Jayme didn't understand. How could Miguel- how could anyone be calm in the face of all this? Thus when Miguel stated his name, Jayme tensed and looked sideways at him with something both confused and hurt, and as Miguel spoke, something in Jay only squirmed that much more. Miguel couldn't have done anything, and he couldn't have done anything. It was so simple yet so hurtful. He wanted to believe so badly that there could have been a way around it- maybe if he had a time machine or otherwise, but the 'trapped by Fate' feeling that was slowly solidifying around him was quickly making him sick. He didn't want that.
As Justice apologized again, Jayme flinched and ended up looking away. Great, now his anger and frustration was just hurting someone else, someone he didn't even know. Ugh... Slowly, Jay turned again and started once more for the door, though slower than before. "Master...I ...cannot accept that," was all Jayme replied with before continuing out not even looking back.
Feliciano stopped walking a moment and looked back at Cora for a few seconds unable to say anything. However, after a moment, he gave a quiet nod. "There's a lot to talk about," he agreed before slowly heading out again. He'd end up chatting with one of the nurses thereafter.
Haiiro continued to stare out the window not seeing much of anything. He was still upset, still angry, but for all he was, he didn't know what to do about it. After a moment, he slowly turned on his heels and looked back towards Elayne. "Elayne...I'm......sorry..." he said slowly and quietly as both dark blue spheres lowered themselves unable to meet whatever gaze Elayne might have reflected back at him. "I should have been there....or at least been there sooner..." for the first time in a long time, Hai's voice broke, and he fell into perpetual silence thereafter.

Cora smiled when Elayne put her hand on hers, she then placed her other hand on top of Elayne's. As Haii spoke Cora looked over at him but was unable to find the words needed seeing she felt the same way... If she had not been nearly blown up and never had a broken leg she would have most likely have been with Elayne... And would have been able to fight that jerk off with karate and with her pokemon.. She had been able to fight off a thief by herself once and he even had something sharp to her neck.. Though she never told anyone about that besides Kero and she had not seen him or his boyfriend after the day Treecko played in Lance Jr's hair. witch now when she looks back at was funny.
Cora then looked over at Elayne with a look of determination, as a thought came to her. After what happened it was clear that Elayne would be alone at times and something could happen and no one would be around.. What if she could teach her sister karate?? It did teach one how to defend yourself when facing off a bigger opponent. " Elayne, when we are both recovered from our injury's... I would like to teach you karate.." Cora said before falling silent again.
Justice listened to Miggy's words and started to calm down. Yes, none of this was her fault.. She then pulled away from Miggy and wiped her tears. She then smiled and nodded, though she frowned at Jayme's words. Oops did she make him feel bad? Justice then walked away from Miggy and over to Jayme and once again placed her hand on his shoulder. " Wait.. I... Um... Would you like to take a walk with me?" Justice said in a soft tone. If he said no she would just let him go.. But she could not just let him walk out of here without trying something.

Hearing Jayme speak again, Miguel looked up to see him walking away once again and sighed. Miguel remained silent as Jayme walked away...perhaps he just needed some time alone to be able to think. Miguel was about to suggest they sit down when Justice pulled away from him and walked over to Jayme. Watching her talk to Jayme, Miguel smiled...perhaps Justice would be able to help Jayme where he could not.
---
Elayne opened her eyes when she heard Haii speak again and looked over at him. She didn't blame him...didn't blame anyone for not being there when Simeon had first found her. The fact that they had gotten there was enough...why didn't they see that... "But you were there..."Elayne replied quietly, her voice little more than a whisper,"That's all that matters... You did save me...both of you..."she continued, not removing her gaze from Haii until Cora spoke. Shifting her gaze to Cora, as her sister spoke, a hint of a smile appeared on Elayne's features at the suggestion only to disappear just as quickly as her cheek complained and simply nodded. It would be fun to spend time with her sister...though it was hard to imagine even attempting such a thing right now.[/scrolly] |

Feeling yet another hand on his shoulder as he was about to leave completely, Jayme was caught between wanting to break out into a run and an inability to move. After a few seconds, Justice's words came to his ears, and the pink haired boy's head slowly looked back. The question brought a brief frown, but for as much as he wanted to reply no, Jayme couldn't answer right away. He didn't know this girl, and she didn't know him. "A-alright..." was the quiet reply before slowly turning his head back and starting to walk forwards towards the door again. He didn't know why he had said ok, but maybe it was the fact that though maybe he wanted to get away, Jayme didn't want to be alone....It was a selfish thought. Elayne had been alone...but she hadn't fared well...so maybe it wasn't...He couldn't quite decide in all honesty.
But I wasn't quick enough...this still happened... Haiiro wanted to say the words on his mind, but Cora's cut him off. Teach...Elayne Karate? ...Teach her how to fight...how to defend herself... Was it somehow selfish then and there that Haiiro found a weird protest running in his chest. He should have been there. He should have been the one to fight. There was no reason for Elayne to need to....But he hadn't been there...He'd failed... damn it.... A quiet sigh escaped from Haii thereafter. "I..." Haiiro opened and shut his mouth realizing that what he was about to say could be taken a variety of ways he didn't mean nor want to mean... Blue spheres flew off, and another sigh escaped. "Nevermind," was all that was said.

Justice smiled when Jayme said it was alright. When he left the hospital she followed behind him. As they walked she stayed behind him for a little while before moving to talk beside him. Not knowing what to say or really do for that matter Justice just walked in silence. She looked over at Jayme a few times but still said nothing. If she would have gotten a chance to get to know the boy before this she felt that she would be able to say something.. But even from the letters she got from Miggy she only knew about Jayme in a nutshell as well as most of the people in the castle. So all Justice felt she could do was just walk beside Jayme and if he wanted to talk she would do her best to help him.
As Elayne spoke Cora slightly and gently squeezed her hand so not to hurt it. Yes it would have been much worse if She and Haii had not gotten there when they did.. That much Cora knew she could be grateful for.. Cora then smiled when Elayne nodded at her idea, good it was something to look forward to. Cora looked over at Haii as it seemed he wanted to say something. But when he back tracked. This caused Cora to frown a little but she said nothing and looked back at her sister. So many things she wanted to ask but she knew Elayne would not be up for those questions. She would just wait when she could talk to Feils alone..

He could go back and see how Elayne was doing but for now he would wait until someone else returned. There was no need to overwhelm her with so many visitors in such a short period of time...perhaps he should have gone back to the castle after all...
Elayne smiled slightly when she felt Cora squeeze her hand and looked over at Haii when she heard him sigh. Her confusion was evident when Haii backtracked and dismissed whatever he was about to say. Blinking, Elayne shook her head slightly, "No...Haii...what did you...want to say..."she asked quietly, truly wanting to hear what he thought.[/scrolly] |

Jayme was quiet as he waked- still unsure of where he was even going if he even stopped to think about that. His thoughts were still too caught up in the idea that he had failed to do anything yet again to really have anything else to think about. A quiet sigh escaped from himself, and the young man shook his head briefly causing a few stray hairs to block his vision. "I...will never understand why anyone would want to hurt a defenseless person," he muttered more to himself than to Justice. It just didn't make sense, but everywhere he looked, the strong were hurting and suppressing the weak. It hurt...
Meanwhile, Feliciano finished his talk with the nurses before pulling out a phone and calling up several restaurants that he knew of in the area. After finding one that delivered, he practically ordered the entire menu before hanging up again and walking out to the lobby. He probably should have gone back to Elayne's room, but a weary part of him just wanted a chance to calm down. As he came out into the lobby again, Feliciano stopped upon finding Miguel there. Ah... that was right...Looking around, he found no one else left in the lobby. "Where did everyone else go?" was the starter question.
Haiiro hesitated a moment, his free hand raising to the back of his neck. "Do...you remember everything else?" Haiiro asked finding the question on his lips leaving more quickly than he had thought possible. It seemed everyone was asking questions.

Justice looked at Jayme as he spoke, she wanted to say something but she had no idea what.. In truth she was asking herself the same thing.. Not just from what happened to Elayne.. But when she was attacked and threatened on her way here.. And judgeing how everyone was reacting to Elayne's attack no way could she tell anyone about the thug and that man she met in the city.. " I don't know the answer ether.." Justice started to say in soft tone. She was not even going to try at the moment to give the words that Jayme may need to hear.. She couldn't even if she wanted to.. So for now she thought it would be best to let Jayme get whatever was on his mind out and just rant. She did not mind just listening at all. And sometimes that just what most people need anyway and Justice hoped that this was one of those cases.
---
Cora said nothing as Elayne and Hai spoke to each other though she did frown and look at him when he asked if Elayne remembered anything else.. Like she should have to remember everything.. It was best if she could just forget this and move on.. Trying to get more out of her would just cause more pain.. But she was not going to argue with Hai at the moment.. Not in front of Elayne.

He had been about to ask how Elayne was doing when Felis spoke up first, asking where everybody else had gone. "Your father went back to the castle for the time being and Justice and Jayme just went for a walk. Jayme was...upset after seeing Elayne... Is she all right?"Miguel replied quietly, concern evident in his features.
---
Elayne should probably have expected the question at some point...should've prepared for it... All the same to have it asked of her was painful and only served to remind her of all that had happened...how she couldn't remember the faces of the people she cared about... Closing her eyes, Elayne took as deep a breath as she could manage without her chest hurting and nodded. "...yes..."Elayne began quietly as she opened her eyes again, wishing for all the world that she could regain what she had lost..."Everything...the day we met...finding out Cora was my sister... I remember everything...I just-...I can't recall...people...faces..."she continued, her voice shaking slightly from the emotion behind it. She wished that she could remember...now though it seemed like everytime she opened her eyes she was surrounded by strangers... There was nothing Elayne could do about it however and that made it all the more difficult to deal with.[/scrolly] |

The quiet reply from Justice was met by a brief nod from Jayme, though why he did so, the pink haired young man had no real idea. It could have been a simple acknowledgment that Justice had said something or it could have been the fact that he was agreeing with her and himself again in turn, Jayme himself didn't even know fully. The only reason why I started training was so I can protect others, and I can't even do that! I I...I got distracted... I could have easily gotten home earlier and maybe this would have never happened but ... but..." Jayme cut off trying to wall back some of the waters of his anguish least it spill out and drown someone or something.
Feliciano's face remained somber as Miguel talked though a clear grimace graced his features when he asked how Elayne was doing. "I...." Feliciano started before stopping again and shaking his head slowly. "She has some memory problems....and didn't even recognize me....me of all people!" Felis's voice rose and snapped before breaking off and falling silent again. All that followed was a weak shake of the head. Only Miguel would be allowed to see this part of him...Elayne didn't need to see how much it distraught him, and there were few that Felis felt that he could burden with his own emotions.
Haiiro breathed a breath he hadn't realized he had been holding until just then. Good... that was good... The dark haired man gave a brief nod in understanding. "I see... then it won't be like.. we have to remeet or anything... it just means you'll need some help for a bit and..." Haiiro cut off realizing that he was speaking his thoughts way ore than he normally did.

Justice looked down at the ground as she walked beside Jayme thinking about what to say. After a moment she looked back up and looked at the young man. " I'm sure Miggy feels the same way.. And me as well.. If you two had not been out looking for me.. You both would have been at the castle and could have gotten there sooner.. But even if you were there this could have still happened.. You should not beat your self up on what ifs.. It was out of your control.. The best thing I think for now is to stay by your friends side and help her through this." Justice said and fell silent for a moment before giving a smile. "I think Elayne is lucky to have such a caring friend as you" Justice said and looked down at the ground again.
Cora smiled a little happy that Elayne remembered they day they met. And everything else for that matter it was just faces she was having issue's with.. But hopefully over time that would get better. As Hai spoke Cora had to hold back a giggle, she knew this was no laughing matter but she knew how much Haii and Elayne cared for each other but they where both to stubborn to say or admit it.. When Elayne gets better Cora would find a way to get those two on a date.. Yeah that's what Elayne and Haii needed.. Some time alone together. But that was a long way off but it would give Cora time to plan something out.

Judging by his reaction to the question...the news wasn't good. Upon hearing exactly what had Felis so distraught, Miguel frowned and sighed, that was certainly not what he had been expecting to hear. What was worse was that this could have been avoided...if that man could've been stopped, if someone had been there... There was no reason why Elayne had to go through this in the first place. "...was she able to recognize anybody else...?"Miguel asked after a moment before shaking his head,"...forgive me Felis... I should have been there... If I had only arrived sooner perhaps she wouldn't-..."he continued before cutting himself off and turning to look out one of the windows, unable to say anything more.
---
Elayne smiled slightly, albeit briefly as Haii spoke. Yes...that was something to be happy about...if she had forgotten everything... No...Elayne didn't want to think about that, the fact was she hadn't forgotten and that would help a lot. With her memories still intact at least she could try and remember the face that came with the name. Nodding, at Haii's words, Elayne did her best to appear optimistic despite the pain she was in,"...I'll be counting on you..."she replied quietly to both Cora and Haii...or at least the people who claimed to be them. If it weren't for the fact she could still recognize voices, Elayne would have no way of knowing whether or not these people were really people she knew...or had known.[/scrolly] |

Jayme Joy wasn't sure what he was expecting to hear from Justice in reply to what he had said to be honest. He didn't think that much into whether she would sympathize or try and tell him some good advise. No more or less, he hadn't really said it for her to hear but a general someone, and the more he realized it, the more Jayme became aware of the fact that he probably would have been talking to himself in just the same way even if Justice hadn't been there to appear like she was listening. Someone might have thought him crazy to be talking to himself or something. Well whatever.... It didn't matter anyways. Nothing mattered at the moment outside of the fact that he had failed yet again to do something he wanted to accomplish so badly that he could feel it burning in his veins.
It was only as Justice actually spoke again that Jayme's blood ran cold with understanding. As a new view suddenly jumped into his mind, he mentally cringed. Did Miguel really feel the same? Did he know just how much it hurt to have not been there? Somewhere in the back of his mind, Jayme knew it was true. Miguel had been a knight longer... He'd been Forest Castle's knight longer. He wanted to defend everyone in the castle as much as Jayme did, didn't he? Jayme bit his lip wishing that he could say there was some difference between what he was feeling and what Miguel was probably feeling but the fact of the matter was that Jayme didn't know exactly what Miguel was feeling at the moment. Guilt in all her wretched glory curled around Jayme's heart thereafter making him wonder why he hadn't realized it while he was in there. He could have said something even if he was hurting too couldn't he have?
As Justice went on, Jayme's heart only sunk a little more. He didn't know her, really, but she had feelings too. How could he have forgotten that? How could he just pour out his own aggressions to someone who...who was only listening. Not just any person, though- the person they had been away to find. Did...did Justice really feel that sort of guilt as well? For being the one that they were away from the castle for? Another more mature part of Jayme answered yes, and he found his stomach twisting. What would it feel like if he had run away or if he was away and someone who was defending the castle was away from him... and then to have a person from the castle attacked? Jayme could only feel a bit of what Justice could possibly feel, yet it made him sick to his stomach just thinking about it.
But there Justice was reconciling all things with the variable none could really perceive n any close definition. If this had been changed somehow, it could possibly have happened again regardless. Though he didn't want to believe in such negative destinies, the fact of the matter was it was a possibility. Only if he had been close enough at the time to fight off that man would he have been able to do anything completely. If he had been at the castle, how would he have known anything was wrong? A part of him quickly pushed back that he would have been with Elayne- would have told her he was coming with her rather than let her go alone. However, he might have been training with Miguel and busy at the time. There were too many ways that the situation could have come out the same. Jayme's head dropped a little, his eyes now focusing in on the cracks in the ground as they walked.
However, for all the stress and strain that Justice's words had set on his heart, Jayme felt something lessen just a little at the last few comments. There were still things he could do now...weren't there? He could focus on Elayne and help her with everything that she needed. He could...do something about that man or ask someone else to- though now that he thought about it, Jay was all too sure that someone else was going to do something. Felis wasn't going to just let that man get away, right? Jayme wanted to believe there was more to it than that, and slowly but surely, he worked up the reassurance in himself. Felis would do something about that red haired man. The last comment slowly brought a brief smile to Jayme's cheeks though his eyes didn't raise from where they were. "Thanks..." he murmured after a moment before stopping in his step.
For a brief moment, Jayme thought about simply turning around and just heading back, yet something in him was still unwilling to face Miguel again just yet. It was such an obscure feeling to have considering his master had never done anything to elicit any sort of fear response, but then again it was more of an unwillingness rather than a fear. Slowly looking at Justice after a moment, Jayme slowly smiled. "It's...not your fault either, you know..." he mumbled managing a weak smile. Another quiet sigh. "I'd....like to have you as my friend too," he said more shyly than intended.
Jayme Joy didn't realize how much he was growing up.
---
Miguel's first question resounded in a simple shake of Feliciano's head- the Duke unable to trust his voice to carry the word 'no' loud enough. As much as he was trying to keep himself strong at the moment, Felis was more than aware of his own mental turmoil. He had gone through it enough to know it by now, as sad as it was. It was distinct from the feeling of loss that came when his relationships failed instead being more closely related to the feeling of loss that came with his inner family's death. He kept reminding himself that Elayne was indeed alive, but somehow that didn't help anything. She had been hurt so very close to his castle, and he hadn't even known it until Porthos came in. For a brief moment, a dry humor came to the forefront of Feliciano's mind as he reflected again on the fact that he had gotten on a flaming horse at a moment's notice at the single sign of trouble. However, it was gone in an instant as he reflected on the fact that even though he had done such a feet, it had still amounted to nothing in the end.
As Miguel began to apologize, Feliciano looked up realizing that in the course of a few seconds, his eye balls had hit the floor several times over and were simply focused there before being pulled up again. Fresh streams of liquid threatened from tear ducts, and though he tried to fight them off, Felis found his efforts were to of no avail as sure enough they came streaming down regardless. They were angry tears- more specifically vengeful ones, and though Miguel wasn't directly at fault then and there, something in Felis broke down in the few seconds after the apology was made.
"IT IS YOUR FAULT!" he shouted his voice breaking the air at such a pitch as to cause the receptionist to cringe from where she was. "If you had told me you had a sister earlier, we could have kept an eye on her! If she hadn't been gallivanting around like a hoodlem you wouldn't have had to go out and find her! If you had been at home you could have gotten to her faster! Hell even if you had just gotten there a little bit faster, she wouldn't have to go through that! If you were paying attention to what she had been doing and where she had been going this morning... If you hadn't been too busy to focus on this damn country working all those stupid papers then you could have made sure she was ok! What the hell were you thinking?!"
A terrible sob hit the air, and suddenly Feliciano found himself on his knees fighting down the urge to vomit. His head pounded, and his heart wretched. The world was spinning fast, and Felis no longer held back anything back. His Elayne had been hurt. She'd been hurt right close to home, and there was nothing he could do to stop it. Why ...why hadn't he been there.....
--- It was probably for the best that Cora had stifled that giggle or Haiiro would have been redder than an apple and more awkward than a turtle. It wasn't that he didn't know how to speak. On the contrary, he was always careful to think about his words and was usually quiet because of that. However, at that moment, it had come out on its own, and now Haiiro was left to deal with the consequences. Shifting a little quietly as he tried to gather up what he wanted to say, Haiiro found it harder than before as though his mind had been covered up in the short few seconds after his words had stopped. Great....
Thankfully it at least seemed as though he wasn't going to be judged for such words, and Haiiro slowly breathed a mental sigh of relief as Elayne spoke. A slow nod was given, and slowly Haiiro deflated his shoulders sagging more than they normally did. "I won't fail," was the simple reply that was given. Haiiro wasn't quite sure what he even meant by those words, but it didn't matter anyways. He was going to keep supporting her no matter what, and he'd kick that red haired guy in the face too.

Justice said nothing unsure if she had helped Jayme if only just a little. When the young man stopped so did Justice, she raised her gaze and looked at him. He seemed to be thinking, could be he was thinking about what she had just said? Justice just stood there watching Jayme's expressions and just wait for him to be ready to talk. When he spoke she smiled and nodded when he said thanks. Though when he said it was not her fault she smiled weakly and looked away. Miggy had said the same thing.. But she still could not help but feel at least a little guilty.. Well ok it was not a little but still.. Maybe over time she would get over this feeling.. " I.. I know.. I just can't help but feel guilty somehow.." Justice said softly. At what Jayme said next made her look at him with shock but that soon faded into a happy smile. " I.. I would like that to.. My name is Justice if you don't already know." she said softly and held out her hand for Jayme to shake.
--
Cora looked at her sister and nodded with a determined expression. Yes she would stay by her sister's side.. And protect her by any means possible. And to start she would get to the bottom of this mess. " I wont let you down..And I will get to the bottom of this... Elayne I will be back later ok?" Cora said and out her hands on the wheels of her wheelchair backing up a little, she then turned and left the room. She had to talk to Felis.. She had to find out just who that man was.. She knew she could have asked Elayne but she did not want to stress her out. So as fast as she could Cora wheeled down the hallway.

He couldn't imagine what it would be like to wake up and not be able to recognize anyone around you...that had to be hard on her... Looking back up at Felis, Miguel was about to ask more about Elayne when the tears on Felis' face stopped him short. The outburst that followed was certainly unexpected though Miguel knew that he deserved every word. Why he hadn't told Felis about Justice, Miguel wasn't quite sure himself...but at the time she had been safe at school, or so he had thought. There had been no need to worry the duke further when Miguel had been so certain that she was all right.
As Felis continued to lash out at him, Miguel simply stood there calmly up until the duke mentioned papers and the country. That made him stop, surprised that Felis had known about his upbringing as the son of a count. Miguel hadn't once brought up his past or that particular subject...so how had Felis found out about it... Before Miguel could even begin to question Felis' words, the duke was on his knees. Alarmed, Miguel was at Felis' side in an instant and slowly helped him to one of the chairs in the waiting room. Once he was certain that Felis was all right, Miguel sat in a chair beside Felis and sighed. How could he even begin to explain the matters that Felis had brought up...
"You're right...it is my fault. I apologize for not wanting to let my own troubles concern you...I should have been told you about Justice, I see that now. At the time she was safe at school and I saw no need to worry you over nothing,"Miguel began to explain in a calm, quiet voice,"Again, I apologize for not being there...I know it is my job to protect those that reside in the castle...and I have failed in doing so twice now. Perhaps if I had been there this morning I would have been able to act more quickly but neither you nor I have no way of knowing if that would be true..."he continued before sighing and shaking his head slightly.
Miguel blamed himself for what had happened, he knew all too well that he should have been there to stop that man...but circumstances being what they were, he hadn't been and now Elayne was paying the consequences of his actions...or rather, inaction."As for choosing not to take up my father's place...that is not a simple...or easy matter to explain. I am sorry that you did not hear it from me personally but as I am sure you have noticed I find it...difficult to be open about my own life. The truth of the matter is, I simply could not handle the pressure. My father and I are not on the best of terms and thus he did little to prepare me when it became my turn to take over his position. Perhaps my reasons for leaving that life behind were selfish but...I don't regret it,"Miguel explained before looking back at Felis, waiting for the rebuke that he suspected was sure to come.

Elayne was relieved to hear the words from both Haii and Cora and closed her eyes briefly until she heard Cora speak again. Looking at her supposed sister, Elayne simply nodded and watched as she wheeled herself out the door. That left only Haii in the room but perhaps that was for the best...Elayne was admittedly getting rather tired and the pain was getting worse every passing moment. That was until a nurse entered the room and adjusted a few things on the monitor, even increasing the dosage of painkillers she was on. The relief was almost immediate, allowing Elayne to breathe easier once again.
The nurse left soon after, leaving Haii and Elayne alone once again. Looking over at Haii, Elayne reached out her hand to him, ignoring the slight pain that came with such a motion. "Haii..."Elayne said quietly, wishing for all the world she could recall the face of the man that meant so much to her. What she wouldn't give to have her memory restored back to what it was... Elayne knew all too well that wouldn't happen overnight however...even as much as she wished it would...[/scrolly] |

Jayme frowned briefly at Justice's words, and for a few seconds, he was unsure of what to say. After a moment more, pink eyes dropped. "I think... that's how everyone feels..." he sighed shaking his head a little before managing to smile again briefly. It wasn't...going to do any good to feel bad... despite how easy it was to do so.
The girl gave her name, and Jayme was again reminded of the name Miguel had said. Yes, he knew who she was- if only registering her existence just that morning due to Miguel and Nathan's conversation. Taking the hand a little awkwardly but managing a sincere smile, Jayme shook the hand. "Nice to meet you..." he replied releasing her hand a moment after. "I heard you'd... been traveling around a lot... what was it like?" he asked finding that a change of subject might have been good for them both at this point.
----
In truth, at the mention of papers and the country, Feliciano Rossi did not mean anything close to Miguel's history. It had been sole social projection, and somewhere in the back of Felis's mind, he knew that. If he hadn't been focused on the papers that he had been dealing with that morning and had been more focused on the family that meant the most to him, this would never have happened. It was... all his fault...
Felis was barely aware of Migeul's motions as he was moved up into one of the chairs rather than left to sit on the floor. His eyes were too blurred by tears, and his emotions were too blurred by anguish to even realize that he was moving. It was not alright. It would never be alright. A few minutes passed before Felis even began to compose himself again, and even as he did so, he found his own motions jerking in comparison to their normal fluidity. A right hand set itself on Felis's cheek as he brushed a few tears away only to find that more silent ones had filled their place in an instant.
Miguel had begun to talk, and though he didn't want to, Felis listened. Somewhere in Felis, he knew Miguel was not to blame for the events, yet at the moment he couldn't bring himself to admit that. Instead, the blond managed to somehow draw his rather long legs to himself and wrap his arms around them before effectively burying his face in his knees. It actually caused his stomach to throb in a particular place he had been stabbed only a bit ago in all reality. However, Felis ignored it.
The one-sided conversation refocused itself, and suddenly Felis was confused. That... that he... he had wanted to talk about after Miguel had gotten back, but... wait why was... he bringing it up now anyways... This confusion on Felis's face was hidden gracefully by his position, and form Miguel's perception, one could probably discern only a little change in Felis's shielded visage.
Miguel talked about pressure, and something in Felis's blood boiled. He couldn't handle the pressure? He couldn't handle taking up a job that he was meant to have? Felis was never meant to take up the role of Duke. He was the younger brother. Neither Lances were supposed to leave, and he was supposed to never have had to shoulder the tasks that were shoved upon him. Pressure? He was sure anyone could handle the pressure.
"You put your family at risk," was all that Feliciano Rossi replied back with. He would have said more had he not heard the wheels of some chair moving about. Looking upwards towards the entrance towards the back, he found himself staring at Cora there.
---
Haiiro was quiet as Cora left and slowly turned his attention back to Elayne thereafter. He didn't know what to say in all honesty and was growing more uncomfortable with the situation now that they were alone. However, a nurse decided to come in an interrupt for a short bit which was actually more welcomed than what normally would have been. However, the nurse left soon after, and a sigh escaped from Haiiro as he watched the door close once more.
Elayne's voice hit his ears again, and Haiiro's head turned back to her finding that her hand had been reached out. Briefly he stepped forwards before uncertainty flushed into his veins causing him to step back again... only to step forwards once more and finally come to her side. Taking Elayne's hand carefully, Haiiro found his blue spheres drawn to Elayne again. She looked so small in that bed... and out of place... It.. wasn't fair damn it.
"Elayne I..." Haiiro's voice cut off, and for the first time in a long time, weakness flashed across his face. Sinking to his knees there next to the bed, Haiiro bit back a few words trying to calm himself before actually speaking. It worked moderately well. "Can't believe I... almost lost you..."

All Justice could do was smile weakly and looked off to the side as Jayme spoke. Yes she knew everyone felt that way.. She then looked back at Jayme and smiled a little more when Jayme shook her hand. Though when Jayme's question came Justice gave a unsure expression before giving a smile. It would be alright if she left a few things out right? After what just happened it would be bad to say anything about the thug she fought and the man that scared her while in the city. Justice nodded and smiled more easily. " It was amazing, I got to see much more of the world then I could when just reading a book or going out on class trips.. I got to see places I only ever got to hear about.. I even learned more about myself and have gotten stronger. I also got to meet many new people and tons of amazing pokemon." Justice said and she seemed to get fired up as she spoke as if she wanted to do it again. Though Justice soon caught her self and blushed in embarrassment. She then lifted her hand and rubbed the back of her said and looked off to the side. After a moment her color returned to normal and she looked at Jayme once again, but said nothing unsure what to say.

Cora wheeled up to the door, she slowed down then opened it then wheeled into the room. Though stopped when she heard Miguel and felis talking, she did not hear anything but by the looks of their expressions they where talking about something serious. Cora then thought now was not a good time to talk to Felis.. But then the Duke looked over at her and just stared. Cora gave a deerling in headlights look and sat there frozen for a moment. Cora then snapped out of it and gave a weak smile, " I.. I er.. Um.... D-don't mind me.. I.. er just going to look for a phone..." Cora said and ducked her head and started to wheel away, ugh now that was embarrassing.. Cora thought blushing as she wheeled away.

He had put Justice at risk by his own inaction...indeed, he had put Elayne, Felis, Rosa...and all the other residents of the castle at risk. Once again he had failed and once again there seemed to be nothing he could do to make things right. It wasn't until Miguel too heard the wheels that he even dared to look up only to find Cora there. For a few brief moments Miguel found himself simply looking at her, not certain if he should ask how Elayne was or not. Considering Felis' reaction Miguel opted not to question further and thus only nodded at Cora's stammered statement. Once she wheeled herself away, Miguel simply looked down at the ground, at a loss as to what to say for the time being.

Haiiro's motions were certainly not missed by Elayne and for a moment, hurt flashed across her face. This lasted only for a moment before he decided to take her hand after all. His hand was so gentle...if Elayne hadn't known that he had taken her hand she might have thought otherwise. Finding his eyes on her, Elayne tried her best to smile though said smile only served to hurt if she attempted such a thing for more than a few seconds. When he began to speak, Elayne blinked, confused as to what Haii had been trying to say. The weakness that she saw flash across his face only served to add to her confusion until he sunk to his knees beside the bed. The strain on her arm was less now certainly but the passing thought was given little notice over her confusion about what Haii had been trying to say. His next words cleared up any confusion she might have had as she fought to hold back the tears that threatened to spill over. "I'm...still here..."Elayne replied quietly, squeezing Haii's hand a little as she spoke,"You...can't get rid of me that easily Haii..."she continued before giving a short half laugh and falling silent thereafter.[/scrolly] |

The change in the subject was well worth it, and though he wasn't really happy at himself for being so relieved to leave such a precarious subject, Jayme was happy at least a little happy at the actual change itself. Justice seemed to have grown livelier, and it sparked a bit more liveliness in Jayme as a result. A small smile came to his lips as he listened to Justice speak only to catch herself and blush. Wow... she ... was really cute... Realizing those were his thoughts, Jayme flushed a little briefly and ended up looking sideways rubbing his own neck in unison with Justice's motions. Oddly enough, they looked back at one another at the same time. "Sounds like a lot of fun," Jayme finally replied nodding his head only to reach up and brush a few strands of hair away from his face as an after thought.
"I used to travel a bit when I had time, but with school and training, I've gotten a lot busier," he explained slowly lowering his hand again and looking forwards. "I want to be a pokemon doctor... and... recently I thought about maybe trying to be a human doctor too," he sighed briefly at this thought. In truth, he had actually only thought of it after hearing what had happened to Elayne, but now it was nestling itself in the back of his mind. It would be good to be able to treat both people and pokemon wouldn't it?
Though he might have said more, Jayme suddenly felt a droplet of water hit his nose. Blinking, the pink haired young man looked upwards only to get hit in the forehead with another drop of water. When had the clouds gotten so dark? "Maybe we should head back," was the quiet murmur that escaped.
----
Cora's eyes met Feliciano's stare, and as she froze, he waited. When she managed to explain at least in part what she was doing, he gave a brief nod in understanding before fishing out a phone from his pocket. "You can use mine if you wish," he replied his voice sighing a bit harder than intended. Briefly blue eyes slid sideways and stared at Miguel, but Felis didn't say anything even as he did so.
---
Though Elayne's words hit Haiiro's ears, he couldn't will them to make him feel any better. Another breath was taken in, and it took everything in Haii to keep calm. "Why the hell are people like him still in this world..." Haiiro sighed softly after a moment feeling that defeating feeling shoot through his veins again. The sounds of something rapping on the windows drew Haiiro's attention away for a moment, but as he saw the slashes of water that were now trailing down the pane, he sighed. Rain.

Justice could not help but blush a little more at how awkward this was. She noticed Jayme's blush as well and hoped she did not embarrass him. Though it seemed that, that was not the cause she relaxed and smiled. She then gave Jayme all of her attention as he spoke. So he liked to travel but it seemed life got busy, and what did he just say? He wants to be a pokemon doctor? Justice eyes lit up when he said that. He was like Miggy in someways, and when he said he also wanted to be a human doctor Justice smiled happily. Wow He was a knight in training yet he also wanted to be a doctor. He was like a mini Miggy. But Justice knew he was also a different person as well but she admired the traits Miggy and Jayme seemed to share.
She was about to say something whens he felt some rain drops. Blinking Justice looked up and she now noticed how dark the clouds had gotten. Wow when did that happen? she then looked back at Jayme and nodded when he said they should head back. " Ok, also Jayme I think your dream is amazing. I think you will make a great doctor for pokemon and humans. I have a dream though I'm not sure if it will come true.." Justice said and then started to run back to the hospital. Wow it was starting to rain harder she may be soaked before she even reached the doors. Ugh if she only had a umbrella..
-
Cora stopped when Feils offered his cellphone. Darn it she had came up with a lie to try to get away but she forgot Feils had a cellphone.. Now what was she going to do? Cora then turned herself around and gave a weak smile and wheeled over to Felis and took his offered phone. Though she stared at it wondering who on the heck she was going to call.. Her mother was back with the kendall's but would be back. But what use would it be to call her from her work? Then a idea came to her, there was one person she could talk to.. Her Da- Mr.Laurent.. If he did not know anything he was about to find out and Cora was going to demand some answers.. Cora then looked at Feils and smiled at him. " Thanks, I will be right back." Cora said putting the cellphone on her lap and started to wheel away again.
