Chaotic Times (Castle)

[Jay]

It was early morning when a blood curdling, horrendous, fearful, horrified, suffering scream vibrated the walls of Forest Castle like a perpetual above-ground earthquake before leveling off into perpetual silence not quite akin to the screams of the planet Aulderan right before it was destroyed by the Death Star but pained enough. Feliciano Rossi sank to his knees and lurched his body forwards into a straight up orz position. Tears spilled from blue eye distorting vision as if said eyes were looking for anything, anyways. A TV was on in the room the blond haired man was in, and now that his initial scream had silenced itself, it began to ramble on once more about the destruction of central capital. Felis was no longer listening, anyways.

Why God...why....why....why.....why.... Felis sobbed as these thoughts circled in his mind, and visions of the destruction and carnage he'd just witnessed on TV mixed with images the flames of Forest Castle licking it into nothingness and now pulsed in his now throbbing head. His heart was pounding a mile a minute as soundless tear streamed down his face. His shoulders shook from the force of these silent sobs. It hurt. It physically hurt. He didn’t care if he knew who the people who had died or not. No, it was the fact that they had died… people… Innocent people…. It was cutting him worse than any knife could. He felt sick and weak unable to even get up from the position he had thrown himself in. His stomach churned, and his head continued to pound.

Rosa's eyes flickered open and stared up at her wedding-cake ceiling. She had heart something just now, but she knew not what. F-F-Felis? came her shaky thoughts. Slowly sitting up and rubbing her eyes, Rosa looked around through her bedroom for a brief moment before mumbling to herself and getting out of bed. Slowly walking to her bedroom door, Rosa took it and slowly began to descend the stairs. What was going on?

Was that ... Felis ... oh please Arceus don't let it be- ... . Not even bothering to get dressed, Elayne threw back the covers and threw open the door, running down the hallway in her simple white and blue pajamas to where she thought she had heard the scream coming from, Elly close on her heels. When she finally approached Felis' room, she all but threw open the door,"Felis! What happened what's wrong!?"she said in a frantic voice as she approached his bed and not caring what he would say at the moment, wrapped her arms around him in a comforting gesture,"Felis ... ? Felis!" Miguel heard the scream and immediately grabbed his sword, throwing on the nearest outfit he could find and rushing out of his room. What had happened ... was someone attacking the castle ... what of Rosa ... ? All these thoughts and more raced through his mind as he ran towards Felis' room where the source of the scream had been. Upon reaching his room and finding the door already open, cautiously walked in to find Elayne with her arms wrapped around Felis. Alarmed, he approached the bed and looked down at Felis' form, wondering what had upset the duke this badly. "Mi'lord ... what has happened ... ?"he asked in a quiet, gentle voice lest he upset the man further.[/scrolly]

He hadn't even heard the exclaim from Elayne when she had come in. He continued to simply shake with the force of his silent cries. In another second, he found arms wrapped around him, and for a brief moment he froze. Blue spheres looked upwards and stared at Elayne for a brief moment. Fresh tears spilled from his cheeks still, but his eyes held a certain alarm to them. As Miguel rushed in and then asked what was wrong, Felis shakily raised one hand and pointed to the TV that had continued to talk about the destruction in the capital. "B-b-bombs..." he squeaked weakly before falling silent again. "In the capital... they killed... so many people..." Meanwhile, Rosa was continuing to walk towards Felis's room and came to a brief stop in front of Felis's room. "Hello?" she asked peering inside with a worried expression. As she caught sight of Felis, Elayne, and Miguel, a flicker of unease came to her face. Her eyes slowly followed Felis's finger to the television where she caught sight of---- Green eyes grew large at the sight of the carnage that was being broadcast, but Rosa had now words. [/scrolly]

What Felis said caused her breath to catch in her throat ... it ... it couldn't be true ... could it ... . Shifting her eyes to the TV, Elayne couldn't believe what she was seeing. "How could this happen ... ?"she whispered as tears filled her eyes,"So many people ... ." Miguel too looked at the TV and gripped the handle of his sword tighter. Who would do such a monstrous thing ... to kill all those innocent people! Miguel was seeing red, furious at the rebels for causing all this carnage. He may be a knight and thus sworn to protect ... but Miguel would never harm this many people just to make a statement! To do such a thing ... whoever did this had to be brought to justice. Hearing Rosa's soft voice brought him out of this though and as he turned toward her, he could tell that she was shocked by what she was seeing. "Rosa ... princess come here ... ,"he said in a gentle voice as he sheathed his sword and approached her, wrapping his arms around her in a hug as he reached her.[/scrolly]

All that was in his system was raw empathic emotion, and even as he did his best to control himself, he simply couldn't "All those people... and... who would... do this..." he whispered quietly not really making that much sense speech wise but still trying, regardless. "Why would people... why would...they....hurt so many..." he whimpered still doing his best to try and keep control, but even that was slipping through his fingers. Rosa was quiet still, yet at Miguel's words, she stepped forwards and into his arms. Small hands clasped the front of Miguel's shirt, and Rosa simply stood there clinging to Miguel. She couldn't find the tears to cry with for she didn't understand the full situation, but something fearful was burning in her now and memories that she had been trying to escape from for more than two years were flooding her mind. She knew... she knew everything, but she always tried to beat it back to spare herself. However, at that moment, she couldn't, and this was frightening to her. "Miggy... don't leave me...." was all Rosa begged quietly. [/scrolly]

Suddenly a horrid thought came to her causing her to gasp and released Felis, staring intently at the TV with her eyes wide with alarm,"CORA!"she exclaimed suddenly before bringing her hand to her mouth to cover the sobs that started to come,"Sh...sh....she said that she was going to ... to the salon for something ... a...and .... . Oh God please no ... ,"she managed before dissolving into tears right then and there. Miguel knelt until he was Rosa's height and held her closer to him right as Elayne said Cora's name. Hearing Rosa ask her not to leave him he tightened his grip on her ever so slightly,"Of course not princess ... I'm here ... and I won't leave ... ,"he whispered in her ear as she continued to embrace Rosa.[/scrolly]

"Elayne... Elayne.. we'll go right now..." he said jittery and still slightly in tears. "We have to help... we'll go right now.. if she's there.. we'll find her..." he insisted with a still very shaky voice. His legs were already threatening to give out under him, but he was now up, and he had to do something. This new nervous energy wouldn't let him rest. Rosa breathed a sigh of relief from Miguel's words, ad slowly she broke the hug as she heard Elayne and Felis's words. They were going somewhere? Right now? Where? "What...where?" she squeaked with scattered worried words. She didn't want them to leave... if they left.. what if they didn't come back? [/scrolly]

"I'm ... still in my PJ's .... ," Elayne murmured, shaking her head,"I ... should change ... ,"she continued, her voice sounding far away. Miguel looked at Felis and Elayne then back a the TV and then at Rosa," They're going on a short trip to see Elayne's sister Rosa. But what do you say we get some hot chocolate and then I can tell you a story hmm?"he said in a gentle voice, hoping to distract the young girl enough that she didn't ask questions.[/scrolly]

"I need to as well... How about we both meet at the front in a few minutes?" he asked quickly. Not waiting for an answer, he instead turned towards the walk in closet that was in his room and disappeared into it, slamming the door unintentionally with the force of his nerves driving him. Rosa stood still for a few seconds still worried, yet as she looked at Miguel square in the face, she understood... She'd... have to be ok with this... They would come back! They had to! "O-ok...." she murmured after a few seconds before looking back the way she had come and then back at Miguel again with worry still on her features and a reluctance in her heart. [/scrolly]

Part of her couldn't believe this was really happening ... but ... it was real ... even though it seemed far away at the moment. Closing the door to her room, Elayne dressed in the first things she found and walked out of her room and towards the entrance, Elly trailing behind her quietly. The Espeon wasn't going to say anything but knew that Elayne would talk to her when she was ready, for now though Elly would remain by her side and help her. Miguel smiled kindly and picked Rosa up,"Come on princesss~, I'll make us my famous hot chocolate and then you can decide on what story you would like to hear."[/scrolly]

Once more that comforting feeling had come to her, and Rosa slowly laid her head on Miguel's chest as they walked to the kitchen. "Ok..." she murmured softly closing her eyes and quietly sighed. She didn't realize how tired she still was..... As they came towards the kitchen, Rosa slowly sat her form up again and looked into it. What was once familiar in the light now somehow terrified her in the dark, and a quiet squeak of sorts escaped from her throat. Meanwhile, Felis changed, walked out of his room, picked up a few pokeballs, and then started towards the front. Upon seeing Elayne there, he gave her a quiet nod. "I'm sure Harubi can take... all three of us," he said slowly nodding to Elly before then taking hold of the front door and stepping outside. Throwing out of the pokeballs and watching the large Tropius take form, Felis slowly smiled. "Haru... we need to get to the capital..." Felis smiled a little. The Tropius slowly bowed and nodded before lowering himself even more to allow Felis and Elayne to get on. Felis made a gesture for Elayne o go first. He'd sit behind her and keep her form falling back... [/scrolly]

I have an idea ... why don't we light some candles~? It'll look like we're camping outside hmm?"Miguel suggested in a gentle voice as he held Rosa a little closer to him. Elayne nodded and picked up Elly, holding the Espeon close to her as Felis told her to get on. Climbing onto Harubi, Elayne sat down and set Elly down on her lap, wincing slightly as she felt Elly dig her claws into her legs. Elly had never really gotten quite used to flying and didn't very much enjoy it to say the least of things. [/scrolly]

Oh! That would be fun! "Ok!" she said as she broke into a smile. That would be fun, right? Breathing in quietly, Rosa slowly began to squirm a bit to be set back down on her feet. Upon getting there, she realized how cold the kitchen floors were and almost wanted to climb back up into Miguel's arms again. "....Miggy... where are the candles?" Rosa asked not having the slightest clue as to where they could be. After Elayne got on, Felis got on behind her, and with that, Harbui broke into the air in one swift jump of sorts. His wngs flapped, and he gained altitude before starting to level off and glide through the air towards the capital. Felis's legs tightened around Harubi, and he simply allowed the air to rush past him after that.. It would be alright. He trusted the Tropius. [/scrolly]

"The candles seem to be hiding from us ... ,"Miguel said in a playful voice before taking Rosa's hand to make sure she didn't get lost,"Why don't we go find them hmm? I believe their hiding place is in a cupboard but they like to jump so I'm not sure which cupboard they're in anymore," he continued as he led Rosa into the adjoining room.[/scrolly]

Walking into the adjoining room, she nodded her head. "Oh I see," she stated as she began to look around rather quickly into the darkness of the room. Some part of her irked for a brief moment, but she managed to keep herself brave... for now. Slowly stepping in, Rosa reached out and pulled at a drawer looking for anything that resembled a candle or something of its general nature. She found a pair of scissors and a few other miscellaneous things, but she didn't find any candles. [/scrolly]

After some time had passed, Miguel opened up the last cupboard and laughed,"I found them Rosa~!"he called, still chuckling. Of course they would be in the last place he checked,"Why don't you help me carry them into the kitchen and I can start the hot chocolate. It looks like there's even a pink candle here too."[/scrolly]

"Really?" she asked meaning the pink candle. It was her favorite color, after all. Walking over to Miguel, Rosa looked at the candles before holding out her somewhat thin arms to take as many as she could. Upon taking up a secure grasp, she beamed up at Miguel through the darkness. "Now to the kitchen!" she proclaimed before making a rather interesting turn and starting back to the kitchen.... only to stop and make sure Miguel was following before continuing forwards, of course. Picking up some candles himself, Miguel stood up and followed Rosa towards the kitchen. Once there he began to place the candles around the room, thus relieving Rosa of her burden as well. Finding a lighter in one of the cupboards, Miguel began to light the candles around the room, creating a beautiful sight to behold indeed. Looking at Rosa, he smiled,"What do you think princess?"Miguel asked before getting a pot out of another cupboard, turning on the heat, getting milk out of the fridge, and pouring it in the pot in one fluid motion.[/scrolly]

Dressed in her usual low-cut top, tight jeans, and leather jacket, it was obvious the bartender/vigilante was not her usual self. The Charizard she was riding, though it was Zander, didn't seem like it. He flew slowly, his head sort of drooping. Jade had been on a job, taking care of some punks, and that went rather swift and well, actually. It was the ride home that took a turn for the worst. She was just close enough to see the explosions when they happened, from the air. The two had made a detour afterwards, landing in a clearing so Jade could have a good cry, being snuggled by Zander. But now...she had to go somewhere. One person would be worried about her; knowing she lived in the Capital, after all. She just thanked Arceus her Pokemon were with her and safe. Zander landed in front of the castle, and curled up on the grass sadly. Jade, meanwhile, slowly made her way to the door; she'd never been here, but she knew Miguel lived here because he'd told her. Sucking in a deep breath, and wiping her face on her sleeve, the woman gave the door a slow, somewhat timid, knock. "M-Miguel....please be here...." She muttered. [/scrolly]

Clapping her hands together, the young girl looked up at Miguel and flashed a smile. "Much better!" she answered back. Knock. Rosa's ears perked slightly, and her head jutted out towards the hallway. Had she just heard that? Er... "Did you hear that?" she murmured before looking back at Miguel. A sudden flash of hope broke into Rosa, and she twisted her full body towards the hallway and then started out. "Maybe Felis and Elayne are back!" she called quickly heading towards the door. Her hand reached the door, and though she hesitated a little with the lock on the door, she finally opened it beaming out at --- Oh... that wasn't Felis or Elayne... "Who are you?" she asked hesitantly. [/scrolly]
