Outside? That would be fun! She couldn't imagine what they were going to do but going out in the sunlight was always fun~ "Ok!" Rosa grinned before reaching and taking Muse's hand with her free hand. Felis chuckled to himself but smiled and nodded. Alright, he would follow as well. With that, Rosa led the way back out and through the backdoor of sorts out into the large back yard filled to the brim with different plants. The wall that surrounded Forest Castle was far off from where they were standing seeing as it extended farther out at the back. A pond of sorts was off to one side, and what appeared to be a Sandslash was digging into it and expanding it while a Milotic supervised. Looking around, Rosa finally made a directional point towards the trees. "How about there!" she grinned already starting to lead over towards it. Felis continued at the end simply watching and smiling to himself quietly. [/scrolly]

Muse smiled. "That's perfect." She squeezed the girl's hand while they walked. "Now, I want you to get comfortable. Look around. All I want you to do is concentrate on the world around you. What do you see, smell, hear? I want you to tell me, and write them down as you go along."

After she'd finished, Muse moved, releasing Rosa's hand and sitting on the ground, crossing her legs under her. "Begin when you're ready."

Sitting down, the young girl crossed her legs and slowly began to look around. Her eyes bounced off colors and different shapes and forms before she slowly began to speak. "I see the scars in the trees... the indention from the...bark...and the ... divisions in the leaves...." Rosa mused as she looked around slower now. "And the sky is... a soft blue... like ..." Rosa hesitated a moment as she tried to find the word. "Like a water pokemon..." she finally settled on. Not the most intelligent thing but still. Felis sat down and crossed his legs a bit a ways again. Closing his eyes, he began to listen to Rosa as she spoke and explained what she saw. I hear the wind... soft and gentle like a melody... and Rosa's voice...excited but focused... and the birds in the trees.... and a bit of the water moving.... Felis's mind wrote these things down slowly as he took them in. [/scrolly]

Muse smiled as she listened. "Very interesting wording. You're a very observant girl. Now I want you to write a few sentences, telling me what you see, hear, and smell. Write almost as if you're trying make whoever will read this feel like they're there." Muse looked over at Felis briefly, then back to Rosa.

"Take all the time you need. Relax, and take your time. My lessons are supposed to be fun, after all."

Actually noticing that Felis had closed his eyes, Rosa blinked a moment looking around again before closing her eyes and well and focusing in on the sounds around her. I... hear the pokemon in the pond over there... and the air... and.... Almost without realizing it, Rosa began to write out everything she could hear before opening her eyes again and looking around. Once again her eyes scanned the are slowly. starting a new paragraph on a different line, Rosa began to write down the descriptions of the trees as best he could. Tuning her head back, she stopped a moment and blinked at the water of the pond trying to describe it. However, it was also then that she started to smell the different fragrances in the air. Oh~ She'd write those down too! .x. Well.. if she could figure out how to describe them. Meanwhile, Felis continued to meditate or at least appeared to be doing so. [/scrolly]

Muse sat back against a tree, smiling as she watched Rosa work. "I knew this lesson would be a fun idea," Muse mused to herself. Her eyes began to close slightly, just relaxing peacefully. "You're doing very good, Rosa. You're a very bright girl."

Ohhh! Hey she could feel the grass under her too! That was something, right? Right! Meanwhile, Felis opened one eye and seemed to smile before standing up and finally sitting back down next to Muse. "You know," he hummed and whispered at the same time. "I'll be both sad and happy when she grows up." he sighed a bit and leaned back against one side of the tree. [/scrolly]

Muse was impressed greatly by the effort Rosa was putting into this. The woman saw it could go one of two ways, either she'd put effort in, or she'd barely even try. But it made Muse happy that Rosa was getting so involved in the assignment.

Muse gave Felis a grin. "She's going to grow up into a fine young lady. I can tell already I made a good choice in trying for this job." Whoa! Did Muse just admit that...?

Shifting a little, she could hear the grass crinkle under her and quickly wrote that down as well. Though her sentences were short, quick descriptions, and though her handwriting was simple printing, there was at least a good deal of effort. She could do this! It was fun! Meanwhile, Felis grinned a bit and nodded his head. "I'm glad as well," he mused a bit back at Muse. "I believe Rosa'll learn a good deal from you, heh." Ah yes, Felis was blissfully unaware of Muse's darker natures and didn't even think to consider them now that things seemed fine. He'd done background checks, he'd worked his books, and all his levels of trust hadn't been thwak'd so he was in a good mood. [/scrolly]

Muse nodded. "That's what I'm here for, Mr. Ro--Felis," she corrected, smiling. "But who knows? Maybe I'll end up learning a few things from you two."

Muse smiled softly, then leaned back against a tree, waiting for Rosa to finish her assignment. It was weird; something about this place just erased all of the negativity that surrounded her. At least for the time being. In all the hard times, the castle just seemed so peaceful and tranquil. It reminded the woman that there was still some good in the world; or maybe that point was just now becoming clear to her.

Yes, one could teach and learn at the same time. It made total sense in his mind at least. Finally, Rosa found her senses (and her hand) exhausted from the writing. Looking down at the last stretch of words she had written out onto the page, Rosa found that it had fallen into a bit of scribbles a good ways a way down, yet she hoped it was ok. "Finished!" she called before standing up and walking over to Muse with a grin. [/scrolly]

Muse took the paper, reading over it carefully. Actually, for a ten year old's work, this wasn't really that bad a paper. Pulling out a folder, Muse tucked the paper into it.

"Very nice, Rosa," Muse commented. "Now, can you tell me what you learned from this lesson?"

Her eyebrows furrowed, and her form tensed just a little before she finally relaxed again and grinned. "There's senses all around us! Even when we don't pay attention to them!" she answered back nodding her head at her answer. Felis found himself smiling unsure if that was what Muse had been looking for, yet it sounded as though Rosa was at least trying, heh. [/scrolly]

Muse smiled, giving a slight nod. "Good answer, Rosa. There are many little things that people don't pay attention to. And even moreso, it really adds to writing. All you wrote was what you saw, smelled, heard, and felt, and you filled up the page."

The woman gave a chuckle. "That was the lesson for today. Just wait til tomorrow, I'll have even more surprises!"

This had been cool, and Miss Hererra seemed nice enough. Maybe going back to schooling wouldn't be so bad! "Oh! What are we going to do?" she asked with a large grin on her face. Meanwhile, Felis chuckled lightly. It had been an interesting lesson of sorts and reminded him that Rosa's mind would grow with time. He'd hire a few more teachers maybe and do a bit of teaching himself...or at least try to, heh. He wasn't sure what he could teach but- ....As what actually came to mind after that did so, Felis fought off the urge to cringe. He... could teach her how to deal with papers and people and how to rule.... That would..be good....maybe....After a moment, a cool smile played onto Felis's face. [/scrolly]

Muse gave a sly grin at the little girl, tossing in a wink. "You'll see tomorrow. That's why it's called a surprise~" she replied, standing to her feet. Then, she turned her attention to Felis. "So, is there anything else you need me for today?" At the thought of going back home, her first thought was Please say yes...

Ok! She'd wait! meanwhile, as the question was posed, Felis half smiled. "Ah would you like to stay for lunch?" he mused lightly back. Rosa's green eyes lit up rather easily. Oh that would be fun! They'd been having quite a lot of people over for lunch and dinner lately, and it was much more fun that way! [/scrolly]

Muse didn't have to even think before answering the question. "I'd love to," she said quickly. Anything to keep her from going home right now. She hated it there; what with all the rules and the standards and everyone looking similar to her and her annoying siblings and and and....

The woman forced those annoying thoughts to the back of her mind as she looked at her new student and employer. "So what's for lunch?"

"I believe our chef is making some tomato soup, grilled cheese, and hm... probably some sort of side," Felis answered back with an easy smile before helping both of them up. Rosa found herself grinning as she stood up. MMmm~ She hoped the side was french fries! <.< >.>...... "Sounds good! Let's go!" Rosa grinned before turning and making a motion to follow before starting to jog a bit back towards the castle. For a small thing, she sure moved fast. [/scrolly]

Muse had to smile again; she loved grilled cheese. "You had me at grilled cheese," she replied. She started walking after Rosa, though nowhere near as fast--after all Muse wasn't much of a runner.

The green-haired woman looked at Felis as she walked. Odd...she felt more at home here than she did at her own house.
