Turning off the heat on the stove and removing the pot from the burner lest it overflow when they were gone, Miguel followed Rosa down the hallway to the front door. It was certainly too soon for Felis and Elayne to have returned and this worried Miguel ... who could possibly be calling this early knowing what had just happened just a few mere hours ago. Reaching the door shortly after Rosa had opened it, Miguel opened the door further and stopped ... Jade ... . The hours that he had spent with the woman rushed to the forefront of his mind and Miguel kicked himself for not remembering she lived in the commercial district. Of course the possibility that he had been more concerned with Rosa hadn't crossed his mind, right then his only concern was for the well fare of the woman now standing in front of their doorstep. "Jade ... ,"Miguel said quietly as he stepped in front of Rosa and wrapped his arms around the clearly distraught woman,"Jade ... are you all right ... ? You're not hurt are you?"he asked in a gentle voice as he looked into her eyes, obviously concerned about what had happened to make Jade this upset ... he had never seen the woman this way and it frightened him. "Come inside ... we can talk there ... ,"Miguel continued in a gentle voice before looking down at Rosa and smiling encouragingly,"Rosa, this is Jade. She's a friend I met when I was exploring the cities one day,"he explained to the young girl as he led Jade to a nearby couch. Evania saw Zander and Jade land and immediately knew that something was wrong. Watching as Jade was taken inside, the Dragonite landed by Zander and nudged him gently, <"Zander ... ? What's wrong ... ?">[/scrolly]

When Miguel did come to the door, she wrapped her arms tightly around him. "Miguel....I'm fine...I just....I...." She swallowed hard, trying not to cry again as she followed Miguel inside. Sitting on the couch, she took a few more deep breaths. "I'm not hurt....I was on a job...an easy one. That was fine...I was flying home and I saw...in the distance...." She broke down again, tears streaming down her face. "Miguel...my apartment is....." She clung to him, burying her face in his shoulder. She felt so....weak. So useless. She was supposed to be strong and here she was broken and crying and slobbering all over the man she loved. Zander looked up as Evania landed next to him. He looked at her, then away, not wanting her to see him like this. <I...I mean...Jade and I....we saw....explosion. From the air. She wanted me....to take her to Miguel....> [/scrolly]

Jade? Looking forwards again, Rosa stared at the blond haired woman in front of her again. Who was ....Rosa's expression flickered for a moment as Miguel stepped past her and hugged Jade, and something she couldn't put into words came to her. Jealousy. Her eyes shifted away rather quickly when Miguel had looked back at her, but Rosa took the information. So he'd met this woman in a city... while he was away from home... ok.... Rosa followed them both as they walked to the couch, yet she found herself dragging her feet for reasons she still couldn't understand. As they had sat down, Rosa hesitated a moment but slowly seated herself in a chair to herself. She suddenly felt very... detached, and ... As Jade began to speak, Rosa's eyes settled themselves on the woman there, and a forced blank expression stayed on the child's features. Why was she here? It wasn't ... Rosa didn't understand Jade's words, but a weird part of her didn't... care. [/scrolly]

Of course Jade knew all too well what Miguel's standing was concerning her job and ... though he hated to admit it, was rather relieved that Jade no longer had to attend the bar that had been previously in the commercial district before this all happened. This truth did nothing but prove to make Miguel feel worse of course and so he simply dismissed the thought for the time being. Miguel knew exactly what Jade was trying to say and said nothing, simply wrapping his arms around her again until her tears died down,"It's all right ... you're safe now ... ,"he replied quietly before backing away enough that he could look at Jade and smiled slightly before looking at Rosa,What do you say we get that hot chocolate now ... hmm princess?" Evania nodded as Jade explained and attempted to help Zander to his feet,<"Come ... I want to show you something and ... the young master's sister is rather fearful of fire. I do not wish for you to be hurt further ... nor for her to be frightened,">she explained in a kind, gentle voice.[/scrolly]

"I almost didn't take that job....If I hadn't..." The woman paled. "Hot chocolate sounds nice..." she murmured before saying very lightly under her breath, "Maybe something a little stronger....." Zander nodded, slowly standing up. <I understand...children are afraid of me...> he murmured. <What do you want to show me?> [/scrolly]

She listened to Jade's words, and a pure sympathy came to her face for a second before disappearing again as Miguel asked about the hot chocolate. Right... They'd been making some tasty chocolate... They meaning Miguel and Rosa only. Jade's murmur didn't go unheard, and Rosa found her eyes looking away sharply from Miguel and Jade. Her arms crossed along with her legs, and her entire body puffed up like a balloon. "I don't want it," she snapped a little harder than she had even meant to. Her eyes had now fixated themselves on a corner in the room farthest from Miguel and Jade. [/scrolly]

Miguel hadn't even thought that Rosa might be jealous about him paying attention to another woman but somehow now found the prospect of it amusing. Walking over to the young girl he knelt down to her level,"Rosa~ princess ... would you like to tell me what's going on?"he asked in a kind, gentle voice, smiling at the young girl despite the fact that he knew full well what might have been going on in the young girl's mind,"... You know~ ... if you don't a smile soon~ the tickle monster might come out to play~." Evania simply smiled when Zander rose, <"My favorite place~,">she replied cryptically before taking off, expecting Zander to follow her. After a few moments of flying, Evania landed near a lake that seemed to be surrounded by trees and flowers. The sight was truly beautiful to behold and unless one knew where to look, nobody was going to find them.[/scrolly]

Great...she was homeless, the bar she worked at had been destroyed, and now some little kid she didn't even know hated her. Jade stood up, stretching a little. "Actually....I'll be right back...." She murmured, getting up and going down the hall and to the kitchen, hoping no one would follow. Once there, she reached into her purse, pulling out a small flask; the last of her alcohol, actually. Though there wasn't much in it...the woman opened it, turning it up and draining every drop before putting it back into her purse. Then, she walked back in and sat on the couch again, pulling her knees up to her chest and lowering her head. "Maybe I should....I don't know...leave..." she muttered softly. Honestly, she didn't know where else she could go, but it was obvious she was intruding on something here. Zander followed curiously, landing next to her and looking around. <Wow...it' s beautiful....> he murmured. [/scrolly]

The question was met with a 'hmph' sound, and the 'threat' was met with another 'hmph' sound. She wasn't going to talk to him about what he did wrong, and she wasn't going to talk to that woman for what she had done wrong. Thus, Rosa had resolved not to speak. When Jade had gotten up, Rosa's eyes had followed her until she disappeared, and suddenly they shot rather dangerously at Miguel. "It's not fair, and you're being mean," was all she snapped, slightly diffusing her previous silent treatment if only for a second. Whatever this slur of words actually meant was actually hard to intemperate considering Miguel hadn't actually done much.... But Rosa had seen it, had saw it... whatever. And he'd done it. When Jade had come back in again, Rosa had resolved herself to silence again. >3< Pft, why wouldn't that woman just go away? Then she could go back to having hot chocolate with Miggy, and all would be wright with the world. [/scrolly]

When the young girl finally did answer, Miguel's suspicions were confirmed, taking Rosa's hands, Miguel looked into her eyes,"How am I being mean princess ... ?"he asked in a gentle voice,"I was only trying to cheer up Jade just as I would have done with Elayne or Felis if they had been as upset. You'll still always be my little princess Rosa~, but you know I may be somebody else's prince charming one day. I want you to know that I'll always be here." This said, Miguel embraced Rosa,"But you know~ ... I still didn't see a smile~ ... ,"he said in a mischievous voice before he began to tickle Rosa. The tickling continued for some time until a little before Jade came back and sat on the couch, hearing Jade speak Miguel looked a little worried though he didn't let Rosa see it,"Princess, what do you say to a tea party hmm? You could show off one of your beautiful dresses while I finish in the kitchen? You could ask Jade about the puppies she has too~ I'm sure she would enjoy letting them play,"he suggested in a kind, gentle voice before moving over to the couch and hugging Jade, kissing her on the forehead comfortingly,"You're not going anywhere m'lady ... , I am not going to let you leave when you're this upset. I shall be be back shortly,"Miguel continued, his voice just above a whisper meant only for Jade's ears. Standing up, Miguel made as if to head towards the kitchen of course he would wait and see what Rosa did first before he left entirely. Evania smiled when Zander complimented her little hideaway, <"Thank you~ I enjoy it myself as well. It's like my very own secret garden~.">[/scrolly]

She didn't want to leave, yet....she didn't quite feel welcome here as of now. However, Miguel's touch, his lips on her forehead...that calmed her. But...Please don't leave me alone please don't leave... Played through her mind. Zander smiled, rather weakly, but a smile. <Sad to say it's not much of a secret now,> the Charizard murmured, looking at her. Then...he smiled more. <You remember when we met? A slight nervous blush hit her features though Rosa wasn't sure as to why. How was he being mean? He....he....he...That was exactly it! He'd been trying to cheer up some foreign woman! Felis was her brother. Elayne was her cousin. This Jade was not her sister, not her cousin, and not anyone she'd met before until she knocked on her door! And Miggy hugged her! As Miguel had continued, something in Rosa cracked, and what had once been anger was now just a deafened shock. Someone else's prince charming? But w-w-why? why?... Feeling the sudden hug, Rosa had to fight back shock tears. W-w-w-why.... She didn't want to give up anyone. It... it wasn't fair ;3;.....However, the sudden tickle was enough to cause Rosa to beat back the tears, and a startled laugh escaped from her. She laughed and squirmed a bit until Jade had come back and Miguel had stopped, yet it was enough to make the girl smile for a moment. The question was out of the question. A tea party with that woman who--but... Miggy had...but...but...but. Poor Rosa was all confused now, and a infliction between happiness and sadness was all that she was left with. After a few seconds, she slowly shook her head and looked at Jade. Alright... no more sadness! >3< Come on! She had ... had to be happy for Miggy! So he'd call her Princess and care and and and yeah! As Miguel kissed Jade's forehead and left, Rosa flinched a little internally but forced a smile... Looking at Jade, she sucked in a deep breath. Alright... she'd.... be nice for now. Slowly forcing herself up off her chair, Rosa moved over towards Jade and managed to keep her smile. "Miggy said you had puppies?" she asked a good deal quieter than she normally would have been. He was proud of Rosa for even speaking to Jade when he knew that Rosa was used to having him all to herself and though Miguel wasn't certain how the day would play out, he was going to try and make it work. Surely by the end of the day Jade would have won Rosa over ... or at least Miguel hoped so; putting the pot of milk back on the burner, Miguel turned the heat up and pulled three mugs from the cabinet along with the hot chocolate mix, it wouldn't take long before the milk would be hot enough to pour into the mix but Miguel hoped the time would give the two girls a chance to talk. Evania chuckled at Zander's comment before shrugging,<"I can share it with you~,">she replied in a gentle voice before looking at Zander and nodding,<"Yes I remember that day well~.">[/scrolly]

"I have two. Maxine and Lacy," she replied, fishing two Pokeballs out of her purse and letting the two canines loose in the middle of the room. Maxine, the Houndoom, looked at Rosa, cocking her head to the side before giving a rather tired yawn. The Granbull merely curled up, making herself comfortable as she let out a more lazy yawn. "They've had a long day, but they're usually more active. Well...Maxine is. But they're really sweet." Zander blushed lightly. <Thank you. And...you're....still very pretty....> he said quietly. T-that was a f-fire p-okemon... just like the one she'd...she'd...she'd...... However, the yawn of sorts diffused the situation a good deal, and Rosa snapped out of her sudden spiraling fear rather easily. Shaking her head a little, she stared at the Houndoom again before slowly nodding. This doggie didn't look like... like the one she had seen....Suddenly embarrassment set in, and Rosa found herself laughing nervously. "So big! She surprised me!" the young girl insisted rather adamantly looking at Jade for some sort of conformation that she believed this. [/scrolly]

Lacy wanted to be pet too, but....Rosa would have to come to her. Screw moving... Zander blushed a little deeper, then looked at their reflection in the water. <Thank--thank you...I....I wish the circumstances were better, but....it's nice to see you again.> [/scrolly]

A smile came to her features, and she giggled slightly before petting Maxine. "Good girl~" she smiled softly scratching under the Houndoom's chin and beaming a bit more now. Slowly looking towards the Granbull, Rosa slowly started to scoot herself over to Lacy, not once stopping her pets of Maxine mind you, and once she was in arm's length, she pat the Grandbull and the Houndoom at the same time slowly smiling more and more. Adding the chocolate mix to the milk in the pot, Miguel stirred the contents with a wooden spoon, enjoying the rich aroma of chocolate as he stirred. Evania nodded in agreement,<"I too wish that the circumstances were better ... but such is life. It is indeed wonderful to see you again Zander ... . What would you like to do to pass the time?">[/scrolly]

Zander blinked, looking at Evania, a slight blush coming to his face. <I erm...don't know.> He looked away, thinking. Though he had to admit this was calming.
