Seth paused at the entrance to the cave. He could already tell from looking down in its mouth that the caverns were going to be dark. He would need a source of light to see where he was going. He didn't have any electric types or pokemon that could light up. Seth did have his gible, though. He took a pokeball from his waist, threw it up into the air and watched as Velocity materialized. The little dragon type stood at his heels, looking around warily.
Seth looked around the area quickly and found exactly what he needed for this adventure. On the ground not far from the cave he planned on starting in was a stick. He bent down and picked it up. It was dry, thick, but not too long. Then a few feet from the stick he saw was a piece of cloth. Seth grabbed it between two fingers and held it up for inspection. It appeared to be a torn piece of fabric covered in dirt. From what article of clothing it was, Seth couldn't distinguish. "Looks like someone had some rough sex here." He commented with a chuckle, wondering if whoever owned this piece of clothing was still around.
He wrapped the rag around his stick a couple times then tied it off. Looking at his handy work for a moment, Seth felt proud. He had explored caves before in Kanto like Mt Moon. He could at least see in that place, so this kind of cleverness wasn't necessary. These dark narrow caves would be a new experience for him, and he was looking forward to it.
"Flamethrower the tip of his stick, Velo." Seth held the stick out to his gible. She took a deep breath then let out flames which lit the stick nicely. Seth held it up, it was now a fully-functioning torch. "Now that's what I'm talking about." He swung the flaming torch around playfully then headed toward the cave.
Velocity hopped behind Seth. The trainer looked back at his pokemon with a smirk, "You gonna be able to keep up?" He asked teasingly. Seth didn't really feel like carrying his Gible with one hand. As if to prove that she could, Velocity hopped at a faster pace, going ahead of her trainer. "Well alright then." He said then continued on. The pair began their descent into shadows.

Not far off from where Seth was walking, approximately fourteen Aron ran by in what one could only think to be as a herd. They were small pokemon yet powerful in the clumps that they were running in. At the very end of this herd, an Aron stopped, surprised by the light, and turned her head to stare at the light for a few seconds as though memorized by it. Around the neck of the Aron, something shimmered off the light of the torch.

Seth had found his way to these caves for a few reasons. One purpose for wandering aimlessly through the dark was training his Gible, Velocity. She was a small, nervous thing and he hoped that when she evolved she might be more fierce and secure. Seth also thought that Gabite appeared much more fearsome than their pre-evolution. Sure, Gible was a dragon, but hardly. It was essentially a large mouth with arms and legs. Once Velocity evolved she would be much more impressive.
Another, apparently easier goal of Seth's was to catch more pokemon. He missed having a whole team of hulks at his side. With his only fully evolved pokemon being tyranitar, Seth figured he had to start somewhere. Caves were always good spots to find strong, hardy pokemon. Their environments often forged just the kind of beasts Seth desired.
Aron was one of his targets, he knew they were fairly common in these caves. He was feeling quite lucky at the moment, seeing many many aron just pass by. Their fully evolved form, Aggron was a creature to be reckoned with and the idea of possessing one was just too good to pass up.
Seth looked down to the aron that had stopped to look at him, and then to his Gible. "Flamethrower." He told Velocity calmly. The female gible stepped forward then released a great plume of flames from her mouth.

The Aron's eyes grew as the fire shot at her. Using Harden in order to be able to take the flames, the female Aron quickly used Mud Slap to throw at the flames in order to make them stop. She was burned a fraction, yet the Harden had proved to put up an adequate defense for her. Looking off to where her group had gone, the Aron suddenly realized they had just kept moving without her. She looked back a fraction and seemed to start to try and flee from the fight and get back to her herd.

Not wanting to let his intended capture get away, Seth had to do something fast. Or rather, something faster than the aron which moved relatively slowly. So actually he could take his time deciding what to do. Not wanting to let the aron gain any distance, regardless of how much, Seth decided to make a move. "Use sand tomb to trap it."
Velocity growled then sent a sandstorm in the direction of the steel type. With luck the attack would make it impossible for the aron to escape and cause damage as well. The sand flew quickly at the aron, most likely not doing much to its steel hide.
Seth predicted that the aron would be able to cope with the sandstorm, so he ordered another attack on the pokemon. "Now use dragon pulse." The dragon attack burst from Velocity's gaping mouth. The powerful shock wave would surely make a dent in aron's defenses.

Trapped by the sand, the Aron turned around just as the Dragon Pulse was shot at her. A sudden irritation hit the Aron and she quickly used Iron Defense in order to take most of the damage without pain. She was a hardy pokemon and built largely for defense instead of attack. This was a double edged sword in the end for it made her attacks a lot weaker. Retaliating with Metal Claw, the Aron made a slash towards the dragon pokemon in an effort to do damage... or to scare it off... or both.

Seth didn't like that Velocity's attacks didn't do as much damage as he would have liked. The bright side was that this aron had a powerful defense and would be an asset to his team. Most of his pokemon were built for attack rather than defense, so having a steel type would prove to be an interesting change of pace.
Seeing the aron charging up a metal claw attack, Seth decided to play by its game and go for defense. "Use protect when it goes in to attack." The dragon pokemon raised a forcefield around herself, preventing the metal claw from hitting. With Velocity protected from the attack, he could now try to inflict damage. "Now use dragon rush." Velocity snarled menacingly then charged forward in a powerful tackle.

Tackled by the Dragon Rush, the Aron was shoved back a fraction. However, her defense was still high, and it only did mild damage. Using Iron Defense once more to raise her defense even higher, the Aron used it three times over and then went for a Water Pulse attack. The water was rather weak, but her defense remained high in case of any other attack.

If the aron's defenses were extraordinarily high, then Seth would have to hit it with extraordinary strength. He knew Velocity could pack the punch needed to weaken the aron just enough. Her dragon moves were incredibly powerful and could be more than a match for the aron. "Dodge and use outrage!" The gible was surprisingly face and agilely avoided being sprayed by the weak blast of water. After its evasive tactic, Velocity went in for a rampage that would go on for a while. Seth anticipated that once Velo was done with her outrage attack, he would throw a pokeball.

The sudden stark attacks that were launched at the Aron over and over again due to the Outrage caused the Aron to be forced back over and over again. However, she was a stern type and continued to raise her defense every chance she got. However, it was still depleting none the less, and she found herself finally hitting a wall and becoming mildly dizzy.

Satisfied that it's strength was depleted enough to try to catch it, Seth grabbed an empty sphere from his belt. "Nice going, Velo." He complimented his pokemon who was now confused and fatigued as a result of the outrage. No matter, Seth would keep the aron busy with a pokeball while Velocity snapped out of her current state.
He wound up like a pitcher in a world series game, almost putting out the torch by mistake. Then Seth flung the pokeball toward aron at a high speed. To be honest he doubted it would hold, but he had a few extra where those came from and there weren't many other pokemon in this cave that he had his eye on.

The pokeball snapped open and consumed the Aron before it hit the ground and started to twitch methodically. The pokeball twitched once... twice... a third time... yet after that it remained silent and the Aron was caught. The sounds of the other Aron down further in the caves could be heard as a soft hum in the background of the caves themselves. As if on the cue of some unknown sound, a horde of Zubat began to brush through the caves and out towards the nearest exits.

Seth was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to catch aron. After he retrieved the now-occupied pokeball Seth re-attached it to his belt. He couldn't wait to battle with the pokemon he would call Alkaline and make it evolve. As a lairon she would be formidable, and then as an aggron, unstoppable. He would train the steel type in its element - defense, but he would also make sure its attack power was strong as well.
He heard the zubat activity somewhere in the cave and did his best to stay away from it. The last thing he needed was a zubat to the face. He had no interest in the bat pokemon, and wished to simply let them be. With torch in hand, the trainer journeyed confidently through the cavernous maze. He didn't care if he lost his way, because one of all of his pokemon could get him out if necessary. He mentally decided on his tyranitar, Chaos, because it's always fun to see him destroy shit.

The cave system rumbled a fraction as though something were moving through it. This stirred up a group of Geodude who had been resting peacefully in clumps not far from where Seth had just caught the Aron. Twisting around, the Geodude, in an eoffort to get away from whatever was coming, started to moved on top of each other and climb away.

The rumbling unnerved the gible and she wanted to be safe in her trainer's arms. Seth wasn't about to honor that request because he had a torch to hold.
"You're fine, Velo. Chill out." He tried to soothe his pokemon without having to carry her. He grabbed at a wall to steady himself, not wanting to lose his footing. The shaking of the caverns greatly interested Seth, much more so than the climbing geodudes.
He wondered what it was that could make such a disturbance. Seth imagined a large pokemon stomping through the cave and punching through walls. Badass..He thought with a grin. The trainer continued walking, a bit hurried now. He wanted to see the beast that could shake a mountain.

The shaking only seemed to increase as one went further down into the caves, and the pokemon that rested were quite unnerved to say the least of things. A Ryhorn came running up through the cave and towards Seth in order to get away from the shaking before the cave collapsed or something of the like. The Geodude were rather unnerved and were starting to move around even more only seeming to add to the shaking that was now all but rocking the caves.

Seth's immediate reaction was to get out of the way of the rhyhorn, but it was tempting to catch it. Rhydon were powerful pokemon to have, but he had so many rock and ground types already. He decided to continue searching for the source of the quaking and possibly come back for the rhyhorn after. Velocity hissed quietly as the rhyhorn passed, not wanting it to be so close to her.

The Ryhorn continued to run up the cave system and seemed to disappear to wherever it went. The Zubat were upset now by the rocking of the cave systems and were starting to swarm around each other in confusion due to their echo location being thrown off by the rocking and movement of the cave. Several rocks fell in front of Seth's way blocking his immediate path. However, there was another part of the tunnel that branched off not too far away. Would he continue on this path by moving the rocks or try the other path?

Seth hoped that he'd be able to find the rhyhorn, or a different one later. The caves were so complicated that the chance of seeing the same pokemon twice was slim. He jumped back slightly when the rocks came crashing down. He shielded his face with an arm and waited for the debris to settle. Seth was undaunted by the challenge that the rocks posed. He grabbed a pokeball from his belt and quickly threw it into the air.
Chaos the tyranitar appeared with a roar, wondering why his nap was interrupted. He looked to his trainer Seth for an explanation. "Chaos use your strength to push these boulders out of the way." The large pokemon went to work moving to rocks. It did it without expending much effort for the rocks moved easily. Once they were out of the path, Seth returned both his pokemon to their pokeballs and continued onward.
((OOC: Didn't the aron have something around its neck?))

((bleh I forgot lol... let me see...if I can work this...))
The small sphere of iron that had been around the Aron's neck had fallen off and was rolling down the cave and through several small openings. It continued to roll faster due to the constant motion of the cave and made several moves through the holes in the rock. As the ball continued to roll, it eventually hit a sleeping pokemon. Said pokemon, unaffected by the rocking of the cave to begin with, opened his eye and stared at the iron for half a second for his eye caught sight of something moving boulders on the other side of where he lay. The Cubone sat upwards and picked up the Iron Ball just as he saw the last bolder get cleared by what appeared to be a Tyranitar. The Cubone's eyes grew but shrank again as he saw it was returned to a pokeball. Backing out of the way of the man that appeared to be coming through, The Cubone did his best to hide both himself and his new found treasure of the sorts.
The cave continued to rock over and over again to the point many pokemon were worried that it really was going to collapse. Many made breaks for the exit An Ekans slithered along on her own way out of the cave. She was on the move to get out just in case the cave decided to bring itself completely own. Other pokemon including the horde of Aron from before took this measure and began heading out.
Deep within the cave... something was shaking the entire cave itself.
