[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Well, wasn’t that something. An… acquaintance had told him he should visit the tower. He had been rather embarrassed to find out that the Aerial Tower had been located in the Eastern Woods. He had lived in the east for practically his entire life and yet had never seen it before. Not that he was overly impressed with it. He couldn’t see the top due to the clouds and lack of flying pokemon but from below it looked like nothing more then an old, run down tower.
Nero, the woman who had suggested he come here, had mentioned many dragons living in the area. He was kind of hoping to run into them but all he had seen along the way were a few pesky Pidgey. If he didn’t find it a waste of time he’d have started shoot them all dead in order to silence their annoying chirps. Some claimed it was singing but he would rather hear the sound of nails on a chalk bored then listen to them. Now, Lance wasn’t one for dressing in clothes that were well… informal, but today he wore a set that was much better suited for traveling around out of the city. In fact, one of his co-workers had suggested it, claiming that it was more appealing to the common day fashion trend. At least this way he would still rich but not as snobbish… if that was even possible on Lance. Either way, he end up wearing a white coat with black trimmings. A black, long sleeved shirt underneath and long, dark blue jeans with a black belt. He felt rather uncomfortable but he was determined that he needed to grow accustom to them. Today he was not a noble or a business man. He was adventuring… damn that sounded so childish. Aside from his clothes his long blond hair was still tied back like usual.
“How does one get up there.” Lance spoke to himself as he stood in front of the large tower, his head looking upwards for a moment before he finally lowered it. He placed the lit cigarette back into his mouth and glared at the old, rotting door that lead into the building. He really did not feel like touching it but he was curious to what lay inside. Perhaps he could find one of those dragon types. He had no idea how disappointed he would be to find the stairs inside where broken making it almost impossible to climb up the tower. Luckily he only managed to tighten the white gloves on his hands before getting ready to take a step when he suddenly heard a noise coming from the path leading to the tower. It caused him to turn around, his deep blue eyes scanning the path. [/scrolly] [bg=black] |

The noise had been from a Happiny. She had run along ahead and now stood on the path, just within view of the blond man. She was not your regular Happiny, either. Her coloring was slightly lighter than most, making her a shiny. Just as suddenly as she appeared, there was a call from behind her. "Keirei! Don't get too far ahead," a woman's voice warned.
Keirei just stared at Lance, standing in place. Then, rather suddenly, she gave him a salute and turned around. Scurrying back to Ruka, who was not too far behind, she pointed ahead excitedly. There was someone there! Unfortunately, the woman didn't quite understand Pokespeech so she wasn't quite able to completely make out the message her companion was trying to portray.
This was unneeded, however, as she had continued to walk down the path as Keirei spoke. Looking up once the Happiny pointed exaggeratedly at Lance, she blinked. "Oh... I see. Uh, hi there," she offered, setting a hand down on Jacques's head. The Jollaby was where he always sat: in his messenger bag and just staring at the man ahead of them now. It seemed his human just couldn't stay away from males... Not that she went seeking them unnecessarily.
Either way, he gave a faint wave. Unlike his, the Happiny's wave was very excited. She wanted Lance to know she was happy to meet him, of course! At the moment, it didn't appear as though Ruka had any other Pokemon. Or at least none out of their Pokeballs.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance glared down at the tiny, pink, pokemon when he spotted it. It was, what was that word females liked to use, ah yes, cute. It would make a perfect gift for his little Rosa, or would have. Not long after it had stopped on the path and the thought of capturing ran through Lances mind that voice was heard from the distance. A voice that belong to nothing more than some woman. Most likely some sort of house maid or wife slacking off to play around with some baby pokemon. Women were so… worthless now a day. They wasted so much time doing pointless things when they could married and supporting their husbands on their success and hard work. But no, most of them wanted their own jobs and to travel and catch pokemon and… well, it was disappointing to say the least.
Lance removed the cigarette from his mouth as the Happiny gave him a solute and ran off towards her trainer. Tossing it on the ground and putting it out with a boot, he watched as woman greeted him, and yet another pokemon waved at him. He didn’t much feel like waving back and so he didn’t. Instead he stuck his hands into his pockets and narrowed his eyes a bit as watched them draw closer.
“Greatings.” Was the welcome he gave once he was certain she was close enough to hear without him having to raise his voice. His tone was rather calm and somewhat kind sounding despite the real thoughts running through his head. He was not one to be rude or voice his opinions until he understood exactly who he was speaking and dealing with. It would be his luck that he would say something rude to someone and later find out that it was the daughter of some business partner of his. “Wasn’t expecting company out here.” At the very lest he could make conversation with her and find out a bit more about her. It was a habit. He liked finding out as much as he could about people. Gain their trust and if he found they could be useful he kept them under close tabs.

"Neither was I," Ruka remarked, smiling at him. She couldn't guess what was going through his head and wasn't sure she wanted to. Although, she was somewhat curious about him overall. That was the case with most new people she came across, particularly in such situations. "I just came to look around and look for new Pokemon."
Her explanation was, of course, vague. While he had thoughts of her just wanting to go on adventures and such, she was thinking more about her family's business. She was a breeder, after all, and had to make sure she had Pokemon fit for such a task. The Happiny wasn't able to breed, of course, but Ruka planned on changing that by having her evolve. Clearing her throat, she fidgeted slightly as she stopped a few feet away and peered at the tower.
"So... My name's Ruka," she offered, hoping to ease the slight tension she felt. Unable to explain it, she figured it was just her nerves, since she was never very social. That would also explain why she wasn't married, too... While she wasn't rude or completely unattractive, she'd never met someone who was all that interested, either. Or at least no one that she impressed enough for even a relationship, much less marriage. That's right, a twenty-five year old virgin who hadn't even had a full-fledged relationship.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] So she was pokemon trainer. Or something likewise. He would have to inquire to ask exactly what a bit later. He saw no wedding ring on her finger which meant she was not yet married. Though there was still a high possibility that she had a man in her life. Something else he would have to inquire about later. Perhaps he had been granted the first good looking, single woman he had seen in Era since he had returned. He knew at least one of them had to show up eventually. It would be his luck that she would be taken by some high and might man.
“Same” He replied, turning slightly to look back up at the tower behind him, “I was told dragons live in this area.” And he wouldn’t mind finding a few pokemon for Rosa or perhaps a Braviary. The large bird pokemon intrigued him greatly. Sadly most of the pokemon he wanted for himself were rather rare so he hadn’t gotten his hopes up in finding one anytime soon.
“Lance Rossi. It‘s a pleasure to make your acquaintance.” he introduced himself in return. He gave a slight bow, he reached out gloved hand to take her own and kiss it softly. As a noble, gentlemen and businessmen he felt it only proper to great a woman with a kiss on the hand be they married or single. It made them feel beautiful and desired as all woman should feel. After all, in Lances mind it was all the females of the world were good for. Being beautiful. A tool for men to show off and make love to at night. He hadn’t found himself a trophy wife yet but it would come someday. He just wasn’t ready to settle down yet despite his age. He knew he was running out of time to make himself a family but he was no rush. As far as he was concerned he had one already.
Once he stood upright again he decided it was only right for the man to start a conversation. “I seem to have adventured here unprepared. I hadn’t realized the tower was old and in ruin. I was about to take a look inside and see if there is a way up. Would you care to join me?” Try as he might he couldn’t help but use his fancy words. He may have been out of his suit but he still spoke as if he were wealthy; at least around a woman.

"Dragons, huh?" Ruka questioned faintly, almost too herself as she looked at the tower. Just after this, however, he was taking her hand. Returning her attention to him with some alarm, she found his lips against her hand. Her face was almost instantly and completely red. Unsure of what to say in response, she hesitated before speaking. "Oh, um... Yes, a great pleasure."
As if she couldn't sound more brainless, she giggled softly. Jacques just rolled his eyes faintly at her. The poor girl was far too withdrawn for her own good. The Happiny seemed to notice this as well and grinned. She could fix this! Feeling she should set the mood, Keirei began to quietly give off Sweet Kisses toward the two humans, leaving little hearts floating around them. This did not help Ruka's blush and she cleared her throat as she peered down at the Happiny.
"Ha?" the little creature responded, a bit confused, before stopping. The hearts soon popped, leaving Ruka to sigh softly before nodding to Lance's question. "S-sure, that sounds like a good idea. Are we hoping to actually find dragons here?" She couldn't think of any Dragon-type Pokemon that were from the Humanshape egg group of the top of her head, so she wasn't sure she'd want one, but they were rather interesting.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] The blush in her cheeks and the stutter in her words told Lance one thing; she was indeed single. Perfect. She was pretty enough. She didn’t look wealthy but she wasn’t poor either. If he could court a girl like her, surely Felis would see it as a soft spot in him. He was certain with enough gifts and few a perfect lines he could have this woman wrapped around his pinkie finger within days. The little hearts only made things that much easier but he couldn’t seem too desperate or aware of the connection.
“I’m not expecting to. I heard its mostly flying types, but it would be a pleasant surprise.” He replied giving her a rather innocent, gentle looking smile before he turned around and began heading towards the tower. “Have you ever been here before? He had a feeling she hadn’t been by her question about the dragon type pokemon. Not that he actually cared at all. He was just certain he could use it one way or another to help him woo her. One way they had something in common. The other way she could teach him about the tower and surrounding area. It was the perfect setting.
He had made it to the door of the tower before he stopped, hesitating for a moment. The idea of touching such a rotting old building was disgusting but he couldn’t show that side of himself to her. Not if he wanted to impress her. So instead he kept that soft smile on his lips and took in breath before reaching out to pull the door open. A wave of dust and mold poured out of the building almost turning his stomach inside out. But he ignored it and instead held the door open, giving another small bow, “After you my lady.”

Ruka nodded in understanding to the comment. Either way, she doubted she'd find a Pokemon she was really interested in here. Still, it would seem that wasn't what this trip was turning out to be about, anyway. Keirei was now unsure if she should insist upon anything with how the woman had reacted. She watched, wanting to help but unsure how to now. Still, she imagined this man was a nice person and he seemed interested, so now she had to set the mood!
At Lance's question, the woman shook her head. "No, I actually live in the west. My grandparents and I are over here for the festival. I'm... helping take care of them," she explained rather awkwardly. She didn't exactly want him to think she was just living with family because she was lazy or something. It was just that she'd been helping her parents with the breeder farm and then volunteered for helping out her aging grandparents.
As he opened the door, she smiled and nodded, wandering into the tower. Lifting her shirt slightly to cover her nose and mouth from the dust and such, she looked around. "Looks like I'm out of luck." She observed the fallen staircase, knowing she didn't have any flying Pokemon strong enough to get her to the top. Then she looked up into the tower, curious if she even wanted to actually get up there.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance simply continued to smile that fake, yet perfect, little smile. “A volunteer care taker. That is very kind of you. I’m certain your grandparents must be very grateful.” At least it was a proper job for a woman. Care taker or house wife. Lance could never figure out why women insisted on doing anything else. He purposely avoided mentioning anything about the spring festival. It was one event he was certain he was not yet ready to make an appearance to. Surely it would ruin the entire festival for his brother even if Rosa might enjoy having him there. No, he would save Felis the pain of having his older brother showing up. After all, Lance had only seen the man once since he got back and the visit hadn’t gone quite as well as he had hoped.
He slowly followed her into the room, his eyes narrowing a bit as he tried to see through the dust and dark of the rather large room. He had just finished hearing Ruka’s voice claim she was out of luck when he spotted the broken steps. It caused Lance to let out a rather disappointed sigh. He had been hoping to make it to the top but he had no flying pokemon he could ride up and no psychic pokemon that could teleport him. Someday his dragon could fly him up, but he still had a lot of training to do with it before it was ready. “It looks like I am as well” He replied to her, his scanning the room one last time in hopes of spotting another way up. Sadly he saw nothing.
“Well, maybe I can get my pokemon to scout the upstairs. See if we really are missing out on anything .” He suggested as he reached for a pokeball neatly lined up on his belt. With a flash of bright light a rather large, almost completely black, Scizor appeared. Without a word, Lance waved his hand towards the stairs and the Scizor nodded before taking off to fly up and into the next room. “So how are you enjoying the festival so far? I hear it is one of the first ever to take place.” And hopefully the last. Yes, he brought the subject of the festival up but he figured it would get her talking more.

"To be honest, they're happy to have me... but they need little help from me. Most days, they insist I go spend the day outside. Heh, even if it's raining." Shaking her head slightly with a fond smile as she thought about them, the woman continued to look around for a moment. At his suggestion that they let Pokemon look around upstairs, she nodded. She was about to get a Pokeball of her own when the Scizor was summoned.
Blinking at it in surprise, she watched it fly up to look around. "Wow, that's an impressive Scizor. Did you raise it yourself?" Returning her attention to Lance, she chuckled. "It's actually quite fun. I won a few tokens from a 'Guess the Number' game and got myself an Illumise from the exchange booth. She's actually quite lovely. I entered her in the appeals contest they're holding. I'm confident she'll do well."
Now that the dust seemed to die down a little, she let her shirt drop from covering her mouth and nose. Peering back up curiously, she wondered what the Scizor would find. If she knew more about his demeanor, she might consider letting Chiharu explore as well, but she didn't want to test it.
While Ruka was properly distracted, Keirei decided to try another tactic. Holding up her arms, she summoned some wind. Well, not just any wind, but Icy Wind. She used it to create a chill breeze, trying to make Ruka cold without making it obvious it wasn't just a natural cold. As soon as the girl noticed it, she shivered. That was enough to get the Happiny to cease, just looking up at Lance innocently.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Old people… they never knew when they were just too old to do things. Ah well, most females were good with them anyway. They had the time to actually deal with them. Lance knew once he got old enough he’d just let everyone else do things for him. Honestly, how hard could it be to sit there and command people around? Not very. “They must be very spirited.” Lance replied softly, still smiling.
“Thank you.” He commented as she claimed his Scizor was impressive. “Raised him since he was a Scyther. I actually found him while I was in Hoenn. I’m unsure of why, but the pokemon there seem to be significantly less common.” And of course his Scizor was impressive. He didn’t let his pokemon slack off. He trained them so they would be in the best shape they could possibly be in. Everything in this world realized on power. It didn’t matter where you lived. The more power you had the greater you would be. “It sounds like you are enjoying the festival. I wish you luck at the appeal contest.” He never understood the point of beauty contests and all that crap for pokemon. They were meant for strength. Battling. Power. Not prancing around like some model or fancy ornament. What was the point of a pokemon if it wasn’t powerful? Perhaps if it were not only beautiful but also powerful. Now that would be a pokemon worth the effort.
“I’m certain you’ll enjoy the rest of the festival. My brother has a gift when it comes to holding calibrations.” He explained as his eyes looked up, waiting to see if his Scizor would find anything of interest. Hold calibrations… it was one of the only things he brother was good at. That and slacking off with his duty. It was why when the time came he would fall into a burning pit of fire when the nobles fell to their demise. “I w-” He had just turned around about to say something else when noticed her shiver. A suddenly look of worry, even if it was a fake worry, crossed his features for a moment before he suddenly smiled softly and began removing his white jacket. Once it was off he took a step towards her and wrapped it around her shoulders. “That should keep you warm.” He commented softly before looking up at the sudden sound of his Scizor returning.
“Find anything?” He asked calmly, though slightly demanding. The Scizor simply shook his head causing Lance to let out a small sigh as he pulled the pokeball back out and returned the bug type. “I seem to have no luck at all.[b/]” He let out a small laugh though inside he was quite disappointed. This trip was starting to look like a huge waste of time. Hopefully this woman would be prove to make it at least partly worth while.

"Indeed, they are," she commented with a faint chuckle. "And my mother was so worried about them... Talking about how one of them almost broke a hip or something. They're fine." Shaking her head, she thought about the two. Of course they liked to relax most of the day and cleaning was the last thing on her grandparents' lists, but she knew they preferred to have fun rather than do absolutely nothing.
As he explained the situation of his Scyther, she nodded. That was interesting... that was what her parents were trying to fix. Half to three-thirds of the Pokemon they bred were sold to regions to help keep the wild population up. "Oh, I am and thank you," she agreed in response to enjoying the festival. Then he mentioned his brother and she blinked, looking over at him. "Brother?" That confused her. Of course, she didn't really know much about the royal families so she had no idea what to think.
Blushing, she fidgeted when he put the jacket on her. "Oh, you don't have to..." she started before shaking her head slightly at herself and smiling. "Uh, thank you." Quietly, she showed her gratefulness. Keirei was quite proud of herself for getting that much out of the pair. The Happiny could tell she wasn't about to get too much more out of Lance, judging by his mostly polite demeanor.
Once the Scizor came back down, Ruka sighed softly. "I can see if my Jynx can lift us that high... but I've never asked that of her and I know she can't teleport. Or... I know!" Reaching into her messenger bag, she withdrew a Pokeball. Patting Jacques gingerly on the head, she released a shiny Golett. "Shade, we need your help. Can you lift us to the next floor?" The Pokemon peered at Lance uncertainly, seeing the jacket he'd never seen on his human before. Then he simply nodded toward Ruka.
"Fantastic! Then you can lift yourself and we can continue the process until we're at the top. Or at least until we find something. Sound good?" She seemed to ask this of both Lance and the Golett. As Shade nodded, she turned to her Happiny. "To make this easier, I'm going to put you and Jacques in your Pokeballs," she explained. Both didn't seem to enjoy this, but nodded. The Jollaby simply stuck his head in the bag and pressed the button himself, causing a red flash to appear from the bag before it shrank. Ruka then got another of the Pokeballs and returned Keirei.
Impatiently, her Pokemon then began to lift both his human and Lance toward the next floor, careful not to allow their heads to hit anything. It didn't take long for him to set them down and come up himself. "Well... that wasn't too bad," the woman remarked, holding onto the jacket to make sure it wouldn't fall off.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Her description on her grandparents didn’t interest him in the slightest but he kept that fake smile on and listened anyway. All it really managed to do was made him grateful that his grandparents and his mother were dead. His father, well, he was as good as dead anyway. Though there was a chance that the man could show up again one day. He hoped that day never came. It would awkward. “It’s good to hear” He commented politely.
Ah, he hadn’t thought about her not knowing Felis. People living in Era generally knew the dukes of there area but it would make sense that someone who wasn’t from around the area wouldn’t know them. “Felis Rosi.” Lance stated his brothers name, “He is the duke of east and the allowing most of the festival to be held in his castle.” And he would be avoiding visiting that place while the festival was going on, unless… perhaps he could pursue a date with her there. It would help fool Felis into thinking Lance was really there for good intentions. It would also help him woo her. Though he would wait and ask for this date later. Perhaps find out a bit more about her first.
He knew she was going to fuss a little about the jacket being set on her but he also knew she wouldn’t hand it back. No woman did when they were cold. At least, none that he had offered his coat to before had. Besides, he didn’t take the answer of ‘no’ very well. He was extremely good at getting the things he wanted and working his way around anyone who tried to stand their ground and tell him no. He had yet to fail at changing their minds.
Her suggestion to have her Jynx lift them up to the next room sort of bothered him. He didn’t like the idea of being lifted against his will and he didn’t like the idea of trusting the power of something that wasn’t ever tested. He had a good feeling that if he were dropped he wouldn’t be able to keep his temper held in. Luckily she came up with a better idea. “A Golett?” He asked softly, looking at the pokemon with mild interest. He had never seen one before but this one look as if it were in rather good shape. They were said to be ghost type pokemon and yet it didn’t look like a ghost at all. Perhaps that was only it’s outside shell though. The glowing energy in the middle of the pokemon could very well be the true pokemon. Kind of like how a Gastly was nothing more than a ball of gas.
When the Golett agreed to lift Ruka and himself up to the next room, Lance had told back a scowl. He wasn’t so certain about being lifted by a pokemon’s mind but then, it would help him to get further up into the tower. “I thank you for you’re help, umm, Shade was it?” He thanked the Golett, keeping that kind and genital act on. “It believe it sounds just fine.” Lance then turned to look back at Ruka and replied. He then waited silently as she returned to the other two smaller pokemon and sucked in a rather deep breath before the ghost type finally lifted them off the ground. The flight it’s self wasn’t as bad as he had believed it might be. It did, however, feel a bit odd being picked up without something holding you.
Once he was on the ground again, his deep sea blue eyes began to scan the dark room. There seemed to be a few papers littering the floor and small beams of light seeping through the boarded up windows. He mildly wondered why the paper was scattered around and even bent down to pick one up and study it. It turned out to be nothing more than a blank piece of paper and with small sigh he let it fall back down to the ground as he stood up again. “It’s a bit difficult to see in here.” He commented as he slowly made his way across the room, his heavy boots making rather loud ‘thuds’ as he walked. “It appears to be empty though.” [/scrolly] [bg=black] |

"Oh... I see. I guess I just didn't think about who was running the festival. Thinking about all the work and money that has to be put into it kind of takes away from the fun," she remarked with a faint chuckle. Once he'd agreed that it was fine for Shade to lift them, she smiled. It didn't take long for them to be up to the next floor and looking around.
When he finally mentioned that it was difficult to see, she nodded. "That can be fixed as well." Releasing Chiharu, her Illumise, she asked for her to use Flash to light up the area. The firefly's rear end began to glow, working as a a lantern of sorts. "There," the woman remarked rather happily, glancing around. "But you are right, of course. Next floor?"

The room seemed rather empty for a while, but suddenly the flash went off and there was a pokemon in a corner. It suddenly let out a loud cry. <Turn the lights off! DDDX I'm trying to sleep!> it calls out in pokemon language. It had it's wings over it's eyes now. The pokemon was a little Hoothoot that must not have been too old.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] “He truly loves holding festivals.” and wasting valuable money and time… Lances mind growled though his words had sounded loving, almost caring. It didn’t matter if Felis wasted money or time. It would only feed his own down fall in the end. The sweat, bitter downfall of him and every single, pitiful, worthless noble alive. He couldn’t wait for the day when he would have the chance to bathe in their demise. It almost made him shiver in excitement.
Lance smiled softly as the light flooded the room, revealing the old and broken furniture that littered the room. “Y-” He had hardly been able to even start his reply when a string of sudden hoot’s filled the room. It was extremely irritating, causing a scowl to cross Lances features as he turned sharply on his heal to glare at the creature. It was nothing more than a worthless Hoothoot. Hardly worth his time. “Unless you are interested in that,” He tried to calm himself as he spoke, though his words were slightly harsher than he had intended them to be, “Then I would say yes.” He turned, his soft smile crossing his lips again before he added, “I’d like to check the second floor.”
It did make him wonder though; how many floors were there? The tower had looked extremely tall and as far as they knew there could be at least twenty or more to explore. Vipin was a fast pokemon but they were nothing more than humans. It prove to be difficult. However, if she was willing to exploring them and he surely would not argue it. [/scrolly] [bg=black] |

<Oh, we're sorry,> Chiharu offered, turning her behind away from the bird so as to block the light. The woman watched Lance's reaction and inwardly took note of the agitation. It was just a poor little owl that they'd now disturbed. "Go on up to the second floor, Chiharu. If there's something up there that would make it difficult for Shade to set us down, flash twice." The Illumise nodded and headed up to the second floor to check, taking the light with her.

Up in the second floor, there was another hoothoot sleeping. It wasn't really doing anything to be a threat, so no flashes went off for it. It seemed to just cover it's eyes from the light. A Starly took off when the light came shining in. A Tailow was also flying around next to the Starly. A Chatot went flying after them soon after. Not much seemed to be there, besides birds. A Rufflet was sitting on the ground, staring into the light. This meant there was no flash at all, until a Staraptor came soaring down through the floor above towards the little Illumise. It let out a shriek and kept attempting to scare off the Illumise. A Pelipper was also sitting in the room.
Down on the bottom floor, something seemed to have made it's way through the dark. It was hard to tell, since the light was gone now, but it appeared to be a Woobat, though it looked a bit funny. It was hard to tell why though.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance fell silent as he listed to the woman ask her Illumise to go up to the next floor to check it out. He almost felt useless being unable to send any of his pokemon up there to check it out himself. So far they had only found a bird pokemon though. Scizor had already checked out the place quickly and most likely knew Lance wouldn’t have been interested in the bird types. It was hard to say exactly how far up the Scizor had searched. Most likely the pokemon hadn’t gone too far up knowing all too well that Lance wouldn’t have been able to get the pokemon anyway.
“Sounds like there is a ruckus going on up there.” Lance claimed as his head tilted up, hearing the commotion in the room above him. He was about to suggest they go up to check it out but paused upon hearing another sound. This sound was in the room with them but he couldn’t see well enough to know where or what it was. “Be careful.” He said calmly, making his way to stand next to Ruka. He then reached down to his belt and pulled out another poke ball. With a flash of red light a rather tall, oddly coloured Sceptile appeared. “Use flash.” He commanded it. Vipin, nodded and slowly a dim light began to glow in his tail, flooding the room enough to see a bit. It was a slightly different light than her Illumise gave off but it worked well enough.

Chiharu had screeched in surprise at the big birds starting to harass her and let off multiple flashes out of shock. "Come on back down!" The woman called quickly, worried for the poor firefly. Her gaze was fixed upward, waiting for her Illumise to come back down, to a safer area. She hadn't noticed anything on their level that was out of the ordinary until Lance was stepping closer, telling her to be careful. Ruka blinked and turned her attention to where he was looking.
The Golett had noticed as well, and his attention was on the Woobat. He wasn't afraid of it, of course, but was just keeping an eye out for his human. Both woman and Pokemon jumped a little when the Grass-type was released, simply out of not expecting it. When the Sceptile used Flash, they both calmed down and looked again toward the Woobat.
