The girl half-smirked and tilted her head. "Well, yes. Most humans I know would consider Shedinja pretty interesting, especially to just bump into like this." Compared to her past conversations with various Pokemon, Kali was deciding she definitely preferred this. "And I don't see many Pokemon who can talk, honestly."

The Shedinja seemed to chuckle to itself and then stared at the girl. "I don't consider myself interesting, but it is nice to be thought interesting of," the ghost type answered back. "So then.... were you considering asking me to come with you seeing as..." It broke off a moment as though not really wanting to press the issue too much.

She smirked a bit, surprised he seemed to be offering. "Absolutely not," she snarked. "Why would I possibly want a rare and potentially powerful Pokemon who can also hold conversation? That would be crazy talk." She laughed lightly.

'Heh... I see," the Shedinja answered back rather thoughtfully. "Do you travel often?" The ghost being was becoming more and more intrigued by the human and wondering if she would answer his questions.

She smiled more easily then. "Well, I live in the desert and I'm out this far alone, neh? It varies, but I think I get out often enough." Just as long as he wasn't interested in heading up north. Excluding the occasional event like the ball some time back, she would really be just fine avoiding that full section of the country indefinitely.

The Shedinja seemed to take this into his thoughts and nodded a bit. "I see," he answered back. "The desert...what is it like? I have heard the term but never been there myself."

Hm? Kali thought on this a little. "Hot," she answered after a moment. "Wonderfully hot- much nicer than these cool forests, if you ask me. And.." Heh. There wasn't really much to say, was there? "Sand. Lots and lots of sand.. Heh. It's not a lot to look at, I guess, but it has its little wonders tucked away: oases and ruins and the like." She smiled and hummed contently. "Even without those, though.. I don't know, I just love it~"

The Shedinja seemed to nod thoughtfully at this and then oddly seemed to smile. "I see," he answered back. "It is very nice to love something. I'd like to see a desert like that of what you explained, sometime." The Shedinja mused a bit to himself and then fell silent as though thinking about something. "So then you are planning to go back there, yes? Would... you mind if I came along?"

She blinked a bit in surprise, then half-smiled, surprised there was still question. Hadn't she said that already? Or maybe Pokemon- or just this one?- didn't understand sarcasm much. Heh. "Well it's home, so of course," she answered lightly as she dug out a PokeBall. Holding it out to him, she added, "And I'd love if you would~"

The Shedinja seemed to nod rather happily at this and then moved towards the girl with the pokeball in hand "Well then~ I'll go with you," the Shedinja asserted after another moment before pressing on the ball and disappearing inside.
Name: Species: Shedinja Gender: Male Ability: Wonder Guard Personality: Extremely intelligent and capable of human speech, this Shedinja thoughts deeply and often questions everything around him with a calm assertiveness. He's extremely gentle around other pokemon, and even in battles he wishes to only finish a battle quickly in order to spare other pokemon the pain.

Kali grinned lightly, then actually found herself a bit disappointed when the ball ported away. She'd have to take him along with her some from now on; he might be good company~ But she still had her primary target to find, didn't she.. Well, moving right along then.

Not far off, what appeared to be a melody started playing gently. A Kricketune in a tree a few meters off seemed rather at peace with herself as she played. A Combee could be seen a bit closer to Kali flying in the opposite direction of her yet not appearing to take notice of the girl. A Beedrill buzzed somewhere far off, yet it was hard to tell where it could possibly be at that point.

Kali twitched a bit at the buzzing of the bees, unsure just what kinds were there past the one she could see, but certain she heard at least two if not more. Beh... out of sight, out of mind. She made a bit of a point to divert her path more away from the sound, then, not at all keen on the idea of running into an actual hive. The Kricketune's melody was more soothing, however, though she cared to catch it almost as little as to stop the sound. They weren't too bad of fighters, and fully evolved, but she'd already been distracted more than she'd planned, and bugs in general tended to sell well only among a select market, excluding a few certain species. She continued on, then, simply enjoying the sound as she continued searching.

Not far off, three Zigzagoon chased each other in a light game. Not far off, a Heracross was rubbing his horn on a tree appearing to bend the tree itself.

Kali smiled at the Zigzagoon, laughing silently. They were pretty cute, she had to admit. Still, she already had a Linoone she could breed if she wanted some. ..Not that she was good for anything else, for that matter. The stubborn little menace was nigh-impossible to work with even if Kali didn't have far better options, and she wasn't likely to be bought with a personality like that either. Just as the girl began to move on, then, she noticed the Heracross.
...Oh. Well that was more interesting. Again not what she came for, but that bug was certainly powerful enough to fetch a hefty price, if she didn't decide to keep it for herself. Granted, her opinion may have been a tad biased, given how fond she'd become of the Sneasel family recently and the fact Heracross were pretty well their born killer, but still. She debated whether to approach peacefully or aggressively, but with another look at that axe of a horn and the sudden mental image of being charged by various other Pokemon, she decided not to take any chances.
...Well, maybe some chances. She needed to train, after all, and this would be as dangerous as advantageous. Eh, why not? Finding a ball, she released an abnormal party member: her Abra, Helen. "Psycho Shock," she ordered.

The fact that Fighting types had a disadvantage to Psychic attacks and the fact he wasn't expecting it caused the Heracross to go flying from the attack. Hitting another tree not far off, the bug pokemon blinked in pure shock at what had happened. However, after a moment, he seemed to tense and shook his horn and head. Forming a Megahorn, the Heracross charged towards the Abra.

Kali facepalmed as her precise fear came to pass almost immediately, and the Abra went flying high, catching in a web before falling a few levels down and sticking to a rather low branch. Well, that would take all of a strong breeze to blow her over now.. Still, she needed to fight. If she'd just evolve already, she could Disable the move and end a massive amount of the threat, but it would still be a little time at least- more if fights kept going like this.. Bbbaaaahh. "Swagger," she reluctantly ordered. "And Guard Swap." At least the limited mobility of her position didn't limit Helen's attack choices too much.. Kali shuddered lightly and prayed she wouldn't regret boosting her foe's attack.

The Heracross felt a sudden rush of energy but didn't even realize that he had been confused. Charging forwards with a Horn Attack, the Heracross charged again. However, in another minute, he slammed right into a tree instead of the Abra. What was going on? Was it some tactical plot? No... sadly that was not the case. The confusion had gotten the best of him this round, it appeared.

Kali sighed in relief, as did Helen once she saw he wouldn't hit her after all. "Attract," Kali ordered now, given the Heracross clearly was male. This was cheap and felt horrible; several of her Pokemon wouldn't even have complied with this sort of strategy. But if he hit her again, only the weakest of moves might not faint her, and even that only due to her higher defense obtained from trading with him.

The Attract worked like a charm, and in half a second, the Heracross seemed to stop and stare with hearts in his eyes. However, in yet another second, he charged only to hit yet another tree. Luck was definitely not on the Hearcross's side on this one.
