Kali stood at the edge of the... nest, she supposed, looking on in horror. This.... thing... It didn't even seem natural. But there was a Pokemon in here she needed. Era's tournament was approaching, and she was determined to win. "It's for the tourney," she told herself aloud. "It's for the tourney, it's for the tourney..." Repeating this under her breath, she mustered her courage and entered the cluster, cringing at every web that brushed against or clung to her.

I think that statue over there is a statement on modern life. Possibly the statement is "Well shit."

After some steps into the Hive, a Sandshrew popped up some meters in front of Kali. She blinked as she caught sight of the human, unsure what to do now.

Just barely jumping at the sight, Kali forced herself to calm as she took in just what it was and made a point to give it a good berth, uninterested. She needed to settle down.. They were just webs and bugs.. nothing scary... Just disgusting.. She shuddered slightly.

As the human avoided her, the Sandshrew wiped a nonexistent sweat-drop off her temple, jumped out of her hole, and into the thicker woods.
After some several minutes of not much activity, a loud crash could be heard from above. A few more branches broke, as a large bird fell down them a Fearow who'd miscalculated how quickly he could pull out of a dive. When he finally stopped, he was covered in webs and branches and such, and found it hard to move.

Hmm? Well, that wasn't what she was here for, but it was interesting. Finding a ball, she quickly leashed Stormy. "Thunder Wave," she ordered flatly. "Then Thunder." She figured the inaccurate move couldn't hurt given the Fearow's apparent immobility.

...I don't feel like running numbers atm. 'x3
As the Thunderwave struck, the bird jumped momentarily, before being temporarily paralyzed. He breathed hard for a few moments, finally managing to twist his head so he could see Stormy--just about as the Thunder struck.
He was already fairly weak from the fall, so the Thunder just added...well, injury to even more injury. <'I can't fight back,'> he croaked, <'I can't imagine I'm any good to train. If...if you help me out of this, somehow, I could give a fair fight, but...'> He would've shrugged if he could. <'This just...oh god it's so embarrassing...'>

Stormy didn't respond, never having been talkative in the slightest. Perhaps something to do with starting life without access to one's emotions could do that. Meh. Kali didn't seem to mind that the Fearow was rather helpless either. "Thunder again," she ordered, then brought out a Great Ball to toss at the large bird.

A loud squawk came out of the bird as it was hit again with the Thunder. As the electricity left his body, and the Fearow was able to open his eyes again he managed a glimpse of the Great Ball. <'Make her throw that! I...I don't want...I won't break it. Just...augh, I think I might've broken a wing...'> The Fearow was obviously in a lot of pain, and it was quite clear he wouldn't be able to stay conscious through any other attack, especially not Thunder.

Kali really didn't need to be told, already having planned to toss it on the next successful hit. After just a moment for the sparks to fade, she tossed the ball at the injured Fearow, feeling a little bad for its injuries, but imagining a stay in a ball should start mending them a bit.

The ball sucked in the Feearow and just a tad of the surrounding debris, and fell. It DINGed Capture Complete without shaking at all, and before it hit the ground.
CONGRATZ
Name: Species: Fearow Ability: Sniper Gender: Male Personality: This Fearow is very proud, and sometimes foolhardy. He will often enough attempt things he has no real reason he can succeed in doing, but is confident he will nonetheless. Sometimes this works out fine--other times...not so much.

Kali smirked lightly, quite pleased with the forest's gift-wrapped offering. Of course, if she was looking for birds, she'd have gone somewhere with more bird nests and less... yeah.. On that note, she recalled Stormy; it was hard enough to navigate this mess without a six-foot furry monster getting caught in every web too. Time to keep seeking her prey then...

Not far off, something was on the move through the area making little noise if any. One would have to pay attention in order to notice it. A Shedinja stopped and looked back towards the girl before turning back and continuing on.

The flash of movement only just caught Kali's eye, but when she noticed what it was-... Yes, that was very nice indeed. And how long could it take to catch a Shedinja? Eagerly, she began to fight her way through the branches after it.

The Shedinja turned back and continued to move away as thought it were oblivious to the girl following it. It continued on and around several large trees and finally stopping at the base of one tree to turn and look back again.

Kali followed, finally catching up shortly after the haunted carcass stopped. As it looked back to her, she grinned lightly. "Well hello there.." she said softly. Normally, where battle seemed easy enough- such as with the Fearow- she'd just do it rather than try talking. In this case, however, due to Shedinja's unique properties, a battle would be so easy she'd rather just avoid wasting the time if she could.

The Shedinja stared with nearly lifeless eyes back at the girl before silently bowing as though it were some sort of answer back to the girl. After this, the pokemon turned its entire body and stared off into the trees and things before looking back again.

Kali watched the carapace, honestly a little more unnerved at what little life its eyes did seem to have than the lack thereof, considering... As it looked around, Kali realized she really wasn't sure what to say. Shrugging after a moment, she decided to just go with something. "So what're you doing?"

"M....nothing really," the Shedinja answered back in a rough but still understood English. "How about you?" was the next question posed mostly out of habit rather than anything else.

Kali stopped, double-took despite already looking toward the creature, and blinked several times before fully taking it in. ...Oh. .... "Oh." Well then... ... Oh. As many Pokemon as she'd collected recently, she actually didn't have any who could speak as of yet. ...Well, there was that Politoed she'd bought, technically, but he seemed more like a trained bird than anything, only saying- or more often singing- select things. Plus he was a little creepy, so she'd kept him stored away in a box for the most part. So... "Well, I'm looking for interesting Pokemon, honestly.." This was.. odd. But convenient; no complaining, eh?

"Ah, have you had any luck?" the Shedinja asked back in somewhat of an interested voice. Hovering a bit close towards the human now, the Shedinja stared more with the all but lifeless eyes.
