What Schooling (Fish)

After a week of searching around, he finally got a recommendation for a teacher for Rosa. Those posting college degrees were getting rarer especially in education, yet Felis managed to find one. After having done some background checking and talking on the phone, he'd finally set it up to where said teacher would come and meet Rosa and learn a bit about the castle in the morning and actually start to teach Rosa in the afternoon. Though Rosa would probably have stood beside him in wait, Felis had insisted that he meet the teacher first before bringing her into the castle to meet Rosa. A possible mix of paranoia and such was the reason for this, and the end of it. [/scrolly]

Muse sighed as she approached the castle; she could not believe she was going for a teaching job. A teaching job, of all things. Just like Mommy and Daddy wanted. Blah.

However, her face had a serious expression as her green eyes met the castle. She had a semi-tight white dress shirt over a pair of black dress pants and matching tennis shoes.

Finally, she neared the castle, wanting to just get this over with. Noticing who had to be her new boss standing there, her face brightened a step. Oh Arceus....at least my boss is freaking hot...

Walking up to Felis, she held her hand out to him. "Hi. I'm Muse Herrera. You must be Mr. Rossi."

Taking said hand, Felis smiled lightly before releasing said hand and bowing a bit before pulling a white rose from somewhere within his sleeve and holding it forwards to her. "Please," he began. "Call me Feliciano or Felis." Mr. Rossi... would always sound like his father as far as Felis was concerned. [/scrolly]

Muse smiled, taking the rose. By now, her smile was genuine; maybe this job wouldn't be so bad, after all. "Thank you, Felis." Taking the rose, she pulled her long green hair up, and stuck the flower in it, styling it just right.

"Well, handsom and charming~" she said with a wink.

"Smart and beautiful," he answered before finally turning towards the castle and pushing the gate inwards before stepping inside a bit and holding the gate easily. "Please if you'll come this way~" the blond smiled. [/scrolly]

Muse gave a slight giggle, the fact that she was going to teach literature to a child was at the back of her mind now. "You're too sweet," she answered, following him.

Admittedly, Muse wasn't exactly looking at the castle as she followed him. Her eyes wandered, definitely. Maybe this job wouldn't be near as bad as she thought. Heh.

"So, what's the...child...like?" she asked, just out of curiosity.

A few of the grass types were out working in the gardens as per usual. Mole, the Sandslash, suddenly came up from under a flower before suddenly disappearing again under the ground as though he had never been there to begin with. Skai chased after Ruru as both floated/hopped in the air not too far off from the main stretch that led to the front. "My Rose is a sweet angel," the blond haired man mused back at Muse. "Ten years old and brimming with cuteness." [/scrolly]

Muse listened as she followed, still paying more attention to the man rather than what he was saying.

"Sounds nice; I can't wait to meet her." Okay, maybe she could, but still. This wasn't near as bad as she thought it would be. Then again, Muse had yet to actually tutor. In fact, the woman had yet to do anything besides drool over her new boss.

Felis's mind was off at the young girl, and he didn't even seem to notice the distracted tone and wording that was being used. He worried about how she would take schooling again, yet then again, it was for the best no matter what, really. It would allow Rosa to do whatever it was she wished for in life, which Felis wished to give at all costs now that he thought about it. It was only then that it hit Felis that was probably the reason Lance had suggested it... or rather, demanded it of him. Lance cared for Rosa just as much as Felis did, and though he hated to admit this, Felis was understanding it in full now. Shaking his head at his thoughts, Feli decided to leave those to a different time seeing as he was now walking up the short steps of the castle. Taking hold of the door, Felis gently pulled it open and held it out for Muse as he had done with the gate. "Welcome to Forest Castle," he hummed a bit. At the very back end of the room that the front door opened into, Rosa stood dressed in a lose white dress and long white stockings. Her hair was done up in pigtails as it normally was, yet for all her casual attire, she wore the look of unnerved fear on her face. She...she didn't want to go back to school! It was too fun to play all day and and and .x. [/scrolly]

Entering the castle, Muse figured it'd be a good time to pay attention to something that wasn't Felis. So, the green-haired woman looked around the room, her eyes landing on the little girl with the look of fair on her face.

Muse found herself smiling gently. "Very nice." Then, she looked at Rosa, and back at Felis. "You were right; she is adorable~"

Approaching Rosa, she held out her hand. "Rosa, yes? Ms. Herrera; I'll be your English Tutor~" Why, yes. Muse was actually being very sweet. Hopefully no one would rub her the wrong way so she'd stay like that.

The young girl slowly turned her head to one side before nodding and managing something of a smile. "Hello Miss Herrera," she smiled back a bit despite how unsure she was about actually starting class again. Felis seemed to smile greatly at this and then addressed Muse again. "Ah yes, we have a few rooms in the castle set up something like classrooms if you'd like to see them," he smiled a bit before giving Rosa a reassuring look. Rosa was coming out of her shell rather quickly and already smiling easily. [/scrolly]

Muse smiled at Rosa, then looked back at Felis. "I would like to see them, though I don't think we'll be using that setting all the time. See, I used to hate school. So I'm thinking maybe sometimes I tutor in the classroom, sometimes maybe the dining room, or outside." What the woman didn't mention was that this was mostly for Muse; she still hated classroom settings. And on top of that, she didn't think she would like teaching in one either. Actually, she didn't think she'd like teaching. Period. But, she needed money. After all, she didn't want to live with her family forever.

This... This could be fun! Grinning a bit more now, Rosa looked up at Muse and nodded her head at the woman. Felis, meanwhile, seemed to smile more as well. "Ah that will work perfectly then," the blond haired man mused. "We have a sun room that is rather nice area to relax, read, and such," Felis spoke nodding his head at his own words. "Let's show her there first!" Rosa called suddenly reaching for Muse's hand and then making a directional point down the hallway. She could show her all the plants and things in the sun room, which happened to be almost something of a fake green house with all windows on three walls and the ceiling made of solid glass. Muse jumped a little, finding a small hand in hers. Looking down at Rosa, she found a smile forming on her face, even more genuine now. All of her usual feelings of annoyance and dread had practically melted by now. She had pushed them back at first, sure. But something between Felis and Rosa made her...happy? Huh...

Muse gave a nod. "Sounds like a good idea. Lead the way~" This wasn't going to be so bad after all, from what she could gather. And she'd have an escape from her crappy home life besides her romance novels.

Felis, meanwhile, smiled a bit, chuckled to himself, and followed suit. "It's one of my favorite rooms in the whole castle," Rosa explained as she led the way turning down a different hallway before finally coming to a door. Reaching up and twisting the knob, Rosa opened the sight line up and steppede inwards. The room was probably not a relic of the past in any use of the term, and indeed it really wasn't. Whereas castles had once been made purely for defensive measures with no sort of natural lighting and such, Felis had opted to put in more relaxed rooms such as that (though with reinforced glass and the like) during the castle's restoration. Indeed, it was rather beautiful and held quite a bit of small plants in different corners of the room along with bookshelves and a wrting desk at one wall. Felis grinned as he too entered soon after the other two. [/scrolly]

Muse followed, practically dragged by the little girl. When she got to the room, it wasn't what she imagined; it was so...peaceful. So beautiful. In fact, it'd be perfect to teach in. "This would be perfect," she said, looking from Rosa to Felis. "This really is a beautiful room." The woman brushed her hair out of her face.

Meanwhile, Rosa grinned ear to ear and nodded her had. "We get to stay in here then?" she asked with an excited air coming about her small frame again. That would be so much more fun than learning in one of the other 'classroom' sort of things. It would feel so much more at home too! Felis grinned a little at Rosa's words. "It's up to your teacher, but I don't see why not," he answered back nodding his head. Rosa was once again bouncing on her heels and nodded her head excitedly. This was good! Very good! Maybe learning again wouldn't be so bad~ "Anyways," Felis hummed a moment about to start up a different tour when Rosa cut in rather quickly. "So what are we going to do today?" the young girl asked looking at Muse with a large grin. [/scrolly]

Muse looked at Rosa. "I don't think we will today, but I think you'll enjoy what I have planned for your Reading lesson. All I'm teaching you is about reading and writing, but I'm here to make it fun." Leaning down, she whispered, "I hated school; I hated classes. Because it was boring. But I'm....different."

Looking at Felis, she smiled, giving his figure another once-over. "You're welcome to sit in on the first day, if you want," she offered.

After a few seconds more, she managed to calm down again and nodded her head. This teacher was going to be funny, she could already tell. "It'll be fun then!" she grinned back. Felis, meanwhile, smiled and nodded at Muse. "I actually would like that, if you wouldn't mind," he beamed rather easily at Muse. His eyes moved to a chair in the corner of the room for a second before drifting back to Muse again. [/scrolly]

"Today, I'm going to do something my teacher had me do when I was in college. But, I think this will be fun for a child to do. To see how their mind works, so to speak." Reaching into her bag, Muse pulled out a pencil and a notebook, handing it to Rosa. "Now, Rosa, we're going to go outside for this one, okay? Felis, you can follow if you want to. I don't mind." Muse turned to leave, waiting for Rosa.

"What we're doing exactly is a surprise. But you get to pick where outside we go."
