Ass. She mentally shook her head, but just retained her position as well as he'd let her and stared into his eye. "Well I didn't say gay men couldn't be hot as hell," she half-teased. The gay half, of course. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed closer, leaning her forehead against his. "It's okay." She brought one hand back to trace his face with her fingertips. "A lot of gay men have issues accepting their sexuality." Her words and actions seemed to be a little conflicting.. This pattern continued as she leaned that extra inch or so in to kiss him. "I'm not gay either," he answered back. "More like... not really interested at all." Though that statement went out the window....er...giant ass hole in the wall.... when he simply kissed her again. Well, for the most part he'd been telling the truth, right? Errhm... ya something like that, heh.... Part of her was sure he was just playing back, while another just spiraled into a pit of 'I KNEW IT', and another utterly raged that it simply wasn't possible and he was doing this on purpose just to torment her. The next kiss served both to greatly relieve her and confuse her that much further. She just wanted to cling to him and never let go... to melt into him and share a single existence.. Realizing she never got to give the answer she'd come to earlier, Kali replied now with a not-quite distant smile, "You fascinate me.." A small blush rose and she averted her eyes slightly to admit the next bit, though the smile remained unwavering. "I actually.. used to almost be afraid.. that once I figured you out, once you weren't so mysterious anymore, I might lose interest.." Her eyes came back up to set on his. "But after learning so very much today.. I can honestly say, I'm only more fascinated- more in awe, and more in love with you- with everything I learn.." She wrapped her arms around his neck, still just staring into his eye with that adoring gaze. Sighing a very weak laugh, she shrugged. "You're.... my life..." Heh, fascinate? As she went on to explain, he frowned fo ra few seconds, yet when she had finished, he found himself smiling again. As Kali wrapped her arms around him, Yue wrapped his arms around her and held her close. As Kali stated the last few words, Yue blinked a moment gathering the full motion if it. Kali had said it before, yet it hadn't hit him in the same was, somehow... "And you're mine," he answered back rather quietly. Though shadow pokemon and the project came into a close second, he was slowly realizing that even that... Kali had been through everything even pertaining to it, in some way. She had been there with him when they had officially started up the project again... the first shadowing, and even then before that... and just... everything as he thought about it... The more he thought about it, the more he realized what a part of him had only thought he had grasped. It was just... He'd thought he understood it easy enough... even when he had accepted it he thought... but... just... being able to open up and just state everything in one full day was just.... and then even then when he was sure it would somehow push her away, it didn't..... Yue's mind was swimming with thoughts that he could only partially piece together at the moment. However, one thing he was sure of....."I love you, Kali," he all but whispered. [/scrolly]

Yeah, definitely. There were some close seconds competing, but.. Kali was pretty certain this was the happiest she'd been in her life. Having already been pulled closer, she simply strengthened her own embrace around him and clung tight, never wanting this moment to end. Tears of ecstasy in her eyes, she whispered back in a slight squeak, "I love you too..." More than anything... More than breathing.. She had lived without him before, but... Kali really wasn't sure if she would have been able to after. If she could die in his arms or live forever without him... heh. Well that was hardly a choice, was it.. It was rather peaceful aside form the storm and rain that were rushing from the outside. However, even that sounded rather distant.... After a little, he slowly began to loosen his arms. Just the thought of being tired caused her to yawn, and a hand went to her mouth for a moment as she stifled it. "I was too excited to get much sleep.. Heh." Leaning in a bit, she kissed him again lightly, then smiled. "Just couldn't wait to spend this day with you.." Although, granted, this wasn't exactly the day she'd been planning. Heh... Well, the best presents often were those one didn't even know one wanted, neh? "All I was really hoping for was to coax my setup for 'I want you' and try to drag you to bed." Indeed, as much as she'd pulled the 'but it's my birthday!' line, the one and only thing she'd actually planned to ask for was sex- or to make love, rather. "Not just," he answered back slowly falling into a half frown before falling silent for a few seconds more or less sighing to himself and working out what exactly he wanted to say next. "But some part of it, anyways. You should know me already on that,' he half smiled again before finally allowing it to slip away again. Again, he fell silent for a good bit of time trying to work out what he wanted to say. After a few seconds, a half laugh came to his throat but was killed in another second as he became more serious again. At some point, he found his eye slipping sideways and away from Kali, and Yue Leon Alias mentally kicked himself for it in another second before finally forcing himself to look back at Kali. This was... obnoxiously hard and all but infuriating... not at what he was about to say but the fact that he found himself hesitating so much. It'd be considerably easier if he was just able to slide back under his mask... slide back under that light air about him that he kept rather close, yet at the same time he knew a bit too well that that wasn't an option at this point. It would just... ruin things, really... He was sure of that having already been chewed for his age and having pretty much tried to put of lying at least for the day..... if not for longer depending, really.....and he wasn't about to try that anyways... it was just... ugh... this was the reason that he preferred his mask. It made it so much easier to speak... to say what needed to be said, and yet he reminded himself yet again that he simply couldn't.... fall into that... It'd make him sound fake when he was trying to be serious, and he knew it. And damn it, now he was just wasting more time on thinking about it when he could have already gotten it out by then. This...Enough. He'd get this out and say it and just be done with it... done with whatever reaction came after.... "I guess... you could already figure what I had thought up in a year if we were... heh....together then..." Yue mentally fidgeted but kicked himself to keep form hesitating. ". Ah well... For a brief moment, Yue's face went something akin to a beat as he finally got it out, and his heart had sometime moved up into his throat and decided to reside where his carotid arteries were supposed to be. If he hadn't looked so spaced, or perhaps just if she wasn't too busy fuming to feel like getting in a better position to do so, Kali would have slapped him. Really, what kind of sick game was he playing? She... she knew it was pretty petty to get so upset of a single issue, especially considering what that was, but it wasn't just about that! How could he go from you're my life, I love you, to oh by the way you're just a kid, better luck next year? He knew... He knew how much time and effort she poured into her desperate clawing for a little physical attention, yet he continued to ignore it, or give her false hope only to keep crushing it over and over. It didn't matter exactly what it was; just there was something- anything, any substitution was just as bad- that he knew she wanted so badly, and she'd had to directly request it to get him to even try to think about the future possibility. ... Or had she? "I guess... you could already figure what I had thought up in a year if we were... heh....together then..." Kali blinked now, confusion returning to the mix. Was he.. ..Heh? Was he trying to say he'd been planning it already so far in advance? That... was ridiculously funny, though in a strange way that made her want to hit something. At least he wasn't on the list of acceptable targets anymore, though, and that was an improvement. After the initial 'wait what?' wore off, however, she wasn't sure actually if that was good or bad. If she was right, at least he'd been thinking about it at all... but at the same time: the fucking hell? Did that mean he did want her and forced himself to hold back over her age? D< That was-- ". Ah well... I'll ruin the surprise... I'd been thinking of asking..." ._. Oshitwait. That didn't-.... All of a sudden this was sounding very much like-... There's no way. Kali turned just as Scizor-red as he was about to, though she didn't know that yet. Try as she might, she couldn't seem to make her heart stop nailing against her chest, nor calm her rushing blood, nor fight down her rising hopes she was so sure were about to be slammed to their death if she didn't reel them in. She pushed away a bit more, sliding back completely off his lap finally and hands falling to her sides as she waited. That just.. wasn't even possible after.. and so.. but then they..... "I'd ask you to marry me..." An involuntary squeak escaped the back of her throat in shock before Kali found herself the hottest and coldest she'd even been. All the rushing in her head made her feel as though she could have started sweating, if not perhaps even just melted away; yet she found body frozen in place, unable to move anything outside of a sudden shiver that had overcome her. Not even her eyes could seem to shift as she just stared dumbfounded and speechless at him, waiting for a 'but' or an asshole-ish smirk or something to say he wasn't serious. Instead, that deep blush and nervous look said he was. It was probably really the reddest she'd ever seen him; it was rare for him to get very flustered over anything. And now.... How did she even-..................? How could she.. react to that... that wouldn't seem....? In her spiral of shock and helplessness, Kali began to tear up, and suddenly that locked in as her answer as well. A faint smile did find its way to her lips, though whether or not this would stand out from the crying was questionable. She didn't bawl or cringe, and her sobs were no more than small whispers. Known only to Kali, each was also a very small piece of a laugh, but she couldn't seem to get this out, really. For the most part, she just sat there, staring at him as tears steadily but silently fell. He had waited for an answer... some sort of word reply... something confident or maybe even a full out laugh and some teasing.... but when Yue found himself simply sitting there staring at Kali who was staring back at him, he found himself locked into some sort of soundless vacuum unable to say anything. Instead, he simply stared and all but continued to wait for some reply... aside from the tears that were now sliding down Kali's face to which Yue had no idea how to react to in the least. Was it better to... to just... to just what? He'd finally gotten it out, and now it was just.... Yue breathed out, realizing that since his last word had been stated, he had been holding it. Gauging more air in, Yue continued to sit there for another minute or two expecting.... waiting for some sort of answer. After a moment, he found his eye slide downwards and zero in on a small scratch on the floor. His face remained red, and he found no way to cool it. He gulped a little, and simply continued to stare at the floor. "Well I mean... if you had said no...I...." he was more muttering to himself than really speaking to Kali at that point. "I mean.... I...." his voice didn't raise above a whisper and only continued to get quieter and quieter. Outside the rain continued to pour, yet no sounds of thunder and no cracking of lightning appeared... It would have been peaceful... if not for...well...heh.... [/scrolly]

If.. she had said... It took a while for it to sink in, really. He.... Did he actually think...? Some half a minute after he'd finished speaking, it finally reached Kali all the way, and she began to suddenly laugh hysterically, crying just as hard to match. After a full minute like this, she finally calmed and found her nerves enough to glomp him, clinging. "You idiot," she almost really scolded, still laughing. Another near-minute passed by as she tried to calm down, eventually managing an on-and-off giggle with a tiny bit of sniffling. Finally realizing she hadn't given a straight answer, Kali drew in a breath and tried to gather her thoughts. She just hoped she could voice well what seemed so obvious to her. Smiling softly at him even as tears still continued slowly, she at last managed to all but whisper, "If you'd go for it.. I'd leave for Gateon right now to get emancipated." She held him tighter.
