YES, Secret Santa~ \o/
So here's how this is going to work! I'm going to leave this up for five days, until the end of Dec 7. During that time, everyone who wants to play should sign up, in two ways!
First of all, note if you as a member are playing. This will be the big thing.
Then, as a gag, note if you have any characters who want to play. X3
At the end of the 'week' (:B the first week of December anyway), I will shuffle results and match people up for both categories.
Players will be PM'd who they got. They can then create a gift of any nature for the other player. They can make gift art or sprites, or sets of things if they don't feel it's enough, or write stories as gifts, or whatever. Hell, if possible, one could even bake fucking cookies or buy something and mail IRL or something. x3 Anything is a cool gift. The only catch is you CANNOT tell the person you're they're Secret Santa! EVER! :B
(On that note, in order to avoid suspicion, please post when you sign up if you wouldn't mind giving most people on VC your address to receive RL presents. DO NOT publicly post your information, of course. Just let us know if it's plausible, so your Santa will know his or her options without having to ask you directly. ;3)
|D THEN, I want everyone to PM either me or Jay- whoever you got your info from originally- with your present BEFORE Christmas Eve! If you aren't done yet, send what you've got with a note that you'll still be finishing it. Just make sure whatever you do is unsigned and anonymous. If you're sending a physical present, tell your designated admin what you got them. Pics are nice, but not required.
X3 Then comes the EXTRA fun part. On either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day- ideally the prior but at latest the first time we have a chance thereafter, Jay and I will post everyone's gifts here. (It is possible to request a gift stay private if you have a really good reason (ex: you drew art that isn't exactly Proboards appropriate XP *SHOTHARD* X3 What? If someone wants to do it..! Just please make sure WHATEVER you do won't offend your recipient! But yes, if you prefer and request it, we can PM the person instead, and a note will simply be made here that they got their present via PM.) If someone is supposed to get real mail, a note will be made of that and what they're getting, with a picture if provided.
We will NOT be saying who the gifts were from! XP This is the reason that some people will get Jay sending their stuff and some will get SG. This way I can split it so Jay knows who my Santa is and I know who hers is, but neither of us know our own. This is because for the next part....
GUESS! X3 Everyone will have until New Year's to guess who their Secret Santa is based on their present!
Because the Festival is currently Christmasy and this is Christmasy and what are you talking about of course something like this TOTALLY makes sense IC what are you talking about? XP But yes, because of that, EVERY person who manages to get in a present by the deadline will get 10 Tokens to allot as they see fit, though no more than 5 Tokens to any one character unless they only have one. Especially awesome presents that just seem to go above and beyond may be awarded 15 Tokens instead, with a similar limit on allotting.
(In the event your Santa turns out to be a Grinch, you will be given 5 Tokens as a consolation prize whether you were a Grinch yourself too or not.)
THEN, if you can GUESS your Santa (no cheating, PLEASE), you will get an EXTRA 5 Tokens. \o/ Actually, you'll get two free guesses, and then lose a token for every incorrect guess after that down to your last token. You'll still be able to get at least 1 Token no matter what. XP These Tokens can be split however you like and can stack with Tokens granted from the first half.

X3 ALSO, if you haven't forgotten while SG was drabbling on so long about the main contest, the character part is still a thing. This will be solely for fun. Once the deadline for sign-ups has passed, I will publicly post character matchups just for kicks, and you guys can proceed to turn this into a ridiculous game of characters gathered in a giant room all together for no particular reason and giving each other presents; assume they all have at least a general idea of who everyone is if they've never met, as we tend to in the box.
Script format and total crack are encouraged. (For example:
Kali: *gives Lance air freshener* :3 I was going to get you a nicotine patch, but I figured you wouldn't have the willpower, so maybe this'll help you at least stop smelling like an ashtray.
*SHOT* XP) In addition to posting what your characters are getting for the people they drew, please feel free to post their reactions to their own presents, comments on other people's, and discussion of any stupid thing that comes up. x3 This is mostly just to pass time and have fun while waiting for the real player presents.
