Here and There (Cora/Open)

The air was light and breezy for the most part. Despite the fact that it was still summer, things were starting to cool down and become more bearable. The lush green of the East seemed to only prosper more by the change in the temperature. Not far off, one could see the castle of the Duke of the Eastern Woods.

The walls around the large castle kept wild pokemon out, yet the blond haired flamboyant man known as the Duke had made gardens within these walls for his numerous grass type pokemon not to mention for himself. Feliciano Rossi, better known as Felis to certain close people, loved the flowers and the scenery and preferred to spend his days outside in the gardens rather than actually in the castle itself. However, inevitably, work would drag him inside again.

Felis walked about the large garden outside of his forest castle with an easy step yet a careful eye. He was looking specifically to see if his berry trees had decided to bear fruit or not, and as he did this, he caught sight of his Roserade, Rosie, already inspecting them with a careful eye.

"Good morning, Rosie," Feliciano smiled to the Roserade who turned and looked at the blond haired man before nodding a bit to himself and going back to the tees.

Cora was walking on the path outside the castle walls just enjoying the summer day. For a while now she has been trying to find and catch a shinx. She caught a Poochyena that was a unexpected surprise and was very happy about it. So she was taking a brake from looking for a shinx to spend sometime with her Pokemon. Treecko, Poochyena and Mudkip where all out and walking with Cora. Cora looked at all her Pokemon and smiled, happy that Treecko and Poochyena where now getting along better then before. In fact now Poochyena was playfully chasing after Treecko, who was laughing as he ran. Mudkip laughed and watched them happily staying at Cora's side. As Cora watched her Pokemon she decided to let Charzard out so he could stretch his wings. Taking out his poke ball she opened it.[glow=blue,2,300]" Come on out Charzard!!"[/glow] Cora commanded and the ball opened and a flash of light Charzard came out opened his wings, flapped them and let out a wings making a small gust if wind. Folding his wings he looked around.

[glow=red,2,300]" Huh, pretty place, and I see a castle... Nobles must be inside.. Why are you even here Cora?" [/glow] Charzard asked. Cora looked at her friend. [glow=blue,2,300]" Yes, it is pretty and I know about the castle... As long as we don't bother those annoying Nobles they should leave us alone. Hopefully..."[/glow] Cora replied. Charzard nodded. [glow=red,2,300] True, Well I'm going to fly around a little bit."[/glow] He said as he opened his wings started to flap and took off into the air souring through the sky if Felis where to look up if he had not already heard Charzard would see him flying around.

Treecho, Poochyena and Mudkip watched Charzard as he flew. Treecko and Mudkip smiled but Poochyena who was not used to the idea of a Charzard being on the team, lowered his ears in dislike. But when Treecko poked him and started to run again. Poochyena perked up again and started the chase again.
Cora looked at the castle wondering what it looked like inside but was not willing to run into a snobby noble.... Cora then sat down and Mudkip climbed into her lap and sat down curled up like she was going to go to sleep. Cora petted Mudkip and kept a watchful eye on Treecho, Poochyena and Charzard as they enjoyed them selves.

It was not Feliciano who noticed the Charizard flying in the sky. He and his Roserade were too engrossed in the fact that there was actually fruit on the trees. The winter before had all but murdered the berry trees, but it seemed they were recovering a fraction. Feliciano was jumping around happily as he went before finally hugging one of the trees and smiling to himself. "Ah we can have adequate berries this year," Felis grinned as he hugged the tree more so. Rosie, who always appeared rather skeptical about Felis, was actually nodding in agreement about this. He, too, was happy to see that they were getting some actual berries.

The one to notice the Charizard was none other than the youngest member of Felis's pokemon, Ellen his Bulbasaur. She had been laying within a large rose bush that, upon entering, proved to be a very good defense for just about anything. Looking up in the sky only to see the large lizard flying in it, the young pokemon seemed to sudden tense. Looking around, she fled as quickly as possible out of the roses and ran straight towards Feliciano. Upon finding Ellen ramming into him, Felis stopped and looked down at the Bulbasaur. "Are you ok, Ellen?" he asked looking down at the green pokemon looking up at him. Ellen shook her head sharply as though afraid of something. It was then that Rosie seemed to suddenly tense as he noticed something. Felis turned his head in confusion and found the Charizard flying. His eyes instantly related the look of fear. "Rosie use Grass Whistle," Feliciano sighed outwards after another moment. "I don't want to give it a chance to burn the flowers." The Roserade nodded and began to whistle the tune of sleep. Both Felis and Ellen put some sort of extensions over their ears in order to keep from hearing the sound as well.

As Charzard flew around happily just minding his business enjoying the view and even looking at the garden behind the castle walls thinking it was the most prettiest garden he had ever seen. Then he noticed Feliciano and his grass Pokemon getting alarm at the sight of him and heard Grass Whistle being played. Charzard's eyelids started to get heavy and his wings to. [glow=red,2,300]" Cora!!!! Someone is playing Grass Whistle!! Return me to my ball be for.......I..... zzzzz...."[/glow] Charzard then started to fall picking speed, if he where to hit the ground he would be hurt very badly.


Cora eyes grew with with fear and stood up so suddenly causing Mupkip to roll off Cora's lap and on to the ground. Mudkip looked at Cora then looked up into the sky to see Charzard falling. Her eyes grew wide scared for her friend. [glow=brown,2,300]MUUUUD KIIIP MUUUD!!!" She screamed.

[/glow][glow=blue,2,300]" CHARZARD!!!"[/glow] Cora screamed soo loud anyone would hear. Cora then dashed forward as fast as she could run took out Charzard's ball opened it and held it out. [glow=blue,2,300] Charzard!!! RETURN!!"[/glow] Cora yelled and the red light came out of the ball and went around Charzard taking it back in minutes before he hit the ground.
Cora hugged Charzard's poke ball her heart raceing... Then anger took place of her fear and she glared at the castle and ran over to it and started to hit the door hard with her fists. [glow=blue,2,300]" OPEN UP YOU BLASTED NOBLES!!! I KNOW YOUR IN THERE!!! YOU ALMOST HURT AND COULD HAVE KILLED MY FRIEND!!!! OPEN UP!!!"[/glow] Cora screamed in rage. She wanted to deck the noble that did this....


Poochyena and Treecko started to run after Cora when she ran at the castle in a angry rage. When they got there both looked up at her and kinda got scared. Poochyena not having been with Cora very long thought it was scary she was this mad... Treecko has seen Cora this mad before but only a few times, each time was still scary to him. Mudkip now ran up and glared at the door. Also angry that someone would do that to Charzard when all he was doing was flying around.

Feliciano sighed outwards once Rosie had finished the Grass Whistle. "No fire types may approach this castle," he said darkly sighing to himself and thinking on the flames that had nearly consumed it a year ago when the rebels had killed a good portion of his family and set many of the gardens around the castle on fire. Then the winter had come and seemed to kill off all the other plants that had remained alive. It was a painful thing for the man who adored grass beyond reason. All that he had left was Roseabla, and he refused to let his younger sister out of the castle grounds despite how much she pleaded and prodded him.

Rosie nodded just as darkly feeling the pang of it himself. To have watched as both Lance and his eldest son who also took the name Lance had fled the castle before the fighting had even begun. He hated them for running away and abandoning the other members of the family, and if they ever came within a mile of him ever again, he would Petal Dance them into death.

Ellen, who had been clinging to Feliciano's leg, slowly released said leg. Looking around, she found that the Charizard was gone and was thankful that it was. It had scared her beyond reason to have such a thing flying in the air. Feliciano picked up the Bulbasaur, sighed, and walked back towards his castle. He didn't even hear as the sounds of someone banging on the door to the castle rang out. Instead, he simply entered the castle again oblivious to it all.

Who heard the knocking then? Rosie of course. The Roserade's sharp eye moved towards the gate, and he slowly made his way there. Hopping up onto the top of the wall, the Roserade stared down at the girl below as though daring her to keep yelling. "Rose," he said darkly staring at her even more before pointing to a sign.

The sign was actually on the gate itself and had very large bold letters reading ''Forest Castle. No Fire or Ice pokemon please." Rosie crossed his two arms and stared down at the girl again. He knew very well that she was the trainer of the Charizard and was not happy in the least to it being around. "Rose-rade-rose," he spoke in an irritated tone as though he were a butler of some sort criticizing the girl for breaking what he at least thought to be an obvious rule. "Rose rose rose rade," he continued on even more irritated at the girl for having the gal to yell at the front gate. "Rose-rade-rose."

Cora screamed and pounded on the door for like ten minutes before growing tried and backing up a few steps and glaring up the wall Till she saw a Roserade talking to her in a irritated tone and pointing at a sign she had not noticed before. Cora looked at the sign read it and glared back up at the Roserade for a few minutes before speaking. [glow=blue,2,300]" Sorry... I did not see the sign and did not know if that rule..... Roserade... If you please... Can you go get your trainer... I would like to have a word with him or her please....."[/glow] Cora said as nicely as she could for she was not mad at the Pokemon oh no. She was mad at its trainer for ignoring her and sending a Pokemon to talk to her instead... That what she was thinking anyway...


Treecko has now put his paws on the wall ready to climb it of the Roserade did not go get its trainer. For Treecko would love to give a piece of his mind to its trainer as well.... And even pull a few pranks on its trainer as well... Poochyena also had its paws on the wall. Poochyena was still not that used to Cora but after seeing her get angry like that he knew what happened to Charzard was bad and now wanted to help. Mudkip looked up at Roserade with a pleading look. [glow=brown,2,300]" Muud kiiip muud?"[/glow] She said asking Roserade to please go get its trainer.

[Jay]

The Roserade's eyes narrowed and he said nothing. No. Felis is busy, and I will not stop him when he is actually doing paperwork. Leave now and come back later Rosie said aloud. His eye threatened the Treecko more or less stating that if he dared climb the wall that the Roserade would knock him clear off the wall.

Master Rosie... who's at the door? Cecilia's sweet voice asked which in turn came out more as 'bay' and 'leef'. The Rosearde turned his head and sighed to the Bayleef.

Just more people asking to see Felis... This girl has a fire type too. Ugh.... The Roserade was resisting the urge to smack himself in the face with his rose petal hands. Turning back on the wall, he stared downwards again threateningly at anyone who made a move to climb the wall.

Cora frowned when she heard the Roserade say he was not going to let her in and was acting like a snappy noble! Cora started to get even angrier when Roserade said to come back later... [glow=blue,2,300]" I don't care what he is doing!! Nobles are normal humans to and that does not give them the right to ignore people like me!"[/glow] Cora yelled at Roserade. Now really thinking the noble of this castle was a royle jerk if his Pokemon where jerks as well.... Cora stayed rooted to the spot she was standing, for she was not going to get pushed around by a brat of a Pokemon!

Treecko glared back up at Roserade glare not showing any fear what so ever, He was not going to let a flower scare him off.. Then he saw his chance. Roserade had turned his head. Treecko linked quick attack and Agility and shot up the wall like a rocket. And by the Roserade had turned around Treecko was on the other side of the wall landed on a tree jumped down and used quick attack and Agility again to head to the castle door. With in second Treecko was at the castle door and ran through a small poke door. ( Guessing there is one if not will change post) and ran around inside and started Screaming. [glow=green,2,300]TREECKO!!!! TREEE TREEEE TREEECKO!!![/glow] and kept moving for he knew Roserade could be right behind him.

Cora blinked in shock when her Treecko got past Roserade when his head was turned and now worried if Treecko would be alright... Mudkip and Poochyena cheered and laughed when Treecko did that... It seems like this was going to be his biggest prank yet.

[Jay]

Within the walls of the castle something seized the Treecko instantly using Vine Whip and all but strangling him, Ellen leered sharply at the Treecko that had entered the door. She was angry and violent from all the noise not to mention scared out of her wits still from the Charizard attack. Continuing to close her vines around the Treecko, she was ready to suffocate it.

"Ellen!" a quiet voice said causing the Bulbasaur to stop and look back seeing the familiar face of the blond haired mistress Rosalba. The young girl was dressed in light lavender and was standing only four five at the tender age of nine years old. The Bulbasaur forced a light smile at seeing the girl and continued to strangle the Treecko. "Let go." Rosalba said after another moment. Ellen sighed and released the Treecko. The blond haired girl reached forwards, seized the arm of the Treecko, and walked out the front door. Looking around, she noticed Rosie running towards her with a very worried look.

However, the light haired girl simply smiled and laughed lightly. "Is someone at the door silly Rosie?" she giggled. The Roserade said nothing for he couldn't say anything on the matter. After a moment, the blond haired girl took it into her own consideration and walked over to the front gate door and opening it a fraction to look up at the woman standing on the other side. Holding the Treecko up, she grinned childishly. "Hi!" she laughed. "Is this yours?" She giggled a fraction up at the woman again with a very light hearted burst of spirit that lacked any sort of hate or pain for that matter. She was the innocent type through and through.

Feliciano had actually started to do paperwork which, by his standards, was rare and extremely odd to do. However, he had to get a few things done and had set out to do them in the end of it all. It was boring and tiring work as far as he was concerned, and the blond haired man would rather be outside rather than inside. He sighed a bit and continued working.

When Treeko got graped by the vines he started to scream even louder and struggled in vain to get free. Then could not breath as the vines squeezed him. Treecko thought it was over... All he wanted was to help Cora... And no he may never see her or the others again. Just then he heard a soft voice and a minutes was let go and fell to the ground gasping for air and glared at the Bulbasaur for almost killing him... Then the next thing he knew a cute little girl took him by the arm and started to lead him away. [glow=green,2,300]" Tree? cho?"[/glow] He asked as he was lead away by this girl who he felt was good so he did not try to struggle to get free.

When the girl took him back out side and he saw Roserade, Treecko smirked at him laughing at to him self that he got passed that brat of a Pokemon. And when the girl asked of there was someone at the door Treecko nodded. [glow=green,2,300]" Treecko tree treecko"[/glow] as if saying "yep my trainer is at the door." And again Treecko let the girl lead him to the door and smiled when she opened and picked him up and held up to Cora with a wide happy grin. His mission complete.

Cora watched as the door opend hoping it would be the head noble of this house and was ready to start yelling but saw it was a cute little noble girl who held up her Treecko. For the moment all anger faded from Cora and she smiled sweetly and took her Treecko from the girl happy he was ok and not hurt.
[glow=blue,2,300]" Yes, this is my Treecko. He was trying to get someone to the door.. I hope he was not to much of a bother... Anyway.. I was hoping I could talk to the head noble of this castle.. I have a few...Things I would like to say to him or her.."[/glow] Cora said with a sweet smile and tone of voice. She could not be annoyed with this girl. She was just to cute. And that she has done nothing to her or her pokemon.

Mudkip and Poochyena calmed down by now from laughing and where happy that Treecko was back and unharmed. Mudkip walked up to the girl and smiled up at her thanking her for breing Treecko back. Poochyena stayed back though, even though the girl was cute he did not know her and was not used to being around lots of people just yet.

Rosalba looked up at the girl for a long moment before looking back at the Roserade who had crossed his arms and was simply waiting to see what the child did. After another moment she looked back at the girl waiting at the door. "Why? Did you come to play?! Let's play a game!" she asked turning her head to one side as he extremely curly locks seemed to fall down around her. Cecelia moved forwards and seemed to be staring at other pokemon in the group. After a moment, she used Vine Whip to pick up the blond haired Rosalba and set her on her back again before looking warily at the Treecko and Mudkip. "Bay," she sighed outwards as though tired of the situation.

"Rose-rade," Rosie sighed back pretty much confirming what Cecelia had said. After another moment, the Bayleef turned and started walking inside. "Yay!" Rosalba laughed clapping her hands together as she got a Bayleef ride. Rosie stared at the woman and finally sighed outwards. Apparently, Lady Rosalba had spoken. Turning his head, Rosie looked at the woman and her pokemon again with a calm stare. "Rose-rade," he answered back as though irritated with the entire situation but having to yield to the compliance of Rosalba. He pushed open the main door inwards and stepped inside.

"FELIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII" Rosalba's voice shouted lightly and excitedly. Feliciano Rossi walked down the side stair case to the call of Rosalba who came running straight at him and tackled him nearly causing him to fall over. "Big brother big brother! I have a friend!" she grinned pointing back to the woman. Feliciano turned his head up and looked at the woman before smiling lightly. "Well hello," he said aloud. "May I help you with something, Miss?"

Cora looked at the little girl and waited to see what she would say and do. So for a few minutes she stood there smiling waiting. Treecko saw Roserade and smirked again and stuck out his tongue at Roserade and snickered, all to happy with himself for what he just did.. Even though he almost got killed it was worth it. Then Treecko looked at the Bayleef and smiled. She was a pretty grass type. Mudkip and Poochyena looked at each other then back at the little girl and waited to see if they would be able to go in side.


When the girl ask Cora why she wanted to see the head of the castle she was going to answer but the girl got the idea she was hear to play a game. Seeing how happy the idea made her Cora could not say no. She just laughed sheepishly and nodded. [glow=blue,2,300]" Yeah.....Sure lets play after I talk to the head noble.. Heheheh..."[/glow] She said and watched as Bayleaf pickup the child and take off with her on its back. Cora then looked at Rosie with annoyed expression as she waited for him to open the door and let her in. When Rosie did let her in she nodded a thinks and walked in following the little girl on the Bayleaf and when looked in awe at the garden, for it was the most prettiest garden she had ever seen. In fact just looking at this place almost made her forget why she came.

Cora then remembered and snapped out of it as she came up to the castle and took a deep breath and let out as she walked the steps into the castle its self with Mudkip and Poochyena right behind her and Treecko in her arms. Once inside she saw how big the castle really was and that was just the front room. [glow=blue,2,300]:someone has alot money to burn...."[/glow] She thought as she followed the little girl. When the girl called out for her brother Cora looked up to see Feliciano walking down the side stair case and smiled when the little girl almost made him fall, it was cute to watch. Then when the girl said Cora was her new friend Cora stepped forward and gave a little bow but her eyes where stern and serious and did not smile back. [glow=blue,2,300]" Yes, My name is Cora Bennet... And I would like to have a private word with you please..."[/glow] Cora interdused herself. Hiding her dislike infront of his little sister.

[Jay]

"Why?" Rosabla asked looking at the lady again. Felicino laughed lightly before patting her on the head causing the child to look back up at him.

"Why don't you and Cecelia go play in the garden. I know there are a lot of new trees that managed to grow a lot this year," Felis said down to his little sister who suddenly grinned and looked back.

"Bye!" she said suddenly taking hold of the Bayleef and then walking away. Cecelia made a protest but caught Felis's eye. She sighed outwards and walked away with the child mentally ready to force herself back there and stay there. Rosie crossed his flower arms again and looked rather intimidatingly at the woman's pokemon. Felicinao's face was light for as far as his sister got, but after a moment he appeared to look strained before looking back at the woman.

"May I help you?" he asked in a light voice keeping his air about him.

When the little girl left Cora's eyes and face became darker as the anger came back to her. For it seemed like he cared nothing for what happened to her Charzard.... she did not care for the reason they had... That Charzard could have been wild for they knew and he would have left it to die... [glow=blue,2,300]Yes, you can help me....."[/glow] Cora said darkly. [glow=blue,2,300]" You can apologize to me and my Charzard.... That Charzard you had song to sleep is mine... If I had not acted quickly My Charzard could have been badly hurt or even killed..... And that would have been your doing... What angered me even more is when you did not come out to see if Charzard was ok. And did you not notice that Charzard was not attacking?? OR do you just take out every fire type you see and not care if it lives or dies?.."[/glow] Cora said almost hissing [glow=blue,2,300]I see your the kind of trainer that only loves grass type and I understand your fear of fire.. Not all fire types go attacking things at random..... Also that sign... Needs to be moved down farther down the road... I did not see it till I came up to the castle wanting in.... If I had seen the sign I would not even have come here.... Now... Please apologize and I will leave and you most likey will never see me again...."[/glow] Cora asked and the look she gave said she would not take no for answer.


Mudkip, Treecko all looked at Rosie showing no fear what so ever. in fact they all just gave him annoyed looks and Poochyena growled at him a little.

[Jay]

Felis raised a light eyebrow and said nothing for a moment. "One," he began holding up an index finger. "I am sorry." he said aloud taking a bow and being honest in his wording. "I used Grass Whistle in hopes that it would leave the area or go to sleep outside the area not fall asleep in mid air. That has rarely happened if ever. They usually as I said before get drowsy and go to sleep on the ground or land even." Feliciano finished before putting up another finger in an almost peace sign way

"Two, please calm your tone while in this place. Rosalba has an unusual knack for picking up on human emotion as well as pokemon emotion, and I fear for her to have to stress over something such as this. I realize you are angry, but please do not show it as outright as you are doing now or I will have to explain things to her that I am worried will not go over well. I am not good at explaining the cruelty of humans now a days which is why I prefer not to speak on it." Felis said aloud.

"Three," Feliciano appeared to be finishing. "If you didn't notice the sign in the yard, I had them nearly all over the forest within a one mile radius. Either you have had super luck in avoiding them or have simply ignored them. I will take the prior over the latter because I believe it to be true. I make it very well known that I refuse any fire types anywhere near this house or these gardens. They are young overall, and a fire could easily harm them into death again. This castle has already been set ablaze one year prior to this, and I will not have it happen again. There are too many pokemon that make this area their home."

After that, Feliciano fell into silence and lowered his hand again before looking at the woman before him. Turning around, he started walking off. "Also, would you like to join me for tea?" he asked aloud. "I will have Ruru make it if need be."

As Felis spoke her anger wavered a little for she could feel that he was at lest sorry for what happened to her Charzard but he was still a noble and not very trust worthy in her mind. But he did a point for apologizing. Most nobles she knew would have just laughed and would have turned her down. As Felis continued to talk Cora's dark expression did not change much. But she did listen to what he said about the little girl Rosalba and nodded a little to show that she would not show anger around her. Again as Felis continued Cora she thought she had the most rotten luck at not seeing any of the signs and listened as Felis talked about how young the trees and garden was and how many grass type Pokemon live here and thought how terrifying it must have been for them to see a fully grown fire type flying over them.

Cora blinked when Felis asked her if she wanted to join him for tea. With out giving it much thought she shook her head.
[glow=blue,2,300]" No thanks... I got what I came for and I do not need to stay any longer... I thank you for apologizing... Most nobles I know would have just ignored, laughed and turn me away... I know you are busy... So I will just take my leave and get out of your way..." [/glow] Cora said in a nicer tone and turned and started to head for the door. Cora could not wait to leave this castle....

As Cora turned to leave Treecko waved at Felis then stuck his tongue out at Rosie. Mudkip turned to follow Cora as did Poochyena who was still growling at Rosie.

Now it was Feliciano's turn to blink a fraction as he turned his head to a half side and stared. "Wow you must have met some terrible nobles then..." he said with the voice more out of curiosity than anything. He couldn't think of a single one whom he didn't like but then again he only knew a few and the few he did know about were the major ones that included Adrian, Marcella, and Akira. Adrian did intimidate the blond haired man, but he had a sole belief that she was somewhere good inside. Marcella....well one could leave that to the wind or so. Akira....A light smile blossomed on Felis's face as he thought on the white haired boy. Akira was the youngest of the higher nobles, but he was very strong of heart and intentions.

"Nobles are supposed to hear people's complaints and make things better for the kingdom not turn people away," the blond haired man said aloud after another moment. "Sorry if you met some that weren't so nice..." Feliciano's face as mildly in pain as he said this, but he tried to at least force a half smile. "Anyways, if you really must go, I understand." Felis said before reaching into the sleeve of his jacket and pulling out a white rose. "But at least take a parting gift," he smiled lightly. "A white rose reminding us to keep our soul as pure as we can in the world today."

Cora stopped walking as Felis spoke. Something in his voice even made her turn to face him again. She studied Felis and at a closer look noticed he did seem to be a nice noble.. That was rare for her to find. All anger seemed to melt away and her body relaxed. Even her expression softened and she even gave a small smile. She then blinked when Felis offered her a white rose. Cora looked at it hesitantly before slowly lifting her hand to take it. When she had it in her hand and held it to her nose to smell it.
It has a sweet smell to it, Cora liked it a lot and looked at Felis with a sorry expression. She had been mean to him out of her hate for nobles with out even giving him a chance... A life time habit of hers that would be hard to drop.

Cora then did a small bow and looked a Felis in the eye. " I would like to apologize for my rudeness. I was unfair to you to treat you this way. I can see you are nice and caring.. Felis was both surprised and extremely happy with the comment from the girl. For half a second, he could only smile there. After a few seconds, his eyes moved down to the girl's pokemon and then up at her again. "I take care of the things that mean the most to me," he answered back after a few seconds. "Though I guess you could say the same, neh?" he laughed lightly at this comment thinking about why she had been frustrated at him with the Charizard.
