A few chuckles escaped him, and he found himself simply holding her tighter. "It's raining right now and I'd rather not go flying through it," he finally answered back with a small chuckle before growing a bit more serious. "But kali.... please... just wait," he finally spoke rather quietly half smiling half not. "I... need time to plan things out.. time to make everything really right.... for everything... I know you've waited and waited and I know I'm pulling your chain but..." he breathed inwards before quietly sighing out. "Just... be patient with me, like you've already been...." he asked... not quite fully begging bit getting pretty damn close. [/scrolly]

The prior did eventually win, though, and she just stared into his eye with her teary-eyed adoring smile, one thought never having left her mind through all this jumble. Nuzzling as close and tight as she possibly could, Kali found it still wasn't enough to quell this energy and wrapped her arms around him, kissing his cheek/neck/shoulder some few dozen times before just hugging tighter and squeaking with delight a bit more. She was getting married!<3<3<3 Ah man, she couldn't wait to flaunt- it didn't even really matter to whom. Jasmine tended to seem pretty blank but she was still a set of ears. Kaito would probably feel better about their little misadventure once he knew it helped her with this!<3 Rub it in Ven's fat face- hell, she'd brag to Hatter while she was at it! OH and she definitely had to find Nathan and Ami now, and Sen too! And and and-- Every person they passed on the way home, to hell with it! TEEE<333 Just when Kali was certain she was never going to come down from this high, the image of Ardos flashed through her mind, and she actually did calm back to acceptable levels again. Heh.. How... did she even try to go about..? Heh. Well... If they were waiting until she was eighteen anyway, to hell with what he might think. She'd just flaunt like to anyone else, and if he was upset, fuck him. The man hadn't managed to track her down after a whole fucking year; how much did his opinion still matter? As she thought more about this story, it really occurred to her-... He just sort of said he was going to ask, didn't he? ...Heh. It didn't make her any less engaged (teeheeheehee!<3), but.. "Well... I hadn't know when your birthday was but I had been going to ask about it... and then when you turned eighteen I was going to....." He bit his lip. How the hell was this just as hard as asking before? It... wasn't fair damn it...heh.... "I was going to take you out to the Amphitheater where we first met and..." He bit his lip again before a splurge of rather quick words followed suit. "I was going to walk back to where we first caught the Riolu and was going to joke about the only reason I'd suggest coming out there again was to find Sawk and Throh or some other pokemon that hadn't been caught by some of the other lab people already seeing as you'd caught a lot of rare pokemon and then sort of turn state a few things that'd happened over the years and then ask...and I'd... hope you'd say yes......... provided that we didn't get attacked by some random pokemon that, from your stories, you seem to attract... " Yue breathed inwards rather sharply realizing that he'd said that entire slight rant in less than thirty seconds. His eye slid away for a moment, and he managed a half chuckle. [/scrolly]

"You're ridiculous, you know." She'd backed off enough to watch his face as he spoke, mentally squeaking at how cute he was when he was embarrassed, and now hugged him tight again. Though.. heh. "The Amphitheater was my other choice of where to go today, you know." She was glad.. they thought alike. Of course, there was one little bit that bugged her. Hoped she'd said yes...? Pff. There he went again. As if there was any doubt whatsoever.. Heh. Still, this didn't stop her from smirking and voicing her curiosity: "But what would you have done if I'd said no?" "Well you shouldn't have worried.." she assured him, then settling into a soft, gentle gaze. "I've loved you for so long... Heh." As she said it, she did have to wonder at just what point that had gone from adoration to wanting to spend her life with him, though. This brought a serious question: how much of it was that extra dedication and how much was just that she was already comfortable with him? How long ago could he have asked? And was it really still more comfort and giddy fantasies now? ....Eh. That was a mood-killer. Anyway, her feelings had only grown stronger all this time. Surely they'd just keep on growing, and she had a whole year to make sure she really truly did want this as much as she thought she did. Of course... That also meant a whole year of waiting for all the parts she did want, and.... Nyyyaahh! That was just torture! She could handle it, she was sure, though she didn't know how. And then just think--.... "Hold on a sec." A thought had suddenly hit, and as it took root, Kali did her best to hold back a laugh. He was a 30-yr-old virgin, and turned down all her advances, and-...She couldn't help but laugh just a teeny bit. His face that had already been red before hand went and settled somewhere between the stereotypical little red wagon and a tomato. A rather exasperated nervous laugh escaped and hit the air for a good ten seconds before a hand reached up and wrapped itself around Yue's mouth trying to get him to calm himself. After a few seconds, half a voice managed to escape his mouth despite his hand being there. "Y-y-yes...." he stated rather quietly only somehow growing a bit redder. "I just...." he trailed off finding that whatever he was trying to say was now refusing to come from him. [/scrolly]

After some thirty seconds, however, she did eventually both stop laughing and loosen her hold a bit. Giddy as she was, she hadn't completely forgotten she was curious why. At Kali's question, Yue breathed inwards and shook his head the thought rather scattered in his brain. However, after a few seconds, he tried to form it into an easier to follow statement. "When I start complaining about my back and that I can't see with my one eye, then you can call me old," he answered back. Pft... he was twenty-....er thirty........even if his thoughts on certain subjects weren't the same as everything else. Time changed quick enough as it was. Era's monarchy had only crumbled about two years ago, and yet it felt like much longer.....After a few seconds, he simply smirked at that thought. Yue mentally deadpanned but physically stuck his tongue out, raised two index fingers, and prodded Kali in the forehead. "You're horrible," he answered back. ".......But alright... compromise," he finally answered back mentally sighing a little bit but coming to something of a smile at least. [/scrolly]

She flinched, but at his answer, Kali squeaked a little in delight, though she cut off the majority of it, instead just grinning like a Cheshire cat as she snuggled. She wouldn't try anything just yet though.. She could at least wait until they got home, and didn't want it to seem like her mind was too set on that track... Heh<3 Arceus almighty. This... was hands down the greatest day of Kali's life, and it wasn't even over. The downside, of course, was that she knew today could not be topped for at least a year.. and even then, it would run close. Marriage and a honeymoon- oh man where would they even go?- were each better than the promise thereof, but she'd gotten so much more today. Of course there were still.... "Two more things then..." she sighed contently. "I think.. this is the last really big question, and I've been looking for a good time to ask all day. So first.." After a few seconds, he found his eye sliding away and staring at a wall for a few moments. "I.... ripped it out.... of my head...." he finally answered back not making any sort of eye-contact and feeling his stomach twitch at his own words. "Kinda... a panic thing... really...." His voice had dropped considerably by that point. "Like I said with the name... I was... getting a lot of Nathan's memories and was aware of him getting at mine... and I ran away.... but it just wouldn't stop.... and... I... really don't know fully why I ripped it out.... just one minute I remember wishing I'd just....didn't want to 'see' all those thoughts and...I guess... I thought I'd be able to negate it somehow I don't really..." He shuddered a minute and fell silent almost appearing not willing to go on for a good minute or two before finally breathing in again and one more starting. "And the next minute it was just... out... and... it scared me.... a lot..." A rather pained chuckle came from Yue, and he found himself gulping a little. "And then I... just kept running..... tripped and fell a bunch of times over trying to keep getting away and ended up in Scorch just a bloody mesas..." He fell silent after that and made no other motion to speak. His stomach was in knots, and his face had paled considerably from what it had been. [/scrolly]

The truth... was both far less interesting than she'd imagined and far more horrifying. So... Nathan was also, in a way, responsible for.... Suddenly the level of trauma really involved sank a bit deeper, and her occasional fantasy of sharing his mind lost much of its appeal. But.. then... If it was willing... and with her... And a more experienced Pokemon, kind of, she assumed. Eh, she'd think about this later. The story in general... almost didn't make sense. His logic just seemed... but then... He was only eight or nine, wasn't he.. Drawing in a deep breath, Kali thought over it for a few minutes before finally breaking into a weak smile. "...Heh... And here I thought I had a tendency to hurt myself.." It was a pitiful attempt at lightening the mood, and she only hoped he'd take it as such rather than making light of his pain. "It's just... a good think you stopped at one, I guess.." She'd still love him if he were blind of course, but.. well, she doubted he'd be where he was, or who he was. Well...
