"Let's hope so,"Carly muttered more to herself than anyone before taking another sip just as Lyall spoke up. " ..... shaddap ... ,"Carly retorted, not willing to admit that Lyall had been right after all.
Taking another (considerably smaller) sip of the amontillado, Carly swallowed as the burning eased ... well, she supposed it was rather good if you got past the burning sensation. Realizing Alex was looking at her, Carly was about to bring it up when Alex's attention seemed to be on something else ... ooookay then ... maybe she had just imagined it after all. When Lyall finished the rest of his drink off rather quickly, Carly blinked ... how did he ... bah, he was a bartender >>;; and just because he could drink te amontillado without flinching didn't mean anything. Still, it was quite amusing to see Lyall get so excited over a drink of all things. Smirking, Carly set her drink back down and leaned back against the counter,"Maybe we'll get to see him wasted after all ... ,"she whispered to Alex before picking up her drink once again and taking another sip. .... OK that still burned like crazy but it wasn't as bad as the first time at least ... . Still, Carly preferred the strawberry drink Lyall usually fixed for her, at least that didn't burn her throat as much.[/scrolly] |

[ Alex / Delilah ] [scrolly:h(280),w(400),sy,as(margin:15px 5px 15px 30px;padding-right:10px;)]Lilah mused over things a little, and... eh. Iris seemed to have killed conversation pretty effectively, and she really wasn't so concerned she'd put forth any real effort to start it back up. Naturally, she turned instead to eavesdropping on the closest people, who happened to be Lyall and co. Alex just continued sipping lightly at her drink, chuckling at Lyall's actions and moreso at Carly's response. Before she could reply, though, another voice cut her off, turning Alex's own expression flat. "Let's hope so," Delilah teased. "That could be interesting to see."Of course, a small part of her was afraid it wouldn't be 'interesting' at all, but.. Lilah wasn't really afraid of drunks. She was only afraid of violent drunks, and by extension those from whom she didn't know what to expect. But even then, being in public was different. She highly doubted she'd be going home with anyone tonight, especially Lyall considering her past efforts (though dammit, it wasn't going to stop her from making her usual attempt at least once). No, she should be in public for most or all of the night.. which meant if anything got out of hand, someone should notice and do something. Also, there were enough potential targets that no single person should be too greatly at risk by default. Heh... Trying to ignore the olive-skinned woman as best as she could while not abandoning the topic completely, Alex asked- perhaps a bit ironically, considering Delilah's preceding thoughs- "So what kind of drunk are you?" She tried to sound more teasing than curious, but it came out about equal parts of both. [/scrolly]

The comments about Lyall getting drunk made her smile a little, and she looked at Delilah. "Ya know, I think for the first time ever, I agree with you," she replied with a smirk, her tone of voice lighter and less harsh than it had been when she entered. The woman's eyes continued to scan the room as she made sure her jacket was draped over a chair.
She finished off her drink, thinking over the possibilities. Her little....problem...didn't ALWAYS happen. And there were enough people here where she thought she was safe to drink freely. Or maybe she hadn't drank in so long she forgot how good it was. Oh well.

"Eh? Happy drunk I guess?" he chuckled a little shrugging his shoulders a bit and sipping some more. "'Lexi used to tell me some things I did while drunk, but I don't tend to remember 'em," he answered back chuckling to himself as particular stories came to mind. He was pretty sure Alexis strained a couple of things, but Lyall could never be too sure. M... I should prolly slow down just a bit... came a thought, yet after a moment, Lyall just shrugged his shoulders again and put the thought aside. He'd slow down after the next drink, right? Right.

Carly hadn't invited her to the conversation and in fact wasn't interested in talking with the woman at all. Really =3=;; couldn't people just mind their own business ... and no it really didn't matter that Lyall invited her to join the party, she spent too much time with Lyall to begin with. Carly could hardly find any time to spend with Lyall and now that she was here well ... Carly had a right to be bitter and so what if Lyall got after her. Lyall should spend more time with his sister instead that obvious flirt anyway ... or at least that's how Carly saw things. Taking another sip of her drink, Carly refused to acknowledge that she had even spoken and concentrated on trying not to show that her throat was burning like hell. What no of course she hadn't taken another large sip ... OK yes she had and was paying for not paying more attention to how much she drank.
When Alex spoke again, Carly had recovered enough that she could focus on Lyall's answer and laughed at the mental image of Lyall acting like a goofy drunk. Mmmm, maybe she should get these stories from Lexi~ sometime ... oh wait, didn't Lexi have a cell phone? Just then an idea formed in Carly's mind as she pulled out her own cell and started to text Lexi with the very same question that she had been wanting to ask. This done, Carly put the cell on the counter where she would be able to see it vibrate, a mischievous smile on her face. If Lexi came through this would be a fun night indeed~, of course even if Lexi didn't text her back Carly was sure she could find some way to at least try to trick Lyall into getting drunk.[/scrolly] |

[ Alex / Delilah ] [scrolly:h(280),w(400),sy,as(margin:15px 5px 15px 30px;padding-right:10px;)]Lilah's gold-splashed eyes lit with intrigue at Lyall's answer. Alex tried to hide her grin, but Delilah didn't. The darker woman considered challenging/teasing Iris a little on her comment (or asking about her clothes for that matter; really, Lilah was enough of a regular even she knew something seemed odd, though she couldn't place it.. meh), but... Mmm. She'd just leave everyone alone for now. For the moment, she was just playing the waiting game... accompanied by another sweet taste of Amontillado~ "Yes, I'm sure you don't," Alex teased. "Normal people have trouble remembering what happens after they're drunk and not just while, right?" ....Not that she had much right to judge anyone else drunk, of couse.. heh... She couldn't quite remember a number of nights, but she was pretty certain they'd gone about like those she did remember.... though it had been quite a while since anything that bad had happened, when she thought about it.. Hm. [/scrolly]

The woman decided to ignore Delilah for now, though she'd prefer to ignore the woman all night, if she had the chance, heh. Lyall's answer got a chuckle out of her. "I still think I'd like to see that," she commented.
Alex's made her stop to think a little. "Heh, I think we all do things when drunk we can't remember. Or after. But not that I'm one to judge." she just let that hang a little, though she'd rather no one know exactly what she meant by that.

At Iris's words, Lyall looked sideways and offered a cheesy grin. "Ya got a story for us, Iris?" he teased lightly before taking a slower sip this time. See? He said he would slow down- or thought it anyways- and now he was doing so~
At a diner not terribly far away, a phone vibrated, and Alexis Zander had to fight the urge to quickly look at it and instead did her best to focus on carrying what she had to the table for her customers. Setting the food down and distributing it with a quiet few words, the teen then stood up fully again, asked if there was anything else needed, and walked away when it seemed all was taken care of. It was only after these steps were finished that Lexi all but dove into the kitchen area and behind a shelf. Whipping out her phone, Alexis looked down at it for a brief moment and only registered that it was from Carly. "Lexi?" a voice called causing the young woman to tense and quickly reply back with a message before snapping her phone shut. "Coming!" she called before quickly heading back out to work.
Meanwhile, Carly's phone vibrated shortly after that, though the words were probably not what she was expecting. 'I'm off of work soon. Don't text me till then.' Followed shortly by her general phone signature '<3' sign. Well, at least she had replied? And in good time, at least.

She had never been that drunk on the other hand ... or at least not that she could remember >>; heh. Perhaps she should lay off the amontillado just in case ... Carly wanted to be able to remember tonight if Lyall did in fact get wasted. Ugh ... why was Lexi taking so lo- oh! Just when Carly was about to try texting Lexi again, her phone vibrated only to be snatched up quickly so as not to alert anybody else. The message that Lexi had left was certainly not one that she had been hoping for but ... that was Carly's own fault for not checking the time before texting her. Oh well~, perhaps Iris' story would help pass the time until Lexi got off,"Yes Iris~ what's this I hear about a story?"Carly chimed in before taking another sip of her drink. [/scrolly] |

[ Alex / Delilah ] [scrolly:h(280),w(400),sy,as(margin:15px 5px 15px 30px;padding-right:10px;)]Alex found herself a little torn when the others started badgering Iris. On the one hand, as much as she loathed the woman at times and as spiteful as she was of a lot of things about her, Iris had proven to be a pretty nice person to have on her side when it really, really counted. There was generally a certain limit to how far she was willing to take whatever rivalry they had, with the logic that though they'd never really said it she was pretty certain Iris understood the same and followed a similar code herself. ...On the other hand, they weren't really asking for every horrible thing she'd ever done or something, right? A a little embarrassment-- especially since she didn't think Iris would willingly outright humiliate herself, but rather give a lesser story if anything at all-- would be pretty amusing, and help even the playing field a little, as Alex saw it, or so she hoped. Taking a little more comfortable position, then, she gave her 'superior' a sarcastic grin and told her, "We're all ears." After a moment, she added dryly, "..Of course, you know my worst drunk story. So I'm sure yours can't be too terrible." Certainly, she didn't like dwelling on that fact, or their knowledge of it. But the way Alex saw it, they knew it happened, and pretending it didn't would only make her appear defensive, and may even raise questions as to whether she was defending the obvious, or something deeper and even worse. Thus, she certainly didn't bring it up often, but tried not to be shy about acknowledging it off-hand if in the rare case that it was relevant. Right now in particular, she hoped it would be a bit of a double-edged sword, both easing Iris into sharing with the feeling that she might get off easier in comparison (which really was Alex being partially nice, too; pff, it seemed some of that desire to back her had won out after all) as well as guilt her into it under the logic that it was only 'fair' they all know things about each other. Down on her end of the bar, Delilah was all-around curious. Naturally, she didn't know whatever it was Alex may have been referring to, though she probably just would have laughed had she known his 'worst' story was just sleeping with an old friend. But she highly doubted he was going to share with everyone. In addition, it certainly sounded interesting to find out a little more about her least-favorite bartender. (All right, so the woman served perfectly good drinks (even if Lilah was sure she would have spit in them if she didn't watch closely enough), and she'd seen some pretty shitty bartenders whose establishments she'd never visit again; but among the few places where she might be considered a regular, Iris was the one she disliked most as a person, and the parallel amused her with Lyall being her favorite and Iris her least favorite, so she was going to keep thinking of her as such.) Of course, she was certain if she chimed in on the matter, it would absolutely close all negotiations on the subject for everyone. Instead, then, she continued sipping her drink, turning around some in her barstool and making like she had ceased paying attention to them entirely to instead scope out what Black Knights had arrived. ...Not that she wasn't doing the latter, actually. My my my, Lyall's gang certainly attracts some... 'interesting' company... Any time she'd ever seen them- never so many at once- she always wondered which had once been knights and which were picked up along the way. In all honesty, she really didn't think she could have ever made it with a real knight. (Even lesser military was probably too strict and upright for her tastes, and just look how much 'progress' she'd made with her little knight friend out East; she couldn't even bring herself to try seriously with the poor naive boy.) But damn if the whole 'knight in shining armor' cliche wasn't still appealing as all hell... and if the training involved hadn't paid off. |3 Muurrrrrr, some of these boys~<3 Delilah nearly got herself so distracted with these thoughts she forgot she was eavesdropping. Nearly, but not quite, and once she realized how close she was getting, she did start trying to divide her focus a little more evenly. She didn't want to miss story-time. Hehe. "Well....I've got a few ..." she said, trying to find one more funny and less humiliating. So this pretty much meant none that involved why she was dressed in layers right now. Usually she wouldn't go for this sort of thing, but maybe if she told something of hers, she'd get a good laugh from someone else's story. Or....well, she did have one.
"Well...I have done some stupid crap drunk. Gotten a tattoo, spent the night in jail, and of course random sex--sometimes. But my first time was funny even to me, well...nowadays, heh. It was my twenty first birthday, and everyone who worked at the little restaurant I waited tables for at the time threw me this little party, at the restaurant. And, we didn't tell the boss about this, it'd just be a little fun, then we hit a bar or something, right? Of course, it wasn't long before they broke out the alcohol.
Well, I only know this cuz someone decided to set up a camera--don't ask who, I had the tape destroyed--after watching it, of course--and the guy now refuses to talk about it." She cracked a grin at this. "Well, after a couple, I started talking to walls and shit. Tried to pole dance on a broom, which resulted in me falling on my ass, knocking over the camera, and ending the little video. Though one thing I will NEVER forget is waking up the next morning, on the roof of the restaurant, the bossman standing over me, tapping his foot. Oddly enough, no one got fired, but we got ripped into pretty bad for not inviting him.... |

Maybe it was just the fact that she kept repeating the word or the fact that he was unsure if Iris actually did 'little' that caused him to do so, yet after a moment of realizing what he was doing, he fought back the urge to continue. However, as she went on to explain what had happened, an easy chuckle escaped from Lyall. On the roof? Was she trying to call Santa or something? The thought that Iris's birthday wasn't around his wasn't reaching Lyall at the moment, so it remained pretty humerus to him regardless. After a moment, he chuckled a bit more and took another sip of his drink. "Sounds like fun," he jived a little as another laugh came to him. "Betcha' Lilah's got some fun ones too, ehh?" he asked slowly starting over towards Delilah after a moment.
Meanwhile, Carly's phone vibrated again. The text was once again from Lexi asking one simple question 'did you get the cake?'

By the time Iris was done, Carly was finding it hard to keep a straight face; Iris had been on the roof ... wow, thank goodness she didn't have any stories like that. When Lyall asked if Lilah (oh so that was that woman's name) had any good stories. Well now~ this would be interesting indeed, taking another sip of the amontillado Carly had been about to make a snide comment to this Lilah about said story when her phone vibrated. Jumping slightly, Carly flipped open the phone and saw the text .... oh shit ... she still needed to pick that up and the store closed in .... 30 minutes. Setting her drink down, Carly muttered a 'be right back' to Alex and walked out the door, typing a rather defensive 'of course I did' message back to Lexi. Once outside, Carly released Rinji (thank goodness she had the Xatu with her tonight) who promptly flapped his wings as usual. "Calm down Rinji, it's just me ... listen, I need you to teleport us to the store now,"Carly said in a quiet voice, hoping that the Xatu wouldn't throw another weird paranoid fit now of all times. It seemed that Rinji could sense the urgency in Carly's voice and thus complied immediately, no sooner had they gotten to the store that Carly bolted inside with the Xatu on her heels. After picking up the cake, Carly looked to Rinji who nodded and teleported them to the back room of the bar. Setting the cake down, Carly asked Rinji to teleport her outside again which the Xatu did promptly (thank goodness for small favors). Returning Rinji, Carly walked back inside and sat down as if nothing was wrong before taking a sip of her drink, hoping that she had missed Lilah's story in the what ... 5 minutes she'd been gone.[/scrolly] |

[ Alex / Delilah ] [scrolly:h(280),w(400),sy,as(margin:15px 5px 15px 30px;padding-right:10px;)]Of course Alex had to laugh and wonder at some of the details of that night, though she really didn't pick up on anything strange in Iris's words like the others did. In a way.. she found herself almost a little jealous. Her 21st birthday had been less than half a year ago, but all she'd done for it was throw back a few legal drinks with Lyall and a handful of other coworkers and Knights (the first time she'd actually been allowed to drink in the bar with Lyall watching), and then turned in early to work the next morning. Granted, she supposed she was also quite grateful to have never woken up on the roof of a building, and realized that getting wasted really wasn't something to envy. Still, it might be fun to have more stories like that. Lilah smirked through the story and fought a laugh at a few parts, considering that perhaps Iris wasn't quite as much of a tightass as she usually seemed. Perhaps. Just when things were really getting amusing, Lyall brought the subject to her, and her mood fell. A smile remained on her face, but it had gone from sincere to taped-on in a matter of moments. She forced a small chuckle, then chimed in a little tease: "Now Lyall, sweetie. You say that like anyone here but you cares to acknowledge my existence~" Even as she gave this response, Carly had started toward the door. Tch. As much as she loved having a point proven so conveniently... Huh. So Lyall wanted to hear and Delilah didn't want to tell? Well, that was just double-incentive for Alex, wasn't it? "Aw hey, I wanna hear too. It's most fun when everyone joins in, right?" It'd be fun to compare everyone's stories anyway, but especially the more they got.. and once they found out what Lyall was like. Anyway, every bad story made the other sliiightly better by comparison, eh? Hers included. Delilah fought not to, but rolled her eyes regardless, attempting to at least appear playful in doing so. A little more deadpan, she answered, "Well I hate to disappoint, but all I really do when I drink is make impulsive or bad decisions, and get sick and pass out after enough."She couldn't get off that easily, apparently. "Annd...?" Lilah was torn between the urge to facepalm or just smack Alex; had the latter known she still wouldn't have cared. "No impulsive tattoos or anything fun? We've all got some sorta drunk stories." Leaning on the bar for balance, she picked up her crutch a moment to emphasize it, then added, "Do the cripple boy a solid, eh?" She laughed at herself. But the other woman wasn't laughing. Instead, she was seething. She had considered briefly implying some sexual escapades; 'you don't want to know those details' and so-on. However, in this particular instance, that would only serve to satisfy some of these stuck-up little.... Sighing, she decided perhaps something a little stronger might shut some of them up for a while. Again she pasted on her smile; the gross level of insincerity at this point served only to emphasize how annoyed she was. "All right, fine then~" she started. "Worst thing I've ever done while drinking.. let me think..." She didn't actually have to. Rather, she crossed her arms for a minute in front of her- over her chest rather than accentuating it; the intent here was to give a good view, if only for a few moments, of her arms, which bore a fair number of small, faint, but still-present marks. Turning, she lifted her shirt slightly to show a little worse damage to her back. None of the scars were especially obtrusive, but there were more here. "Probably staying with the bastard who gave me all these scars and more~" All but throwing her shirt back into place, she muttered under her breath as she moved back to her original position, "Repeatedly.."Huffing what was supposed to sound like a fairly upbeat 'anyway' sort of sigh, she thought a moment and grinned, still pretty fake, but slightly more convincing now. "Though I think I'd also been drinking a bit before I finally gave him some back~ That part I'm still rather more proud of~ ^w^" She was lying; as much as he deserved what he got, she still hated herself to think what she'd been trying. The bastard may've deserved slow and painful torture equal to or greater than the pain he dealt her, but he didn't deserve to die for it. Well, that wasn't something to dwell on right now; instead, Delilah threw back the rest of her first glass, and gave a small laugh when she was done. Alex.... had no idea how to respond to that. Which, of course, had been entirely the point. Even an 'oh' or 'wow' seemed wrong here, somehow. So.. then.. Right. About a minute later, Carly would return. [/scrolly]

And her writer was having an off day. The woman also had to fight off a snort at Delilah mentioning Lyall being the only one who cared to recognize that she existed. Though in Iris's opinion, Lilah was right. For once. But at the back and forth between her and Alex about sharing a story, Iris had to give a sigh; after all she had a guess as to what it involved.
When Carly left, the purple haired ex-assassin had to fight the urge to follow, but did so successfully. A pair of purple eyes rolled at Lilah's actual story. "What? You mean it was only one?" she half-snorted, half purred. Then, she gave a smirk. "Stayed....with? Why, isn't that a surprise?" she said in a teasing tone, though she was being dead serious. "So...does anyone have any amusing, maybe even surprising stories?" she asked.

Oh~ That was good. She had that all covered then. Just a little longer until work finished and --- Alexis's eyes darted up to the clock and then back down again as her name was called. "Coming!"
----
Lyall's lip twitched a little at Delilah's first reply, and he was about to make a comment before Carly's movement distracted him. "Hey Car-..." but she was gone. She better not be going off to hang with that guy on my fucking birthday the blue haired man mentally hissed. Alex had picked up on what Lyall had dropped the conversation, thankfully --or not so thankfully as he learned only seconds later.
As Delilah 'showed' and explained what had happened Lyall was dumbfounded. Wherein he was usually good at finding words, he was lost. That.... that wasn't funny, and even trying to force a laugh was beyond the question. He just... Any man who hit a woman... any man who hit someone weaker than himself... or someone who wasn't fighting back or... even... fuck there was no reason to hit her! Lyall's face twitched, and any one expression just couldn't sit still.
An awkward silence followed... up until Iris opened her mouth. "Iris!" Lyall snarled taking on his namesake for a moment. "That was uncalled for! Apologize now," he barked a bit harder than intended....probably an effect of the alcohol in his system.
That... that was a mood killer.
.....And oh hey Carly was back.

Carly blinked and sat back down next to Alex as casually as she could despite the questions that filled her mind. "What ... what just happened ... ?"Carly whispered to Alex just before Lyall snapped at Iris. Flinching slightly at Lyall's words Carly stared dumbly at Iris ... where had that come from ... . True Carly wasn't a huge fan of Lilah's but Carly knew when to quit at least. Taking a sip of her drink, Carly focused more on her glass than at anyone else in particular ... this ... was awkward.[/scrolly] |

[ Alex / Delilah ] [scrolly:h(280),w(400),sy,as(margin:15px 5px 15px 30px;padding-right:10px;)]Alex couldn't believe her ears when her colleage spoke. "PFthfgffh-- IRIS." That had come out about the same time as Lyall's "Iris", though, and she grew silent afterward, letting him handle it.. not that she would have done much past her initial reaction anyway, but.. still. As Carly leaned over to ask her question, Alex... "Uh.." Alex wasn't even sure how to answer her. That was. Wow this whole situation was just. She wasn't even going to say anything. Delilah, meanwhile, had simply-- From Iris's first words, she'd been caught in a state of such shock she could have burst into tears on the spot, and the more she went on, the more the woman found herself torn between doing just that and running (or, preferably, dying), or reacting violently. Since apparently her initial thought to shut everyone up for a while had backfired miserably, perhaps a punch in the face- or her glass smashed on it- would be more what it took to wipe that smirk off. In all reality, the more violent thoughts were as much wish fulfillment as anything; as happy as she may once have been to act on them if they'd been alone and she'd felt a little less insecure, she really did prefer to avoid physical fights altogether anymore if she could help it (preferring more subtle methods of attack if any), and even at her worst she'd have been hesitant to start anything in front of so many people. As it was, though, none of that really mattered, as she couldn't seem to unfreeze long enough to do anything but sit there looking... some mixture of distraught, hurt, surprised, and confused, toned down to about half the strength any alone would have been. It fortunately didn't last long, though, as Lyall jumped to her defense, calming her considerably. Despite herself, she couldn't help but let out a little sigh. ...Had she been holding her breath? Even a moment later she couldn't have said for sure; no matter. Delilah had to admit she took a lot of bitter pleasure in Lyall's demand for an apology, especially. But once she'd had a moment to calm down, she decided that simply wasn't quite good enough. Mustering a clearly-forced but terribly sweet smile, she forced that half-a-laugh to match and offered, "No, really. She doesn't have to do that.. Just watching her pretend to know anything about me is more than compensation enough~" Yes, now it should be good enough. Had she not still felt so awkard, Alex may have laughed a bit there, but she remained a bystander still. All the same.. Lilah really.. didn't feel much better at all. The urge to crawl into a hole and die had subsided, but the mere fact that that was an improvement didn't say much. Taking her glass in hand, she stood and moved to the cask to get her own refill. With a light sigh, she tried to excuse herself more or less politely. "But I should probably get my corner table back before someone steals it.. Hmh~.." The moment she turned, her smiled faded. Her eyes had been pretty moist the whole time, but may have been getting a little worse now. She wasn't really fighting it back, though, so much as she just felt.. kind of numb, now. Hopefully she just needed a minute to clear her head.. [/scrolly]

Fighting back the urge to groan when Alex and Lyall stood up for Lilah, she let out a soft sigh. "I...don't know what came over me," she said apologetically.
Yes she did; she was looking forward to some fun stories and instead ended up being the only one sharing before it got ruined. And she just didn't like Lilah for some reason; Iris probably didn't even know exactly why, maybe just decided 'I don't like her.'
The woman had to bite her lip at Lilah's comment, to prevent the whole bar from jumping down her throat. She didn't want to know anything about her. Knowing that she spent more time on her back than the average Snorlax was more than enough information, thanks. Besides, she wasn't even sure what the woman was doing there, but she figured it best if she held off on the who hired the hooker jokes.
Watching Lilah's reactions, Iris let out another sigh. She almost felt bad for her; almost. "Okay...that...that was uncalled for...I'm sorry" There. Apologized. Looking at where Lilah was sitting, part of Iris almost wanted to go sit with her and apologize. Another part had this feeling that would only lead to more trouble. But Iris had a sense of pride to maintain. She had to--ah what the hell.
Finishing her drink, she set the glass down and slid out of her seat. And in what some may describe as karma, one of Iris's high heels snapped, and the woman went crashing to the floor with a thump. She kicked off her heels, slowly standing to her feet.
One drink down, jacket and heels already gone.

The result instead was a line for lips and a somewhat hurt expression of his own, and Lyall wasn't even sure why, exactly. True the situation had ruined his mood, but it was more than that at the moment. Whether it was sympathy, empathy, or just a heightened awareness of the feeling in the air, Lyall could never begin to figure out, but part of him just felt a bit more than broken. Fuck. This was supposed to be a fun night, damn it. At the mention of the table, Lyall gave a brief nod and watched without reply.
As Iris spoke only after Delilah had moved off, Lyall just looked at her and didn't offer back much of a reply. He... just wanted to go back to having fun but...yeah. As Iris started off her chair, Lyall twitched and made a movement to try and catch her before she hit the floor. However, he didn't react fast enough, and before he knew it, she was back up and kicking off her heel before continuing on her way. Breathing out, Lyall shook his head slowly, raised a hand to his temple, and massaged it before looking back at Carly and Alex. "Hey where'd.. ya head off to a few minutes ago Carleh?" he asked slightly butchering the pronunciation of his 'kid' sister's name out of a mix of sometime habit and alcohol. [/scrolly] |
