But it was only natural, she was the most versatile Pokemon her trainer had. That, and she could include Wess in the show.
Crawling onto her back (head?), Wess carefully coils his arms and legs around her antennae, as the satellite Pokemon lifts herself using Magnet Rise. This would increase maneuverability as well as help her perform a pleasing entrance. In a quick beforehand entrance move, she released a flash to illuminate the stage. When it cleared Maggie was floating, and then started spinning in a rapid fashion, causing Wess to slam his eyes closed. The two had worked on this for the past few days, and he could manage it for at least fifteen minutes without loosing his lunch.
As they spun gracefully, they slowly got higher and higher thanks to magnet rise. Eventually, they caused the audience to look up, but not enough to where it would be a discomfort for the general population. That was when Maggie started releasing a fury of Electro Balls. Ten of them zoomed out suddenly, flying high over the audience. Still rotating, sonicbooms flashed out in a quick manner, destroying the balls and sending down a shower of extremely small sparkles above the audience.
Small amounts of thundershocks shot from her magnets, and as Maggie continuously rotated, her body absorbed them, causing her to shoot out even more sparkles.
In yet another movement of flash, the whole room this time lit up, none of them seeing a large and very spacious Tri-Beam above them. That was, until the light cleared moments later, where everything was clearly visible by the audience. However, as the triangle remained suspended, Wess was sent flying by Maggie, and easily managed to go through the tri-beam. He was pretty small after all- Five year olds weren't that hard to fit through things. A few moments later, Wess had made it through and was picking himself off the mattress. With a bow-like motion, Maggie illuminated the room once more with a flash, and after about a minute, it finally cleared, the Magnezone and little boy known as Wess were gone.
Finally backstage, Wess was still floating on his Magnezone. He looked enviously at the group of people for a few seconds, before floating off a ways away before he started polishing Maggie and telling her what a good job she did.

Teme smirked as she walked up onto the stage. She hadn't intended to originally participate in a Noble's party of sorts, yet the prizes themselves were just too good not to try and take a crack at.
Taking out a pokeball, the blonde haired woman released her shiny Manectric, Shiori. Practically exploding out of the pokeball she had been in, the somewhat large electric type instantly started out with a Howl. Teme resisted the urge to roll her eyes at her pokemon and actually get on with everything.
"Start out with Signal Beam," Teme ordered. Shiori threw her head up and shot out a Signal Beam into the air. "Magnet Rise and jump after it," Teme ordered. Shiori suddenly seemed to leap up vertically in the air chasing after the tails of the attack. Her strong back-legs that had been made more for running than springing still managed to somehow cause some vertical lift. Then releasing the Magnet Rise, she managed to give herself some more vertical lift as she chased after the bug move as both continued to climb higher.
"Wild Charge it," was the order when Shiori finally came in rage of the Signal Beam again, and with that, the Manectric filled herself with electricity and impacted with the beam was hard as she could causing a stream shower of lights to explode and fall downwards to the ground. Teme found herself smirking again.
"Keep yourself from falling," Teme called. Shiori flipped once and then twice before finally forcing herself to stop due to the Magnet Rise. Both woman and pokemon smirked in unison and then seemed to bow before slowly exiting off the stage.
Jayme Joy bit his bottom lip and seemed to take in a quick breath as he watched the previous contestant leave the stage. He'd come to the festival with Caden and had noticed that there was an appeals contest. Deciding he might as well go for it, the pink haired boy had entered. After a few seconds, he finally grinned to himself and looked upwards seeing Cherri on his head. She was in her non-sun form at the moment, but the pink haired boy was going to change that quick.
Ascending up onto the stage, Jayme finally appeared center stage. Cherri, who knew when to go, seemed to spring off her pink haired master's head and instantly issued out a Sunny Day causing her petals to open and her form to change just before she hit the ground. "Alright Cherri! Use Razor Leaf!" the pink haired boy called. With that, the Cherrim threw her arms up and released the cutting leaf attack into the air.
"Defense Curl then Rollout!" the pink haired boy continued. The Cherrm quickly formed herself into a ball and then began to roll quickly before finally heading upwards and hitting the lower leaves and causing them to explode. "SolarBeam!" Jayme called, and in another moment, Cheri broke from her spinning and then released a Solar Beam up into the higher leaves that she hadn't been able to hit causing them all to explode rather nicely.
Jayme was all but bouncing on his heels glad that that had actually worked. "Great job Cherri!" the nurse boy grinned before both bowed and exited the stage.

Caden smiled happily as he watched Jayme go on. Now it was his turn, and he was pretty confident that he could work something out with his pokemon to put on a good show. He stepped out and smiled. He had a pokeball that he held up and tapped the button on. A Whimsicott came flying out and did a flip before landing. Ace smiled and let out a Sunny Day that brightened the stage and left a tingly warmth. This activated Ace's ability and enabled him to move faster, which caused a smirk to appear on the pokemon's face.
Caden then called out "Hurricane!" and Ace started to create the smallest one he could manage to prevent what could ruin them completely. It was still taller, but it was under pretty nice control. "Energy Ball" he says with a smile. Ace instantly started charging up a ball that was launched towards the hurricane slowly. "Quickly, Psychic to keep it together!" Caden says. Ace quickly grabbed onto the ball with his mind, though he was starting to get worn out from it already.
Caden nodded. "Throw it back towards it and shoot at it with a Solar Beam." Caden says. Ace had the ball flying around the hurricane quickly before launching it up into the air. The ball was then being sucked in towards the devastating attack, but Ace quickly launched a Solar Beam at it. As soon as the ball was pulled into the Hurricane, the beam collided with it and sent sparkles everywhere. This caused them to fly around in the winds as they disappeared and the stage was silent. Ace was breathing heavily as it was a lot of effort, but Caden thought it paid off. He picked up Ace and did a tiny bow before turning and leaving. It wasn't the most artistic thing but... sparkles seemed to be the main thing right now ^_^ Besides.. who else would play with a hurricane on stage?

Nami was shredding her bottom lip as she made her way onto the stage. What if she messed up? What if everyone laughed? What if....what if well... well.... Breathing inwards, the brown haired woman managed to get a hold of herself before finally nodding her head. Ok, she could do this. Besides, it was Silva who was really carrying it out right? Right. Throwing up her pokeball, Nami watched as the Tropius came forth.
"Dragon Dance," Nami ordered as a cool confidence worked its way into her. With that, Silva began to twist her form this way and that making an elegant step routine despite her large size. It would increase her speed which was what Nami was most concerned with.
"Sweet Scent into Whirlwind!" Nami called. With that, Silva quickly beat her wings and released a rather lovely scent into the air. In another moment, she beat her wings faster and faster spinning about the Whirlwind power and causing the scent to scatter about the crowd.
"Now Silver Wind," Nami called. Silva flew upwards suddenly and then released the sparkling wind power into the air. "And Natural Gift!" Nami called. Suddenly using the Lum Berry that Nami had gotten from one of the random pick a number prize give away, Silva turned the berry into an attack and shot it down at the Silver Wind causing it to break as if by a flying type move.
After a moment, the Tropius landed and both human and pokemon bowed before exiting.

Ty wasn't there to participate in the contest. But he'd made a promise; usually lying wasn't much of a problem to him, though for some reason, he just couldn't bring himself to lie to Nami. So he was just a random face in the crowd, watching appeal after appeal, waiting for her. From the looks of it, it was going to be a tough competition. Finally, he saw her; and he couldn't help but smile as he watched the Tropius. Though he'd told himself he was just going because she was his friend, he found himself not only having fun, but hoping with everything in him that she'd win...

Seles mentally kicked herself wondering why in the world she had come to the spring festival when she should have been working... then again, it truly was nice to see that some things were coming back to life after the entire crash that had transpired. Leave it up to the Rossi family to come up with a way for people to relax again after such a hard time with the war and what not. Anyways, Seles was finding there was simply no reason to back down now seeing as she had already come.
Walking up onto the stage wearing something a tad different from her usual armor, Seles was followed by her Sceptile, Lady Aloenia, whom she had actually one at a luck of the number game already. Despite this weird way to attain a pokemon, Seles had found that her Sceptile seemed to share quite a bit of her own mind to begin with, and both got along rather well as a result.
"Begin," was Seles's only command. The Sceptile instantly seemed to begin to start glowing with white light until what appeared as a doll that looked surprisingly like herself appeared before her. Yes, indeed, it was a Substitute. However, instead of simply protecting herself, this was going to be used for something a bit more creative.
"Slash it" Seles called out. In another moment, Aloe seemed to rush straight at the doll and formed a Leaf Blade. "Up in the air," was the finishing statement. In another moment, Aloe slashed straight down at the doll and chopped upwards causing the arms to fly upwards as well. Slashing to the right, she cut the head, and slashing left, she cut the body before slashing finally up the middle and causing it to fly upwards with the arms.
"Don't forget to chase after those loose ends," she called as a smirk played onto her face. In another moment, Aloe breathed inwards and released a Bullet Seed at the flying bits of appendages and caused them to explode. The larger bits remained falling downwards. However, Seles gave no order this time. Instead, Aloe already knew what came next. Forming a Dragon Claw, the Sceptile jumped upwards and slashed at the rest of the form before flipping and landing.
Seles breathed outwards and then looked towards Aloe. Both bowed and then exited the stage.

She took in a deep breath and let out the cool minty air as she pulled the curtain aside to take a peek. The girl before her was doing an amazing act with her sceptile but Pan was certain she could do just as good. Pan wasn't one to be nervous and watching her competitors only made her feel stronger in this, "You ready Titan?" The Sawsbuck stood proud and tall as he antlers shook with pink petals. Spring time always made his antlers look gorgeous and it would work perfectly for the competition. He nodded know he shouldn't be to confident or else it could hurt his performance instead he just kept calm. Pandora watched as the girl took a bow before leaving stage which meant it was her turn to shine.
She wore her simple long white dress as she sat on the back of titan sideways. He walked gracefully on stage, stopped in the center, and then let her get off. "I will be singing a song for you tonight as my pokemon performs," Pandora announced hoping it was alright, for after all this was the story of her performance. She stepped to the side a little as Titan took a deep breath, he was ready and so was she. "The night was young and so was I, the spirit of spring flew right on by," as she sung such gentle words Titan used the move camouflage to blend into his surroundings. He wasn't completely see through as you could see him moving, and his outline. "He called the rains to nurse the earth, as the plants did praise to him," Titan shook his antlers and rose his head up as a small dark cloud formed above the stage using rain dance. Gentle rain drops fell upon his body and the stage, as he begone to gallop around. It was as though he really was the spirit of spring calling those sweet gentle rains of spring. Pandora thought of the act from a old story her mother used to tell her and the song that went with it. The rain stayed above the stage only as Titan fought to control it, for they didn't want anyone getting wet.
"I forgot of the spirit and his heart did sink, as though his meaning was gone in a blink," Titan's gentle gallop turned into a ragging stomp shaking the stage a little. "He called the thunders rumbling down," The sawsbuck threw his head up into the air and stomped one hoof down as he used thunderwave. The ground shook as the clouds let out small strikes of lightning. Now he was the furious spirit letting out his rage, for no one appreciated his work. Pandora's hair grew wet as splashes of water got to her and her white dress.
"As the land cried I begged him to stop, for the thunder slowly rolled away," just as she sung every word the thunder did slowly fade and Titan calmed down for his rage. "I love you dear spirit, and your gentle spring ways," Titan let out a cry as the rain dance faded with his thunder and the pokemon began to sway back and forth. His gorgeous pink flowers glowed as a gentle wind picked up. Bright green leaved surrounded everyone an so did the pink flowers. Titan used aroma therapy as his finishing move hopefully arousing the senses of the audience. It was the wonderful scent of that which you smelled after that first fresh rain of spring. The sawsbuck glowed a bright green letting his body move with the wind. Pandora walked over to him and stroked his neck as the aroma died down.
Titan looked at her and she looked at him both with a proud look in their face. "Thank you dear spirit of spring," Pandora spoke as she bowed with Titan to the crowd. She then got back up on his back and they walked gracefully off stage.

As distasteful as he felt about the Nobles in general, Xavier couldn't pass up an opportunity to create art with his Poke'mon; and possibly win prizes to boot! He may not like Nobles but they certainly knew how to grab someone's attention, Xav would give them that. As he waited for his turn on stage, he fiddled with Z's Poke''ball, grinning down at it. "You may be goofy, but you know a large variety of moves... it will be beautiful." He mumbled to the ball, perking when his name was called. Smiling, he briskly walked onto the stage, bowing at the audience before releasing Z. "Meet Z everybody~" He chimed.
Z burst forth from his ball with his legs spinning rapidly, his pupils in the shape of half circles. He noticed all of the people assembled and instantly became curious, floating by the nearest row of the audience, his pupils having turned into question marks. Xavier laughed at Z's antics before calling out an order. "You'd think he'd never seen people before, eh?" He joked. "Alright Z, Double Team!" Z's pupils shifted into exclamation points as he performed double team, so that there were six Porygons present; five copies and himself. They formed an even circle around Xavier.
Xavier nodded, gesturing to his right. "You three use Sunny Day!" He said, then gestured to his left. "And you three make it rain with Rain Dance!" All six of the Porygon's pupils shifted back into their happy half-circles as their legs spun once more. The sunny day made the Sun shine very bright, while the rain dance caused a small shower to occur on-stage. The raindrops acted as prisms for the bright light, causing a rainbow to arc over Xavier's head.
But he wasn't done. Xavier pointed at one of Z's copies. "Use Ice Beam to freeze the rain solid." He commanded, before pointing to another copy (or the real deal, it was hard to tell). "And you use Magnet Rise on it." The first Porygon shot a beam of ice directly up into the rain, causing it to solidify into a ball of ice, its weight so heavy that it began to descend from the air towards Xavier's head. The second Porygon circled the ice ball as it fell, electricity bouncing back and forth between him and the ice, until the air around the ice ball became charged enough for it to begin floating by itself in a Magnet Rise.
As the ball of ice floated and rotated under the shining light caused by Sunny Day, the rainbow reflected off of it, causing it to refract in every direction; almost like a disco ball! All six Porygons broke into dance under it, rotating their bodies and turning from transparency to normal coloration and back. Xavier laughed and bowed to the crowd. "Thank you everyone~" He sung before exiting the stage with Z, having reverted back to one Porygon. He rubbed the Porygon's head affectionately. "Good job Z~"
Yeah he was soaked. But that was alright.

A black-haired girl walked on to the stage, a black, striped Pikachu walking behind her. While she was normally dressed like a scruffy ruffian she was attempting to look at least a little fancy today, wearing a simple knee-length black dress with black high-heeled shoes. Her long black hair was combed and straightened, making her look rather elegant.
Once was was on the center of the stage she gave a quick spin, her blue eyes scanning the crowd. With a grin she exclaimed,"hey there everyone! My name is Raven Turner and this is Fera, we are going to rock you're socks off!"
With a hand-gesture to her Pikachu Raven called, "Fera, lets start this party off with a Thunderwave!"
At Raven's words Fera formed a Thunderwave, making a electric shimmering wave appear on center-stage. If you really took the time to look at it you would see that it was actually rather beautiful, the way little sections of light could be caught in it.
Next Raven called, "blast a Thunderbolt right in to the Thunderwave, a Light Screen, fallowed by a Thunderpunch of victory!"
The Thunderbolt came as an amazing flash of light, the kind you would see lighting up the sky, going right in to the shimmer made by the Thunderwave. The whole thing lit up in a brilliant glow with a beautiful, powerful center. For the Light Screen she projected it right in front of the Thunderbolt and wave, giving the whole thing a unique kaleidoscopic effect.
The Thunderpuch was simple but effective. Fera jumped up on to Raven's shoulder before doing a Thunderpuch the way one would do a victory punch, pumping her fist up in the air.
With a slight smirk Raven called, "Now, finish it up with a Double-Edge!"
Fera nodded her head quickly before lunging in to her creation with a Double-Edge. When this happened the whole thing exploded in a brilliant flash of light before leaving a ethereal glow around the Pikachu.
The whole thing was a short performance, lasting maybe a minute. However, as Raven walked off the stage with Fera on her shoulder she couldn't help but think that it was unforgettable.

A girl with long white hair walked on to the stage after Raven, a Eevee in her arms. She was dressed in a long white summer-dress with blue flowers on it, simple white sandals on her feet. A shimmering crystal necklace was attached to her neck, an attempt to draw attention away from her face. This was because a long, thing scar went down the left side of her face, a wound left from a car crash. This girl was Erianna Dare.
Once on center stage Erianna set down her Eevee, Seria, and took a step back. They had been practicing, she knew what to do. With a happy squeal Seria began her performance, starting with a Quick Attack. She weaved between invisible barriers as she ran across the stage, showing off her speed. As the Quick Attack came to an end she raced back to center speed before using a Sand-Attack.
Sand was spread over the stage, a light layer of earth. Upon doing this Seria used a Sunny Day. As sun shone down on the sand-covered stage it gave the appearance of a sunny day at the beach. She finished up the performance with a tackle attack, playfully lunging in to the sand with a happy squeal.
Seria rolled in the sand for a moment before Erianna walked over to the Eevee with a smile, picking her up and taking her off the stage.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] This was incredibly foolish of him. In fact it had to be by far one of the most idiotic things he had ever attempted to do throughout his miserable life. Part of him almost wanted to walk right out that door before anyone even realized he had been hiding in the back, with a pokeball in hand. Lance did not relish himself in such girlish delights yet… He was oddly enjoying himself. It confused him and he partly did not want admit it to himself but he couldn’t shove the gleeful excitement that swelling up inside him. He had originally talked himself into joining this little show to impress Felis. Not by showing off his pokemon but simply by joining one of his events. It wasn’t until the show had began that Lance realized just how much enjoyment as a child he had missed. If he had of had the chance he would have joined these festivities more often. It actually made him realize just how much he use to yearn to simply explore the world and join in on the many pleasures that normal human beings could… But he couldn’t. Not even now that he was free from his damned title. Part of that realization also made him realize that his appearance here may have been a mistake. After all, Felis was now stuck with title, stripping him from these tiny pleasures. Even with this realization and his knowing that it was foolish of him to even be there, he just couldn’t leave. Not now. He needed… a taste of what it was like. A taste of freedom.
The time had come. It was turn and for a slight moment he hesitated before making his way out onto the dimly lit stage. He was dressed in one of his finer suits, with silky royal blue clothe and white frilly trimmings around his neck and the cuff of his sleeves. It was contrasted with black buttons and boots which all went together rather well. As usual, his long golden hair had been tied back with a black ribbon, leaving the two strains in front. For the first time ever, Lance Rossi was feeling the effects of stage fright. He had felt his face drain of colour almost instantly as he stepped out, blue eyes trying to focus on anything but Felis. Once again there was a moment of hesitation before Lance finally cleared his throat and tossed the pokeball up into the air. With that usual flash of light, a human shaped, green figured appeared on top of the stage. His red eyes closed and head lowered causing a shadow to black out his face just as Lance had practiced with the Cacturne beforehand. Yes, that was right. Lance had actually worked with a pokemon, combining his passion with his organization to create what he believed was a magnificent show. He had even enjoyed himself. It was a rare occasion all on its own. There were just a few problems with his pokemon that Lance ran into every now and then when practicing. An issue he was hoping wouldn’t accrue today.
The lights on the stage slowly dimmed, leaving everything completely black. Slowly, starting from the middle of the stage, small lights began to raise from the floor. Within moments the entire stage was light up like tiny fireflies, revealing twisting and swirling vines spread out across the stage with the Ingrain move. The Cacturne moved, quickly and sharply as flung it’s arms out wide and spread its leg before freezing once more. The swift movements its self had caused the sparkling lights to flutter around him while casting shadows across the now rough terrain. He was a hunter in the great wide open. A creature as still as the night and as swift as wind. To be admired but feared. A moments pause before swinging his body into another pose, this one with one leg and fist forward in a punching pose. It’s movements once again sharp and quick before pausing for only long enough to cause a rather dramatic, threatening look. His body then quickly flipped up, leaving him on his hands as he paused again. The sequence in which he was moving soon proved that this was a unique way of showing off his Payback move. He moved himself into a few more positions, moving closer to the front of the stage as the shadows and dust twisted and turned with his every movement.
Then it began, the dance Lance had wanted used the same attack, however the grass type had a different style of showing it off. One that he knew Lance didn‘t approve of. It was the man’s own fault for forcing him into doing this show. He slowly lifted his head, eyes glowing with a magnificent white. Then five swords, two on either side of him and one behind him formed in the air creating the beginning of a sword dance. Each sword gave off that same brilliant light white as his eyes. His body began to move gracefully, yet sharply, wiggling as he opened the sword dance with toprock moves while combining it with popping and locking. It was followed by the moon walk before Boom! He brought himself down, slapping the ground as one of the swords jabbed into and vanished. Boom! Again, only he dropped to the ground, slapping the ground with his other hand behind his back. Another sword jabbed into the ground. Standing once more, his head bobbing mechanically before Boom! He flipped himself upside down and began to spin on his head, the swords spinning around as well. He got up again after a few spins by doing a back flip and continuing with the dance. If one hadn’t guessed it yet he had turned the Sword Dance into a form of break dancing! It had left Lance almost ready to face palm but he kept himself still and watched.
Still showing off some break dancing moves, the Cacturne’s fists began to spark with a Thunderpunch. Each thrust of his fists causing the electricity to grow and spark causing magnificent bursts of energy to fill the stage. His dance moves became more daring as he began drawing more freezes in positions that could great hurt if slipped up. At each quick pause the electricity on his hands would spark more before they suddenly vanished. His arms and legs spread out again and large sparkling white hoop surrounded the Cacturne. The hoop began to spin and twirl around him until he slammed his fist into the ground one last time, causing the glowing hoop to shatter for a moment before regrouping together and quickly shrinking into him. Once it wrapped around his body. The moment it hit his skin it exploded into manly little bits, causing a rainbow of colours to fill the entire stage. It was almost blinding it was so bright. That light slowly began to fade as the dust slowly floated to the ground, burning out much like an ember. It had been his Destiny bond attack. A perfect ending to what the Cacturne believed had been an awesome dance.
The stage returned to it’s original dimmed state and Lance slowly stepped forward, stopping beside his Cactume before also bending to give a low bow. Both straightening themselves, they turned to leave the stage. Lance was attempting his best to keep a smile on his face but it very forced. He was almost shacking with the stage fright that he didn’t want to admit having. Yet he had done it. He had pulled it off and that was all that counted. It had been… something he would never forget.
