The chill air greeted Xavier's soaked skin with a sting, a slight shiver wracking the man's frame as he huddled into himself, crossing his arms tightly. "Why do they even have the AC on..." He muttered, observing Carly dart about in search of a changing room of sorts. Dark eyes then glanced back to see if Haii had even come along, a slight smirk rising on his features when he spied the man. So he hadn't decided to run off... that was a good sign, right? Usually... hopefully...

Sighing, he popped a Poke'ball off his belt and fiddled with it, the device rattling under his touch. He grinned down at it; Wish was in this ball. Yet... "She has spunk, ya gotta admit." He mused, gesturing towards Carly. Before he could elaborate further, the Poke'ball finally broke open, light spilling forth to materialize a very happy albino Gyarados. Immediately Xavier was seized by the serpent and wrapped into a hug, the man laughing somewhat and patting the beast in reply. Yes, yes, I love you too, now lemme go." He insisted, Wish dropping him with a chuckle, before gazing around. The EEC! He gwared happily before spying Haii, grinning and making to hug him as well. Xavier couldn't help but face-palm, before looking to see where Carly went off to.

"Over there," was all he answered back with. Chewing the inside of his mouth to fight back a vocal complaint on the cold, he finally made something of a hissing sound. The heat was what he had been used to since childhood, and even after having moved north and been through the winter, he fount his hate of the cold still burning in himself. At Xavier's words on Carly, Haii just sighed. She somehow reminded Haii of what he had remembered of Saiyoko, yet he wasn't exactly sure why just yet. As Wish was released (as far as Haii could tell he had been), Haii watched the motions of pokemon vs. human and couldn't help but smirk ever so slightly. However, upon being hugged himself, Haii cringed a good deal and ended up with something of an exhausted looking leer by the end of it. Raising a hand to his temple, he rubbed it a moment before looking at Xavier. "M," was all he answered back with before pulling out another pokeball: once more his Eevee, yet he didn't release her just yet. [/scrolly]

Once entering the bathroom, Carly locked herself in a stall and practically tore her clothes off before putting on a pair of rather baggy looking jeans ... of course most everything looked baggy on her but oh well, she was cold and her skirts obviously weren't going to work at the moment. Grumbling a little to herself about having to put on the jeans in the first place, Carly chose a dry blue short-sleeved lacy blouse and pulled that on as well, perhaps she could get Rina to stay still long enough to dry out her other clothes but certainly not in the bathroom. Putting the wet clothes away in a separate pocket of her bag, Carly stepped out of the stall and did her best to fix the wet stringy mess that was her hair ... though without a blow dryer she really couldn't do much with it. Sighing, Carly pulled out the blue ribbons that had been tying her hair up before and combed the rest of her hair out deciding to just let it air dry for a little while at least. Of course this would make it all the more annoying considering it reached beyond her waist by now. Shouldering her backpack, Carly walked out of the stall just in time to see Wish hug Haiiro causing Carly's jaw to nearly drop at the sight when she saw the Gyarados ... an ALBINO Gyarados. Doing her best to remain calm, Carly walked over to the Gyarados and looked up at him ... only to nearly shriek with delight and hug him right then and there, "Oh my gosh he's ADORABLE!" I've never seen an albino Gyarados before, where did you find him!"Carly said in an excited voice as she continued to hug Wish, forgetting the reason why they were at the EEC to begin with for the moment.[/scrolly]

Xavier smirked and shrugged in response to Haii, casting his gaze up towards Wish thoughtfully. The Gyarados looked to be in good condition and eager for a spar or two... or perhaps a cuddle session... it was always hard to tell with the white snake; he was always in a good mood with a smile. Unless someone assaulted Xavier himself, the beast would remain docile, until directly ordered to attack by the red-head. He had a similar (if not greater) sense of loyalty that a Growlithe, and he prided himself on that.

As Carly returned, Wish turned to greet her when the small frame flung herself at him in a hug. Overcome with joy, Wish returned the gesture eagerly, blossoming a small beam of bubbles down towards her - his way of kissing, considering his maw was too large to actually kiss (without fear of being accidentally swallowed). He chortled and blushed somewhat at being called adorable, waving the fan of his tail in a dismissive 'nahhh' movement. "Gyaaa~" Xavier couldn't help but smile at his actions before blinking at the question, shaking his head somewhat.

"Believe it or not I fished this guy up as a Magikarp about... oh... seven years ago, I think?" He looked up to Wish for confirmation and the Gyarados nodded gingerly, muttering a quiet "Gyara.". "He was my very first Poke'mon to call my own... but yeah." He digressed, weaving another hand through his soaked hair. He didn't mind being wet, but being cold was bothersome. Ah well, he'd warm up eventually, right? "How are we doing this? Never exactly had a three way battle before."

"You two battle first, and the winner battles me," he answered back with something of a confident smirk. He wouldn't actually mind battling both of them at the same time either when it came to mind. Down in the Orre, he had battled couples that each used a pokemon in a double battle, but then again considering the situation.... [/scrolly]

Normally Carly wouldn't be very happy that her hair had gotten wet yet again but hey, it was already soaking wet and it wasn't like she could change anything about it right now anyway. Hearing Xavier's explanation, Carly smiled,"I wish I could say the same thing about one of my Pokemon, Minny was my mother's and Saito ... well, let's just say he found me,"she replied in a more quiet voice before Haiiro explained how they could battle. "Sounds like a plan so how do you want to do this. Oh, but first I think I have someone that'd like to meet Wish,"Carly said before pulling out Minny's pokeball and releasing the Milotic. Upon being released, Minny first looked around for Carly whom she realized was wrapped by a Gyarados and would've attacked right then and there if Carly hadn't told her that Wish was friendly. Relaxing, Minny smiled at Wish, suddenly feeling rather shy.[/scrolly]

Xavier nodded his agreement to the terms of battle. "That works. Your party should be rested by then." He stated, looking over to Carly. Yet before he could say anything to her, a Milotic was released, and Xavier found himself staring. He loved water-types, and although he owned a Milotic himself, he couldn't help but ogle. "Whats this pretty girl's name?" He crooned, hands settling on his hips.

Wish blinked and smiled over at Milly, approaching her with a few bubble kisses and a garble of Poke'speech. <Oh hello~ we're so alike but... but... you're so pretty~> He crooned, nodding happily. <Xavvy says I'm pretty too, but not nearly as much as you I'd bet! Oh! I'm Wish~> He snorted, turning his body to offer the fan of his tail like a handshake.

Stepping back, Haii leaned his back on a wall not that far away and simply seemed to be waiting to watch whatever happened. Upon seeing the Milotic, Haii blinked a moment, They were water serpent pokemon... and rather strong if he remembered right... Heh.....Closing his eyes, Haii made a quiet 'hmph' sound not really directing it at anyone or anything. Meanwhile, the pokeball in his hand was shaking just a little. The Eevee inside was wishing to come out and to know what exactly was happening. She was very aware that she was out of Haii's pocket but had no idea why just yet. [/scrolly]

"Her name is Minny~,"Carly giggled when Minny hugged her,"Sorry about earlier, Minny can be a little ... protective of me. I suppose Wish would be the same way huh?" Minny blushed when Xavier called her pretty only to turn even more red when Wish called her pretty as well and kissed her with the bubbles. After the Gyarados had finished speaking, Minny looked at Wish,<"I'm Minny ... and thank you ... ,">she crooned in her melodic voice before using her own tail to 'shake',<"You are very kind Wish ... I apologize for my actions earlier. Carly is very ... precious to me.">[/scrolly]

Wish snorted, causing a rogue bubble to pop out from his nose. <No harm, no foul! I understand completely... I watch over Xav all the time!> He stated, turning towards the red-head with a quirked brow. Xavier blinked up at him, before smirking. "Ya ready for a little battle Wish?" He asked. Wish answered by seizing Xavier up into his maw and soaring off to claim a field. "Oii, ya big buffoon!"

Wish plopped Xavier down with a chuckle, the man stumbling from the impact. He turned and leered up at the Gyarados, whom adopted a look of pure innocence, humming somewhat and looking upwards. Xav shook his head and nudged Wish, smiling. "I'll take that as a yes." He mused, turning to beckon Carly over. "Who ya starting with, eh?" He hollered at her, Wish moving forth onto the field with a push of his tail.

When she arrived there Carly was greeted by the sight of Xavier leering at Wish while the Gyarados attempted to appear angelic causing her to erupt into a fit of giggles. After a moment or two, Carly had calmed down enough to answer Xavier's question and pulled out a pokeball before releasing Rina who immediately started hovering around Wish's head. Face-palming, Carly giggled and shook her head,"Rina ... ,"she groaned before looking at Xavier and shrugging,"I choose Rina ... whenever she stops horsing around enough to actually listen to me that is ... . So how do you want to do this? Three on three or a full team?"[/scrolly]

Xavier considered the floating, mischievous Castform for a moment before pondering Carly's question, tapping a finger to his chin thoughtfully. "Lets do a triple battle, shall we? Thats always interesting... haven't done one in a while..." He shifted his wight, gathering two other Poke'balls. "Only three Poke'mon though, so the winner has Poke'mon left over to challenge sir stares-a-lot." He jabbed a thumb towards Haii with a dry grin, throwing his other two Poke'balls forward.

On either side of Wish materialized two Poke'mon; to his left, his golden Arbok Lady, whom took one look around and hissed irritatedly, coiling her body up and offering Xavier a rather disgruntled look. To Wish's right, a much smaller Poke'mon, the weakest of Xavier's currently buffed party; a Chikorita, named Ri. She looked around with wide eyes before grinning hugely, waving her leaf over at Carly and Rina cheerfully. "Chiiiii!"

As Xavier released the other two Pokemon he would be using, Carly watched and tried to decide which of her current team would be best. She already had Minny ... and Carly had a feeling that she would want to save Saito for the other battle with Haiiro, if she won of course. Giggling at the Chikorita's cheerful greeting, Carly curtsied in reply to both her and the indignant looking Arbok. "You certainly have a variety Xavier. Well, you already met Minny and Rina ... of course, now for my third ... ,"Carly began before tossing a pokeball up into the air and releasing a Zubat who promptly landed on her shoulder,"This is Nyx, I met her at the fair a little while ago. It'll be my first battle with her~." Motioning for Nyx to join Minny, Nyx cuddled with Carly briefly before taking off and hovering next to Minny. Minny nodded courteously to the Arbok and smiled at the Chikorita's greeting as she got into position on the field and waited to see what would happen next. Carly stiffled a groan upon seeing Rina still so distracted and sighed,Rina! Come on, we're going to battle!"she called out to the troublesome Castform hoping that Rina would listen to her. Of course with that one it was hard to tell whether she paid attention or not. Rina though, upon being called perked up at the word 'battle' and returned to Carly's side, much to Carly's own surprise though she hid this rather well. Looking over at Xavier, Carly smiled,"Looks like we're ready~, so who's going to start?"she asked as Rina got into position on the field.[/scrolly]

"Stare you into the ground," he muttered before falling silent again. However, his thoughts then shifted. The idea of a triple battle had left him a little intrigued. He had heard of them, yet for all of his battling, he had never participated in one. Well, he could watch and see how it actually went before formulating what he wanted to do after that. The pokemon Xavier released caused a smirk to come to Haii's face. Two strong, fully evolved pokemon, and then a Chikorita? Well, one could assume that he was probably trying to get in some training in this but wanted to win anyways. Then looking towards Carly's pokemon, Haii brought a finger to his chin. None of them really seemed to match any sort of type coordination... unless the pattern was beyond him which was possible, honestly. [/scrolly]

Xav simply leered sideways at Haii and stuck his tongue out somewhat, before refocusing his attention onto Carly's Poke'mon. A Zubat, Castform and Milotic... it was true his Chikorita was an odd ball to mix in with his own, but at least she would have a good opponent, even if the typing was against her. At the question, he bowed somewhat, politely. "Ladies first." He said, Wish giggling somewhat and grinning back at Xavier.

Rina, hearing the command giggled and came forward lest she hurt her companions and used Shockwave before using Rain Dance, thus making her form change from a normal type to a water type. [/scrolly]

The Shockwave was a good move due to its accuracy, yet Xavier had no intentions of letting it hit Wish. "Take it, Ri." He called, the Chikorita hopping forth to take the blow instead, causing her to stumble somewhat, but she took the attack rather easily due to typing. She grinned back at Xavier, whom nodded appreciatively. "Synthesis." He waved a hand, Ri nodding once more and healing up slightly. However, Xav was baffled... Carly only had ordered Rina to attack in a triple battle... should he do the same?

He hummed. No, he wouldn't go easy on her... simply because he had a hunch the girl wouldn't take kindly to that. She was too optimistic for that kind of shenanigans. What could he do then... it was raining... "Wish, Thunder on Milly. And Lady, Toxic on Rina." Wish grumbled somewhat before summoning the Thunder attack, while Lady leered somewhat, hesitant to oblige, but... the sooner this was over, the sooner she could be back in her ball. Nodding, she spat the Toxic forth.

Of course she hadn't forgotten to account for the other two Pokemon, she had just been waiting to see what strategy Xavier would use. Seeing the Toxic headed towards Rina and the Thunder headed towards Milly, Carly didn't hesitate,Dodge it Milly! Rina use Protect! Nyx use Air Cutter! Rina, Blizzard now! Milly, Mud Slap on Lady!" she called out, gesturing to her Pokemon as she did so. Rina immediately used Protect as she was told to do so, effectively stopping the Toxic from taking effect. Laughing, the Castform floated higher into the air and began to spin, faster and faster until a Blizzard was formed aimed at the other Pokemon. Milly moved out of the way of the Thunder with just barely enough time to spare, though she did get nicked by the move. Wincing slightly, the Milotic formed mud and aimed a Mud Slap at Lady. Nyx flew up into the air and began to flap his wings harder and harder thus forming an Air Cutter aimed at the other Pokemon. [/scrolly]

Xavier couldn't help but gawk somewhat as the Milotic performed the impossible, effectively dodging the Thunder, which would normally been a direct hit under the current weather circumstances. In his taken aback state, Ri had taken the blow from the Air Cutter and called out, rousing the male with a curse. "Quickly Ri, Grass Knot on Milly. Lady-" He blinked, looking at his Arbok.

Whom was positively fuming.

<You little... you... disssssssspicable.... youuu... SSLAPPING A LADY!> She raged, glaring sharply at Milly. She hadn't even reacted to the Air Cutter. <Oh itssss on now, sissster.> She spat, charging her fangs with electricity and darting forth in a furious Thunderfang. Xavier sighed, but didn't stop her; it was a good course of action, after all.

Wish, being the most experienced of the group, ducked his head under the Air Cutter. "That a boy, Wish. Dragon Dance for now." He ordered, Wish curling and twisting in compliance, dancing to gain speed and power.

"Milly use Protect! Nyx, use Aerial Ace on Ri, Rina, Thunder on Wish!"she ordered calmly. Milly nodded and quickly used Protect, keeping her safe from both the Grass Knot and Thunder Fang as a result. Looking at Lady who was fuming, Milly smirked and slapped the Arbok away with her tail,<"I can and I will ... and I just did again,">she replied, amused at how indignant Lady was. Rina twirled some more, obviously enjoying herself when she heard the command and spun around one more time before using Thunder. Nyx flew up high into the air before diving down at the Chikorita with Aerial Ace, determined not to let Carly down. ------------------------- [/scrolly]
