Meeting a new friend. { MOD/open}

[Maid Melody]

Elayne looked at Cora and saw that she was sincere, and nodded before walking over to a log and sitting on it.
"So, my name's Elayne, and the espeon is Elly. We've been together for years." she said in a kind voice, not really sure what to make of Cora at the moment.

Elly was the first to approach Cora, walking right up to where she was and...right over to where a misplaced shoe was. Sniffing the shoe carefully, Elly looked over at Elayne, then back at Cora before taking the shoe and running back over to Elayne to investigate further.

Elayne looked down at Elly and saw that she was playing with a shoe and shook her head; the espeon had been acting very strangely ever since they met Cora...

By now, Elly had her face buried in the shoe, and had just figured out something that seemed to excite her, causing her tail to swish back and forth excitedly.

The area was rather quiet then and there. No real pokemon seemed to be on the move or anything of the like.

Cora looked at Elayne as she sat down and introduced her self and her espeon, she named Elly. Cora smiled and nodded happy she was not going to be scared off. Cora then sat down on a rock just before Elly took off with one of Cora's extra shoes, and started to sniff at it seemingly enjoying her self. Cora laughed before speaking. " Nice to meet you Elayne, I have Had Charzard for years to. Got him as a baby Charmander when I was ten years old from my Mom. Though when I meet other people they don't seem to like him that much... guess I have those blasted rebels to thank for that... I bet some of them also have Charzards... Oh well..." Cora said shaking her head at the thought, also remembering the times few random rebels wanted her to join them. Shaking her head again she looked back up at Elayne with a smile.

" Elly seems to sure enjoy my shoe, anyway.. These are my friends. Charzard, Mudkip, Treecko. And our newest member is Poochyena. Just caught the little cutie today while looking for a Shinx... I know Shinx are hard to come by but I really want one." Cora said with a smile and the look of excitement in her eyes of the thought of the challenge.

As Cora named off her Pokemon they all did something cute.. besides Poochyena who just looked and growled at Elly.
Charzard bowed, "It is nice to meet you Elayne and Elly." He said in a kind voice and straitened back up.
Treecko did a cool looking pose and looked at Elayne with a smug looking look. Mudkip walked over to Elayne looked up at her with a smile. " Muud Kip" she said cutely.

Elayne looked at Elly as she ran off with Cora's shoe with a very confused expression on her face. Elly was acting very...odd lately, but she seemed relaxed enough so there was no immediate danger.
"Wow, that's amazing...I rescued Elly from being abused when I was 13, we've been together ever since and then she evolved into espeon so at least she's happy now...I haven't run into any rebels...thank goodness, but I think Elly would make them wish they hadn't messed with me...she's really protective of me, I suppose that's because I protected her years ago..." she said in a kind, quiet voice before reaching down to take the shoe from Elly and handing it back to Cora,"Sorry about that, I don't know what's gotten into her..."

Elly looked disappointed that the shoe was taken away but looked up at Elayne with wide, excited eyes.
"SHE SMELLS LIKE YOU!" she said-thought in a loud excited voice.

Elayne winced as Elly practically yelled inside her head and then blinked, confused and was trying to figure out what Elly meant when Cora started to speak to her again, bringing her back to reality. When the pokemon struck poses, Elayne giggled and pet mudkip when she walked over to her.
"They seem to be sweet pokemon Cora, and I'm sure poochyena will be too when he warms up to you," she said in a kind voice before realizing that the charzard had just spoken to her, blinking, she looked up at the big fire type pokemon and smiled," Nice to meet you too...Wow, I didn't know you could talk, Elly can talk too...sort of, but it's more of telepathy than actually vocal speaking...did you guys hear what she said earlier?"she asked in an unsure voice, looking back at Cora and the other pokemon.

Cora smiled as she she listened to Elayne talk. She seemed like a nice person and hopefully they could become good friends. They seemed to have lots in common besides the birth mark they both shared. But Cora just thought that was cool but thought nothing of it. Elayne seemed to share the same love of Pokemon she did and that made her happy. Now days it was rare for Cora anyway to find someone who cared deeply for Pokemon. " That's cool Elayne. I'm glad you where able to save Elly from being abused. I would have done the very same thing." Cora said with a smile. " Charzard is very protective of me to. Though I think that just comes with the fact he was my very first Pokemon."

Then when Elayne took her shoe away from Elly and handed it back to her. Cora giggled a little and took the shoe back. " Its ok, whatever makes a Pokemon happy I say," Cora said as she put the shoe away. Then the next thing she knew she heard a unfamiliar voice yell in her head. Cora flinched and held her head for that hurt. " Oww.... Who do I smell like??? And where did that voice come from?" She asked then shook her head to make the pain go away. Cora then looked at Elly and wondered what she was so happy about all of a sudden. " Was that you?" She asked before looking back at Elayne. Cora smiled when Elayne called her pokemon sweet.

" Thanks Elayne, yours are sweet too. I like Elly a lot." She said with a smile. " And I agree, poochyena and I will be best friends someday." She said with a nod. Cora then started to think about the birth mark they both shared but waited to say something about after Charzard got done talking to Elayne. Charzard smiled at Elayne. " It took a few years but Cora tought me how to talk. The hard work was well worth it. And Yes I think we all heard her talk using telepathy. It was kind of loud though." Charzard chuckled. Mudkip lend into Elayne's hand when she petted her. " Muuuud kip" She said happily enjoying being petted. Treecko stopped poseing and layed down and closed his eyes to relaxe. Poochyena was no longer growling but stayed where he was.

After Charzard got done talking to Elayne Cora stood up. " By the way Elayne.. Back at the store I saw your brith mark. I have one just like it on my shoulder. Cool huh? See?" Cora said and she turned around to show her brith mark to Elayne.

Elly nodded her head when Cora asked if the voice was her and swished her tail back and forth happily. When Cora showed her own sparrow birthmark, Elly's face was one of bemused shock. Only Elayne had that mark; how did this girl have one in the exact same spot?!
Jumping onto Cora's shoulder to investigate the birthmark, poking it to see if it was a fake"IT'S JUST LIKE YOUR MARK!!! SHE'S YOU...BUT NOT YOU!!!" Elly exclaimed even while she examined the mark.

Elayne smiled apologetically at Charizard when he told her that Elly's voice was loud and all but gasped when Cora showed her the birthmark. When Elly shouted in her head, Elayne gasped and held her head in both hands.
"Elly...not so loud..."she groaned before looking up at the espeon that was now on Cora's shoulders,"What are you doing? Get off of her Elly."

Elly looked very sheepish when Elayne scolded her and jumped off of Cora's shoulders although she still looked at Cora with an excited expression on her face even as she sat down on the rock next to Elayne.

Elayne looked at Elly and was a little glad for the distraction of the excited espeon. Elly had said that the mark was just like hers...even said that Cora was her...
"Are the rumors true then...is she really...?"[/i]she thought as she lowered her hands to her lap and stared down at them, glad for the hair that now hid her face from view.
"Do I really...have a sister...?"

Elly felt the conflicting emotions inside Elayne and stopped staring at Cora, mewing in a concerned voice as she put one paw on Elayne's leg.
"Elayne...?"

Elayne lifted one hand and reached out to pet Elly, knowing that the espeon was concerned about her at the moment even as a tear drifted down her cheek. If this was true...then her parents had lied to her all those years...

Elly alone saw the tear and immediately hopped onto Elayne's lap, purring comfortingly.

When Elayne did not respond right away Cora turned to look at her and saw she looked like she was distraught. Cora then thought she said something to upset Elayne and felt bad. " Oh my goodness! I'm sorry if I said something to up set you Elayne... I.. I did not mean to." Cora said and walked over to Elayne's side and out a hand on her shoulder comforting away. She was not very good at trying to help someone feel better that she did not know every well. Cora bit her lip as her mind raced. She then looked at Elly. It was crazy idea but it was worth a try. " Hey Elly I don't know what I did but could you help me make Elayne feel better?" She asked using her mind and hoped the psychic Pokemon heard her.

Charzard tilted his head at Elayne's reaction. He found it odd, all Cora did was show they had the same birth mark. Why was that such a big deal? Though not knowing what to say he thought it best to let the two trainers talk it out. Mudkip who was at Elayne's feet looked up at her with a worried expression. "Muud Mud kip Muud." She said and put one of her paws on Elayne's legs. Not wanting Elayne to be upset. Treecko had stopped whatever he was doing and ran over to Cora and jumped up onto her shoulder. " Treecko?" He said not really knowing what was going on.
poochyena noticed where he sat what was going on and got curios and walked over a little closer and stopped just a few feet away from Charzard.

Elly looked up at Cora, having heard her thoughts and blinked before shaking her head,
"You both have the same birthmarks and smell the same...think about it...what would you think if you realized your parents had been lying to you all your life...?"she said in a calm, gentle voice before continuing to purr comfortingly in Elayne's lap.

Elayne was indeed shocked, her emotions ranged from anger to sadness to hatred, to delight, all at once. She was in fact happy that she had a sister but...at the same time, it meant that her parents had lied to her. These conflicting emotions raged within her, Elayne didn't know what to think but hearing Elly's words in her head only proved what she had already figured out on her own: Cora was her sister...her twin sister.
For a moment Elayne just sat there, not even realizing that Cora's Mudkip had approached her until she felt a paw on her leg that seemed to snap her out of the state of shock she had been in. Finally looking up, she placed one hand on Mudkip's head and the other on Elly's, reassuring them that she was all right even though her heart was filled with a tumult of emotions, all conflicting with each other.
"No...you...you didn't say anything wrong Cora...but...we...you see...we're sisters..."she said in a quiet voice that sounded just as shocked and amazed as she had felt when she first realized it.

Cora gave a look at Elly having no idea what she was talking about. She smelled the same way Elayne did? And yes they had the same birth mark but did could not have meant anything?? Could it? Cora then took her hand off of Elayne's shoulder and took a few steps back very confused on what was going on. Elayne's parents lied about something? It had nothing to do with her though??? Right? Cora did not know Elayne let alone her family... Charzard watched this and knew this day would come.. Cora was about to find her birth family... And someday meet her birth parents.. One was nice the other could be seen as almost evil... He was just a Charmander back then and did not know Cora yet... But he remembered her Father..

Then what Elayne said next shocked Cora to no end. Her eyes widened and again she took a step back. Yes Cora knew she was adopted but she was never told she had a sister... Her Mother never told her about the family that gave her up.. Though she did say it was a closed adoption and the only thing she knew was the name her parents wanted to give her so she used that name for her middle name.. If Elayne is really her sister she should know her middle name... Cora held her hand and cleared her throat before speaking. " To tell you the truth this is a little out of the blue... I know I'm adopted but to tell the truth I look more like my adopted Mother then I do you.. If you are my sister... What was the name my birth parents gave me? Cora asked. Wanting Elayne to know the answer.. If she knew it she was one step closer to finding her birth family.. Though she would always love her adopted Mother all the same.

Elayne looked down at Elly and hugged the Espeon close to her, closing her eyes as she thought about the rumors that had been going around the castle...what was that name they had been talking about anyway. Elayne had heard the name once or twice, but she had written it off as mere rumors and hadn't given it much thought, sighing she shook her head, about to tell Cora that she couldn't remember the name when Elayne heard a small voice...Elly?
"Wasn't it Alicia Elayne?"Elly mewed for Elayne's ears alone.
Elayne opened her eyes and looked down at Elly, deep in thought; indeed, that name did sound familiar...perhaps...looking up at Cora again, Elayne sighed.
"Was it...Alicia...?"she asked in a quiet, unsure voice,"I'm sorry...it's been so long...I'm not sure if I remember..."

Cora waited for answer as she started to sweat a little. If Elayne knew the answer that would mean there is a whole part of her self she did not know about. That fact kinda scared her but yet excited her at the same time. She has always wondered who her other family where and here... If Elayne knew her middle name was her chance. Though while looking at Elayne she kept a normal looking face not wanting her to feel rushed or anything...
Charzard looked at both girls and hoped for there sake if Elayne could remember they would be able to work through this together and get one one huge thing that got in there way in the first place.. There mother.. Before Cora's father gave him to Cora's adoptive mother he did spend some time with him.

And even though he could not talk back then Cora's Father did talk about what happened and why Cora was no longer in that family. He did not like what he heard about the Mother and knew when Cora found out she would want to meet her face to face someday... After a few minutes Elayne said it.. She said Alicia. Shock but relief spread across Cora's face. In fact her knees gave out and sat down on a rock.. Cora could not believe it... She had a sister!! And a family she did not know about! After getting over her shock and got up and walked over to Elayne and took her hands into hers. Tears of joy starting to feel her eyes.
" Yes! Thats my middle name!! The name my birth parent's gave me!"


" Please! You must tell me what your.. I mean our family is like. I have wanted to know for such a long time." Cora said she let go of Elayne's hands and walked back over to the rock and sat down on it and waited to hear about the family she never knew. Charzard looked at his friend with a somewhat worried look. She may be happy now... But she would not be once she hears the real story... Though he knew someday Cora would grow to love her Father at least... But would HATE her birth Mother. Treecko looked at Charzard and knew what Cora was going to hear she was not going to like. So the small grass pokemon looked at her then jumped up from her shoulder to her head. Mudkip was happy Elayne was on and smiled when she petted her. She then walked over to Cora and sat down at her feet. Poochyena on the other hand just stayed where he was and kinda went to sleep. Not really careing what was going on at the moment.

Elayne blinked when Cora took her hands in her own and stared at her excited eyes for a moment, sadness filling her even as she heard Cora's request and dreaded having to be the one to tell Cora the truth. As soon as Cora released her hands, Elayne hugged Elly closer to her chest and looked away from Cora, tears filling her eyes as she thought about what to say.
"Cora...stop..."she whispered as the tears started to fall down her cheeks,"I....ran away...because of them...they....no...mom...hated what I wanted to be...she...she wanted to turn Lily...sh.sh.shadow..."
Elayne's voice faltered and she hugged Elly even tighter as she swallowed and tried to find her voice again.
"Following...m.my dream was...foolish nonsense and...dad never told her to stop...he just stood there...watching...I...I...HATE[/b] her...hate...what I am...that...that's why I run..."[/color]she said in a quiet voice nearly choked with tears,"I...I...can't go back...never..."
Saying this, Elayne buried her face in Elly's fur as her shoulders began to shake with sobs.

Elly mewed comfortingly, and purred in Elayne's ear, knowing that there was very little she could do at the moment but wait.

Cora watched Elayne and the smile she had on her face slowly started to fade away. As she listened to what Elayne was saying about her no their Mother and Father. What got her the most is when she said her Mother wanted to turn Lily into a shadow. The only ones who could do that where nobles.... No... Cora could not be a noble.. She hated nobles... For her to be one was unthinkable.. But.... Seeing as Elayne was her sister then she two was a noble... Cora was so shocked she was speechless. Cora's knees then gave out from under her and fell to the ground. Treecko's eyes grew wide and he held on to Cora's head so not to fall off.

" Shadow Pokemon? Evil Mother??" Cora said in a daze. Charzard walked over to Cora and put his claw gently on Cora's shoulder. He knew this a a terrible shock to her and now she would need time to get over it. Charzard then looked over at Elayne and hoped the sisters could get over this and become good friends.. Though he knew Cora well. After she gets over this she would want to hunt down her birth family to cunfront them. Mudkip ran over to her trainer and started to call out her in a worried voice. " Mudkip!"
Hearing her pokemon Cora came out of her daze blinked and looked around. She then picked up Mudkip and huged her. She then looked over at Elayne and slowly stood up. Charzard helped her up and watched as she went over to Elayne.

Cora walked over and put her hand on Elayne's shoulder. " Elayne... I... I sorry I did not know... I did not know our Mother was such a evil witch... I did not even know I was a noble.. Cora said with bitterness when she said the word noble. It would take her a while to get over that fact now. " But.. all that matters now is that we found each other.. We can be a family now.. And someday you can meet my mom. I know you would love her she is very nice. And someday I will meet my real parents.." When Cora said that she started to think what would happen if she ever did.. What would she do? What would they do when they meet the child they gave up? But none of that mattered. She wanted to get to know her long lost sister Elayne.

Elayne tensed considerably when she felt the hand on her shoulder but relaxed slightly when she heard Cora's voice and slowly looked up at her. Listening as Cora apologized and explained that they could be a family now that they knew who they really were.
"I would...like that..."she said in a quiet, shy voice, still holding Elly in her arms as she looked up at Cora.

Elly relaxed when she felt Elayne relax as well and purred contentedly, enjoying being held in Elayne's arms for the time being.

Cora smiled at her sister, not being able to get to know her more. Now in fact she has forgtten her hunt for a shinx and just wanted to spend time with Elayne. Cora then sat down on a near by rock and started to think of what to ask or even talk about. Though her mind was blank and she could not really think of anything. So Cora rubbed the back of her head and just asked. "Well, I have no Idea where to start... What do you want to talk about Elayne?." Cora asked in hopes her sister had something she wanted to talk about. Charzard chuckled a little at Cora, it was funny to see her like this sometimes. It was funny for her when she always had something on her mind. Right now though she had no idea where to start.

She would not mind telling Elayne about her Mother. " Sure, but where to start?" Cora said and she started to think. " Well my Mother is a kind but stern woman who always is there for her friends when they need someone to talk to. She treats everyone with respect even if they don't deserve it. Sometimes I do wish she would let people have it though." Cora said with a small laugh. That's one thing she always had issues with.. If someone was being rude to her Cora would always talk back.. Though her Mother never did, one of the things that left Cora in awe of her Mother. Yet at times made her annoyed with her but no one was perfect. " She also loves Pokemon, she was a trainer in her younger years though she never went very far. She always stayed close to home." Cora said with a smile. " As for me I love to be in the great out doors, and I love to travel. I want to try to catch as many Pokemon as I can and train them to be the best that they can be. And who knows? I may leave Era and visit other countries someday. But that is just a dream. It may never happen. Anyway, what are your dreams? Have anything you want to do?" Cora asked. [/scrolly]

Then again, if her life hadn't been what it was, she wouldn't have her friends or be the person she was today ... perhaps there was something good that had come out of the things she'd been through after all. Nodding at Cora's question, Elayne smiled,"Yes, I've always wanted to be a breeder. Evolution fascinates me to be honest, I suppose that's why I like the Eevee line so much. It's amazing to me how one Pokemon can take on different forms depending on what's around them or even by how happy they are. I haven't really been able to do much breeding though because my mother thought it was foolish for a noble to be a breeder and well ... I've been travelling rather frequently so that I won't be spotted," she said in an eager voice, eyes sparkling with delight as she talked about her dream.[/scrolly]

Though what made her admire Elayne is that she had the guts to stand up for what she wanted. Even though there witch of a mother did not want her to. Heck even if her family did keep her, by the sounds of it she would have ran away from home to. But she was adopted and raised by a caring Mother, but that also left Elayne alone.. That part even though it was not her fault made her feel bad. Cora then smiled at Elayne. " Glad your living out your dream, You have guts to follow your dreams Elayne even though.. "Mother" did not want you to. She has no right to try to take your dream away from you. I hope you can travel someday with out her looming over you,. Heck if I can help I will, and I wont take no for answer. That's what sisters are for right?" Cora guessed seeing as she just found out she had a sister and all. [/scrolly]
