This was it. Their plans were finally set in motion, and nothing would be able to stop them soon. Era would be filled with the glorious black light of Shadows, and this time no obnoxious brats would get in the way. The only thing that was left, then, was to get enough Pokemon to fill this army, and that was just what Kali was doing today.
Kjaerlighet the Shiny Flygon flew to the gorge's edge, hovering some moments. Kali's stomach lurched at the sight of the canyon before her, and she tried to concentrate as best she could on the ground only a few yards below her instead. Of course, as her eyes caught sight of the "bridge" set in place, nothing she could do kept her head from spinning. Just get to the tower. But... so... far... Just.. tower..
Swallowing hard and closing her eyes, she urged the dragon onward, and Kjaer quickly darted over the expanse of nothingness to the middle rise where the tower rose and landed, allowing a trembling Kali to fall off onto the ground below, panting. Gradually higher flying over sand? Okay. Not a fan, but okay. Dealing with a thousand-foot drop to certain death?
Carefully, Kali crawled closer to the edge and peeked over, only to find it far worse than she imagined. Her vision went blurry as her mind all but shut down, and she tried to push away only to find herself seconds later reaching for the ledge again as she suddenly threw up a bit over it. Rolling over on the the hot, sun-scorched rock afterward, she lay on her back panting for nearly half a minute. Don't... look down again... Got it...
Kjaerlighet blinked at her trainer's odd behavior a bit before finally deciding to move closer and poke her with her tail. Taking a deep breath, Kali caught hold of this and pulled herself up. Doing her best to resist her nervous glances back toward the cliff's edge. Recalling the Flygon, then (there was no way in hell she was risking her way out of here getting injured), Kali headed toward the tower's entrance. She suspected there'd be more Pokemon taking refuge inside than out in the open heat.

A Gligar stood just inside the entrance of the tower and appeared to more or less be meditating there. He was a calm creature by nature and did not attack when the sound of footsteps echoed out. Opening on eye, he looked off to see who had come towards or had entered the tower.

Kali caught sight of the Pokemon and stopped a moment. When he looked to her and did not react, she blinked a bit. Interesting.. "I didn't mean to disturb you," she said quietly, then wondering what he-- her eyes flitted down to his tail: yes, most likely he-- would do.

After a moment, the Gligar raised an arm and waved in greeting as though more or less welcoming the human girl to the tower. He rarely saw humans, yet he believed that they were, in a sense, like rare pokemon... just not something you see every day. This was what intrigued him... most indubitably.

Kali smiled at the Gligar and cautiously moved closer. Stopping a few feet away, she set down her bag and sat down next to him. Still smiling, she again simply waited, seeing what he would do. She was actually quite pleased with this first find. Gligar were not exceptionally powerful on their own, but they were quite easy to evolve, and Gliscor were quite nice indeed..

"Glig?" the Gligar asked raising an eyebrow and looking towards the girl wondering if maybe she would strike up a conversation or something of the like. Of course the language barrier was.... annoying, yet still the idea of a conversation none the less made him happy.

When he just kept looking to her, she finally mentally shrugged and decided she may as well say something. "So.." she started. "What were you doing?" she asked. She wasn't trying to pry, per se. She just wasn't sure what else to talk about.

The Gligar blinked at the words, thought for a minute, and then nodded suddenly moving back to his somewhat meditative form as he had been before. Releasing it after a few seconds, he stopped and nodded as though trying to explain the gesture but having a bit of difficulty doing so.

Kali blinked and thought it over a bit, but then nodded. "I see~" .....Hm. An idea began to form in her head that just might work.. "Do you meditate often? And do you enjoy it?" she asked the Gligar with intrigue.

The Gligar nodded at this and then smiled easily. "Glig-gar" he answered back stating that he liked doing it quite a lot and that he thought it somehow helped with balance. After a moment, he asked why she wanted to know, but the entire thing came out in 'glig' and 'gars'.

She tilted her head a bit, still smiling. "But doesn't it ever get hard?" She looked around the tower, finding herself actually admiring the architecture in the process, though the gesture had been intended just to help fill the conversation. "There must be a lot of distractions when other Pokemon come around."

The Gligar sighed and nodded at this statement but seemed to more or less mutter to himself in a hushed tone on the matter. Sometimes they just don't know when to be quiet was the general thought. The they of course were the other pokemon that inhabited the building.

Kali's smile turned into a bit more of a smirk as she glanced off a bit. "It must get annoying.." She paused a moment as if thinking, though she already knew quite well what she was going to say. Feigning an idea, she continued, "Hey Gligar? What would you think if I knew a way to help you ignore those distractions? To make it so almost nothing could break your focus no matter how annoying it should be?" Her words were coated in sugar and sunshine.

The Gligar blinked and seemed to turn his head to one side as though wondering what this could possibly be. "Glig?" he asked aloud wanting her to elaborate.

She turned back to him, still smiling. "Mm-hmm~" Seeing him still questioning, however, she decided she'd probably misinterpreted that 'glig'. She may as well explain then. "Well, it's.." How to best explain it to a Pokemon? Hm...
Ah~ With a small half-laugh, Kali pulled her bag over to her more and pulled out a PokeBall. "Be careful, now. This guy's not nearly so calm as you are, so he might seem a little scary overall. But he knows how to focus like I could help you~" With that, she tossed the ball some feet away and released Ronen.
The Shadow Wailmer glanced only briefly at the surroundings immediately before him when he materialized, then set his eyes firmly on Kali and stared intently. He did not move, and even his breathing was barely noticeable. He seemed the slightest bit tense, but was otherwise, for all purposes, blank.

The Gligar stared at the Wailmer with a surprised look on his face. The entire creature seemed different from most, yet he was also calm and seemed to be in his own world even then... That was just....amazing.... o3o The Gligar wondered how such a thing could be done...."Gligar-glig!" he said looking towards the girl asking how to get in such a focused state.

Kali smiled. Bingo~ Pulling out a PokeBall, she held it out to him in offer. "My friend back home can teach you, if you want to come with me and learn~" Which brought up another point, and she figured she may as well add it. "I might mention where I live is probably just a lot more peaceful place to practice anyway. Tehe~"

Well now... as far as the Gligar could see there was absolutely no downside to this o3o. It was quieter... he could learn.... yes thsi worked out well, indeed. Tapping on the ball, the Gligar disappeared inside without so much as a complaint, and a Ding of capture sung out less than a second later.
Name: Species: Gligar Gender: Male Ability: Sand Veil Personality: Meditative and quiet overall, this Gligar tends to try and think deeply about the universe around him. He rarely gets upset, but when he does it is usually concerning the noise level in an area. He tends to try and avoid conflict as much as possible.

Kali gave a small giggle as the ball teleported away to her storage back home. "Welcome to the team," she said, though clearly more to herself. With that, she recalled Ronen and put away his ball; it wasn't good to keep him out unnecessarily. That settled, she continued deeper into the tower, curious as to what else she could find.

Father inwards there appeared to be a division between two room, and as one walked through the arch way, she could see two pokemon were conversing. Another Gligar was apparently talking to a male Nidoran about something, and the latter of the two was nodding and appearing extremely interested.
