Kali sat there halfway between dumbfounded and horrified. He... had been through so much... and... She didn't even know where to begin to respond to all that. As the food was set in front of her, she didn't even look at it. She was too busy staring at him with that look of disbelief at something one knew to be true, inadvertently watching him eat for the first time in ages. Not that she really saw it, staring almost more through him and all. For probably every bit of five minutes if not more, she sat silent. How could she...? Why had she...? Why hadn't she learned by now not to push him? She knew... his life had sucked, but this... Why wasn't she prepared for anything like this? A large part of her... just wanted to crawl under the table and hide forever, though logic told her that was ridiculous, and more of her than anything couldn't bring herself do anything even if she'd wanted. Finally, at long last, a thought hit that caused the girl to give the smallest, most pathetic laugh. In a very weak near-whisper, she replied in a poor attempt at sarcasm, "I.. didn't ask for your life story, you know..." With this, she ducked under the table of their booth and- after a very brief moment to reconsider staying there was dismissed- resurfaced next to him, wrapping her arms tight around his waist. "But.. Taking yet another bite, he waited through the five minutes for some sort of reply or reaction. What finally came from Kali caused Yue to stop eating. He didn't show any sort of facial response to it, and his face remained blank even when Kali slipped under the table. However, when she moved up and sat next to him, Yue's red eye slid sideways just a second before he found arms wrapped around his waist. For a few seconds, he hesitated before slowly hugging her back. "....If it means anymore..." he finally said stroking her back a bit. "You're the first one I've literally told.." A rather weak chuckle of sorts escaped Yue as he beat back that particular thought. [/scrolly]

"Of course it does<3" Not that she hadn't suspected as much, given previous revelations in which she was the first/only person to play various roles in his life, but that confirmation just made it so much sweeter. Loosing her grip a bit, she leaned up and kissed his cheek before releasing him fully. Deciding she liked it much better on this side, Kali reached over and pulled her plate to her, then leaned against his shoulder a bit (he was ambidextrous, right?) even as she started to cut into the omelet. "Heh...m..." was all he really answered back with before shoving some eggs into his mouth. He felt rather... eh... bare, really... having said all that now... and well....but at the same time... something about it... about telling it to someone was just... oddly refreshing, one could say... "Not even close to being over, though," the white haired man half smiled. [/scrolly]

Kali could think of only a few times in her life she may have been happier, and all were with him. With a gentle and adoring smile, she glanced up to him and replied, "Well of course.." The slight blush that had risen deepened as she added, "The day can only get better as long as I'm with you..~" As she began to eat again, Kali thought over all the things he'd told her. To lose his mother on his birthday... And she'd thought hers seemed unlucky. And then... She gasped suddenly and blinked several times as the sheer astonishment of it really hit. "..You were only six, right?" She didn't want to say exactly when she meant, deciding it was obvious enough. "How did you survive in the wastelands all alone?" Though even when he was twice that age Kali still wasn't even born, her tone came across oddly akin to a mother worried sick about her injured child. "And.." If his birthday was some time in August.. After a moment, he simply breathed in and put the fork down again looking sideways and half smiling. "Not really sure... really..." he sighed a little trying to bring back those memories but finding that there was still a block of sorts around them..not in the way of amnesia but.... He... really wasn't sure how he'd done it... being that young and out in the middle of nowhere..... "Ended up running into Nathan and walking with him for a bit... persistent bastard... all he cared about was knowing everything even at that age..." Yue was losing his appetite rather quickly and found himself setting the fork down. [/scrolly]

"Sorry," she squeaked. After a few moments of silence, she offered as a bit more apology, "I was just... trying to make conversation is all." She took in a deep breath, then forced a weak smile. "Hey... From now on, just tell me when you don't want to answer some things?" Sliding a hand onto his leg, she gave a light squeeze. "I don't mean to push you... You know I'm curious, but as long as you don't lie to me I'm fine not knowing.." She maneuvered his arm around her a bit then and leaned back against his shoulder. "I adore you~" Picking up his fork, she stabbed a bit of egg and offered it to him, smile becoming rather sweeter. "Mmm~?"[/scrolly]	[atrb=style,border:0 black none;]

However, after a second more, he lowered his hand, stared at Kali, and just opened his mouth. [/scrolly]

He didn't exactly respond to her request, but she'd take that as a yes. "You.. are too wonderful<3" she cooed. Keeping his fork, she took another bite of her own omelet before offering another bite to him, still cuddled close all the while. This pattern continued peacefully for some time until most of the rest of his omelet was gone along with a little over half of hers. All the while, the only thing Kali could seem to concentrate on, aside from her actions, was how much he meant to her. He didn't always pay her as much attention as she would have liked, and she... wasn't always the best girlfriend when trying to counter this, but... When it all boiled down, no one else even came close to making her feel quite the way he did. More than anything, she wished... "Leon..." she sighed, finally setting down the fork. Part of her was tempted to just jump in his lap and try to get him to make out in public, but her better judgement told her to at least wait until a little better time if she tried it at all. As she'd said his name, though, a new question suddenly resparked. "Ohey! ..Just if you don't mind, of course..." she was sure to clarify. "Something I've wondered since the day we met. ..Why do you use your names gender-exclusively?" 'Men call me Yue, women call me Leon, and those in between call me Alias.' Ok.. so he couldn't find and exact reason... though there always was the simple fact of the matter that it was her birthday.... He had been about to think up a different reason but stopped when the the question came on his name. After a few seconds, he found himself laughing a little before slowly growing somber calm again (though his face never did stop smiling). "It..." he started but found himself stopping. "Was originally just used to confuse people..." he finally sighed a little. "I interchanged it a lot as a kid... often just introducing myself as one thing or another.... before sooner or later it just settled out into one for men and one for women... and then one for the in between or business partners, I guess." He half laughed again but cut it shorter than the first. This talk was... very... well unnerving wasn't really the word.. just more... odd, sort of... Yue found himself having to force down not saying the first lie that came to mind, and it was all but aggravating, really.... not at Kali though... just at... well..... [/scrolly]

She still wondered how exactly that had come about, and how each had found its specific role over another, but imagined those would probably be the sort of things that 'just happened' with no real planning or method. 'Why those names?' was the first follow-up to jump to mind, but even as Kali opened her mouth she closed it again, remembering something about Nathan's sister and a Luxray. ...That... That was something that had been eating at her since the day the smug bastard told her. No buttons Kali, she told herself. She should keep it as safe as she could. As another thought hit, though, Kali grinned and asked, "So which of the latter is Hatter?" She gave a rather sharp laugh only to have it fall short as another connection killed her mood a bit. Vengeance.... eh.... ...Well. Gossip was fun, right? She'd just concentrate on that factor of it. "You know he and Ven apparently have something?" Ven... and Hatter... A sudden, rather horrible, laugh broke from Yue, and in half a second, he had wrapped a few fingers around his mouth to silence it. "You're joking, right?" he finally asked. "Nope." Some cruel part of her was dying to clarify, but somehow or other she managed to keep it to her- No, never mind. She had to. "The fat ugly one, not your Hippopotas~" she chimed a little too brightly before dropping back to her previous tone. "I was actually trying to help her with a new image one night last week" (or was it the week before? Eh, recently) "in hopes he'd be distracted enough he'd leave- us alone." Really, it was 'leave me alone', at least originally, but she managed to correct this with only a fraction-second's falter. However, as Kali went on about helping Vengeance to distract Hatter, Yue found his eyebrow raising and a half smile on his face. "As long as it doesn't distract him enough to forget about bringing in shipments of supplies needed for the lab... I am currently having a few more parts brought in that one can't get in the city, generally." Generally being... the normal way one would ship anything, really. "And as long as he doesn't take it as a full invitation to move in or something -.\'" That... was the last thing they needed, really... [/scrolly]

If... her plans worked too well.... For some half a minute she sat in horrified silence before finally managing to rasp out, "....What have I done?" If her tone didn't make it obvious enough she was terrified, the light shaking should. Fortunately, she was snapped out of it as the waitress came by with a "Is everything all right?", and after their light answer a "Can I get you anything else?" Kali blinked, thinking on it a second, but finding herself quite content. As she uttered the question, Yue mentally sweat dropped a little and was trying to figure something to say that would either change the subject or... something.... However, as he opened his mouth, Yue was cut off as the waitress came and asked if everything was alright. Yue simply replied that everything was fine, and as the second question came about, Yue found himself hesitating. Last chance on the french toast... eh... he could probably make some later if need be... "Not for me," he answered back then directing the question at Kali. After it seemed that there was no other immediate requests, the waitress nodded and stated she'd bring the bill in a second. Yue simply nodded back and looked at Kali. "You ok?" Yue finally asked finding that that had pretty much been the only thing he could find to say at that moment. [/scrolly]

"I will be," she answered back, then drew in a deep breath to let out as a sigh. "We'll worry about Hatter if it comes to that. No sense getting upset before then, right?" The bright tone was more to reassure herself than him, but it worked. Kali went ahead and ate a few more bites, and a few moments later, the waitress returned to set the check on the table, and they quickly paid and headed outside. "Off to the castle, then," he answered back with a light air making a motion in its general direction as he continued to walk. It was at that point that a thought hit Yue. This was... well...heh... well wasn't that interesting... With that thought in mind, Yue have imagined that Nathan would suddenly show up there given that they had chatted at that very place. However, the odds of that didn't really seem to fit at the end of it. Half laughing at this very thought, Yue shook his head a little... Then again, that red haired man did seem to show up just about anywhere... M.... Suddenly a thought came to Yue, and his single red eye slid sideways. "Any more questions?" was finally what came from him. [/scrolly]

"You think I could ever know enough about you?" Even if she could read his mind, she'd want to know all the things about him he didn't. He was... an obsession, really, as she'd said to Kaito, but so much more than that. Thinking on it, Kali's earlier question came to mind. Should... Well... She didn't want to pry too much. ..But he offered, right? And.. he wouldn't offer if he was just going to get defensive or upset, right? So... Why not? The worst he should do is not answer... And if he did, and fully, Kali would have one of the biggest waves of curiosity in her calmed. "So... why those specific names?" After a moment, she grinned. "A sort of pull from 'Yuan' my childhood name.. they both start like 'Yu' and all. 'Leon' is a name for a memory.. .er... thought.... .uhm....." He sighed a little and was about to drop into some sort of silence of sorts but resolved to explain it all given that he had already started and knew it'd just leave Kali with more questions that she may or may not ask. Might... as well get it all out now.. or at least a bit of it..... "Nathan's Ralts was ... extremely inexperienced at that particular time and because of it, I got bits and pieces.....of Nathan's memories. I didn't want to see them. It just happened, and the name stuck in my mind somehow or another." After a moment, Yue breathed out rather slowly cooling considerably from the slight tension that had risen in his blood as he had spoken. "They're... just names though... Oh... and I guess you can figure what 'Alias' is... more or less my own ... humor I guess..." He forced a laugh of sorts and shook his head. [/scrolly]
