[ Delilah ] Delilah blinked a bit at the question, but then just smiled softly and shrugged. "Rabbits," she answered simply. Lots, and lots, and lots of fucking rabbits- most of which were not cut out for fighting. "A Flygon and a few other things." One of which was hanging from her neck. "Mostly rabbits," she repeated fondly. She nodded toward the sleeping Shiny then. "Your little baby there made me realize how much I need to find an Audino, too.. But anyway.. You~?" she again cooed. Faith stared at Delilah for a moment in disbelief, and it was all she could do not to facepalm. Rabbits? Freaking rabbits? Well, so much for her pokemon being usef--Wait what? She had a Flygon? Delilah had the single most amazing dragon type in existence and it was an afterthought. She took it all back; this was going to be painful.
Faith bristled when Muffy was referred to as a 'baby,' gritting her teeth at the cooing tone. She wasn't sure if Delilah hadn't caught on that it pissed her off, didn't care that it pissed her off, or was continuing to do it because it pissed her off. However, having the question turned back on her caused her to yet again adopt one of her smirks, mostly because she was hoping for something along the lines of revulsion from the Empress of all Bunnydom.
"Bug types," she answered, with a hint of pride in her voice. Purebred, hybrid, normal, specially-coloured, it didn't matter. She'd loved creepy-crawlies since the day she'd first met Prism those years ago. "And a Dragonite. And Muffy there." She gave a vague gesture toward the sleeping Audino. Maybe knowing the pokemon's actual name meant Delilah would use it, instead of things like 'cuddlebunny.' Unlikely, especially when Faith herself tended to favour the nickname of 'Sad Eyes,' but it was worth a try.
Faith glanced at her empty glass, having no real desire to ask for it to be filled again. "Got her from a pokemon dealer," she added, then shrugged. "Could talk to her if you want one that badly." She wasn't being nice. She was being practical. A second healing pokemon on the job would reduce stress on Muffy, so helping Delilah find someone to buy one from would help Faith in the long run, depending on how long their superiors wanted them to do this idiotic partner thing. That was what the blonde kept telling herself, at any rate.

Fighting back a chuckle, he simply messed with the glass he was cleaning a bit more. The Flygon...Lyall was sure he had known about Delilah having it at some point but couldn't quite remember when it had ever been stated. Regardless, it made him remember that he needed to catch a dragon type or something at least. They were powerful creatures, heh.
As the conversation then switched to Faith, Lyall had made a quick guess as to what Faith carried. Given the Audino he'd seen, Lyall assumed her list of pokemon would probably be as girly as Delilah's. However, that got kicked out as Faith talked about bugs. Though he tried not to show it, Lyall mentally cringed a little at them. He was far from fond of such creatures but reassured himself he could tolerate them and wasn't going to give up on such reassurance. As Faith went on, Lyall had to fight the urge to face/palm. Shorty here had a dragon too? =_= Some obscure hint of jealousy twinged in Lyal. [/scrolly] |

[ Delilah ] Lilah fought the urge to shudder herself, managing to tone it down only to a small and quickly fleeting sneer. Bugs. Ugh. She wasn't the girl who was going to jump up in a chair at the sight of a roach (partially because said chair may break but shut up), and Bug Pokemon were a little better than the nasty little things that hid in walls and floorboards but... Uckh. Well, maybe she was lucky. Maybe it'd be some nice bugs. Butterfree, Beautifly, Mothim, or the fireflies.. perhaps some more knightly things like Scizor and Escavalier. Maybe a Leavanny, which, due to its awesome plant traits, was probably Delilah's favorite Bug-type (though its smaller forms were really cute, making it a close call). ... Of course, given her luck, it was probably more like Ariados, Beedrill, Pinsir, and Scolipede. Uuugh. Well, a Dragonite did sound nice, and she was just loving little Muffy so far. Maybe if all Faith's Pokemon were so opposite in demeanor from their trainer, she'd like them whatever they- wait what was this? "Oh," she half-exclaimed. Well that was certainly unexpected, and the woman had to admit she was actually pretty caught off guard by this. "Ah, sure, that could work. ..Assuming her prices are right." Admittedly, Delilah bought most--... Okay so she'd caught Cyn and Prim. Delilah bought all of her rabbits. She swore she was going to start breeding them someday and both expand her collection on her own and actually turn all that investment into profit, but... The poor babies were just so cute and how could she ask them when they were all practically family and-- RIGHT MISSION NOBLES YES. Setting her thoughts rather forcefully back on the proper track, she went on, "But that's a topic for another day. I suppose if we're not going to-" Ooh what might a Lopino look like? "-exchange any information here, we should just determine when we're going to be heading out? Any business you need to take care of in town or preparations to be made?" She thought over what she knew of their target, trying to answer those questions herself in her head. "Maybe anything specific you think I should plan for, if you won't tell me why to plan for it?"[/blockquote]

Faith caught that sneer, and it was quite satisfying to the sadist in her. She wondered what Delilah would do the first time Willow appeared, given that the black spider was pretty creepy, even by the standards of someone who adored insects. And also would probably play it up just to be a bitch. Faith was more-or-less aware of the fact that Willow hated her, and she really had no warm and fuzzy feelings toward the spider either, but damn if they didn't occasionally have overlapping senses of humour.
Faith shrugged a little at the mention of price. Bianca could be reasonable in her pricing most of the time, and she was generally willing to drop them a little for people she knew (or at least she claimed such; Faith still thought she'd been lying through that grin about the 'discount' on Muffy). Hell, Delilah could probably get the cost cut more than Faith ever did just by...doing what she did best.
Faith managed once again not to show much of an outward sign of her discomfort at that idea, and she steered her train of thought back on track she considered what Delilah asked her. She had a set team for this kind of thing, and they were pretty well prepared for anything. Though, something she'd seen in the information regarding Miguel's pokemon did give her one idea. And she really needed to grab that jackass at the pool table and threaten her money out of him. "I've got an errand or two to run, but as long as you don't want to leave now, I should be ready when you are."
As for other the question, she continued with, "And if luck screws us over and this goes worst case scenario? From what I know 'bout this guy, be ready for fire, regular and the dragon kind. And he's got a 'baby' too." She made a very small motion toward Muffy, not bothering to hide her distaste at the use of word to describe her. "And he'll probably have a blade on him." Those were the only red flags she'd gotten from the information she had on Miguel. "Anything about the terrain I should be ready for?" Faith would have to hide herself along with a few pokemon, and if they were working with a flat plain or something that would make things more difficult.

For the love of.... =_= Even their target had a dragon? -x-; No he was not jealous of course not who told you? Shaking his head and chuckling a bit, he sighed a moment trying not to get himself too worked up. It wasn't like he couldn't go out and catch a pokemon or something.
Hmmm terrain...
"Mountains in the north, deserts in the south, water and beaches in the west, and woods in the east," he hummed a bit as he cleaned off his bar habitually. "And ... flat land in the very heart of it." He doubted that whoever they were going after was so close as the capital, but then again who knew? Well those higher up knew, of course, as well as Delilah, probably. [/scrolly] |

[ Delilah ] Delilah took mental notes at Faith's description, trying to paint a picture in her head of what they might be up against... although, admittedly, dragons and an Audino was sounding a little more intriguing by her taste than anything. Well.. Faith had said she should like what she saw... Heh. She knew it was better not to get her hopes up, though, and pushed that thought aside for now. At Lyall's comment, she chuckled. "Too true," she half-sighed in response. Smirking sideways at Faith, she added, "Which means too much terrain info could tell you which direction to head~" Overly cautious? Maybe a bit. Intentionally fucking with the girl's head? Oh yes. Taking her dear sweet time, she placed a finger to her still-smiling lips and looked off innocently with a little "Hmm.." She legitimately was trying to think of something she could tell the poor little thing without giving away too much. Finally coming up with something, the finger shifted more to her cheek. "Boots will be good." That could have been for many reasons, but specifically the stickers and such in any underbrush they may have to be in could prove unpleasant. "Or close-toed shoes at least. And pants." Her eyes shifted back to Faith, though the rest of her did not. "It's a bit of a trek, but not too terribly far." Then again, having Prim did rather affect Delilah's perception of 'terribly far'. She smiled sweetly for just a moment and gave a very small 'hee~' of a laugh before dropping this completely and returning to her drink. Finishing the rest, she looked to the glorious once-knight behind the bar. "Lancer, love. Get me an Irish Car Bomb, will you~?" Their conversation looked to be coming to a close anyway. Faith had a completely deadpan expression on her face when the bartender spoke up again. That's not what I meant, you ass. She looked at Delilah with the exact same flat expression, not giving so much as a facial muscle twitch as she went on. Well, all that was completely useless. "I meant more if I was going to have an easy time hiding my pokemon, or if I have to get creative," she stated, "Something relev--Oh, hell no! Don't you freaking dare, Keith!" Faith nothing short of whipped around on her barstool, directing her sudden outburst toward someone other than her partner.
It turned out that the young man with long hair at the pool table had seemed to finally realize who that little blonde was, and she'd caught him going for the door out of the corner of her eye. The man, at least a foot taller than Faith and dressed in a leather jacket, froze in terror for only a brief moment before bolting out the door like he had Darkrai on his tail.
Faith growled and turned back around. "Goddammit. That asshole's been dodging me for weeks." She looked at her empty drink. Still probably not a good idea to get a refill, but she was much more tempted this time. She flicked her eyes Delilah's way. "And don't even say it." Faith didn't elaborate on what 'it' was, mostly because she wanted to cover as much in regard to potential comments as she could, though she expected that what was on her partner's tongue, if anything, was a variation of 'can't imagine why.'

However, as his eye slid towards Faith a moment, Lyall had to suddenly fight off the sudden fit of laughter that was threatening to escape him due to her expression. Managing to distract himself by the order, Lyall nodded, turned around, and started to go through his shelves pulling out what he needed before taking out a fresh glass and starting to pour it out. However, the sudden bark of Faith was enough to cause Lyall to go on edge, and his hand twitched slightly. Stopping his pouring, Lyall looked up just in time to watch a man run out. Oi... there wen't a customer..... Mentally sighing before going back to the preparation and finishing of the drink, Lyall set it before Delilah.
Though Faith had directed an order to not comment to Delilah -and possibly him in turn? - on what had just transpired, Lyall sighed. "Run man run," he joked if a bit dryly smirking to himself despite what the possible outcome of this was. [/scrolly] |

[ Delilah ] Delilah rolled her eyes a bit at Faith's elaboration. If she'd wanted to know that, she should have asked. As if she was supposed to magically know that she wasn't concerned about her own trek when asking about terrain. Such a silly little girl, though while Delilah was certain that fact was going to grade on her sanity in time, she planned to do her best to keep it amusing for as long as she could. Before she got a chance to reply, though, or Faith had a chance to finish for that matter, the subject rapidly changed to Faith's glorious people skills. Delilah managed to fight back a chuckle at her new partner's frustration, but brought a loose fist to her face in a half-hearted attempt to hide her smirk. Lyall's dry comment turned that into a slight grin, even, though even then she had to wonder just what Faith was warning her not to say. Hmm... She shrugged anyway, not actually particularly worried. If Faith ever proved she really would back up her threats despite risk of higher-ups's reprimand, and that she could do enough damage before Delilah pinned her or that she could actually escape that, then the darker woman would think twice about completely ignoring her, but not a moment before. "You know.." she started, voice deepening a bit. She figured there was no rule stating that she couldn't be kind and cruel at the same time. "I might be able to help with that, if you wanted....~" She chuckled deeply before turning to her new drink. She gave Lyall a wink, then took the glass and downed it in a few gulps. For all that vigor, she set it back down perfectly lightly, then returned her grinning attention back to Faith. [/blockquote]

Faith shot the peanut gallery a look that she felt well conveyed the fact that she was tempted climb over the counter and deck him for that one. Not that she would, of course, him being a Rebel and all that. She had her priorities straight, at least in regard to some things.
Delilah's offer didn't get any real response other than narrowed eyes right away. If Faith were to be completely honest with herself, if she actually thought the other woman was doing anything more than having a laugh at her expense, she had to admit that someone getting that jackass to stand still long enough for her to get her hands on him was a little bit tempting. But pride was a nasty thing, especially Faith's.
However, when Delilah looked back at her, the blonde had raised an eyebrow, and her mouth twitched momentarily into that slightly psychotic smirk. "No thanks," she said with an odd calmness, "There's only so many places he can hide, after all, and I can run faster than him. Just a matter of time, really..." Getting her fill of being creepy, she added with a shrug and a sound that might generously be called almost a chuckle. "Besides, I have it on pretty good authority that he'd be a waste of your time." How or why, she'd leave to Delilah's imagination.
Faith glanced away, holding back the more real laugh that threatened to emerge. And people thought she had no sense of humour. They clearly just weren't paying attention.

Out of the corner of his vision, Lyall caught the wink, and that smirk widened. This lasted for only a few seconds as Faith's response caught him a bit off guard. Ah man... a kid's after ya...run for the hills... Lyall was probably lucky that he hadn't said this out loud, but he was only vaguely aware of this fact at the mom---......HAHAHHAHA. Lyall's face turned scarlet, at Faith's finishing comment as his imagination wandered and he had to fight off the laugh that was actually coming to him. Only realizing that he was holding his breath after a few seconds, he released it, and the poor thing, coupled with the subtle hint of laughter, ended up sounding more like he was coughing than anything. Stepping back from his bar, crossing his arms in front of himself and setting his chin on his fist, he did his best to compose himself.... which only made him look irritated, somehow. [/scrolly] |

[ Delilah ] Delilah honestly didn't really catch Lyall's awkward cough-laugh- thing, though, as she herself had ended up pausing slightly in surprise- what was this? And here she'd thought little Faith might end up being a total prude!- before letting out a laugh of her own. Hers might have been called a chuckle, yet it was both a little brighter and a little more bitter than that. "Big surprise," she muttered, rolling her eyes, though her smirk remained firmly in place. Sighing mock-dramatically, she glanced to Lyall again, either not noticing or- possibly more likely- not caring that he looked a bit irritated. "All the good boys like to play hard to get.." she pouted just as dramatically. The pouty lip that accompanied it lasted only a second or two, though, before her smirk returned and her eyes rather shamelessly skimmed him over- not nearly for the first or last time. Mmm, why did the only cool, muscular knight she knew have to be so stubborn? She didn't even require any shining armor! (.. In fact, no armor would probably be preferred.. x3 Hehe.) She seemed to have forgotten about Faith completely by this point, though if the little blonde was squirming it would be nothing but icing on a delicious cake. .. Even if the cake itself was probably a lie for as much of it as she'd ever have. Ooh, but if it didn't smell so delicious just sitting closeby~ .... And now this analogy was making her hungry, dammit. Outwardly she didn't waver just yet, but secretly she wondered if she might dig through that candy jar herself in a minute... Faith did notice the reaction, particularly that blush, and that just made her smirk all the more prominent. No, Faith wasn't a complete prude, if only because crude jokes tended to get hilarious reactions out of people...reactions she tended to have to her own discomfort, admittedly, but at least she was aware of the hypocrisy.
Speaking of her discomfort, it made another appearance tonight as Delilah decided she'd rather drool like an idiot than make conversation. Faith rolled her eyes, trying to act like the hint of red on her cheeks wasn't there as she turned her back on the counter and made a point to look anywhere but at Delilah. The blonde's eyes skimmed the area, noting a nervous glance or two in her direction, no doubt due to the recent frantic exit of her acquaintance. She wondered with amusement if he'd been telling anyone about the 'crazy bitch' who he owed money to before he noticed her sitting here.
Faith's eyes flicked back to Delilah briefly. "...Your face is going to get stuck that way someday, you know," she commented. What, no, of course her voice wasn't slightly higher than she'd intended it to be, and that blush was certainly not still on her cheeks.

Setting his hands in the pockets of his slacks, Lyall took a step back and eased his weight onto this back leg instead. "All the good boys don't play." he snarked back. He probably shouldn't have said that; it'd probably upset some sort of status more than he wanted. However, it'd already been said, and Lyall simply wasn't one to take back his words no matter how small. The irony of this, though, was that Lyally couldn't help but find himself amused by Delilah's tries. It was something humorous even if a bit annoying here and there. Even if he wouldn't exactly play her game, he wasn't going to stop her from doing it (like that was even possible, really). [/scrolly] |

[ Delilah ] Delilah raised an eyebrow at Faith briefly. "Now why would that be bad?" Really, being eternally coy? That would be epi-- great. Granted, that would make it harder to play a sympathy card, but ah well. Her eyes returned to Lyall as quickly as they left, though, and his comment soon changed her tune- though his reaction in backing up had only improved the view, really, not having so much blocked by the bar. The implications really didn't bother Delilah, though- or at least not the ones that came to mind first. She wasn't certain if she'd be alive today if she'd been a 'good girl', and certainly wasn't about to be ashamed of the fact that she wasn't. The idea that she wasn't 'good' as in quality came as such an afterthought that it was quickly forgotten as she reacted with the first thought. Her left hand rose to her forehead and swept along the right side of her head, gathering her thick hair to brush over her left shoulder. "Ohh..?" she slightly whined, leaning back and partially on her left side over the bar. From here, she had to tilt her head back a bit to look at him. The look she gave him couldn't quite be called pouty, as the eyes she gave him were far too bright. "Why do you tease me?" she, somewhat ironically, teased. "You won't even give a poor girl a chance~!" So very mock-dramatic she was; ah, that's what that look and tone were: it was like a child trying to sweet talk an authority figure for sweets (no really she seriously needed to get some candy in a minute). The soft grin to follow only helped confirm this. [/blockquote]

Delilah's question in her direction only earned a slow blink. Because it would be extremely creepy? were the words that flitted across her mind, but she just went back to trying to pretend that Delilah didn't exi--Oh for the love of God, she was some unholy mixture of a horny teenager and a spoiled five year old. Faith actually outright stared for a second in a 'what the hell is wrong with you' way, but it was fairly clear that she might as well not be there to her partner.
With a roll of her eyes, Faith hopped off her bar stool. "If you two need me, I'm going to be over there." She gestured toward one of the pool tables, before looking at her snoozing Audino and walking over to nudge her with her foot. "Up and at 'em, Sad Eyes," she mumbled.
Muffy's eyes opened and she blinked a few times. "Di...?" she trilled sleepily, looking around until she remembered where she was. When she saw Delilah, she cocked her head to one side in confusion. Was she trying to take a nap on the counter? That didn't seem very comfy.
Faith, having expected the Audino to pay attention to her, was left standing there awkwardly for a second before she just let out a small noise of frustration and walked to over to where she said she was going to go. Sure. Whatever. Ignore her. See if she cared.

[ Delilah ] Faith's reaction made it hard for Delilah to breathe, but though she was quite visibly laughing if anyone were really looking, she did manage to keep it silent. She really didn't plan on divulging any more real information and rather doubted her partner would either, so they were quite done as far as she was concerned, aside from setting up an exact meeting time to head out. Further details could always be discussed on the trip there. At Lyall's response, she just gave him a grin. "I know~" She half-lay there a few moments, then finally pushed herself back upright, whipping her hair back into place with perhaps a little more dramatic flare than was necessary. Afterward, she leaned forward to rest both arms on the bar in front of her, one laying flat and the other propping her face as she looked to him with a heavy-eyed smirk. "That's why I do it." Or for her own fun, rather, as his wasn't actually necessary, but it did make it just a little sweeter. (Like... <__<) Hm? Mission? She blinked a moment, then sniffed and rolled her eyes. "I think we're good for now." A brief moment of silence fell before she finally looked around, thinking aloud to herself. "Where did that..." There it was<3 Reaching out, she pulled the candy jar closer to her and began digging for something that looked good. She finally settled on a small hard candy figuring it would last longer, as while she would have been perfectly content to eat half the jar quite a bit, she didn't want to come off as a glutton (or pay for that much, because she was sure Lyall was putting this on her tab). Her craving mildly sated now by the sweet cherry flavor in her mouth, her thoughts turned back to more important issues. Grabbing her glass from her last drink, she held it up to her favorite bartender. "Another dear~?<3"[/blockquote]

As Faith managed to rather quickly find her way into a group of people playing pool--albeit giving the threat to stick a pool cue somewhere painful when one of the half-drunk idiots jokingly offered to lift her up 'so she could reach' during her turn--Muffy was left watching Delilah in some kind of confused fascination.
Now, Muffy could be a little niave, and her knowledge of human behaviour was coloured a bit too much by the explosive blonde she had for a trainer, but she had started to pick up, upon Delilah's hair-flip, on the fact that this was some form of...flirting? Maybe? It looked pretty cool, either way.
Muffy ran her paw along one of her ears, contemplative. Faith really didn't keep many boy pokemon, and those few were bugs anyway. Not that she didn't like bugs--plenty of them were nice--but...well, er...In fact, when she really thought about it, Muffy had never flirted. Ever. Hmm...
The shiny Audino suddenly perked up, letting out a squeak and trying to grab Delilah's attention. Assuming she got it, she tried to mimic the woman's hair-flip with her ears and then looked up at her hopefully as if to ask 'did I do it right?'
