"And just what are we conspiring?" he asked with a cooler smirk now. Amina seemed to turn and directed a thought at Nathan to which he could only seem to smirk a bit more from. "Ah," he stated aloud. "It seems so then." Yue just rolled his single eye a bit and shook his head slowly before slowly looking back at Nathan. "Anyways... I think the rain has let up..." he stated taking a half step back meaning to go back to the front and continue on their way, it seemed. [/scrolly]

After a few seconds, he looked twoards Nathan and Ami with a rather interesting stare. "Good-bye," he finally stated before taking Kali's hand and slowly starting to walk with her out of the library. Nathan looked at Ami. Ami looked at Nathan. That was.... Nathan's thoughts started. Rather interesting don't you think? Amina's thoughts projected back. You read my mind. Nathan smirked a little. Yes I did. Ami smiled back. Both seemed to move slowly back to the chairs. Nathan sat downwards and picked up a book/ However, in another moment, Ami sat down on his lap. Nathan stopped a moment before slowly smiling and moving his arms around one to wrap around the form of the Gardevoir and the other to continue holding the book. Want to read a story together? Nathan's thoughts asked. Ami took the book and closed it before leaning back on Nathan. How about I tell you a story. She smiled back. Nathan chuckled to himself but finally nodded. After a moment, Yue found himself standing outside of the library, and rather than a rain now, the water had settled into a fine mist about the area. "See? I told you it had stopped raining," Yue chuckled to himself looking sideways. [/scrolly]

Lucky guess. Not that it really mattered. She understood his desire to get away. Really, he'd done pretty well compared to his reaction when they'd both bumped into Nathan in Scorch way back. Or... other than... Ah, still. Heh. Nodding to him, she simply murmured a soft, "Guess so." So now to get her ring<3 Teeheehee~ The mist and quiet and easy temperature and everything... Their walk was really very ambient, and Kali found herself just drifting off into daydreams as they headed toward the commercial district. She could see... their wedding... red and white roses and somewhere beautiful and serene... And them exploring mysterious places around the world... the maze-like forest in the Sevii Islands or that electric cave in Unova or the like... She could see..... A deep blush colored her face. She could see.. him holding a pale child.. and being a generally loving father and just...<3 Somehow, the idea of him spending time with their future children made him suddenly the most attractive she'd ever thought of him, and Kali hugged his arm tightly, happy just to cuddle without explanation. This day... was perfect. Even with the bullshit that morning. Barring him suddenly dropping dead, she really didn't think anything that could happen could possibly dampen her mood longer than a few minutes. She knew she couldn't for more reasons than one, but the child in Kali wished every day could feel just like this one~ .... Although... She suddenly went rather more blank with the realization most days were very far from this... Mm. Well, she could fix that, right? With a small but wry smile, she looked up to her master. "Hey," she called. "I know what I said, but something just hit me." Part of her thought she was about to sound pretty selfish, but her cynical logic slapped it and said she wasn't even taking it far enough. "If you really want to marry me, I do need one more thing." Her nerves stood on end, but outwardly she kept an easy calm, just almost seeming teasing, even. "I don't mind if you don't jump to it right away and have to build up to it at first, but... From now on, I want you to take at least one day a week off of work." She forced a smile. Yue didn't speak but simply moved through the mist with Kali at his side. It was... rather nice, really. At Kali's words, Yue's eye slid sideways and stared at her. One day out of the week........m........ but. =3\;.....well.... but....... "I'm going to need more workers," he finally laughed a little before shaking his head a bit. "It'll.....take me some time... but... alright," he finally sighed a little before slowly smiling again. As they continued to walk through the fog and finally came to the commercial district, Yue began to look around through it rather slowly. He hadn't been ring shopping before... or any jewelery of that matter...ok .. Most of the time he only came to pick up supplies of pokeballs and some machine parts and the like.....Kali did most of the shopping as it was... Hmm...."Any idea of a specific store?" he asked. "Eh, we needed more friends anyway." Content with his answer, she just snuggled a bit and continued walking. At the question, she thought just a moment before shrugging. "Whatever we see whenever we see it. Just keep looking until something catches our attention." Which really did mean her attention, but if he just hated something somehow, Kali wouldn't be opposed to settling for something else they could agree on. An easy smirk had found its way to her face as she really realized, most everything would be 'them' and 'theirs' from now on... Teeheeee~<3 Which reminded her, actually... Spotting something that might look like a jewelry store logo about two blocks down, Kali began leading him toward it even as she turned to him with a slightly teasing look. "By the way, you do know I'm going to be finishing moving the rest of my things into our room tonight, right~?" Yes, our. She liked that~ But yeah, she'd been alternating between their rooms for a few months, and he'd said she could 'eventually', and a good few things had somehow migrated already. Yue resisted the urge to laugh and did so well enough though a rather interesting smile was now plaguing his features. At the idea on the jewelery store, Leon simply nodded his head. That was simple enough right? It seemed that Kali had caught sight of something before he had, and as she led, he simply followed. Yue raised his eyebrow at the words that came next before half smiling. "If you have time today, you mean," he answered back rather easily as he finally began to see what Kali was leading towards. We might actually need a bigger room.... now that he thought about it, Yue found himself putting a hand to his chin. Well, they'd see... It was then that he too caught the full grasp of 'they' instead of one... heh..... As the neared the shop, Yue noticed that it seemed to be a rather small but respectable shop of sorts. Finally coming to one of the windows, Yue looked inwards and could see at least one person roaming around rather slowly. His eye then slid down to the display that was behind two frames of glass one of course being the window itself and the other being a glass display box. There was quite a bit in the box including necklaces and rings of different size and shape. [/scrolly]

Once they'd arrived in the store, Kali wasted no time in finding the selection of engagement and promise rings, as well as any random fashion diamonds. "You know.." she mumbled to Leon as her eyes continued to methodically scan. "I don't really care much about tradition, and I really love garnets and rubies more than diamonds.." A few of the prior hung from her ears right now, actually. All the same, she smirked. His eye was trailing pretty much everything in the jewelery store but not settling on anything just yet. "Well if it suits enough and you find one you like, then we'll get it. Simple as that," he answered back rather lightly. Finding his eye settle on one ring for a good second or two, he then allowed it to look sideways at the one next to it and then to still different rings. Finally settling on a simple gold ring with three hearts (two facing inwards and one facing up) with a diamond in the middle one, Yue looked sideways at Kali. "How about that one?" he asked pointing it out but then looking at others just out of curiosity. [/scrolly]

Kali was just about ready to try the next store. Everything she saw she liked was more in the wedding-ring department, and/or just entirely too expensive and gaudy. She was looking for something simple. Ugh. It hadn't sounded as hard when she'd thought about it as it was actually proving. Damn her extravagant tastes.. About that time, however, Leon actually pointed something out. Blinking, she moved over in front of him to see, staring for a bit. ...Well.. That was actually pretty cute... And the hearts and open bits made it rather more stylish than most of the regular bands. And of course it was a romantic thought, if a little bit silly. She was sure she could probably find something she did like a bit more eventually, but this was right here, and he liked it, so... Slowly but surely, Kali eased into a wide smile. "Have I mentioned how much I love you~?" she teased, leaning back against him to snuggle. Strong and protective and intelligent and dedicated and fair taste in jewelry? When his eye finally settled on the worker who was roaming around and seemed to be sorting something. "Excuse me~" he said almost instantly slipping into that almost fake light demeanor. "Get that ring, please," he grinned. The worker seemed to pale somehow but nodded and then set whatever he had been doing down and then moved to take the ring out of the display before finally holding it forwards, Yue simply smiled easily after that. It was incredible to her how instantaneous the shift into this mode was for him when getting him out of it took so long. From a certain odd perspective, she could almost wonder which side of him was the real Leon. ...Or, perhaps this was Yue Leon Alias, and the man under the mask Yuan Erichira? ...Or this Yue or Alias and the other Leon? Ah, whatever the case, she loved both of him dearly, though she certainly preferred the side who bordered on poetic and professed his love for her and carefully tended scars that never quite healed. Nuzzling back against him, she murmured as the worker had gone to get the keys, "You don't have to hide from everyone but me..." All the same, this was followed by an extremely contented grin. Not that I mind having you all to myself at all<3 When the man returned to hold out the ring, she did not move to take it herself. "So... What's the occasion?" the still rather pale man asked- a standard pleasantry in his profession. At this point, Kali turned her grin up to her love, the tiniest sly hint creeping into it. "Leon~?" she half-chimed before dropping to a more sultry tone. "I don't think you've actually proposed properly yet, have you?" In other words, she wanted him on one knee. Right now. "It tends to happen anyways," he answered back. This was true... It wasn't more of a forced thing now... just a habit now. As the worker came back and asked what the occasion was, Yue was trying to find the word to explain when Kali jumped on it first and pretty much stated she wanted him to propose then and there... in a jewelery store... Somewhere in the back of Yue's mind was not protest so much as... a sweat drop maybe. However, in another second, he looked sideways, took the ring in exchange for his child and small pokemon beating stick cane (to which the sales guy who receive said cane reflected a look of confusion), and then looked at Kali. Breathing in quietly before slowly sinking down on one knee, Yue held on the ring and put his free hand to his chest. God... good. Now... what to actually say... For a brief moment, he was at a loss for words, yet that fog around his mind dissipated quickly allowing him to think again. "Kali-" he started but then changed words quickly. -Lista Sabela Vincent... you've put up with me for nearly a year now, and you've done things for me that I wouldn't even really do for myself...and...I just want to say thank you for that first....but... now I want to be able to stay with you... do things for you and just....." Damn it where did the words go? For a moment he was quiet yet managed to get them back after a moment more. "I just want to ask, Kali... will you marry me?" he finally managed to get out. [/scrolly]

He was... really down<3 On one knee<3 In front of people!<3 Declaring his love!<3 In public!!<3 WITHOUT CARING!!<3<3<3 And she was very aware that it seemed to keep changing every ten minutes, but THIS was now, and by far, THE happiest moment of her life<333 Once he finished at last, she stood a few moments suppressing giggles and attempting to compose herself before just giving up entirely, releasing a massive squeal as she fell into glomping him. It was her fucking birthday and he was fucking proposing; she deserved to make a scene. Let anyone try to tell her otherwise. It wasn't like he was going to fall down in such a steady position or anything. Burying herself against him and nuzzling, she squeaked, "I. LOVE. YOOOUUU<<333" After this, she simply fell into a stream of giggles, completely unaware of the looks they were/she was now getting. After a few seconds, however, he recovered and found his arms wrapping around her and hugging her back. "Hey now...." he stated quietly. "That's not a yes or a no, you know." Oh sure he was just playing with words and being a general jerk to the language that had been used, but that was who he was and what he did, and Yue wasn't going to change as far as he saw it. The worker behind the counter cleared his throat rather loudly as a hint/warning, but then forced a professional pleasant smile. In retrospect, that probably would have been good to ask before the whole display. Eh, no matter. It wasn't likely there was anything here they couldn't technically afford, and it didn't even look to be among the more expensive pieces in the store. Composing herself (read: standing up with Yue but still just as giddy and clingy), Kali's eyes caught the price tag just about the time the man answered, "Three-twenty-nine, plus any minor sizing fees." Ah, pff. Kali sniffed a small hint of a laugh; she owned a few things more expensive than that though actually Leon didn't know that as far as she knew so she should probably keep quiet. "You charge to size it?" she asked with an eyebrow slightly cocked, but shrugged. Some places did that free, but whatever. "Eh well, I'm-..." She help up her left hand (placing her right on Leon's arm instead, as she couldn't let go of him for too long; that would be ridiculous) and placed a thumb to each finger as she looked at it, slightly mouthing something to herself. "Five and a quarter," she finished as she retook her original position, apparently having the ring size of each finger memorized... "..Ah," replied the man. "This one's currently five-point-five if I recall corr--" "Close enough," she interrupted a bit excitedly. For all that this had worked up to, why would money matter especially when Adrian's funding was making a comfortable arm every which way. However, that did remind him that the Duchess hadn't come around the lab at all lately...Hm. He'd deal with that bit later. Realizing that Kali had finished speaking for him, Yue blinked (or possibly winked given his miss-- yeah we know). "Ah yes," he finally stated before fishing out his wallet and stopping a moment reminded that he usually didn't keep money on his person outside of...oh wait. Folding the wallet back up, Yue pulled a credit card from his sleeve and held it out easy enough. When the card had been taken, Yue looked back at Kali and found a light half smirk coming to his face, yet he didn't say anything right off. [/scrolly]

She barely listened as the man explained the warranty and policy on repairs and cleaning and such (all of which had been gimped a bit in light of ever-decreasing business), being far too busy removing the ring to quickly put on and slipping the rest of the things into Yue's coat pocket.
