Alaric grimaced a bit. He'd need to go up for air soon. Bah.
Well, his eyes were beginning to adjust, so he figured he'd make the most of his time. Kingdra didn't seem to be in the open anymore, so that narrowed it down a bit. There was every chance there were some cavelets he couldn't see, but as far as what he could it would probably be easiest to hide in the weeds or the coral. Well, he could sift through more weeds faster, so.. Swimming down more, Alaric began to search.

Upon watching the human from a safe distance, the Kingdra smirked and slowly roamed forwards preparing to squirt him with a full Watergun underwater making it light at the end of the water's trek and feel more like water pressure to the human.

It was still a fair amount of pressure, it seemed, especially for one not expecting it, and Alaric lost his breath in shock at the force. Turning to see the Kingdra even as a slight panic kicked in, he began flailing his way toward the surface. Barely making it, or at least feeling as though he only just did, Alaric became caught up in an awkward mixture of coughing, gasping, and laughing. The prior two fortunately did become less frequent as he caught his breath, at least.
At seeing his trainer resurface, Glydre was filled with relief; but at seeing him having so much fun with the other male, he died just a little inside.
...Oh. This was fine. This was fine indeed... He was certain by this time his trainer planned to try capturing this little.... Kingdra... This would give him plenty of time then... Oh yes. Plenty of time indeed...

The Kingdra panicked for half a second upon seeing the man panic in the water, and he had rushed forwards as though to make sure he got to the surface. However, after seeing that the human was alright, he returned back to his watery depths.

His laugh panning down to a deep, maniacal snicker, Alaric smirked, gathered another chestful of air, and dove after the Kingdra again. This time, however, as opposed to shaking or seething, Glydre only continued a distant smile.
Under the water, Alaric again squinted and blinked until his eyes could bear the sting, then began scanning for the playful dragon.

The Kingdra looked out from behind a rock and stared up at the man not far off. Deciding to be more gentle in his game this time as to not spook the human and cause him to drown (for that was the last thing the Kingdra ever wanted), the Kingdra swam forwards and bumped Alaric with the end of his nose before starting to swim off.

A bit surprised at the change of tactics, Alaric smirked and began to swim after. ...No, he really didn't expect to catch up to the swift water-type, not in his logical mind. But then, if he PRETENDED it wasn't ludicrous to even try, it did feel like he was swimming faster~ On that thought-train, the 22-yr-old man began to imagine he was some sort of superhero, with super speed and perhaps a few awesome mind powers. Like Aquaman! ..Hey, haters would hate, but Aquaman was a fricking badass, shut up. Silently laughing at his private game, he began willing the Kingdra to swim slower. ..No, it wasn't going to work, but it was fun!

The Kingdra eyed the man and always swam just a few yards ahead at all times in order to keep the chase going. Whether he needed to speed up or slow down to do this, the Kingdra modified his needs as he went about. This was fun, indeed.

Unfortunately, after nearly two minutes Alaric needed to surface for breath again, though it was a calmer and quicker stop this time. This time, when he went back under, he had much less trouble adjusting, and quickly began his pursuit again. He had to admit, though, between the chase the Kingdra was putting up, playing with the kids for so long, and all the walking he'd been doing prior, Alaric was getting pretty tired. It was already starting to get dark, even, not that that part mattered as much. Still, he wasn't about to give up just yet.

The Kingdra had ignored the time shift for the most part prior, yet now he was slowly remembering it. Stopping and turning around, he watched the man for a moment before surfacing himself and calling out a "Kingdra," call before starting to swim in the water lightly. Moving towards the man, the Kingdra stopped alongside him and made a motion as though asking if he wanted a ride back to shore or not.

Blinking in surprise, Alaric resurfaced with Kingdra, and smiled gratefully at his apparent offer. Cautiously, he extended a hand, gently grabbing the beast's back and fin, tightening his grip more once he was sure Kingdra was all right with it. Once that felt all right, he may have sort of clung to the water dragon, in what may have been something of a hugging fashion. ..Dragons were awesome, dammit.

Once he felt the grip, the Kingdra began swimming through the water back towards shore with an easy pace as not to have Alaric accidentally lose grip or something of the like. Once in the shallow areas once more, the Kingdra stopped a half meter before shore and looked at the man with a calm stare. There was something about the man he just couldn't place. Maybe it was just the idea that what appeared to be an adult was having fun and had played with him.

Back at shore, Honey and now Glydre were waiting, along with his things including all spare PokeBalls. Now would be a time to catch the Kingdra, but... As he let go and looked out at the ocean, set aflame by the glorious sunset (not that he didn't melt over every seaside sunset), Alaric found himself suddenly sad at the thought. Without turning his gaze from the scenery, he sighed to the seahorse, "Your home is amazing. ...You'd never really be happy with a life of travel and battling, would you..?"

"King-dra?" the sea dragon asked aloud wondering what he meant before looking out at the water again. It was a sea place, and he had stayed most of his life in the ocean which caused him not to really think about it until that point. Indeed, it was beautiful. After a moment, the sea dragon looked back at the man and squirted him with a fraction of water before half smirking to himself.

Alaric spurted a small laugh as he was splashed before giving a smirk of his own. Mock-leering at the Kingdra, he sunk down in the water enough to suck in a mouthful, then popped back up to squirt the dragon right back, grinning madly after and working to suppress a giggle.

Being sprayed back with the water, the Kingdra smirked and half laughed to himself before squirting the man once more. "King-king," he half laughed in the matter of some sort of joke. "Kingdra...." After a moment, he moved closer to Alaric and waist bumped him.

In response to this, Alaric just gave a light laugh and a gentle smile, then moved closer and hugged the Kingdra, just holding him for a few moments. When he began to pull away, Alaric asked, voice much softer, "Would you like to come with me...?"

The Kingdra thought on this for a moment. There would be a lot of different places to see not just the ocean and things... and it wasn't like he'd be gone for good. The sea would still be there anytime he needed it. After a moment, the Kingdra finally nodded his head at the man with a half smirk still on his face.

Caught somewhere between giddy excitement and shocked disbelief, Alaric stood..swam..whatever with mouth agape. After a moment of wondering if he'd actually seen that, and briefly debating whether a nod meant something different to Kingdra than people, he finally managed to ask, "..Are you sure? I mean-.. We've had a lot of fun today, and I'd love if you came with me.. But are you sure you want to leave all your other friends here?" Even as the words left his mouth, he realized this was really the case with any Pokemon a trainer captured, and he normally didn't make such a big deal.. But this was different!
This was not one of a great number. This wasn't the typical case of 'Hey have you seen that Horsea lately?' 'Which one?' No, people and Pokemon alike in this area were very likely to say, 'Hey, have you seen that Kingdra lately?' and no one would wonder for a moment just who they meant. It was possible enough his dragon obsession was blowing this into slightly larger proportions than in actuality, but at least to him, this Kingdra seemed.. well, a king among his stretch of ocean, or at least a prince. To become his... nah. To be chosen by him- it would be an incredible honor. But he wanted to make absolutely sure the dragon would not regret it in a week.

The Kingdra thought to himself for a moment before smirking again and suddenly making very deep bow to Alaric. There was an entire world to be seen, and he had played with many different kids over the years, yet he found it might be time to move on and see everything else. "King-dra," he answered back looking back at Alaric with a light smile now.
