It did look soft and pretty well kept and-- Yeah he was going to stop there. At the question of another, he just smirked and took the glass pretty gently before starting to make another drink. "Ya know I wouldn't mind goin' out for dinner or something sometime, though," he chuckled a bit before turning around and setting the glass on the bar. "Maybe some new place or something. I know there'a few places openin' here and there... guess the economy's finally lettin'em or they're just takin' a risk," he continued.

[ Delilah ] As Lyall took her glass, Delilah heard the little squeak from Muffy and looked down to-- She gasped slightly, eyes growing wide, and she found she could neither fully close her mouth nor stop smiling. The rest of the world kind of just faded out as she stared, bewildered and entranced and positively giddy from the actions of the little sparkly bunny. At last, she let out a little squeal of delight, not even noticing her drink had been set back down. "Oh my god you are the cutest thing--"Shit Lyall had been talking um--. Shaking her head violently for a moment, she blinked a few times and looked back to him, oblivious. "I'm so sorry, babe, I completely spaced. What about economy now?" It wasn't that she hadn't heard at all so much as she'd just.. sort of.. zoned out there. As she played it over in her head a few times, now... she actually did think she'd managed to pick up what he said. If she was right, part of her was really flattered (but didn't want to jump to conclusions if she was wrong).. while part of her kind of hoped he wouldn't repeat himself. Delilah's reaction made Muffy absolutely giddy, and the purple Audino grabbed her ears and half-hid her face with a slightly bashful-looking smile and a stream of giggles. It probably hadn't been a very good mimicry but that didn't matter right now. Ohmygosh she had to show Faith right now what she could do! As soon as Delilah's attention was elsewhere, Muffy waddled off in the direction her trainer had gone, still giggling faintly to herself.
Faith, quite content to be oblivious to what her partner was doing, didn't even see the purple bunny heading for her as she took her turn at the pool table. The repeated sounds of billiard balls hitting eachother, bouncing off the walls of the table, and dropping into the holes was music to her ears as she stepped back with a smirk. "Told you I could make that shot. Now pay up."
That was when Muffy nothing short of latched onto her, squeaking in delight. Faith jerked forward in surprise, very nearly unintentionally shoving the end of her pool cue up one of the guys' noses--which would have been some hilarious karma, since he was the one who'd made the crack about her height--and, once she recovered, stared down at her Audino with a blank expression.
"Oh now you decide you want to be around me?" she said a little harsher than she'd meant to. Muffy visibly winced, her ears pinning back slightly like a dog who had been scolded. Faith's expression softened after a moment and she reached out a hand to pat her on the head. "Alright. Fine. I forgive you."
Muffy perked up again and let go, hopping back a little with a happy, "Di!" that Faith was fairly sure was Audino for 'watch this.' She was proven right when she was suddenly witness to...what was that? The bizarre ear-flip earned a slightly bewildered blink, since Faith hadn't seen what her pokemon was trying to mimic. Muffy, a bit disappointed, repeated the motion, and Faith looked from her to where Delilah was sitting.
The blonde woman may not have a clue what Muffy was doing but..."Delilah, what in the hell are you teaching my Audino?" she half-hollered in the other woman's direction, not really caring if she was ignored or not. Frankly, under most circumstances, Faith would just raise a hand to nurse the forming headache and keep the comment a mental one, but maybe the drinks were kind of getting to her. Or Delilah was. It was a toss up.
As for the men at the pool table, they were starting to laugh a little amongst themselves, at least until one of them had a pool cue a little too close to his face for comfort, this time very much intentionally. "And I said pay up. Twenty Pen. Each. Fork it over."

Yeah.... Sighing, he shrugged his shoulders and shook his head. "Nah t's nothing," he replied shaking his head and offering a weaker smirk than normal. Lyall did not like being ignored, and....just.... He'd been talking damn it! Mentally kicking back a few memories that were brought up from the notion, he didn't realize he'd spaced out while staring at a glass that was hanging from the top of the bar. Physically shaking his head, he ended up smacking his chin with one of his earrings and frowning just in time to hear Fath's comment. Teaching? Hu?

[ Delilah ] Lilah legitimately frowned for a moment, rather hoping he wasn't too offended, but she didn't have long to think about it. Her name on Faith's voice quickly called her attention away again, and only now did it actually fully click that Muffy's adorable ear-flip had actually probably been mimicking her, and suddenly the little Pokemon was even cuter (if that was even possible). ...Of course, she couldn't honestly say that she didn't also take a little sick pleasure in how much Faith's Pokemon had taken to her. That was likely going to prove very fun to play on as time went on. Lost in thought again, she suddenly jumped a bit as a pool cue flew into some poor guy's face. ...Said face actually wasn't too bad (though that may have been a bit of alcohol talking). Iwjiejfoi she could think about that later. "Hang on, I've got a partner to keep in line.." she muttered to Lyall. As she stood, she finally remembered her drink and looked back to see it filled. "Thanks, by the way~" Taking it in hand, she drank a bit and then sauntered her way (a little less gracefully than before, but only a little) toward Faith. "Faith~" Putting on her slightly pouty face, she asked just a bit dramatically, "These boys aren't giving you a hard time, are they...?" Though the question was directed toward Faith, her eyes stayed on the blonde's target. [/blockquote]

Faith already had a less than friendly expression on her face, but it still managed to somewhat darken when she heard Delilah's voice. The first response that came to mind was, None of your business, followed by, Don't pretend to be my friend and Get the hell out of my face. From there the possibilities continued to incease in hostility and amount of profanity, but Faith didn't say any of them. She instead turned her head to look at her partner, her hands still holding the pool cue steady, with an irritated expression that one may give an obnoxious child that one was tempted to punt.
The man with the tip of the pool cue a milimeter away from his nose chose this opportunity to take a slight half-step back and look at Delilah with something of a grateful smile. He wasn't really afraid of this chick, but he didn't particularly want the pointy end of anything that close to his face. His friends mostly looked like they were wondering if they should laugh; on one hand, laughing was what had triggered this particular situation in the first place, but on the other, from their point of view, this was hilarious.
When she saw that Delilah was looking at her victim, Faith's eyes narrowed with a small noise of disgust and her gaze snapped back to the man, deciding that the best course of action was to pretend that the other woman wasn't even there. Holding her cue like a spear, she shifted it slightly to compensate for his movements, controlling it easily. He looked at it, then at her, and flashed an attempt at an appeasing smile. "Look...Faith, right? I really didn't mean that crack about your height..."
Faith's eyebrow quirked slightly as she gave a snort. "Get over yourself. If that bothered me, the tip of this would be somewhere a lot more painful." One of the other men gave a tiny sympathy wince. To be fair, it had bothered her, but there was a reason she was just letting the pool cue hover rather than actually hitting him with it. If he pushed her buttons too much, she'd have the courtesy to drag him outside before beating the hell out of him.
That shouldn't be necessary, however. She carefully and steadily withdrew the pool cue and changed her grip so she was holding it with one hand and it was pointing straight up while the other end touched the ground. Her free hand moved over to Muffy, who was a little surprised as her trainer started to gently scratch behind her ear without any request for attention. "Now, if you assholes laugh at my Audino again, that's a different story. It just might hurt her feelings enough to set you on fire."
Muffy blinked at that, then it clicked. Faith was defending her! She did love her! With a happy squeal, she latched onto her trainer again, who jumped a little less than the first time and looked down at her with an deadpan expression. Well, there went all the intimidation value. "...You can't stop being cute for two minutes, can you?" she asked in exasperation.

Possibly just a force of habit by now, he had simply nodded a little at Delilah as she spoke and blinked in confusion when she said thanks. Oh... oh yeah, right, lol.... After a moment, he simply started to wipe down the bar and found his gaze wandering off towards where Delilah was walking. As he watched, Lyall couldn't help but smirk at Muffy's reactions. She looked like some pokemon Carly would like or something, cute fuzzy heh, yeah....
