As Bellator tripped the Eevee, he tried to go forward and pursue the Eevee to the point that he could get him trapped into a state of vulnerability. However, he noticed that the fox started to dig into the ground and into the basement. He believed that the Pokemon would finally fight back, as he prepared to brace what he assumed to be a Dig attack. He sank into an awkward silence as he realized the Eevee had used the move as a means of escape, and growled, frustrated.
In the meantime, Garci and Lexus watched her descend slowly into their level. When Lexus heard her question about a game, she would decide to tell her the truth, talking in Human language to assert her point. "Play? Well, really, what we're doing i-" Garci realized that she was about to say what had really been going on, and would clearly have none of it. He interrupted her mid-speech, saying "Is playing tag! Yes, tag. That Pawniard is attempting to tag the Eevee, and in this version of tag, you have to tag the player that's it and then, um.. you win! It's.. human tag." That explanation, he had hoped, would suffice to explain why the nature of this 'tag' game seemed so backwards.
Bellator's frustration seethed as his desire to stop the Eevee dead in his tracks grew. To try and keep a massive pace ahead of the Pokemon, he paced about quickly with an Agility. He sped through the room to test himself, and when he felt he was ready, prepared to leap down the hole. Stairs were unnecessary when you were hurrying like this Pawniard. Stepping back twice, he made a running step and a hop right into the hole, screaming out some sort of war cry. <I'M GONNA K->
<-atch you, yes! See, he's going to catch him and try to win. You can't let him do that, can you?> Lexus reluctantly joined into the act to fulfill her trainer's desires, as much as she hated to lie. <Yes, you should definitely try to tag the Eevee first. Try not to let him get away, or else that Pawniard will definitely win.> Garci offered a subtle thumbs-up behind his back at Lexus, happy with the fact that she seemed to go along with him rather than audibly disagree. "Right then. Let's uh, go to the basement and go find him." Garci spoke as the two headed down the stairs hurriedly.
The Pawniard, once he reached the basement, started to speed around the room for his target. His mind told him only one thing - find a White Eevee and coerce him into staying put. When, and if, he found his target, he would use Mean Look to try and force them into staying put.

The trio reached the bottom stair, and Garci balled his hands into fists as he saw the Eevee split into four and run into different directions. The thing wouldn't want to give up on running, would it? He had to be more coercive into getting the Eevee to turn on them, and to do so, he had to damage it to the point of retaliation. He racked his mind for methods to counter the fox, and after simulating it several times over in his head, he decided to go with an attack that couldn't conceivably miss.
"Bellator, use Faint Attack and aim to trip it!" It seemed like an odd way to drive the point home, yes, but it would most assuredly suit their necessity to prevent the creature from moving. Trying to think ahead of time, he considered a use for Lexus. "Lexus, try to wrangle the Eevee with a String Shot!" The Pawniard moved forward first, melting into the shadows and almost seeming to teleport from place to place, attempting to trip each clone with one of his blades.
To whichever clone that seemed to have a successful hit on it, Lexus formed a String Shot from her mouth to try and slow the Eevee's escape. Shooting it forward, however, she found that the range wouldn't be nearly enough, and that she instead accidentally hit Bellator with it. Temporarily wrapped in string, he growled fiercely and angrily at Lexus, slashing away the strings. The effects incurred by Agility had now been halved, but in exchange, his Defiant ability helped to increase his Attack.
Garci shouted out in further frustration at the accidental folly. "You moronic insect! Try not to go for your own teammates next time!" From his point of view, it seemed as though the Larvesta aimed for the Pawniard rather than the Eevee, something that had him seething. Lexus shook her head, attempting to shake off the immediate error and managed to look up at the Emolga, pointing her presence to Garci. "Garci, there's an Emolga on the roof."
The Pokemon just don't stop, I tell ya. He looked up at it, and noticed its difference from others he'd seen in Unova. ..He must catch it. "Signal to it with a Will-o-Wisp, Lexus. Maybe we can get her to come down here." She tried to speak in a strange mixture of a loud, yet gentle tone, perhaps like a mother calling to her child to return home. <You can come down here if you wish!> To confirm, she formed a Will-O-Wisp in the air, the orb of fire flying up for a moment and bursting into sparks that shortly faded away.

Lexus hastily set up a Light Screen to try and properly endure the Shadow Ball, but due to the simple fact that it was done in haste, its effects still hit her. She noticed that the Eevee was attempting to flee hurriedly, she looked back up at Garci. There was no way he was intending to let it go. She saw his frustrated expression, and knew that something had to be done. Her gaze almost seemed to ask him for orders, as though she was the one who wished to battle this time.
"Garci..?" "I-I don't care how you do it! Just STOP that thing!" Right before Lexus could do anything, Bellator's blades started to crackle with small sparks as he touched them to a stair and inexplicably launched a Thunder Wave, which coursed down the stairways and intended to directly strike the Eevee. While the electricity continued to head down, the three cautiously avoided going into its path, running down the stairs. Bellator prepared an Agility, a ferocity brimming in him as his desire to chase him expressed itself.
When they were assured that the generation of electricity left the stairway, Bellator stood on a banister and jumped down recklessly, a pounding noise generated when he hit the ground. He followed the electricity arcing along the floor, trying to find the Eevee himself, Garci and Lexus still moving down the stairs, left behind. One thing that Garci should have realized, yet didn't, was simple - How in the world was a Pokemon like a Pawniard able to use such an attack?

Hm. There didn't seem to be any harm in attending. Garci thought to himself, mulling over the possibility of going to this seminar. He was never quite a big fan of archaeology, while he took part of a course in it while he had been educated, it never was one of his interests. But, it most certainly attracted interesting people to its following, and furthermore, he might find more people such as Layton to see and finally have them as peers. Not that others weren't, but they aren't quite as well schooled nor mannered as he believed himself to be. Nodding in affirmation, he agreed. "I will be about for a few days, so I suppose that there would not be any harm in attending."
Edgeworth listened to Luke, and to him, nearly found it as an unintelligible accent. He was able to get the gist of it the moment after the Golett finished and talking. He heard his question and considered it. Edgeworth, for all of his supposed intellectual prowess, never had been expressing an interest in puzzles either. But, to refuse one would be rude, and he was raised by only the finest. It might prove to be a little bit fun, anyway. His answer was simple; he wasn't one to overload his vocabulary. <Yes, I will take one.>

They moved slowly down the stairs, as they noticed the strange lack of activity in the clock tower, compared to had it been as they were ascending. Lexus had known what it was, and pointed it out to a confused Garcian. "While we were at the top floor, the loud battle between Bellator and that Klinklang probably caused an echoing effect all along the floors below. It isn't quite the presence of a Trainer so much as it is their probable worries that the clock tower may have been collapsing." Garcian shrugged, attributing it more to his presence rather than what she explained. "Uh, thanks for the explanation."
Looking down the stairway, he noticed an Eevee running to the bottom stair, exhausted. He wasn't quite able to notice its unique coloration from their distance, but something about the fox Pokemon's presence in the first place confused him. He remembered, when looking up information about the tower itself, the Eevee was not one of the Pokemon that had been shown to be commonly found there. Maybe he was along with another Trainer and had been leading the Trainer over there?
Bellator woke up while still in Garci's arms, as he jumped immediately down onto one of the steps. Garci nearly fell back into the stairs, afraid of being sliced by one of Bellator's several blades. "Arceus damn" Was he trying to kill me?! Lexus shook her head at the Pawniard. <Please do watch yourself, Bellator. Remember the amount of sharp things you're decked out with.> Bellator crossed his arms, grumbling out a reply. <He should know better than to pick me up when I'm asleep and vulnerable. He deserves it.>
Shortly forgetting about the moment of Bellator's awakening, they continued down the stairs, eventually near the very bottom step, noticing the albino Eevee. He looked fatigued, and troubled. ".. Is.. Is that one an albino too? What are the odds?" Lexus, not quite mindful about the color of the Pokemon so much as his current condition, moved up to the creature and asked, <Hello, there. Do you need any help? ..While I'm here, too, what are you doing here? Pokemon like you don't seem to be found very often at all around here.>

Garci smiled as he watched the three Pokemon escape into three PokeBalls. Yes, while the capture was good, he believed he should keep them inside for now. They'e probably had quite a day, and, like the Klinklang, need a proper rest before they are taken out of their Balls again. However, his are still ready and rearing to go, according to him. He needed Lexus to help persuade Pokemon, quite possibly also for battling, although he'd never watched her do so before. Bellator was certainly a formidable fighter, and he needed him should the need for fighting arrive. Edgeworth had similar persuasive ability, according to Lexus, but his knowledge of only Pokemon language would hurt his chances.
He rubbed the back of his neck, saying something to the Larvesta reluctantly. ".. I hate to say it, but I don't know if things would have ended quite the same without you, Lexus. ..Thank you, I guess." Lexus nodded at him. It seemed he was at least starting to realize his errors and learn. Maybe this wouldn't be as hard as she believed. Deciding to be the one to break up whatever awkwardness the moment created, Lexus spoke. "What do you propose we do?"
"We've already caught quite a few Pokemon today. Four, really. But.. I think we could go for one or two more to find. I.. guess I could let you stay out of your Ball like Bellator." Speaking of which, the Pawniard was still fast asleep. Garci stepped up to the bladed creature, careful not to poke or cut himself on his precarious-looking ribs, hands, and helmet. He picked him up gently, still very careful not to hurt himself. The Pawniard rested limply, as though Garcian had been holding a child. "Let's go, then. Bellator should wake up soon." The three of them started to head down the stairs, rather than aiming for the ground level, deciding to look to the basement, as well as looking at whatever floors they pass along the way.

He looked down at his hand a moment after Layton shook it. That was a gentleman's handshake. Garcian remembered his father's teachings, how the contact of palms between men and how they shake hands can tell you everything you need to know about them. This man's was firm, not forceful, and seemed to reveal quite the genuine gentleman qualities in him. Then again, he didn't really trust his own dad's advice in this case, and nearly dismissed any of the memories he just reminisced upon. The man's a professor, though. Now he HAS to trust him.
He adjusted his hat as Layton asked him. "I'm not busy at all, Mister Layton. I came here after leaving the more.. treacherous parts of Era. A nice walk out on the town, rest in a quality hotel, a trip of leisure, I suppose you could say." He momentarily also noticed the conflict between the Golem Pokemon and the penguin. He whispered to his Piplup, "Edgeworth, don't stare."
[/i] Turning his head back again, he had an inquiry about the Professor himself. "I assume that your career as a Professor has you out here on business? Might I ask, at that, what sort of a professor you are?"Edgeworth looked down with a small amount of remorse, moving his flippers back to his sides. <I.. apologize. It is something I have a tendency to do, and I cannot deny it has vexed more than a few others before you.> He wasn't as accustomed to do it as he thought he was since his arrival on the dock, but he offered a flipper forward, almost half-heartedly trying to make his acquaintance with the Golett. <I am Miles Edgeworth. And.. you?>[/left][/blockquote]

Garci tipped his hat to Layton as he commented on his finery. "Likewise, sir." Well, though he doubted it, he is now going to strike a question with this equally refined-looking gentleman. Granted that he stood about 6 inches shorter than the good professor, he looked up at him, a small smile creeping onto his face. He adjusted his suit for a moment. It was a reluctant gesture to make, granted, but he extended his hand to the stranger. One with such a refined nature deserved it. "I am Garcian Garcia. What is your name, sir?"
Internally, he wondered what someone like him would be doing here. True, it was a better place than other he'd seen in the region so far, but he hadn't expected someone who had dressed as elegantly as he did here. Not that it was a bad thing - it certainly was quite the opposite. Finally, someone to match him in conversation. Not only that, but finally Thanos would have someone to talk to. ..well, of course, if this Layton individual could understand Pokemon. In all likelihood, he probably can't, Garci assumed. He only met one person who could and.. well, he wouldn't like to internally third-person monologue out that memory.
Edgeworth looked at the Golett before him, not saying anything. It seems this Piplup doesn't enjoy conversation, and would only respond if obliged to. Although it was accidental, just something that Edgeworth tends to do, it appeared that he glared directly at the golem Pokemon, flippers still crossed as he usually has them. Garci noticed this momentarily, eyes temporarily diverted to look at him. He'd like to scold him for acting rude in front of a new face's Pokemon, but he immediately looked back at the gentleman before him.

Lexus smiled (again, not sure how she'd convey this but she does), acknowledging their decision. <I'm glad you decided to come along with us. I'm sure - well, I hope Garci will be, too. After all, he did go through these lengths to help you. Some other trainers may have just left you to deal with it, or worse, capture you. That is to say, they're not bad.> She seemed intent on defending their actions just as well as she would condemn some of them, as though acting as an intermediate judge.
"Garci." At that time, Garcian had almost reached a state of sleep. One of his eyes opened drearily. "W-Wha?" "After we talked, the Pikachu and the children she's watching have decided to come along with us so that they can find safety. It's very easily for her to lose them around here, you see." He was still a little bit lethargic from just having been awoken from near sleep, he nodded. "Uh, good, good! Here." He got up to his feet slowly, grunting as he did.
Again fumbling about in his pocket for some Balls, he took out four, stuffing one back in. With three Pokeballs, he placed one gently on each one of them, enlarging them to capture size. "Just press the button and it'll attempt to capture you." Wonderful, he thought to himself. I didn't even have to tell her to convince them. She did it all by herself. ..Wait, am I talking about Lexus in a sort of term that serves as more than just 'useful?'

The flashing lights of Escapade City. After weathering through a particularly insufferable lady at the docks, chilled to the bone and shadowed with doubt at a forest in the North, and scaling a massive clock tower in the center of the region, Garcian could finally face leisure by walking through the marvels of a town that seems to have few diminished qualities since the economic crash. It had been a beautiful night, most certainly, and to avoid a slight chill, he had been wearing a tall-looking stovepipe hat in the color of gray, surrounded snugly with a dull blue band. Not only does it help somewhat with the cold, it looks so stylish with the gray suit coat he had been wearing (rather than his usual sweatervest) for more protection.
His assistant had been the now-trainee Prosecutor Edgeworth, flippers at his side. He looked around town, but didn't quite seem to be as dazzled as the marvels of the city as Garci had. After getting as much of a look as he could tolerate, he turned his head to look forward instead, eyes sometimes looking to the side to inspect the people in his path. The sheer amount of folks walking about in the area, he couldn't lie to himself, made him feel somewhat anxious. He had hoped that someone wouldn't address him, though he is more than certain he'd be able to stay proper and talk to them. That Pikachu was no easy obstacle for him at the dock, and an encounter here wouldn't likely be much different.
Garcian eventually looked to the Ferris Wheel, a marvel to behold. Towering over many other buildings in the area, lit up so brightly in contrast to the nigh pitch-black darkness were it not for the lively city, it looked imposing. Another thing he enjoyed was the decorum and pleasantness people had seemed to exude. This was unlike the dock, where people seemed to be unkempt, and smelling deeply of fish. Disgusting! He had been afraid of being robbed by some brigands who may as well have lived there, though it was certainly quite the contrary.
As the duo continued to walk, he noticed he had immediately passed someone that appeared to be dressed in a somewhat similar outfit. It was strange indeed, but at least his dress was also fancy enough to be regarded as respectable. It was a handsome visage indeed, and he nodded respectably as he walked by. There was certainly no likelihood of him talking to him as they passed. None at all. Nope. Garci wouldn't be expecting that, but it probably won't happen.
...It could, though. He wouldn't deny it.

The Larvesta nodded again, and would smile at what she said. <Don't worry about it. Confirmation is something everybody needs at some point.> She still had the idea in the back of her head, and considered posing it to her now. <If you're truly concerned, what you could do..> She frantically looked to either side, worried about what the Pikachu would reply with in return. Would it be anger? Paranoia? Would she accept? Her anxiety was mounting.
<You could.. come with us, if you really wanted to. You, the Plusle, and the Minun. That way, the twins could still be kept safely, and you could still see them. I'm unsure if my Trainer would quite agree, but if he does, you'd all have a home.> She shrunk somewhat after speaking her mind, still worried. <It's.. just an option, though. I won't insist upon it.> Her voice even sounded uncharacteristically weak, as though she regrets asking in the first place.
Garci looked at the Ball he caught Thanos with in the first place. ..Thanos? Albeit, that was a name out of absolutely nowhere, but it sounded appropriate. He believed it meant something along the lines of 'immortal', and it's appropriate, given how old the Klinklang is, his durability, and his persistence in keeping his gears moving. Yes, it was appropriate. He wondered how a much larger-than-usual Pokemon even managed to fit into the Ball. It jostled about in his hand, as though recovering and still full of energy. He wouldn't let him out, though. Not just yet.

Garci had given up on the small grouping of Pokemon temporarily. He sat near Bellator, on another side of the pillar. Sitting against it, he looked down at him. Yes, he did indeed show a clear display of himself as a proud, strong fighter. He goes into fights with reckless abandon, and doesn't seem to care for his current condition as opposed to making the enemy's worse. He's heard rumors about Shadow Pokemon presence in this island. Given how violent the Pawniard already is, he realizes the inner fear, the possible nightmare of the thing becoming a Deep Shadow, let alone a Shadow Pokemon in the first place.
Lexus nodded thoughtfully. <They do seem like quite a handful. I can understand your concerns, the concerns about these children walking out on their own, getting lost. It's a good thing we came in time to save her. I'm sure whatever distracts you from watching them is a difficult thing not to pay attention to.> Her eyes darted to the side, knowingly, at Bellator. <Often, Trainers, I find, can pick a lot of fights against Pokemon that may be busy, too. Sometimes other Pokemon do so..> She turned back to her. <I'm sure if there was more you could do to preserve their safety and keep them under control, you would. You seem to be an invaluable enough of a maternal figure to them as it is.>
An idea came to her mind, but it was something she was reluctant to point out, especially since the Pikachu already mentioned how the twins had been orphaned, and how she had herself. She wouldn't point it out until the Pikachu responded, still mulling it over on whether to tell her or not. Furthermore, she feared, if Garcian wouldn't even accept them, or if he would accept them and not properly treat them.

After his trainer captured the Klinklang, Bellator decided to recover whatever had ailed him during the battle. He endured a massive amount of damage from the Pikachu and the Klinklang combined, and needed to rest. Just like that, he moved near a pillar and laid down, leaning against it, using Rest. His eyes closed shut gradually, as he quickly fell asleep. His trainer, noticing this, pulled out his Pokeball, considering for a moment. However, if he was so intent on fighting here, he allowed him to remain and rest while they were at the top of the building.
Garcian returned to the side of Lexus and the electric Pokemon, sitting against the wall. "Grub, how are you getting along with the Pikachu?" Lexus darted her eyes to the side and said, "We're getting along very well, thank you very much. Don't you have a 'warrior' to train?" She looked back at the Pikachu. Garci shook his head and put his palms in the air. "We're not having this discussion again. I brought him along because he wanted to. A nice change of pace from you is nice every once in a while."
Lexus looked completely unhurt, not fazed by any petty insults Garcian could give. It's just another thing to tolerate as his guide. <Don't worry about me. He never quite knows what he's talking about. His petty one-sided quarrels are a little bit cute, really.> She talked to the Pikachu, and in hearing what she said, she tilted her head in slight confusion. <What do you mean? What more could you do?> She looked momentarily to the children playing again, intrigued by their close bond (though for these species, such a pair would obviously be typical)

Bellator, making his last slash down, attempted to appear undeterred by the Screech. After successfully landing the Brick Break, he wandered about clumsily, now showing a clear sign of his fatigue from the battle and the effect of the piercing scream. Though it didn't quite matter at this point, his Defense petered down to its average level. Realizing his triumph, he put one foot over the gears, standing in a triumphant pose. He actually managed to pull off defeating the massive opponent, granted that he had already been strengthened by a previous encounter.
Garcian wiped beads of sweat from his forehead in relief. Letting satisfaction sink in, he stepped up to their defeated opponent. Fumbling in his pockets, he reached for an unoccupied Pokeball, looking at it contemplatively for a moment. This Klinklang might be useful. Its unique, inexplicably large size could make him popular in trade markets. However, it was shown to be very resilient in battle, and seemed to be at first docile. He crouched down, pressing the unoccupied Pokeball's button to the now collapsed Gear Pokemon.
Lexus nodded understandingly. <That's so kind of you. A lot of young Pokemon in the wild, I've found recently, have been scooped up by Trainers, some even while in the nest of their parents. Trainers like mine may not understand it so immediately, but they may be disturbing connections. They may raise them well, but the parents will always miss them. The reversal in this situation is saddening, and I'm glad you managed to fend for yourself well in that regard.>
Garcian turned his head back for a moment. He was looking at the strange Minun still, mulling over whether to convince them onto his side or to simply capture them. The Pikachu seems to be their guardian, so attempting to take them by force seems to be less than a good idea. He realizes his Pokemon diplomat/disgusting and impossible bug Pokemon was still there, and might be useful for helping sway them.
Bellator stood at the Klinklang's side as Garcian attempted to capture it. He crossed his arms, weary, tired, and almost himself unconscious from the fierce battle.

The gears managed to hit him this time, as the Pawniard reeled and thrashed, attempting to get out of his grasp. When they started to grind, he cried out in pain. The enhancement of Attack for the Gears somewhat canceled out the type disadvantage of Steel against Steel, but the pain as well as being ground twice wasn't something to be ignored. A shrieking pain filled his bones, as he finally managed to escape the gears the second time it used the Grind attack.
Garcian looked visibly worried for Bellator. He certainly couldn't take much more from what he had seen, and this fight had to end soon. If Bellator took another Gear Grind, it could easily mean for more unnecessary pain beyond fainting. He had to do something to bolster his defenses and make sure he can finish off the gears. "Bellator, use Iron Defense and then try one last Brick Break!" He clenched his fists, biting his lips. The fate of the battle could easily depend on this.
Nodding, the Pawniard hardened his body to the state it was before the gears screeched into his face, his Defense rising. Slicing his blades together, he ran straight for the Klinklang, uncaring of whatever consequences a sudden dash would incur. Making a desperate karate-chop motion, he used Brick Break again, making a sudden, reckless leap forward in doing so.
The Will-O-Wisp couldn't be maintained for much longer. The spark was strong indeed, but it would surely run out of its flame soon. The orb of fire slowly and gently surrounded the Plusle and Minun, moving slowly enough to ensure that it doesn't cause them to become burned. After a few orbits, it hovered into the air over them. Shards of heated webbing sparked away from the bursting wisp, burning out into nothing after a short time of being released.
Lexus finished her little display, keeping her frontlegs together. She was glad that the two enjoyed the show, and moved closer to the Pikachu's side. <Hello again. I was curious - do these two children have any relation to you at all, or are you simply watching over them? Were they orphaned?> She showed genuine curiosity, as these children seem to be able to easily wander into trouble, had they not been properly taken care of.

Though he had felt that the lady was going to stay away from them now, he couldn't shake the doubt in his mind. It wasn't about direction - no, he has assured, and essentially insisted to himself that he was following the proper way to the hot springs. There he'd finally be able to relax in the spa, and clear his mind of any crazy forest-dwelling women who took some sort of penchant to lost people and walked up to them spewing weird riddles or anachronisms.
Doubt was never absolved from his mind, no. He was worried, primarily about if that crazy woman had still been following him. Of course, he was unable to notice if she was in this dense forest, but it continued to worry him. Just what would she do if he found him vulnerable at any point? She could strike and pilfer all of his money, or be very rude to him if he impedes on her progress. He shook his head, beginning to think aloud without realizing that the Hypno was still there. 'Just got to get to that spa. That's all I need, I don't need to risk a confrontation with that lady.'
The Larvesta 'smiled' as she heard the Deerling's confidence raise while she was speaking. She saw her emotions dwindle gradually as she thought about the woman's words, and tried to reassure her. <It's okay, it's okay. I believe you. I'm not sure what the lady was trying to gain, but I'm sure she was lying to you, just trying to get in your head.> Lexus kept moving forward with the group, noticing the Jynx, looking troubled while walking the trail. When they had walked near her, she decided to try and render what assistance she could. <Hello there. What's troubling you?> Garci put his palm over his face. Great. Now they get to interact with that.. thing.

Bellator, who had been under the floor for a long time and was starting to lose his grip, leaped up from the ground, high in the air for a moment. As he jumped down at what he thought was the Klingklang, he slashed down at a doll. Realizing the mistake, he stomped the ground in frustration. Not only that, but his attack hadn't even caused the Substitute to fade yet! The only advantage he saw was that the Klingklang only made itself weaker by creating the doll. The moment of anger was immediately interrupted by the approaching gears that had attempted to grind him up. Hopping backwards to avoid the attack, he barely managed to avoid being pinched and painfully ground.
Garci had seen one of Bellator's moves several minutes ago, he realized something could be applied here that he had done before. "Bellator, use Swords Dance into a Faint Attack!" The substitute's presence could be easily used to their advantage. Again, Bellator started to enter into a fanatic, yet graceful dance, blades raised into the air. After going through several swinging motions within the dance, he seemed to fade into the shadows, only to appear in front of the substitute and jab a highly-sharpened knife in its direction to strike it.
Lexus was never a show-offy type. However, she thought that she might be able to at least make the two at first frightened children happier by entertaining them. Therefore, she decided, she would put on a little show for them. All of her horns released a small burst of fire, the flames converging to form a single ball of pure heat. It was a Will-O-Wisp, as the orb, acting like some sort of intelligent being of flame, was being controlled by the Larvesta. It surrounded her, flying gently and slowly. As it orbited in front of her, she released more String Shots, the jets of what could be considered webbing surrounding the wisp, bringing forth the appearance of a fiery orb surrounded by orange-red strings, heated up almost to the point of melting.
Garcian shortly turned to look at Lexus. It was a pretty display, the wisp, but he wouldn't expect the Larvesta to do something so self-indulgent and dismissed it as obvious bragging, not realizing that she merely wanted to entertain the younglings.

Immediately as the Klinklang made that terrible screech, Bellator covered his ears with his blades, still able to hear it, reeling. Distracted, he had lowered his defenses to his neutral point, therefore rendering the effects of his Iron Defense used previously null and void. It took him several moments to get back into position, shaking his head rapidly.
Garcian also heard the Screech, covering his ears as well. In similar fashion, he shook his head to recuperate immediately, still feeling a harsh ring in his ears until several moments after the gears finished screaming. Immediately afterwards, he returned to thinking of the next move. To use Brick Break again would be easily expected, and most likely easily countered. He needed another move to ensure their victory, and had thought up the most implausible possible one. "Bellator, use Dig!"
<What?!> He turned again in shock, wondering how in Arceus's name could his trainer command him to do something of the sort within a building environment. "Just.. Just improvise, Bellator!" Nodidng his head, Bellator quickly dug into the floor, drilling downwards with his blades. Popping up beneath the floor and the ceiling of the floor under him, he carefully hooked his blades to the ceiling, digging his feet into the ceiling to stay well-attached. Slowly and carefully ceiling-crawling his way forward, he managed to reach the point where he had heard the Klinklang's gears churning.
This very moment wouldn't be a terribly good idea for a move, and without concentration, could easily leave Bellator losing his grip and falling to the depths below. No, this had to be a move to wait for. The Pawniard had actually felt a sense of fear, knowing well how risky this move could be. It had already been a seemingly impossible feat to dig into the floor in itself, but now he had to re-enter without incurring any serious risks to himself.
Lexus nodded in reply to the Pikachu. <Bellator is a little bit.. out of control. I can only hope that he doesn't-> That was the exact moment she was interrupted again by the Bellator, this time, indirectly. He dug through the floor?! The idea of doing such a thing seemed entirely ridiculous, could cause major damage to the floor, and Garcian of all people was the one to make the command? Though, noticing the Minun paying attention to her, she waved one of her feelers in her direction, spouting out a miniscule, controlled amount of fire from her horns, and would absorb them back quickly to ensure no sparks started to occur.

Bellator placed his arms in a guarding position, blades obscuring his eyes. As the Mirror Shot hit him head-on, he was sent backwards a few inches, though bracing up the attack, its power still managed to get him to slide backwards on his feet. Putting his arms back, he shook his head after taking the shot. It was a highly bright attack indeed, though not effective as a means of truly harming him as the Steel vs. Steel type advantage went.
Garcian reluctantly got into a stance to command Bellator, not wishing for it to be, but now forced into this circumstance. He hunched down slightly and entered combat with the system of gears, commanding his pawn every step of the way. However, he saw nothing else but to use Brick Break again. It was the most viable attack to use, given the fact that he seemed not to know anything else that would do highly effective damage, let alone effective damage at all. Pointing a finger forward in fashion typical to Trainers, he commanded, "Use another Brick Break, Bellator!"
The Pawniard turned around, inquisitive. Finally his trainer had been taking action in helping him with strategy rather than standing back. Although there wasn't quite much else to do in the situation, he was glad he wasn't the only one taking charge. Turning back around to his opponent, he moved forward and did another chopping motion with his blades, unleashing a second Brick Break.
Lexus sighed and moved near the position where the Pikachu and the two children she was looking after were. The scope of the Klinklang's attacks seemed large, and Bellator was a savage fighter. It would be wise to stay away from them, as much as she hates to admit it. She attempted not to encroach on them too much, only sitting a manageable distance away at their side. It can't be helped, she thought, watching Garcian command over Bellator. Even if he might disagree, his Pokemon needs his guidance. He's beginning to look like a trainer now. She giggled to herself, slightly amused.
