JASMINE ROSE
Perseus snickered when the dog climbed out of the way and gave herself a shake. Getting hit with the fire fang the only thing Perseus did was give his head a shake. Soon his tail started to glow silver as he spun around to hit the fire dog with an iron tail attack. Part of him was expecting the dog to dodge so he could use his more powerful attack, but if this hit that was fine too.

The Earth Power rose up and smashed into the Pikachu sending him flying forwards as well. "Chu....." he sighed somewhat depressively at being hit by the attack but didn't seem to retaliate. Instead, he sat himself straight upwards again and sat down on the rock once more looking out to the sea. The Growlithe was hit by the Iron Tail, yet his type made him resistant to the attack. Taking in a sharp breath, the Growlithe released a Flamethrower back.

... Oh. Well then. Looking around a bit, Kali coughed. "That's enough, Kjaer.." she sighed; she wasn't going to wail on a Pokemon that wouldn't even glance at her while she did so.. Walking around as to skirt the other battle as best she could, Kali made her way over to the Pikachu and sat down a few yards away, Kjaerlighet lighting down back on the rock the rodent had been thrown from. "So eh..." she started, looking around with uncertainty. "What's wrong, little guy?" Her eyes flitted to his tail before the last bit, seeing it was flat before deciding her choice of word.

JASMINE ROSE
She watched as the iron tail had no effect on the wild fire dog, and sighed to herself. The flamethrower hit her pokemon, "Hit it back with dragon rush." She watched as her shiny Flygon gave a nod as he turned to use dragon rush of the Growlithe.

"Pika.....chu...." the Pikachu answered back with a rather deflated voice. The word itself translated into human tongue would have been 'waiting' but even if one had understood this, the question of what he was waiting for remained open. The Pikachu shook his head rather sadly and then looked back at the sea.
The Dragon Rush slammed into the Growlithe, and she yipped a fraction falling back before quickly forcing herself up. Growling with irritation, the fire dog formed a Flamethrower once more and shot it towards the Flygon.

Kali blinked, then glanced back to Kjaerlighet in hopes of a translation. The dragon simply blinked as well, however. Several times she started to move as if she were going to try to explain, but... Well, how could one charade 'waiting'? Finally shaking her head seeing that Kjaer couldn't help, she turned her attention back to the Pikachu. "I see," she lied.
The lights of the other battle caught her attention a minute, and Kali watched a brief exchange. She sighed and shook her head a bit. "Type advantage works better than pure stab, you know," she called to the woman nearly a decade her elder, tone more than a little condescending. How did all these trainers get by?
Attention returning to the Pikachu, she asked, "Anything I could do to help?"

She watched as the dragon rush hit the Growlithe dead on, and saw him fight back with a flamethrower. She looked over at Kali when she spoke and sighed to herself. She was right, but the water pokemon Jasmine had were all back at the lab. She only had one water type with her, and that was her Cloyster so she soon recalled her Flygon. "I left most of my water types at the lab, but." She cutt off as she let out her Cloyster, "Water pulse."

The Pikachu nodded as though fully believing that the girl had understood. "Pika pikachu..." he continued more or less stating that he was waiting for something or something to come back. "Chuu..." he sighed outwards obviously showing a negative belief that whatever was coming wasn't going to get there.
The Growlithe dodged the majority of the Water Pulse, yet even a small bit of the water caused her to cry out in pain. Irritated, she shook out her fur and formed a Take Down before charging towards the Cloyster.

She didn't seem to hear the Pikachu, however, as her jaw dropped and she looked to Jasmine with a look that said 'are you SERIOUS?' Holding this for some moments before she actually believed she was, the girl sighed. "When we get home, I'm making you a type chart. Ground, you ditz," she all but spat. Honestly, was it because she'd been learning these things in school so recently, or did others just not care? Granted, Flygon's best of its small selection of such moves was a little harder to use safely here, but there were still options that took advantage of Flygon's own typing and its opponent's.
Sighing and rolling her eyes as her attention turned back to the small rodent, she finally seemed to register his reply. Given the listless nature and lack of any indicators, however, she assumed it to be a flat no. "Are you sure?" She watched his gaze a little longer, being drawn a little by the sea herself. It really was nice.. She's grown up on the shore, so the sight and sound of waves was always especially relaxing. Thoughts suddenly jumping to something else from waves, she looked back to him. "You seem really intent on the ocean.. I've heard Pikachu are actually pretty good at learning to surf? Would that interest you?"

Jasmine narrowed her eyes on Kali when she spoke, "Any ground moves will tear this lsland apart." She spat the words out as she felt a rush of warmth come to her face. Temper, it only showed her that she was confident with her spot in the lab, that her temper had come back. "Besides water types are powerful to, and Dione could use some battle practice." She snorted when Kali talked about a type chart. She didn't need a chart to tell her what type to use. Jasmine had never had the time really to study the many types of pokemon giving her home life, but she had most of the basics down. She turned her attention to the battle and saw the wild Growlithe hit Dione with a take down attack. The think shelled pokemon seemed unfazed as it let out a surf attack on the fire dog.

Kali in turn rolled her eyes and loudly coughed something that sounded a lot like "Earth Power", but didn't respond directly; it wasn't worth her time. At the words, Kjaerlighet blinked and straightened up a bit before taking on a skeptic offensive stance. "Not YOU," she quickly clarified, and the dragon settled back down.

The Pikachu blinked at the question as to surf and then looked at the girl turning his head to one side. "Pikachuuu," he answered back as though thinking this idea over before slowly nodding and looking back at the sea. "Pika pik," he finally stated aloud before looking towards the girl and standing up fully. Turning his head to one side and then the other, the Pikachu stared for a moment. "Pikachu chu pik," he asked more or less wondering how one would go about learning such a move.
The recoil damage from the Take Down made the Growlithe growl a fraction, yet as the Surf suddenly hit her while she was close to the water type, the fire dog cried out a bit and backed up considerably. She was wet... AGAIN D< Licking at her fur for a few seconds, she breathed in and then released a flamethrower.

Kali sweatdropped a bit. "Well... I don't know how we'd do so, actually.. Other than just teaching you the way humans would learn.." She looked around the beach a bit now. There weren't really an abundance of plants of any kind on this island given the near-lack of soil, huh... "....Know anything you could use as a board?"

Jasmine only snorted and turned her attention back to her own battle, just in time to see the flamethrower hit Dione. "Use brine this time." The shell like pokemon gave her a nod before it let lose another water attack. She was glad that the water stone had helped Dione cool her temper a bit, not by a lot but enough for Jasmine to control. Now Ares, he was another story turning to a Steelix had only made the pokemon more aggressive.

"Pika...." the Pikachu answered back shaking his head a bit before looking back at the girl more or less expecting her to suggest something. The Brine attack caused the Growlithe to cry out and pull away backing up quickly and growling as she went. Finally digging into the sand, the Growlithe disappeared underground.

"Hmm." Kali thought on it for some time more, but little came to mind. What did actually spawned from a comic she'd read as a kid, and a large part of her very much doubted it would work quite like that in real life. Worth mentioning, though..? .... Actually.
With a bemused look, she looked back to the Pikachu. "I can't think of anything either." Well, nothing she was confident in. "Although... If you came along with me, we could find something elsewhere? Then come back if this precise spot is special?" she suggested, giving a soft, hopeful smile as she lied.

Jasmine watched as the dog went underground, and looked at her pokemon. It seemed a bit confused as to where the dog had gone. "Withdraw." From what she had seen it looked like the dog was going to use the move dig, which is why she had her pokemon use Withdraw. Now the Cloyster sat on the ground, with its shell closed around it, waiting for the dog to come back.

"Pi...ka?" the Pikachu asked stressing the 'ka' at the end far more than the 'pi'. Well... that would.... be.... The Pikachu looked down for a moment feeling suddenly morose again. If he did go with her, would she like him? Would she be able to stand the nature that he himself recognized as morose and quiet? He doubted it....But... if she did....or could.... well....The Growlithe came up under the Cloyster and used a Dig attack on the shell pokemon trying to send it flying in the air. She wasn't going down any time soon! Not for what that THING did to her fur D:.......

...What was that? Urgh.. Kali hated this translation game. He seemed uncertain, but about what? Leaving at all? That she'd keep her promise? She didn't want to assume anything, as the wrong reaction could cue him in as to just how little she understood, and get him questioning the rest of her words. Finally, after a few moments, Kali decided to simply be vague, moving a little closer and carefully reaching out to pet his head with a reassuring smile.

She watched as the dig attack hit her Cloyster, and sent the pokemon flying back. Dione opened up her shell and got right back up. "Water pulse." She watched as her pokemon formed up the water attack, and then shot it at the Growlithe. She took a glance over at Kali and the Pikachu before she looked back at her own battle. After this fight was over she doubted she would keep Dione out. There was a chance that she would just let Hades out, since he seemed to do best in battle.
