BRENDEN

Kite saw the psybeam aimed at him, but this time was able to get out of the way. Feeling the sun beat down on his wings, even in the shade it was still hot out here. However, that thought didn't stay in his mind long, as he formed a wing attack, and flew down to rush at the Lunatone.

Shock watched as the bird got struck by the attack, but came right at her for another attack. She was a bit puzzled as to why it would use an attack like that after being hit with a thunderbolt. The little lamb couldn't get out of the way fast enough, and was hit by the bravebird, but right away let out another thunderbolt.

[Maid Melody]

The lunatone was hit by the wing attack and fell to the ground, unconscious.

The staraptor's brave bird had cost it dearly, making it take damage on top of the thunderbolt. As a result, the staraptor was flying a little slower now and wasn't able to avoid the second thunderbolt. Electricity rippled across the staraptor's body, as result of the thunderbolt's paralysis effect. Now frozen in mid-air, the staraptor crash landed and lay there for a while, trying to get up but to no avail.

BRENDEN

Brenden watched as both attacks hit, and the Lunatone was knocked out right away, and soon the staraptor came down to the ground. Shock came back over to him, while Kite stayed in the air, watching both pokemon to make sure that they didn't get back up. He didn't wait long, before tossing two pokeballs at the fallen pokemon. He wondered if they would fight with each other, even though he caught them, would that battle stay with them forever. He shooke his head, he wouldn't worry about that right now.

[Maid Melody]

The pokeballs hit both pokemon simultaneously and sucked the two inside of them. The ball that hit the lunatone shook once and then lay still with a DING that indicated the pokemon was caught.

Ability: Levitate
Personality: Calm and relaxed, this lunatone is not easily riled up. More often than not its actions border on lazy as it loves to take naps and generally won't listen to its trainer if it is woken up from one. The lunatone has a phobia of staraptors and will cower in fear if it seems one, unable to do anything much less listen to its trainer.

The pokeball that staraptor was caught in burst open after the first shake with an angry cry. Taking off once again, the staraptor charged at Kite with an aerial ace attack.

BRENDEN

Brenden watched as the Lunatone was caught, but soon the staraptor burst out of its ball, and back into the air. This time it attacked Kite with a flying type attack that hit, but didn't have much of an affect on him. Though Kite was tried and flew back down to the ground, landing next to Shock who looked ready to fight again. "Use your thunderbolt again Shock." He watched his lamb pokemon let lose another attack, and saw the shock on its face that the bird pokemon had broken free.

[Maid Melody]

The staraptor avoided the thunderbolt and turned to face Shock with hate-filled eyes as it dived the mareep, using close combat once it got close enough.

BRENDEN

Shock let out a cry as the attack hit her, and quickly tried to put some distance between her and the attacking pokemon. Looking at the staraptor, she let out another thunder bolt, hoping that this time it would hit the bird pokemon. She watched as Kite kept his own distance from the inraged staraptor, and she wished that she could do the same thing. A bit more timid in nature then Somber was, Shock didn't like to face pokemon, that seemed to have a hate for her.

[Maid Melody]

The staraptor was about to dodge the attack when paralysis took effect once again and the thunderbolt struck it, causing the staraptor to crash land. The staraptor lay there, unmoving, unconscious at last.

BRENDEN

Shock let out a sigh when the bird pokemon came down, and didn't attack anymore. She watched as Brenden threw the pokeball again, and quickly ran over to his side, with Kite behind her. Finally, being able to gathering his energy back, Kite went back into the sky, looking around, and soon flew into one of the older buildings here, looking around to see if anything was there at all.

[Maid Melody]

The pokeball hit the staraptor and sucked the bird pokemon inside in a beam of red light. The ball started to rock back and forth once...twice...three times before...DING the ball lay still. The staraptor had finally been caught!

Personality: Bold and courageous, this staraptor will never back down from a challenge and often seeks out chances to battle other pokemon. Not one to trust easily, it will take some time on his trainer's part to earn this staraptor's respect and trust.

A wind blew through the city as a sandstorm began to pick up.

[Ryder]

BRENDEN

He hardly had time to think about the caught Staraptor, since a sandstorm quickly came up. Following Kite, he ran into one of the old buildings, Shock at his heels. Once inside the old building he looked at Shock and Kite, Shock walked deeper into the building with Kite following, and soon Brenden went with them to. He sighed, just his luck to get stuck in a sandstorm, but then again it was better then the mess Ryder had been in a few days ago.

[Maid Melody]

Inside the old building, was a charmander huddled in a corner trying to escape the sandstorm that was still howling furiously outside.

[Ryder]

BRENDEN

Brenden had been looking ouside when he saw Shock coming back, and heard her let out a cry. He looked back to see Shock looking at another pokemon, one that he could tell what it was right away. A Charmander, and seeing it made him smile. His sister had a Charizard, which had become her trade mark pokemon. Walking closer, he sat down on the ground, looking at the Charmander, "I'm sorry, I don't have any food, otherwise I'd give it to you." He smiled, as Shock sat down on the ground, watching the pokemon like Brenden was.

[Maid Melody]

The charmander looked up at Brenden and tried to get away, only to find himself backed into a corner with eyes wide with fright.
"Char...charmander..."it whimpered, scared that the big trainer would try to hurt it.

[Ryder]

BRENDEN

Sighing as he looked at the wild pokemon, he looked at Shock who hadn't moved. "Don't worry Charmander, I won't hurt you." This Charmander did make her thing of Zane, after all he hadn't become bold, untill he turned into a Charmeleon, and had gotten a strong bond with Ryder. He looked back to see Kite resting with his eyes close, and saw Shock pawing at the ground. Outside he heard the winds blowing, kicking up the sand, and anything else it could push around.

[Maid Melody]

The charmander looked up at Brenden shyly before looking at Shock, wondering if this human was telling the truth.

[Ryder]

BRENDEN

Looking at the Charmander, and then looking back at Shock who turned her gaze on the wild pokemon. The sand storm was still wild outside, meaning they couldn't go anywhere, unless they wanted a mouth full of sand.

"Mareep!" The electric lamb gave a cry, and gave the Charmander a smile. It was seemed to be telling it that there was nothing to worry about.

[Maid Melody]

The sandstorm seemed to die down somewhat, although there was still quite a lot of sand flying around outside.

The charmander seemed to relax somewhat when Shock spoke up and looked up at Brenden once again, smiling shyly.
"Char? Charmander?" it asked, wondering what they were doing in the desert.

BRENDEN

Shock flicked her tail, tilting her head a bit as she looked at the Charmander. She looked at Brenden for a few seconds, and back outside, which it seemed to be getting somewhat better. Turning her attention back to the Charmander, she smiled, "Mar, Mareep." It stated that her owner was looking for partners, to help with his travels. She had avoided saying the word capture, because it really didn't fit with Brenden. To capture was more thought of, to take against there will, but looking for partners really meant, looking for willing pokemon.

[Maid Melody]

After a time, the sandstorm finally died down enough to where it was safe to go outside once again.

The charmander tilted its head to one side, curious now.
"Char?"it asked, wondering what the mareep meant by 'partner'.
