[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance blinked a few times watching as the bird played it’s hair. He really had no idea what it was doing but after a little while it seemed pretty upset. Perhaps he was failing at this ‘talking to pokemon’ thing already. It wasn’t until Ruka handed the bird a bottle of water that he finally caught on to what the bird was trying to do. Or at least he thought the bird was trying to do. “But those are feathers.” Lance stated looking at the bird as one of his eyebrows raised. “The bigger they are the larger the crown and the more noble you are.” At least that’s how it normally worked in the world of birds but Lance didn’t understand that every pokemon was it’s own unique individual just like humans. Some liked fluffy hair and others didn’t.
Vipin was taken back by the Togetic’s sudden outburst to get him to talk. He almost wanted to just push it away and run but he knew pushing it might cause a fight. He couldn’t start a fight without his masters permission. He knew Lance would get mad if he did. <I- I - I don’t know what to say.> He replied in his low voice, rather nervous now. It was rare to see Vipin nervous. Normally he just came out to do what he was asked to do and then returned to his pokeball. Actually being out and not having something to do other than giving off a bit of light was rather different and… oh, he didn’t want to be out anymore.
When the Dragon came down with the small bird pokemon, Lance’s attention was finally drawn away from the Rufflet. For once his eyes actually lit up, after all, the dragon types had the been the original reason he came here. But it looked like it was holding something. A bird? Not to mention that the Illumise was following closely behind. He loved the dragon types as they were, in his mind, very powerful but he wouldn’t take any pokemon from this woman’s clutches.

The little Rufflet was about to use the water to wet his feathers, but then he caught what Lance said. He stepped away from the water bottle and his eyes lit up. <I'm... noble? ._.> he asks slowly. He suddenly looked really happy until he was ignored by Lance who was watching the dragon now.
The little Togetic frowned when the pokemon still didn't do anything. <Well... what's your name? What do you like to do? Can you sing? Do you like singing? Would you sing for me? I like to sing ^_^ > the Togetic says, suddenly rambling on about singing so much that he had no idea what he was talking about anymore and just stared at the shiny pokemon.
The dragon gulped as it saw the trainers. <Is... this your baby? I... can't just leave it.. but it needs it's mom!> the Dragon says, sounding angry and like he would attack, but he didn't mean to. The baby pokemon was just crying for it's mommy some more.
The Murkrow was being moved, but it suddenly woke up and hopped in the air. It karate chopped the pokemon with it's wing. <You thought you could sneak up on me!!!> it suddenly calls out.

At Lance's comment toward the Rufflet and the following response, she smiled. It was some progress, at least. He was trying to reassure the bird. Or at least that's how it seemed to Ruka. Watching the dragon, she looked toward Chiharu for a translation. The firefly pointed between the two Pokemon and made a motion like rocking a baby before lifting her arms in an X to show that this assumption was incorrect. She hoped -- and was apparently correct -- that Ruka would realize that the Druddigon was the one rather distressed.
Smiling, it became apparent she wasn't worried about the large Pokemon attacking. After all, Chiharu wasn't defensive, so she felt it wouldn't make sense for the Illumise to be fairly comfortable around him if he were dangerous. "Having some trouble, are we? We can help look for the poor girl's mother." She'd done this before... Hopefully a Mandibuzz would be as understanding as a Kangaskhan. She did like the Druddigon, of course, and she did have some Pokemon from the same egg group. However, she'd leave the option for Lance to catch him. It was the whole reason he was here, after all.
Shade looked surprised at first. At the accusation, he simply glared. <Aren't you the ungrateful fowl? I was just trying to move you away from the edge so we wouldn't knock you off. There are some humans downstairs which we will likely want to move up here soon. If you'd like... I can knock you down there so you can meet them?>

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Help the dragon look for… a pokemons mother? That was just ridiculous but then… Well, if it would make the woman happy than he had no choice but to do it. First, however, he was talking to this tiny bird. This woman, she was everything he found annoying and yet she was pretty. It wasn’t the drop down gorgeous that some women had or even the seductive beauty but something about her was beautiful to Lance. He had no idea if others would agree with him but in his mind, anyone he believed was gorgeous was and others just had to agree. He was certain Felis would agree and that’s what truly mattered. The young man would probably like her personality as well. Felis was weak that way which made her perfect. That’s when a thought came to mind.
“My birthday is Sunday.” Lance announced, looking down at the bird pokemon than at Ruka, “I shall be visiting my brother and Rosa that day as well. Would you like to join me?” He asked Ruka first before digging into his pocket and pulling out a poke ball and looking back at the Rufflet, “You could come as well.” he held the pokeball out to the Rufflet. He was certain this would be a good idea. Having Ruka around would calm down Felis and give him a bit more of a human look towards Lance. At least, Lance hoped. She could also back up everything he did today. If Felis heard that he was actually talking to pokemon then maybe… he was thinking too much again.
Vipin stood there, listening as the Togetic rambled on about singing. He… wasn’t really sure if he liked music let alone singing. Eventually after he felt the Togetic had rambled on enough about singing he finally shook his head, then, just to be mean to Lance (After all, the man had been ignoring him) he pointed over to Lance. <He likes singing> He claimed.

The Rufflet looked at the pokeball and suddenly shook his head. He liked this guy, but he didn't want to go yet. It was too early. They only exchanged a few words!
The Druddingon stood there with the bird. "Y....or....s?" he asks extremely slowly, unable to really pronounce the word right in his deep voice. ^^ He wasn't the smartest, but he knew a tiny bit of English... though almost all of the words he could say were pronounced a little wrong.
The Murkrow looked at the Golett and sighed. <I thought you were 'The Great Crow Eater'.> the Murkrow says slowly. What that was... it was hard to tell.
The Togetic, falling for the trick, went over to Lance and smiled. <Sing!> he calls out quickly.

At Lance's claim about his birthday, Ruka looked baffled. That was an amazing coincidence! His offer for her to come along and that he was going to see his siblings made her expression brighten a bit. "Well that's wonderful. You can talk to them then. I don't mind coming along for moral support," she offered. Either she was acting oblivious to his actual intent or she was simply avoiding it. In truth, she was rather oblivious. She hadn't had much interaction with friends, much less a romantic relationship.
Returning her attention to the dragon, she blinked. It took her a moment to realize what he'd said before she gasped. "OH! Oh, um... well, no, but uh... I can take care of her. What about you? Being able to form human words is quite the skill for a Pokemon. There aren't all that many that can even begin to do so," she told him. If he was to hand over the Vullaby, she'd take it from him but it was fairly obvious she didn't want him to leave right away.
<The what?> Shade was simply floored by the words. The Great Crow Eater? He couldn't imagine the ungainly creature in front of him being tasty in the least... What creature would focus on eating Pokemon and animals of that makeup?
Watching the Flying-type ask about singing of both Vipin and Lance got a giggle out of the Illumise. She could sing... sort of. Fluttering closer to him, she began to hum. Just to get his attention first, then she'd make a point to go farther. The Togetic was actually quite cute; maybe she could grab his attention more permanently.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance looked at the Rufflet in confusion before standing up and shrugging. It seemed talking to pokemon was just as useless as he had figured it to be. He had asked it to a birthday calibration and yet it didn’t even want come. It would have been much easier just to knock it out. No little tiny thing like it could stand up to even his grass type. But it wasn’t worth it and his attention was soon taken away when Ruka agreed to come to his brothers. “Splendid” he replied with a smile, “Words can’t even explain how thankful I am.” He gave a small bow.
It was then that the dragon began to… speak… in an attempt to explain what was going on. With the speech Lance lost interest in the dragon all together. He had no use for a pokemon who thought it was human. He would rather one who staid silent and did as it were told. No, there were plenty of dragons out there like it and he would find a better one.
It was then that his attention was drawn to the Togetic for the first time. He had no idea what it had just demanded from him but he did like it’s demanding personality. It meant strength. At least, in his mind it did. “I’m not sure what you want.“ Lance bluntly stated as he didn’t understand pokemon speech. However when the Illumise began to hum Lance frowned and turned to it. “It’s rude to interrupt a conversation.” He told it in a very calm voice before his eyes returned to the Togetic. It would be a perfect gift for Rosa. He wanted it. “What do you think of young girls?” He asked it with a small smile. “Particularly ones who think they are princesses, have lots of toys and loves to play and sing?” Yup, that Rosa alright.

The Rufflet was suddenly ignored, and found itself pouting and eventually starting to leave. The Dragon pokemon seemed to sigh when she said no. He struggled so hard with that one word DX He really couldn't pronounce it right, and it usually got him angry. He shook his head angrily when she went on about human language. Ugh... He wished he could speak to humans better. He just wanted to give this baby to somebody and be done with it. Togetic seemed rather happy when Lance looked down at him, but he didn't sing. DDDX <Sing! I said....> his voice suddenly fell silent as he heard the humming. He was about to tell her to sing too, but he heard something about a.... A princess that loved to sing? LIKE THOSE MOVIES He suddenly started to cheer happily. That sounded amazing! ^_^ And toys... and playing and.... He was so happy, he couldn't even think anymore. The murkrow looked at him. <The great crow eater! Well... we really don't know if he eats them.. but he's big and takes them away so.. I assume so.> the Murkrow says rather quickly.

Her? Interrupt? How was humming even interrupting? Giving him a dark glare, she turned again to the Togetic and smiled brightly. <You are quite the looker, aren't you? I bet you can sing even better than some princess.> As she said this, she waved her arm at Lance as if to dismiss him. She was attempting to use Flatter to keep the other Pokemon's attention on her rather than the man's.
All of a sudden, Ruka was feeling a little overwhelmed. Turning, she saw the Rufflet starting to walk away and felt a tinge of pity for him. "Hey, Rufflet. Can you come here for a moment?" Looking back up at the dragon, she sighed. "I don't mind taking the poor thing off your hands... but I don't know if she'll come with me. Is she attached to you or is she crying for her real mother?" She also knew she should do something about Chiharu... but she was more focused on the other Pokemon at the moment. Lance had given up so easily on the bird that she doubted she could help him. No wonder he couldn't get forgiveness if he gave up like that...
Shade just shook his head at the Murkrow and sighed softly. <Look... I have no idea what you're talking about, but maybe I can help? Is it another Pokemon? What does it look like? Do you have any idea where it heads after taking crows?> [/scrolly] |

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance smiled as the Togetic cheered but soon found himself glaring at the bug type as it once again tried to take the Togetic’s attention away. There wasn’t much he could do about it other than suggest that Rosa was fun to play with. He knew she was so that at least wasn’t a lie. He couldn’t get mad at the bug without blowing his cover, though he greatly wanted to. Not to mention that he had no idea what either of the pokemon had said. “She has her own tower and garden you could explore too.” Maybe the cheerful pokemon would be attracted to that. Meanwhile Vipin just stood there giving off his light.

The Rufflet turned as he was called, but quickly saw the girl's attention turn back to the dragon. That wasn't exactly reassuring, but he'd see what she wanted he supposed... Rather downtroddenly, he moved back toward Ruka slightly.
The Druddigon found himself ever more frustrated as the human insisted on asking such big questions all at once. He barely knew where to start, and he certainly wasn't sure how to convey it all. "N....no.. ... ser?" he fumbled. "M... mabe... mur?" Oh that was horrible. Simply horrible! He would get this eventually though..
Meanwhile, the Togetic was taken aback by the bug's audacious claim, but found himself blushing a bit all the same. Whether this was due to flattery or Flatter no one could really say. He started to open his mouth to explain just how great princesses really were, but Lance's comment quickly brought him back to that. 8U OH GOD A PRINCESS IN A TOWER YES. "Tee tokee to teka teeeee!!!!" he brilled in excitement, while his mind gave off in Pokemon 'speech' something to the effect of <I need to meet her!>
The Murkrow was silenced a bit when the gastly earthbeast brought up the idea of describing the monster. <.__. Oh well it's uh...> he started. He.. hadn't actually seen the beast up close or anything. What had those stories said? Hmm... After a few moments of trying to recall, he slowly started, <It's... really tall? .... And green! And eeeeeevil!!> he cried.

"I think you're quite handsome, by the way, but if you don't like how you look, you have to assume that others might feel that negativity from you. Would you mind helping me look for this Vullaby's mother? I'm sorry to ask it of you... but I want to help both of them," she explained before glancing back up at the dragon. His words didn't make any sense to her and as a result, she sighed and looked over to Chiharu.
The Illumise was still fawning over the Togetic for a moment, but hearing his words and reactions were putting her off. When Ruka finally called, "Chiharu, can you please come here? I need you to translate for me." The firefly sighed and fluttered over, peering up at the Druddigon and his pseudo-baby. "I'm trying to figure out if the Vullaby is attached to him or if she's looking for her real mother. That's all I need to know for now."
While the bug waited for something to translate, Shade was upstairs looking rather baffled. <There's nothing I can do with such a description. Just... be careful, okay? I'll leave you alone now. I'm heading back downstairs with the others. We might come back up this way, so don't attack them like you did me, deal?> The Golett had no idea what to think of this creature and his story and he didn't really feel like dealing with it anymore, either. So he started to float back down, landing beside the Druddigon and looking up at him curiously. He was actually somewhat surprised the dragon hadn't relinquished the bird to either of the humans... perhaps he was more attached than he let on. [/scrolly] |

The Rufflet side, hardly convinced by the delayed compliment, and when she quickly asked for his help he assumed it no more than an attempt to flatter to increase odds of him agreeing. All the same, it seemed to work. He couldn't see any harm in helping the poor Vullaby... He looked up to Ruka and nodded.
Hearing the bug was apparently supposed to help him, the Druddigon explained in his more natural manner, <I'm not really sure if she wants me or just anyone.. but.. She's gotta have a mother around her somewhere, right? ... Maybe?> For all that he kept up that hope, he couldn't help but be skeptic. He just prayed he wasn't going to be stuck raising the poor girl forever.
As the Golett left, the Murkow began to tear up. <But but BUT!> He huddled up as he cried frantically, <THE CROW-EATER! Don't LEAVE me for iiitttt!> However, he was too afraid to move and just sat shaking.
The Togetic jumped back a bit when he saw the PokeBall. He didn't want to be confined! Dx ... But.. then again, he did want to go? ._. ... >> Really badly.. But couldn't he fly? >3< ..... << But it might be a really long trip... ;-; OH GOD what if he fell BEHIND and got LOST and then couldn't get home OR find them!? >> << Home was really great... But.. but.. <PRINCESSSSSSSSSSSS!!> he cried, leaping toward to PokeBall and being absorbed in a flash of light.

"Thank you very much. Hopefully it won't take too long to find her," Ruka answered and looked to Chiharu for the translation.
The Illumise listened to him and nodded. <I'm sure the mother is around somewhere. Let's just hope the little one isn't too attached to you.> Turning to her human, she tapped her chin in thought. How to portray what she needed to say...? Hm. She pretended to be the child and reached up toward the Druddigon as if she wanted to be picked up before stopping and looking confused. She hoped this would portray the confusion on what the Vullaby actually thought and it did seem to work.
Ruka chewed her lip slightly as she watched but nodded her head. She'd try to help the Druddigon find this Vullaby's mother. So she turned to the Rufflet and asked, "Have you seen any Mandibuzz or possibly even another Vullaby around here recently?" There was no guarantee that the mother was evolved, after all...
When the Murkrow started throwing such a fit, Shade sighed. <Well... then come with me. Maybe my human will help find this 'crow-eater' and get rid of it... or she could let you come with us. Never know.> He shrugged at this. The idea of having the crazy bird join them didn't appeal to him, necessarily, but he wouldn't be able to argue with Ruka. [/scrolly] |

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance grinned at the newly filled pokeball in his hand before looking up at the at the bug pokemon and glaring at it for a moment. Annoying little thing. However, he now had the first half of his gift collected. The second he doubted he would find here, but he wouldn’t wash it from his mind. After watching the poke ball disapear from his hands, Lance looked over to Ruka before turning his attention to the dragon. This was annoying. From the sounds of it, they were going to be searching for some whinny pokemon’s parents. Why couldn’t the dragon do it on it’s own? Well, he had to hold his tongue on this one. After all, it wouldn’t be very good wooing if she ended up not liking him. Right?
“Where will we start looking?” Lance asked, turning his attention back to Ruka once more, “Should we check the higher levels?” He doubted the pokemon’s parents were on the lower levels. After all, they had already been down below and there hadn’t been much there. After his question he had an urge to ask if the parents would even be alive still. After all, the pokemon was wild. Anything could have happened to them. This entire search could be a waste of even more time. But he decided to keep his mouth shut on that subject as well. Upsetting the pokemon might upset Ruka and he didn’t want that happening.

The Rufflet, Vullaby, and Druddigon all seemed in general agreement, just looking to Ruka's answer on this for now. Actually, the Vullaby didn't seem to care one way or the other as long as she didn't end up all scared and alone, but everyone else was looking that way, and she'd heard the word mother a few times, so...
<Nuuuu!!> the Murkrow flailed at the comment on coming with them. <Humans are scary too!!> he cried overdramatically. All the same, he hopped up and over to all but cling to the Golett. <I.. don't mind if it gets rid of the Crow-Eater though..> He gulped rather loudly. 'It' was probably the human in question.

Using Telekinesis, he slowly lowered himself back down to the level with the two humans and the other Pokemon. Chiharu was too distracted by translating and the like to notice Lance's glare. She and Ruka had to assume the Rufflet's answer was no and the woman sighed softly. Looking back up at Lance, she nodded. "That sounds like the most logical course of action." When her attention turned to her Golett, however, she realized he had another Pokemon with him and she blinked. "What's up with this one, then...?"
After a few gestures and mumbling, the Illumise giggled softly. Fluttering over, she gave the Murkrow a gentle pat on the head. Ruka, however, didn't quite get the message. Chewing her lip, she just gave a soft sigh. "Well, I'm not sure what it is but he can accompany us while we look for this Vullaby's mother. Maybe whatever it is will come to light while we search," she commented, hopeful. Without having to be told, Shade started to use Telekinesis again on those that couldn't fly. He took them up two levels this time, not seeing any reason to stop at a floor they'd already bothered. Of course, Chiharu stayed close to be used as a light... and for her own protection from the birds. [/scrolly] |

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance stood there, watching and listening as the mess of pokemon multiplied with the return of the ghost type and a new comer stuck to his back. The Rufflet seemed to decline wanting to help them which didn’t shock Lance in the slightest. They were pokemon after all. Brainless, animals that were good for nothing more than battling. One could train them to do things such as helping, but one could also train a normal dog to as well. But these were things Lance wouldn’t say aloud in front of her. He had no comment, or at least, no nice comments about the crow and thus decided to stay quiet. Finally the Golett used his powers to bring them up not one, but two floors. Lance figured that meant the other floor was empty. When he was set down, he began to look around spotting nothing but paper littering the floor right off the start. Vipin, meanwhile, just let out a sigh as he stood there, allowing his tail to continue to glow. He was bored and he didn’t like this place. He also didn't like this woman. He was certain it was because of her that Lance wasn't allowing him to just battle the pokemon they saw.

And as such the group of pokemon came to the floor with the humans. The Rufflet sighed quietly not really saying much of anything at that point while the Vullaby just began to look around once more making quiet whimpering noises as she tried to call for her mother to appear. The Druddigon sighed quietly to himself before starting to look around. Meanwhile, the Murkrow was tightening considerably and whimpering incessantly about the Crow Eater that was going to kill him for sure.
Far off in the corner of the room, a pair of eyes was now watching the group. However, whatever was hiding there was hidden well behind a slight convex dip in the wall itself. If Ruka looked straight up, she'd actually catch sight of a Golbat hanging from the ceiling rather lazily. She'd been up all night before and was catching some needed R&R. A male Unfezant was standing precariously on a window not too far away, yet that seemed to be it pokemon wise.
Upon not finding her mother, the Vullaby cried out quietly in distress causing the Woobat to stir in his napping place.
