However, when asked about his own sort of fears, he simply brought an arm up and held her a bit closer as he thought. At the heights one, he half grinned before a singular thought on flying more came to mind. It would be good to go out and fly when the weather was good and when they were ahead... or maybe early in the morning so that after they could come back and get back to work.... no definitely in the evening after work, yes.... "We'll have to go flying more often," he chuckled to himself rather quietly. At the refusal to fail, even with the nudging, he couldn't help but grin a bit before shaking his head and letting a quiet 'tsk' sound escape. "I dislike sand in most instances," he stated aloud. "It infuriates me when it can get into things... not really a fear though..... I don't really mind rain or thunderstorms ...and heh... He lived in the desert, after all, and from the sound of it always ha-... Suddenly a rather belated thought clicked into place with his tales of childhood a bit earlier. He... was actually native to Era, not the Orre, wasn't he? Unless... Eh she couldn't remember his exact wording now on where he'd said he wandered after his mom, but it was possible he could've been from northern Orre and wandered up into Era. Or... maybe further in given he'd have had a few years to get there.. Eh, she'd ask more on that later. This decision was doubly confirmed when his last point was made. ... Well that was the last thing she was expecting, and Kali couldn't help but give a syllable's worth of a disbelieving laugh. "And what way is that?" she asked with an odd smile. "This is the same man who's been reluctant to hire every one of the less-than-hand-full of people working for him?" She would've asked about taking her on, but she knew her age really had factored strongly into that, especially given she'd made a point when they met to come off as a child. How was he supposed to say that as long as one person was alive that he knew and respected that he would be at peace simply knowing so? How could he begin to explain that was the sole reason that he was so sure that Master Ein was still alive out there and simply caught up in business or jail or something rather than dead? How did one begin to describe the fear of being alone after one world around you was suddenly thrown away? How could he begin to explain that it didn't matter the number of people that one came into contact with for any duration of time didn't really matter when it came to such loneliness? Whoever had made up the phrase 'lonely in a crowd' certainly nailed that head, yet Yue couldn't come up with such wording at that moment at least. And because he was unable to explain any of this or even remotely begin to describe what he wanted to say on the matter, Yue Leon Alias simply sat there rather quietly for a good solid five minutes before finally shaking his head a little and offering a smile. "Sorry... I can't really explain it," he finally answered back even managing to force a laugh from somewhere in him. [/scrolly]

In other words, it really wasn't lack of eating that caused her to faint that day as she'd so heavily insisted. Not that she wasn't pretty certain everyone in the lab already knew that.. "NO," she declared rather adamantly, then turning rather red at how childish that probably came out, pulling away slowly now. "It's a weapon, not a shield. I can pull a PokeBall just as fast for both, and there are more options there. There's just..." She faltered a bit before coming back with resolution. "There's no reason I'd ever need to use something made strictly to kill." Sure guns could injure, too, but... Bullet wounds could get infected or one could hit some vital organ or artery without meaning to or general blood loss or just miss while trying to hit non-lethally and do nothing and... Eck. It was just so much easier to have Stormy break a guy's leg if she had to or something. Even worked better for intimidation. With a gun, she'd shake, and someone might be all 'you won't shoot'. "Unless Hatter tries to kill us or teaches someone else to break in, I don't think that's going to happen," she replied bone dry. "The closest I've been to having no Pokemon on me for ten years is leaving my PokeBalls in the other room walking around home. And even then, I... honestly can't think of even once at the lab there's not been any out wandering." Stormy probably never would've gone in her ball as a kid if Kali'd had her way, and even then it was rare, though once she'd become an Electabuzz it was a little harder to defend her roaming. Of course, just 'it should probably be okay' wasn't enough to combat something like this. And she simly couldn't let him get away with turning her own logic on her without at least making a note that he'd tried to do so. "Though didn't we agree not to talk about your possibility to get over a fear by further exposure?" It was solid stone, and had only been abandoned a few years. The wind wasn't too bad- and they'd know if it was- and the only other real danger they'd ever had with storms was flooding, which certainly wasn't even a slight concern from way up here. "I've watched most of the Disney movies," he finally stated more or less looking off. "I grew up with Nurse Joys and future Nurse Joys... a family full of girls, after all. If it wasn't a Disney movie, chick-flick, or something of that nature, it was some soap opera...." Yue's smile fidgeted a little. "And I really hate soaps." She moved closer again, placing an open palm on his chest- or rather her fingertips, letting her palm just barely hover. "It isn't like you really act straight, after all.." She pushed him back now, as much using that as a distraction as actually trying as she climbed onto his lap, not really caring whether or not he actually lay down. "Most straight men I've seen would be fairly excited by this," she purred in his ear. She was doing (almost) nothing but teasing him at this point, really, and as long as they'd been together he should realize that.
