The plan fell through the cracks. We realized, the moment it was too late, she had caught on to our ominous, dubious schemes. Our plan hadn't been as hushed as we hoped. Rather, its conspicuousness seemed to shine through to her eyes. Reports of our failure had been sent to others, and it is now a blatant sign here. We could not hide.. our appreciation.
Anyway, that said, I do very much appreciate you, SG. I also very much wish that you'll feel better in the coming days, and hope that this thread helps as well. You're mature, considerate about the needs of others, and helpful, exactly the qualities admins need and are so appreciated for. Taking things further, you're nice and most certainly an interesting person to talk to.

The Larvesta seemed to be surprised in seeing that her attempt to free the Plusle had been successful. <Thank goodness..> she said to herself, silently. Garci raised a brow as he turned to watch her maneuver having actual success. Granted that he had a great amount of doubt that it would actually help her, and thinking it would do more harm than good, he shrugged when he noticed the Pokemon was now free.
Of course, the Klinklang would respond adversely, just as Garcian and Lexus expected. For the moment that the Klinklang prepared its Thunderbolt, Bellator guarded himself for another electrical attack, likely much more powerful than that of the Pikachu's. However, as he watched the lightning suddenly arc into the Pikachu, he had been relieved, and stood at his regular offensive stance. The Klinklang attempted the first strike. Now, he felt there wasn't much the Gear Pokemon could do in retaliation to his attacks. He separated his feet further, and raised his right blade in the air, it shaking wildly as he prepared something.
Lexus hurriedly explained the reasoning behind awakening the massive Pokemon. <I'll tell you the meaning, if you do not mind it coming from myself. I was the one who sent that String Shot your way. I insist that I meant you no harm, however! That Plusle, she had her tail stuck in your gears, most likely when she and the Minun were playing. I was just trying to help lubricate her out of your gears. Please understand we me-> A somewhat long explanation had been suddenly interrupted.
"PAWN!" The time that Bellator took to prepare his attack seemed to have lasted as long as the Larvesta's explanation. Suddenly, he charged forward, while Garcian put his hands to his hips and shook his head. It's as though the thing doesn't understand the meaning of self-restraint. As the charge halted when he reached his target, his right hand, still raised in the air, swept downward in a chopping motion, a Brick Break attack aimed at the Klinklang.

While they had ascended the stairs, Lexus heard the sound of the Joltik's discharge from down below, and knew that the teeny, tiny spider had most assuredly been safe from certain danger. However, this stopped being relevant the further they had gone up. Secretly, she wished to see the Joltik after she escaped the confrontation, simply to know for sure she was safe. Still, she seemed deeply concerned by what they saw when the reached the top of the tower.
Garcian felt a secret success deep within. They had actually reached the top, surprisingly quicker than he at first expected. Still, there seemed to be one more obstacle in their path before he truly felt as though he had achieved something. The massive Gear Pokemon had trapped the poor Plusle's tail. Most assuredly, he felt he would be able to convince the Minun onto his team and hold a deep advantage over his spiteful enemy, the Cricket. Imagine the trades! Still, those gears were positively massive, and likely had strength proportional to their mammoth size. To turn against the thing would likely be very dangerous.
Most stricken of all by the newly-encountered Pokemon was Bellator. He had never seen a Klinklang of that size, not showing much consideration about the Plusle who had been trapped by it. Lexus and Garci stepped near the Klingklang, deep in thought. "Waking it up might require more than words," Garci said. "If we damage him, though, he might turn against us." Lexus agreed, thinking of what they could possibly do to loosen the rabbit from the gears' unintentional grasp.
To rouse the machine awake in any way might be a serious danger to the Plusle's tail anyway. It's very possible the gears would continue to grind and, if placed in just the right direction, grind up the rabbit's tail. However, if the Klinklang had been awoken, still by any means, it's highly likely that it will attack them. The only one capable of opposing it most properly, Garcian thought, would be Bellator or the Pikachu. Even Lexus stands a chance, given her typing advantage, but the size of the thing remained to be a daunting obstacle.
Lexus piped up. "I am able to use String Shot. It's possible that we could use it as a sort of lubricant to loosen up the Plusle's tail and get her free. All that it would need is for it to be heated up, so that it can act as a warmer fluid rather than something meant to stick." Garci rubbed his chin for a moment, before nodding. "Alright, use your natural, disgusting capabilities as an earwig to save the day, Lexus." She started to do just that, at first charging half of an Ember and keeping it within her mouth. When she felt she was unable to take it anymore, she webbed her frontlegs over her mouth and began to spit a heated up String Shot in the area where the tail had been trapped within the gears, in an attempt to lubricate her free.
Bellator, already filled with intense, stored boosts from his Hone Claws and Swords Dance, continued to prepare for a fight that he would hope would most assuredly happen. He held his arms, not his blades, in a crossed X-shape position again, as his body began to harden even further. He had been using Iron Defense, to prepare himself for more attacks.

As they were running, Garci looked at the Chatot and the Hoothoot. A peanut gallery of Pokemon, just a couple of dumb birds. He was confused, of course, by the Chatot pecking at the wall, but didn't think about it for too long. He continued to follow the Pikachu, moving up the stairs with her, careful not to step on the owl. As they ascended to the higher floor, he surveyed the room for any sign of them, as well as anything else in the area.
Along the way, Bellator saw the Chatot. Its disdain for the wall was inexcusable, and he believed the thing should be beaten up for the mere offense of acting so stupid. As he moved forward to challenge it and its reign of wall-piercing, Garcian immediately grabbed him by one of his arms, dragging him along while they moved to the stairs. "We don't have any TIME for this, we've got to get moving!" Bellator, though wishing very dearly to break free of his grasp, couldn't quite do a thing, only able to try and squirm, of course, to absolutely no effect.
However, always-perceptive little Lexus noticed what Chatot was aiming for the whole time. While running with the group, she managed to call to her tiny fellow Bug type in distress, knowing full well how easy it could get the upper hand. <Use an electric attack to paralyze it, don't just keep trying to avoid it!> she said, as Garcian turned his head down to her. It appeared she was calling to the Chatot, and he scolded her. "Don't get its attention, Lexus!" She exasperatedly replied, "Are you too blind to see that a Pokemon is in trouble over there?" "Yes! The Chatot WILL be in trouble if it keeps breaking its beak against the wall, but that's none of our business!" It had been too late for her to run back to assist her, as they were already at the stairs by then.

In lieu of a giant hammer thing, we have a sledgehammer. Why not? Also, because he hails from seedier, gang-ier parts of Era, here's the closest background I could find to anything shady and dark.

Garcian just watched as she went into that bizarre cat-like pose. With a sense of perception, and having seen cheap Pokemon magicians before, he noticed her hand reaching into her pocket and placing the veil over herself. As she allegedly disappeared, he watched her leave a visible footprint into another tree. However, that's really as far as he would be able to go, as he wasn't able to see her going into the branches. "I feel like that will not be the last time she's going to show her pretty little face around here."
He communed back to the Hypno, 'Yours and the Deerling's senses are more credible than whatever wild goose chase she was prepared to send us on. I'm going to head on that way to the spa. My offer still stands, if you want to follow me.' Turning around, he noticed that the footprint remained. Oddly, it was slightly disturbed, the snow raised under it somewhat. It must have been some addition of snow of some sort, probably from him turning around.
"Maggot, we're going to the way the Pokemon sent us. Take the Deerling with you if she wants to." Lexus giggled. 'Maggot.' It must have taken him all day to come up with that snappy observation. Such naivety from such a young, insufferable boy. She gestured with a stubby leg to the deer. <If you do want to come with us, don't be shy! You can just follow us to where you directed us. I guess Garci doesn't trust whatever direction the woman pointed in.>
Garci muttered as he started to walk in the direction of the hot water the Pokemon pointed to. He didn't care about how long it would take, he just felt absolutely assured that they were right. "Thinks that I could ever trust a sudden stranger with that sadistic, foxy grin. The nerve."

Bellator twitched angrily as Lightburst ceased mid-fight to scamper off and go find a couple of inconsequential children. The very nerve disturbed him, as he clashed his knives together and used Hone Claws again to catch up to her. As much as he would like, he still wouldn't be able to equate to her speed, his usage only boosting him to half of her use of Agility. He didn't wish for it, but he decided to postpone the fight, for now. This was promoted by the simple fact that Garci was calling out his name while he tried to chase after the Pikachu. "Bellator!"
As much as Garcian hated it, he realized that he could put his Pokemon ambassador to very good use in this situation. It would allow transport through the clock tower with ease, and possibly even be able to convince the Minun onto his team so he could probably dangle it over Cricket's head like a cat to keys. He reluctantly releases the Larvesta, who looks around confusedly. "What do you want, Garci? I thought you were going with Bellator." "We've had a change of plans. This Pikachu lost a Plusle and Minun she was looking after. Could you help her?"
Bellator crossed his arms, rolling his eyes at Lexus. The fiery bug could outmatch him twice over, given her typing. Not only that, but he didn't very much like her more calmed, less impulsive nature nor her lack of desire for fighting. It just wasn't something he quite respected at all. Still, he's duty-bound to follow Garci, and whatever 'wisdom' he has. A thought that he and Garci seemed to share was that they would be able to encounter more Pokemon in the search, more targets to fight in Bellator's case, more rare Pokemon to collect in Garcian's.
Garci continued to point the direction where the two Pokemon had gone. Lexus moved up to the Pikachu and asked, <Excuse me, Garci asked me to assist you. I suppose he wishes for me to translate, or something to that note. We should start moving together, though, so we can at least catch up to them. Where do you believe they could have gone?> Garci, Bellator, and Lexus start walking in the direction they left in, hoping the Pikachu would follow along and talk with Lexus while moving.

Bellator hadn't realized his error and still struck, feeling 'assured' (haw haw) that he had done at the very least significant damage in some sense. As the Pikachu boosted her defenses, as though raising a shield, he had become frustrated. They were consistently competing with their statistic boosts, be it speed or defense. Rather than attempt to meet or cause her defensive abilities to decline, however, he started to raise both of his blades in the air and clash them together constantly. The Pawniard made several rhythmic motions, proudly displaying his two hand-poniards.
His Swords Dance movement filled him with a great fervor, boosting the ferocity of his Attack to meet her prepared defenses. His dance ended with another leap forward, both blades headed down in her direction, arms shrouded in darkness. The leap strike was a Night Slash this time, and would likely be somewhat diminished in accuracy given how sudden it was done right after the dance.
While Bellator was engaged in the dance, and his subsequent Night Slash attempt, Garci noticed the two Pokemon run deeper into the tower. Remembering for a moment that the Pikachu had been watching, perhaps guarding, over the two, he attempted to get the Pikachu's attention, trying not to interrupt his Pokemon, whether the Night Slash succeeds or fails. "Er- Excuse me!" He stammered, at first, before pointing in the direction the two left in. "The Plusle and Minun, they're walking deeper into the tower." He realizes that having that albinic Minun would be able to get him a serviceable advantage over Cricket the terrible, and that he should make an attempt to capture it. Hopefully the pair wouldn't be long gone by now.

The Pawniard immediately realized the error in his plan when the Pikachu used Agility yet again, and noticed the mouse, after having re-strengthened her speed, was charging a Thunderbolt. Deciding to use this against her, he stoutly stood his ground in front of the mouse. He had waited for her to fire the ray of lightning at him, and took the attack head-on. Stepping backwards in an indignant irritation, a grin would have been displayed under that white mask of his. True, the attack battered him somewhat, but he would be able to use this to his advantage.
Garci, however, had no idea what Bellator was intending. He just watched his Pokemon get blasted by a bolt of lightning and reel back from its effects. What are you doing? Why did you just.. stand there? Obviously he could determine that he was planning something, but what could possibly be gained from just standing there and taking electricity to the face?
Just as he recovered from the attack, Bellator leaped forward at the Pikachu. The shock of the thunderbolt could still be felt in an incredibly unpleasant sting throughout his body, but he managed to shrug it off and attack. He jabbed his right knife forward at the Pikachu, and sliced slowly to the right, attempting to hit her with an Assurance, which had been strengthened from taking in damage only seconds ago.
As Garcian spectated, he felt a strange prod to his leg. He looked back to the two miniature rabbits, one of them giggling about whatever shenanigans they were up to. Cracking an awkward, aware smile, he turned back to the fight. It's not as though they were going to do it again, no, they were just being playful, right? Rather, he had a slightly concerned look on his face. Was Bellator going to do this the whole time? Take a hit from the Pikachu and immediately retaliate? No, he wouldn't do something so stupid.

Bellator remained in stance, prepared for anything the Lightburst would be able to dish out at him. He hadn't expected, however, for her to match and even go beyond his enhanced speed with Agility. This turn had frustrated him entirely, as he clashed his knives together again. This time, not an attempt to use Hone Claws again, but to keep them in an X formation. He began to shake violently for a moment, holding something within himself, before unleashing the X.
What was unleashed was not a slash, but a whiff forward not meant to attack her. Rather, the Pawniard now had an intimidating change in eye color for a moment, a glowing Yellow. This was a Scary Face, his attempt at discouraging the Pikachu back into a regular state of speed. What he didn't quite tend to realize was that the Pikachu could use Agility again and simply replenish her increased speed, and that this could very easily become a war of attrition where he would have to wait for the Pikachu to become tired or annoyed.
Garci realized this the moment Bellator pulled off the attack, but not wanting to interrupt a fight that he hadn't even started, he moved slowly and silently over to the electrical twins. Rather than do anything peculiar or hostile, he sat down, a defeated look on his face simply because of the fact that his Pokemon actually refused to hold back at all. He may as well go into a safe area with the Plusle and Minun, rather than risk being caught in the crossfire of the fight. Wonderful. He's fitting in with pests now.

Garci hunched down slightly, for reasons unknown to him. It was probably the instinctual position a Trainer took to prepare for a fight and get a proper look at the battleground, but he wasn't even sure if it was even going to escalate into that. Frankly, he'd rather just keep progressing up the daunting stairways and floors to gather evidence of his presence there and see what else the place had. The albinic Minun somewhat tempted him, but again, he feels he would be wasting his time and separating those poor, poor twins. Wait, did he seriously just consider that as a reason not to capture it? Still, if he hadn't given Bellator, the crazy thing, his way, he would fear for his own safety.
The alleged warrior nodded as a sort of salute as the Pikachu stated her name. <Bellator,> he replied, knives still at either side of him. He pulled them up for a second and clashed them together, sliding their cold metals apart and doing it another time, perhaps as an attempt to intimidate. They certainly did look very sharp, though that probably wouldn't say a terrible lot to deter the Pikachu. The Pikachu's question entertained him. There was only one reason for which he would challenge the electric mouse, and he had thought it obvious enough to himself.
<Challenge. You look strong enough to fight as you are, and so I am challenging you.> The reason was plain and simple enough, though not quite what one would call neither eloquent nor charming. Finally, the Bellator stuck his knives out in front of him, brandishing them into the air in front of them, and hopping to his sides. The thing was quick on its feet, and was very willing to show it off. Granted that he had no idea what to expect from the mouse, except for what could possibly be electricity. He's not going to make any bets on that, though.
Granted that he hadn't quite launched an attack yet, he seemed prepared for one. To prove his willingness to go through with it, he honed his knives, doing that same clashing movement he had done just a moment ago, only several times, in very rapid succession. In doing this, he had essentially used Hone Claws, preparing his knives as well as himself. The knives had more of a sheen to them, in effect, and it appears that the Pawniard had been pumped up as a result, hopping at a somewhat faster speed than he had before.
Garcian had no positive reaction to this. His Pokemon had just used a move that he didn't even command him to do. It's not that he really minded the move's use itself, no, it would be very practical to use in this situation, but the very fact that Bellator had the nerve to disobey his trainer to the point where he used a move on his own frustrated him to no end. He shakily pulled out his Ball, but at the last moment, resisted temptation and stuffed it back into his pocket. Sighing, he shook his head at the Pikachu as some sign of apology.

Garcian stood still as he saw the twin Pokemon run about with each other, noting the fact that one seemed to be totally white, a strange quality, yet highly intriguing. Whatever fun they were having he didn't much at all care for, just some sort of strange game of tag they were sharing. As the Pikachu looked at him, he turned to look at her. Raising a brow, as though questioning wordlessly, "What are you looking at?" he moved on. The affairs of these pests loitering in the clockworks meant nothing to him. That is, had he not been interrupted by his Pawniard.
Bellator had his knives at either side of him, arms held still in a neutral stance. He stepped toward the Pikachu, glaring right at her. Oh for the love of Arceus.. Garci thought, realizing what his Pokemon wanted. The pawn also saw the pair that the Pikachu was watching over. These maggots aren't worth his time, but the mouse looks as though she could provide a proper challenge. "Bellator, we aren't to waste our time on-" "Pawn." The creature interrupted him, uncaring for his protests.
He wouldn't challenge her immediately, no sir. He may enjoy a good fight every once in a while (once in a while being all the time), but he has his manners. <Name.> His stance intensified somewhat, as he moved his legs apart and stood his ground roughly. He wouldn't want to inappropriately fight an anonymous opponent, nope. Bellator has class and manners, and he would rather fight his uncivilized, unworthy opponents while knowing their names to inform their next of kin.
Garcian put a palm over his face, sighing. He wanted so dearly to return Bellator, realizing how poor of an idea it would be to let him assault an innocent Pokemon so immediately. Honestly, it would be more of a problem to him, as he would have to strain himself by telling the Pawniard what to do. It's a waste of time in his busy, busy schedule. He stepped in front of the Pawniard and the Pikachu, trying to prevent Bellator from getting any closer.
Even then, however, the Pawniard would have his way. He made a break for it, right between Garcian's legs, crouching and running in front of him, again returning to the similar combat stance he had prior. Garcian realized he would be too close to the rodent if he moved any further, and had given up. Wonderful. Now he has to waste his energy, which could have been used for much FINER things, to have a battle that he didn't even approve of. I only hope the rat doesn't take him too seriously. Nobody ever seems to.

Rather than take his regular companion (that being, the very same one forced on him), Garcian decided now to take a Pokemon that seemed to desperately wish to have some action at last. If one were to make a guess, they would have known by know that Edgeworth is more reserved and seems to fight when he wishes or feels totally necessary, and Lexus was being held up. Clearly, the most viable option is that barbaric little Pawniard. One thing he hadn't QUITE thought up was the simple fact that he doesn't understand the creature's language, as opposed to Lexus, who can act as a translator and help them in avoiding confrontation.
But this isn't no sissy Larvesta rabble, this is the whole reason for the show - fighting. Now the second question arises: For what reason could Garcian possibly be visiting a place such as this? Perhaps it would be best to describe exactly what he told to his Pawniard just on the opening steps to enter the tower. As in, right at this moment.
A howling wind fills the air as the pair stand outside the doorway. "I had heard rumor about the clock tower stopping to signify that order will only exist so as long as the Loyalists were in power. It's something of a curious case to me. I do not believe in superstition or anything like that, but maybe whatever's preventing it from being fixed is worth checking out. Not only that, but I'll be able to hold over Cricket's head the fact that I managed to scale the Clock Tower while she hadn't. It'll give me a cool, natural high."
Bellator stood still and looked up at his trainer as he described his reasoning for entering. His dribble was boring in itself, something he didn't quite care for. What he did care for is what sort of enemies he'd find in the place, what sort of bastards he would have to make pay for having the mere shameless arrogance for even stepping up against him in the ring. He'll make them pay. He'll make them ALL pay.
This, he thought to himself internally, as they made their first steps actually inside of the clock tower, as Garcian turned his head up to get a good look around the tower.

Garcian nor Lexus could properly sense whatever was in the direction that the woman had been indicating to. His senses were not necessarily honed, nor was she capable of detecting scent from very far away. She could feel the heat in the direction, but the same could be said for the Hypno, the Deerling, the woman, and Garcian himself. Peculiarly enough, she detected another, faint signal of heat that quickly disappeared, something she had dismissed as something faraway.
'Wait, you smell something as she does? How far away is it?' Garcian subtly dug his boot backwards to make a pointing impression. The heel of his footprint is pointed in the direction that the Deerling and the Hypno indicated to, should a battle or other such occasion occur and he would lose his direction. "You continue to forget yourself, lady. You have said nothing about how I would be able to trust you over these Pokemon."
Lexus moved forward, now a few steps away in front of Garcian. She seemed to be more open, less suspicious, but inquisitve instead. "My trainer may have.. lapses, in judgment," "Excuse me?" "...but I agree with him now. What evidence do you have that would allow us to believe you with all sureness?" While she asked the trainer, Garcian snuck out one of his Pokeballs from his belt, a ball marked with the 'dome' on top of a Pawniard's head. He grasps it, minimized, within his fist, prepared to send it out if the conflict heats up.
'I don't trust her. She approaches us in that manner, then seems to be acting so worried about you two misleading us.' As Garcian communes with the Hypno again, he notices something in the trees. Oh. Two Murkrow. It's odd that he hadn't seem to have noticed them before, but they're not very far off in the path at all.

When the Deerling offered to lead them, Lexus clapped two of her legs together. <I am grateful for the offer. If I can somehow convince Garci to follow you, I am sure he will realize the error of his poor judgment.> Just as she turned to Garcian again, he piped up.
After having seen the Hypno himself point in the same direction of the Deerling, he turned around, allowing the prior question he had asked the hypnotist to sink in his mind. "Lexus, we're going to the direction both the Hypno and the deer pointed in. I suppose they both know the way we are intended to go."
Just before Lexus could say anything, the new arrival just so happened to jump from the tree. Her grin seemed to appear to be ominous, mischievous, something she had a feeling Garcian wouldn't stand for. When she landed on the ground, Garcian took a surprised hop backwards, going into something of an apprehensive stance, his right eyelid raised up a bit in confusion.
'Has she been following me the whole way here?! He thought this both as a telepathic question to the Hypno, as well as a question to himself. His eyebrows slightly narrowed at her grin, and as she started talking, he turned his head to its side somewhat to express his suspicion. "And just what business is this to you, lady? Why, exactly, do I have to trust your guidance over theirs?"
Garcian's stubbornness seems to refute any sort of doubt in his mind - these animals who have probably lived within this forest for their whole lives seem much more trustworthy than some crazy woman who has the agility of a monkey and the similar trickster attitude of one. He didn't seem to have noticed the Kecleon following along, and nor did Lexus.
It was something he felt he should avoid, given that this stranger had followed them through the whole path. They were both trainers, he knew this, simply by looking into her eyes. This same eye contact could launch a conflict, or he could merely back off and ignore her. Lexus seems to be fired up, not in the literal sense, of course, but metaphorically upon seeing the poor Deerling sniffling when her credibility had been brought to question. Somehow, she actually managed to agree with Garcian in wondering just what grounds the woman had for intruding so suddenly and asking these questions in a clear attempt to fill them with doubt.

Lexus looked at the scatterbrained Deerling confusedly as she appeared to be locked deep in thought. Somewhat entertained by her attempt at determining the proper direction for them, she let her point her head forward. <I see, thank you for your assistance. Granted that I don't believe that my Trainer would listen anyway, I am sure he would be convinced after looking at the experience of natives such as yourselves.>
Conveniently, Garcian turned his head to check on Lexus as the Deerling pointed her head forward. "How the.. Hey, Lexus, you actually managed to get a direction out of her?" Lexus turned, nodding. "She says that hot water is far away in the direction she is pointing in. I am giving the decision to you, but I would trust the wisdom of nature over my own in your position." He turned back around and visibly rolled his eyes in the direction of the Hypno, not intended for him but to express his refusal to listen to a mere insect to him.
Though his concentration was gradually waning because of the communication, he shook his head in an attempt to regain focus. 'I'm sure you've already heard it from my Larvesta, but the deer over there believes that there's a mass of hot water, apparently the closest source, in that direction. If not a spa, then are you aware of any hot springs or large sources of hot water in the vicinity?'
He was starting to get the hang of this mental communication. It would be another ability that may prove useful to him, though anything else but this one he can't quite seem to think of at the moment. This is the very same moment where he had begun to consider the Hypno's assistance. 'Excuse me, but, while we're at the discussion of proper direction, where are you headed off to? I would respectfully allow you to leave if you desire, but I feel as though your wisdom would make quite an addition to my team. Excuse the, er, arrogance of the offer.' His mind brimmed with worry about whether or not the Hypno would approve, and how he would react after having the question asked to him anyway.'

Garcian's lips warp to the left somewhat as he watches her marvel over his Pokemon, no longer even paying attention to the Trainer before her but rather the Pokemon he laid out. To attempt not to stoop to her level, he resisted putting on an expression similar to that of her Pikachu, that being, placing his face in his palm. Rather, he just shrugged and allowed her to look at them, as though to insist the worth of his Pokemon over hers.
What is her problem? She just diverted everything to them. I suppose they ARE splendid enough to command such attention, but something seems terribly off. Dismissing it as mere interest, he turned to speak to his over-sized bug of a lifetime companion. "I'm not sure whether to believe that I will have a wonderful time here, or possibly an atrocious time in this place." "It's dependent on your perceptions, Garci. You'll see, and you'll decide." Garcian rolled his eyes as she passed on that nugget of knowledge, again diverting his attention again to his Pokemon.
Edgeworth continued to stand still, flipper-arms crossed, as Pepper approached him, offering her paw. Remaining still for a moment, he extended his flipper and shook it with her. What a manly, authoritative handshake. <Yes, I am Miles Edgeworth. The feeling is mutual, Ms. Pepper.> Granted that he had said that only to continue proper decorum and manners, she could see that in any perspective she wished. Bellator, to Edgeworth's side, seemed to be giving Pepper a wary glance.
"Don't try anything too forward, bub. I've got my eye on you, your little bug friend, and the ghost over there." It seemed Bellator was acting as some sort of bodyguard to Edgeworth, but at the same time, he could just be looking out to start a scrap via intimidation. His knives were sharpened and at the ready, but he knew not to try anything until they approached him with hostility first. Everyone was a target, everyone was in some ways a threat, and everyone was under his watchful eye.
As Cricket turned back to Garcian, he nodded as she looked to him. As he heard her, he mulled over a few things. The woods. For some reason, it doesn't quite surprise me that -she- hails from the woods, of all places. "I know neither of these cities, Miss, er-herm, Cricket, but I suppose the closer area would be more favorable."

Lexus nodded approvingly in lieu of a smile, continuing on. Now right in front of the Deerling, she pipes up. <I believe that Garci wanted to take us to a hot spring. Do you know of any in the area?> She looked back to his trainer, who appears literally to be locked deep in thought, though this would be quite obvious given what he's already doing. <I am glad that there is decent help such as yourself even within the forest. To be honest, I haven't quite seen many other Pokemon since I arrived in this region.> Granted that she realized that she was simply making small talk, she shied away from talking any further and awaited her response.
Garcian moved closer to the Hypno, now at the bottom of the hill, simply looking up at him. 'I guess I should realize that you can read my thoughts no matter what, so it is somewhat of an inevitability that you will know how I feel.' He rubbed his temples gently with his gloved index fingers. The chill of the snow actually helped, as he attempted to relax his mind. Mind speaking turns out to be a little bit taxing on those inexperienced. 'I suppose that I should simply tell you everything, then.'
Awkwardly crawling up the hill, he decided to face the Hypno, wary to avoid that hypnotic medallion of his. He had seen some trainers in Hoenn with this Pokemon, capable of hypnotizing others, the term 'others' probably also extending to humans. 'We were headed on our way to a spa, a secluded one at that. I assumed that using this forest would be the most convenient possible way there, so I took the path. I suppose in hindsight, it wasn't such a good idea. The name 'Wayward Forest' sounds a little ominous for someone seeking a direct path.'
