One Busy Hospital (Elayne/Cora/Open)

The sudden flying child that was Kitty was -or so Felis perceived her the moment she flung herself at him- was just as suddenly attached to the blond, and all Felis could do was smile. Hugging her back, if a bit awkwardly, Felis smiled a little. "Of course..." he said a bit quieter than intended. "And then you'll get to play with Rosa a bit more hm?" he asked brightening up considerably if only due to Kitty's reaction. "And Ryan'll be around people he knows, and it'll be good, Kitty..." he smiled feeling some surprised but welcomed relief.

Haiiro leaned back into his bed and shut his eyes. Hearing Felicia move over towards Dedrick, he opened one eye again and watched the woman rather carefully. Whatever had possessed him earlier was coming back again, and an obscure need to make sure that he was safe curled its way into Haii. Damn it, it wasn't like he could do anything even if he wasn't but the feeling wouldn't go away. Sighing, Haiiro began to force himself to sit up again looking at the bed and then at the floor. Doing his best to swing his legs over the gate, he only succeeded in getting himself stuck. A few swear words hit the air, but Haiiro continued to try and get to his feet.

Bernard frowned slightly when he saw Cora's demeanor change so quickly and stepped forward before putting his arms around her. Even if he had only just met her he still didn't want to see Cora cry...especially if he had contributed to it in any way. "Shhhh...."Bernard whispered, rubbing Cora's back just as did with Elayne whenever she was upset.

Elayne's eyes grew as she saw Cora start crying. She wanted to go over there and hug her like Bernard was doing but....with this ankle it wasn't going to happen anytime soon... "Cora?"Elayne stated in a concerned voice, hoping that she hadn't said or done anything wrong.

Jalicia was surprised when Kitty suddenly flung herself at Felis but managed to smile. This was...this was good...even if she didn't know what was going to happen from here, seeing Kitty happy even for a little while was worth it. Looking at Felis, Jalicia managed to smile a little more and nodded her thanks to him. "An' I'm sure Dedrick will like ta seeya again. I ain't sure when ya last seen 'im last but he's grown a bit I'm sure..."Jalicia said in a little more cheerful voice than before. It had been a while since she had seen Dedrick as well...but she had been rather busy and... A quiet sigh escaped Jalicia as she realized how long it had been since she'd seen any of her family....and now...now she wouldn't get the chance to...say goodbye.....

Dedrick barely heard Felicia's words before he felt arms wrap around him. Not caring whose they were at the moment, he simply clung to her and cried. He...still couldn't believe that everyone...everyone was gone... Dedrick was crying so hard that he didn't even hear Haii's movements or the resulting swear words that followed. Just at that moment, Lance reappeared in the doorway and blinked when he saw Haii attempting to get out of bed. Walking over to the man, the Gallade did his best to help Haii out of bed (whether he wanted help or not) before saluting, "I have found that Dedrick...the boy does in fact have a living relative. Felis is with her at the moment along with a young girl that goes by the name of 'Kitty' from what I could tell,"Lance informed Haiiro before looking at Felicia and Dedrick. It appeared that the boy's sobs weren't going to let up anytime soon...but hopefully the news would lift his spirits at least some.

The response was to both. Felis had lots and lots of money (he lived in a castle after all!), which meant he could afford the very best doctors and helpers to get Ryan better. And.. a never-ending slumber party with Rosa and Dedrick? Well- not never-ending, but a really reeeaaally long one. That would be great! She wiped some snot and tears on her good sleep. "..You'll really like the gardens, Jae!" she said, a little brighter. The child had no idea what a pathetic attempt at consolation that really was, as she had no idea what Jalicia had really lost today. "Nerina and Muffin too~" Slowly but surely, her spirits were lifting, and she gave a weak laugh. "This is gonna be--" She cut off, and her mood fell again. She'd meant to say 'the best', but as she went to, she realized... no. The 'best' would be for everyone to have stayed safe and happy and not gotten hurt at all ever. <:'[ .. She sighed. When Bernard hugged her Cora tensed up a little before relaxing and accepting the hug. She then hugged her Father back as the tears started to freely flow. Her emotions where just so out of whack she had no idea what she was feeling. Just so much has happened Cora was not able to to control her emotions at the moment. Cora clung to her Father for a few minutes before pulling back and wiping some of her tears away. Heh, sorry... Its just.. So much.." Cora was unable to finish before she started to cry again. Though this time she reach out and hugged Bernard and cried into his shoulder. Cinccino who was will in Bernard's arms jumped from him when he got closer to Cora and started to snuggle into her. D8 She did not like to see Cora cry and would do her best to cheer her up.


Felicia fought back tears as the young boy clung to her and cried his heart out. Felicia held him as close as she could, She did not know his story but due to the way he was crying he must of lost a lot.. Not knowing what to say she just kept hugging Dedrick. When Lance came in Felicia looked sideways at him. But then looked back at the boy and started to hum a little. Like she did when Cora was upset when she was younger.

Felis listened as Kitty talked, and though she faltered at the end, he managed to smile a little. "It will be," he reassured. "Huh.....has it been a while since you two have eaten? I could probably find something or something..." he hummed after a moment.

Though he detested the Gallade helping him, Haiiro could do virtually nothing about it. After being set right, Haiiro stood weakly for a moment before shaking his head and stepping closer to Dedrick and Felicia. "Damn... that's ... good at least..." Haiiro replied before walking towards Dedrick and Felicia only to stop a moment. "Hey...the Gallade found someone you know.. want to go talk to her or something?" Haiiro asked coming off a bit more weak than intended. As if to compensate for this, he stood up a little taller which only caused his shoulders to hurt.

[Maid Melody]

Jalicia smiled slightly at Kitty's mention of the gardens and nodded,"I'm sure they're mighty pretty Kitty,"she replied quietly before the girl continued. When Kitty faltered Jalicia searched for something...anything she could say when an idea came to mind...well now, if the nurses would allow it that was bound to cheer Kitty up. "Speaking of Muffin, wouldya like to see that lil' sugarplum?"Jalicia asked in as bright a voice as she could manage, glancing around to see where her pokeballs had been placed. Spotting them on a nearby table, Jalicia picked up Muffin's pokeball and handed it to Kitty,"That lil' cuddle Muffin would certainly love to seeya dontcha think?"she asked before hearing Felis ask if they were hungry. Considering Jalicia had woken up only a little while ago she actually didn't know how long it had been since she'd eaten... After hearing what had happened during the bombing...Jalicia had no appetite whatsoever, her stomach felt like someone had tied knots in it as it was... Smiling slightly at Felis, Jalicia shook her head,"Thankya hun' but I'm fine fer the time being, what 'bout you Kitten?"she replied kindly before looking at Kitty.

Bernard closed his eyes when Cora hugged him back. He was grateful that she had accepted his touch but even still seeing her cry made him feel like a knife was piercing his heart. He wanted so much to take whatever pain was hurting his little girl away but for now all he could do was hold her and hope everything would be all right. After a time, Cora pulled away from him and apologized. Shaking his head, Bernard smiled and wiped away a few stray tears,"You have nothing to be sorry about...today's been hard on all of us,"he replied quietly before wrapping his arms around Cora yet again and humming a gentle melody, not saying anything more for the time being.

Elayne watched the exchange between Bernard and Cora and just wished that she could do something...anything at all. There was really only so much she could say...besides, anything that Elayne would have said Bernard had already spoken. Sighing quietly, Elayne tried to think of what she could possibly say or do that would make Cora feel better...though no matter how hard she tried, no words came...

After a short time, Dedrick's sobbing quieted to sniffles though he still clung to Felicia. Hearing Haii's words, Dedrick loosened his hold on Felicia slightly and looked up at Haiiro first, then the Gallade. "R...really...?"he asked/whispered quietly, wanting to believe it but almost too scared to dare hope that it was true,"You really found...someone...?" Lance smiled at the boy and nodded,"Indeed I have...I believe her name is Jae and currently she is with a young girl called 'Kitty',"he replied in a quiet, gentle voice. Dedrick's eyes grew wide at the news as another sob escaped him. Relief flooded through him at hearing that Jae was alive and he simply clung to Felicia all the more before nodding,"Yes..."he managed before taking a deep breath and attempting to continue,"I want to....sissy......."
